Mythical Creatures AU: The Akuma Class

Here’s the first class post for Mythical Creatures ya’ll! Enjoy and keep an eye out for the rest! @imsparky2002 @booksrbetterthanpeople @nerdy-chocomallow

Marinette:

Half Fire Dragon, Half Werewolf

Species Info:

FIRE DRAGONS: Some common features fire dragons are known for include their large, upward curved horns, golden reptilian eyes, scales that range from burning red to vivid orange, wings that resemble leaping flames, golden claws on their hands and feet. They are also known for their powerful fire breath and flame summoning abilities, as well as transforming into their massive reptilian forms, as all dragons are capable of doing. They are naturally very warm and can withstand extreme hot temperatures, likely the reason the kingdom is located in the volcanic lands. Most of them live in the Northern Dragon Kingdom, ruled by the Cheng family for over a thousand years. They are known for being wise and fair rulers, loved by the people. Fire Dragons are known for feeling things very strongly and can lose their tempers quickly, and are very passionate about issues that mean a lot to them. They are also said to be violently protective over those that they love.

WEREWOLVES: A werewolf can be identified by their lupine traits, such as coarse fur, pointed ears at the top of their heads, sharp canine teeth and claws, and furry tails. They have extreme enhanced senses, and are thus very sensitive to the world around them, and make excellent trackers. The full moon tends to make them behave aggressively when they are in sight of it, and a plant called Wolfsbane is deathly poisonous to them. When they reach a certain age, they can shift to their wolf form. Most often, they reside in family groups in the dense forests known as “packs”, but there is a council of the leaders of prominent packs that governs issues between different groups. Werewolves are known to be fiercely loyal and protective of their loved ones, and will do anything to keep them safe.

Character Info: Born the Princess of the Northern Dragon Kingdom, Marinette lived most of her life sheltered from the prejudice experienced by hybrids like herself, and can be rather naive about people and their intentions as a result. Nevertheless, she’s known for her bright optimism and kind heart, even if she can be tad neurotic and tends to massively overthink things when she wants them to go right. Her fire dragon side also gives her a heated temper that can be downright terrifying if she’s pushed too far. She once accidentally burned an entire building to the ground when a dragon noble insulted her father! Her fierce loyalty to her family and friends comes from her werewolf side, and she will do anything in her power to keep them safe, no matter what. She’s in a loving relationship with the elf Adrien, gorgon Luka, and her fellow dragon royal, Princess Kagami of the East. She loves each of them deeply, and would give anything to see them happy. She’s also a passionate creative who loves to design and make clothing. She does struggle quite a bit with anxiety, and fears that her nerves and indecisiveness will make her a terrible ruler to her people, who she cares for immensely. Thankfully, her friends are always there to reassure her.

Adrien:

Elf

Species Info: While there are multiple different types of elves, such as light elves, dark elves, elves of the wood, etc, they all have some distinctive features shared between them, these being their pointed ears, brightly colored eyes, long hair and skin that shines in the light of the sun. They wield minor powers of sorcery, mainly in the fields of healing and illusions, and are known for being very proficient shots with a bow and arrow. Most of the different types of elves live in their own settlements, which are run by a parliament structure, with all the different settlements sending a representative to a council each year. Elves have been known to be somewhat cold and emotionally closed off, but they care deeply for justice and doing what’s right. An elf will be a loyal friend once they warm up to you. They are also known for being very prideful, and are highly unlikely to turn down a challenge, no matter what that may be.

Character Info: Possibly one of the closest things to a living ray of sunshine, Adrien is a friendly, happy-go-lucky young light elf who always tries to look at the bright side of life. Having grown up sheltered by his parents, who are high-ranking elven nobility, Adrien loves getting the chance to experience new things and make new friends, though his curiosity has gotten him into some dangerous trouble more than a few times. This tends to set him apart from many of his fellow elves, who are known for being haughty and closed off to those who are not elves. Adrien looks at everyone equally and believes everyone has something that makes them worth knowing. He’s a very gentle boy, caring greatly for everyone and hating to see people fighting, so it’s a good thing he seems to have a talent for defusing conflicts. He’s absolutely adored for his sweet nature by all three of his partners, and all three are fiercely protective of him, while he longs for nothing more than to see them and all his friends smile. He also cares very much for his cousin Felix, though their relationship can be strained at times. And he can seemingly never find himself able to turn down a dare…

Alya:

Swamp Witch

Species Info: At first glance, a swamp witch may be indistinguishable from a human, but upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the differences. They typically have ancient runes and markings in various places on their skin, and their eyes glow with an unearthly light. They also tend to have wild, unkempt hair, patches of moss all around their skin, and always carry around their magic staffs. They wield strong powers of sorcery, specially pertaining to plant life and other natural forces. They are also incredible healers, with other species coming from far and wide for their restorative potions. They typically inhabit swamps and marshes, hence the name, and have strong connections to their homes and the creatures within, and the groups they live in are known as “covens”. They’re known for being mischievous and playful, loving to play pranks, but also very helpful to anyone in need.

Character Info: Known for her fierce and passionate nature, Alya is a powerful witch who’s bad side you want to avoid at all costs. Known for her fierce loyalty and protectiveness of her friends, Alya sort of acts like the big sister of the group, dispensing good advice and relationship help like it’s no one’s business. She’s also very concerned with the safety of the people of Miracularia, and her personal passion project is to create a sort of network spell that can instantly spread vital news and information to everyone all at once, allowing them react quickly and efficiently. Alya is in a loving relationship with the Kappa Nino, and won’t hesitate to slap anyone who tries to mess with him with a nasty hex to get them to back off. Her closest friend is Princess Marinette of the North, who she works to try and help understand more of the world outside her kingdom. Alya is also a fierce defender of equal rights for everyone, and will never hesitate to speak up when she feels that an action or decision is unfair. It’s for this reason that she’s also working to start a group amongst all the species of Miracularia that promotes everyone being given just and fair treatment. She aims to present it before the Magical Council of Elders.

Nino:

Kappa

Species Info: Kappas are recognizable by their turtle-like appearance, with them commonly having shaggy, mossy hair, bright red eyes, scaly green skin of varying shades, and webbed feet and hands, with their most notable features being the large shells on their backs. Kappas also have a small divot at the top of their heads, which they must keep filled with water in order to survive on land, hence why they are known to wear hats. They are known to be incredibly strong swimmers, moving very quickly in the water, as well as having the power to manipulate water and the flow of streams and rivers. They typically inhabit rivers and marshy areas, and reside in small family groups, that answer to a high council of chosen members. They are known to be rather shy, preferring to keep to themselves with artistic pursuits, but can also be quite mischievous.

Character Info: Nino is one of the calmest and most easygoing teens in all of Miracularia, without a doubt. It takes a LOT to get this young Kappa riled up for any reason…though his best friend Adrien’s father does seem to have a unique talent for pushing his buttons. He can’t stand how the man treats and isolates his son, and has vowed to show Adrien as much as he can of the world. But besides that, Nino, unlike most kappas, is very outgoing and friendly, always up to meet new people and learn new things. He’s also known to help his friends unwind and bring their stress levels down, usually by showing them the meditation techniques taught by the elder kappas. Perhaps one of Nino’s greatest passions in life is his girlfriend Alya, who may as well have hung the stars in the sky if you ask him. He adores her and helps her cool down when she’s going a bit overboard. He’s also fiercely protective of his younger brother, Chris, who looks up to him greatly. But perhaps Nino’s greatest passion is his music. He plays the mandolin and often composes songs with his good friend Luka. He hopes to get into the Museala Academia when he’s old enough.

Chloé:

Faery

Species Info: Faeries are known among humans and mythofolk alike for their stunning beauty, and they are very proud of this fact. Their most notable features include their long hair that floats around their heads, crystalline eyes in vivid and unusual colors, skin that gives off a shimmering aura, and of course, their large, iridescent wings, one of the greatest sources of pride for the species. Faeries have mastery over a special type of magic known as glamour, which involves changing the appearance of things, most often making them more beautiful. They also have some minor healing powers and are quite in tune with the natural world, particularly animals. Most faeries in Miracularia reside in the Fae Empire, located on the Isle of Wingvale in the North Sea, which is ruled by the Shining Empress, with a parliament of noble families. Faeries tend to have high opinions of themselves, often boasting about how beautiful and special they are, and are known to react quite poorly when they feel they’ve been insulted. However, they are fiercely loyal and can be very generous when you befriend one.

Character Info: Chloé is one beautiful and high-class faery, and man does she know it! Hailing from a high-ranking noble family of Wingvale, Chloé has a somewhat inflated ego and can be something of a braggart. Incredibly proud of her extraordinary giftedness with the use of glamour magic, she will never pass up a chance to show up her skills and then boast about what a great job she did. Always dressed in the brightest and most impressive fashions of faery culture, this is one mytho who needs everyone to notice her everywhere she goes. However, underneath all the arrogance and bluster, there’s a girl with a truly good heart who wants all the people she cares about to feel as beautiful as possible, especially her sister Zoé and her lifelong best friends, Sabrina and Adrien. (She may or not be plotting unpleasant things for Gabriel with Nino.) It’s also likely that most of her more unpleasant behaviors stem from the need she’s always felt to impress her dismissive and uncaring mother, Lady Audrey. But with the help of her friends, she’s starting to learn that the woman just isn’t worth her time.

Sabrina:

Banshee

Species Info: A banshee is distinguishable from a normal ghost by a few unique features. They are known to have long, blood red hair that hangs over their faces, pitch black eyes only lit by a small blue flame, and their bones are known to show through the skin of their limbs, which end in pointed claws. They will also typically be dressed in clothes made of loose, light fabric that floats around them. Banshees are perhaps most well known for their powerful screams, which can be heard for miles and are typically used when angry or in self-defense. These vocal emissions are known as “keening”. However, they also have minor psychic abilities and can read the thoughts and emotions of those they have close relationships with. Their main habitat is the region known as the Deadlands, an area of largely decaying vegetation and gloom, and typically roam in family groups known as “wails”. Banshees are known for being quite shy, but also highly sensitive, they feel their emotions very strongly. They hold those close to them dearly and are known to be fiercely protective.

Character Info: Gentle and timid by nature, Sabrina is one who typically prefers to follow rather than lead. Her struggles with self-confidence have been present ever since she was a child, and she often has trouble saying no and standing up for herself, with Chloé often being the one to do it for her, leading people to take advantage of her when the blonde faery was absent. Thankfully, with the help of her friends and her loving girlfriends, Chloe’s sister Zoé and the shimmerling Cosette, she’s learning to advocate for herself and do things that she wants to do. Despite her shyness, Sabrina is known, like most banshees, to be very emotional and will often start crying uncontrollably whenever someone she cared about gets hurt or upset. It’s just a sign of how much she loves them. And woe to anyone who makes her angry for any reason, they will wish they were never born! Even with her timidity, Sabrina has a talent for organization and managements, and has discovered that she loves putting together parties and events of all kinds, with this talent helping her to begin coming out of her shell.

Max:

Kelpie

Species Info: Kelpies are known for several distinct features, including long hair that crests on top of their head, resembling a horse’s mane, razor sharp teeth, scaly blue-green skin, spiked fins on their arms and legs, and tails that resemble those of a seahorse. However, when on land, their tails transform into legs with hooves in place of feet. Kelpies have powers of hydrokinesis and are capable of hardening water to form different constructs. Once they reach a certain age, they can transform into a horse form that’s capable of both swimming and running faster than the wind. They typically inhabit lakes and ponds all over Miracularia and live in larger family groups known as “herds”. Kelpies are known for being somewhat ill-tempered, and can be hostile and aggressive towards strangers, but are known for being compassionate and protective towards friends and loved ones. They are also fiercely protective of their homes and typically prefer staying in the water to going on land.

Character Info: Max is a bit different from most other kelpies, in that he has an intense fascination with the surface, going up whenever he can to explore and learn as much as possible. He doesn’t care that his kind sees him as odd because of this, as acquiring new knowledge is one of Max’s favorite things in the world. He’s a brilliant inventor who has crafted numerous machines and tools that make life easier for the people of Miracularia, including a fully sentient automaton who he gave the name Markov! His greatest desire to to one day be accepted into the Astranian Academia of Science and Innovation, and he’s well on his way. Even with all his brilliance, Max is not the best in social situations. He tends to be standoffish and cold to people he’s unfamiliar with, and can even sometimes be seen as rude to those who don’t know him. However, that goes out the window with his friends, but he especially his partners, Kim and Ondine. He treasures them both with all his heart and would do anything for them, but he sometimes struggles with feeling unworthy of them due to them both being royalty while he himself is not. Thankfully, they are both always there to reassure him and remind him of how unique and wonderful he is.

Alix:

Djinn

Species Info: The identifying features of a Djinn include their long dark hair, typically clasped in a high ponytail, their hypnotic silver eyes, brightly hued skin that runs through gambit from blues to violets to pinks, and the fact that in place of legs, they hover on curls of mist that almost resemble snake tails, tapering off at the ends. They are also known to enjoy wearing lavish jewelry and fine fabrics. Djinn are unquestionably one of the most powerful species of Mythofolk, known for their power to alter reality based on their desires and those of others. It’s for this reason that they are a highly disciplined people, carefully instructed on using their powers responsibly from a young age. They also possess some shapeshifting abilities, mainly in disguise and altering their appearance. Djinns’ preferred ecosystem is the desert, so they typically tend to live in the Barrens of Sand in family groups that vary in size. The Djinn Council oversees them and mandates the responsible use of their powers. Djinn are for being quite mischievous, always up for a good joke or prank, and aren’t particularly fond of giving straight answers for anything, but they are also known for being loyal and generous friends. Of all Mythofolk, Djinn perhaps bear the greatest grudge towards humans, having spent centuries effectively enslaved by them.

Character Info: A playful prankster if ever there was one, Alix loves to use her djinn powers to cause all sorts of mischief, though she never means any harm and apologizes when she can tell she’s gone too far. While she may like to mess with them from time to time (especially Kim), Alix truly loves her friends and would do anything to help or protect them. She’s known for her fierce loyalty and will never turn her back on someone she cares about, no matter what. She’s also known for being a bit temperamental, and doesn’t much care for being told what to do, especially if she can’t see a good reason for it. She’ll rebel against authority when she feels it’s necessary, and this has gotten her into trouble a handful of times. Despite her being somewhat of a troublemaker, Alix also has a passion for history, wanting to learn everything she can about the events in their world and the times that came before. Besides this, her greatest passion is athletics, with her dreaming of competing in the Miraculariod one say, specifically the racing competitions, as she knows very few can rival her in speed.

Kim:

Water Dragon

Species Info: Features to look for when identifying a water dragon include their straight, sleek horns that point backwards along the sides of their head, their vivid green eyes, scales that run the range of teals and blues, webbed feet and hands, fins on their arms and legs as well as serpentine tails. They also have a tall, crest-like fin on their backs in place of wings. Water dragons have some of the strongest hydrokinetic powers of any species in Miracularia, able to summon hurricanes, torrential downpours, and tsunamis. They can also breathe underwater and are incredibly strong swimmers, as well as sharing a connection with aquatic life. Like all dragons, they can transform into their faint reptilian forms. Most water dragons reside in the Western Dragon Kingdom, located on the coast of the Shimmering Seas, and ruled by the Lê family for generations. Water dragons are known for loving to have fun, always up for a joke or a party, but they are also known to be as tempestuous as the ocean itself, losing their tempers quickly but also being just as quick to calm down. They are also known for their loyalty and being very affectionate to those that are close to them.

Character Info: Daring, brash and always up for any challenge, Kim is a prince who doesn’t always do the smartest thing, but is trying for the sake of his people, who he deeply cares for and wants to do right by. While he can be impulsive and very quick-tempered, just as quick to whip up a tsunami as he is to crack a joke, Kim also has a deeply caring side that will do whatever he has to in order to protect those that are close to him. He will also be the first to stand up for someone who’s being treated unfairly, especially if it’s his best friend, Brecken, taunted for not liking to fight, or his childhood friend, Princess Marinette of the North, being harassed for being a hybrid. There are times when he can be a bit too quick to jump into a fight and start throwing fists, it’s only because he cares so deeply for his loved ones, who appreciate it, even if they wish he would keep a cooler head. Kim is a passionate athlete, who takes any chance he gets to show off his prowess, as well as his impressive physique. Like Alix, he dreams of competing in the realm-wide games someday and is well on his way to qualifying for the Magic Ball League. Perhaps one of the few things he’s more passion about than sport is his beloved partners, the kelpie Max and mermaid princess Ondine. He would do anything to protect either of them and can be a bit possessive at times, but they both find it cute.

Juleka:

Gorgon

Species Info: The indisputable most recognizable feature about a gorgon is their hair, which comprises of a nest of writhing snakes, which come in a host of different species, from pythons to garter snakes. They are also known for the bright red, reptilian eyes, patches of scales that match those of their snakes, sharp bronze claws, forked tongues, and hissing when they speak the letter ‘s’. All gorgons age 5 and up also wear a special violet crystal on their forehead, which nullifies their infamous power. This of course, being turning anyone who looks them directly in the eye to stone! But gorgons also have additional powers as well. Their snakes are able to hypnotize people and can stretch to any length to serve as a form of self defense, which is aided by their poisonous bites. The majority of the gorgon species resides in the Serpentine Isle, an island on the coast of West Sea, and answer to the Viperion High Council on matters of law. Gorgons are well-known for their playful charm and can befriend and entertain just about anyone they meet. They’re also known for being quite emotionally intelligent, hence their species being excellent communicators and mediators. But word to the wise…don’t mess with their snakes.

Character Info: Despite being shy and quiet, rarely one to speak up, Juleka is a passionate creative who loves to express her feelings through song, particularly through playing her lute and singing the lyrics she feels in her heart. However, her anxiety about performing in front of people and her shyness often prevent her from getting onstage, as much as she really wants to. Thankfully, her friends are helping her to build her confidence and assertiveness, and hopefully one day she will conquer her fear. In the meantime, she’s happy to spend time with the people she cares about, and help them work through their emotions by transforming them into lyrics and poetry, which both she and her brother have a talent for. She hates to see people she cares so deeply for in pain, so finding a way that she could help was something she was more than happy to do. She also tends to be one of the more rational members of the group, often talking her friends down from reckless actions that could put them in danger. She’s incredibly close to her brother, and the two almost seem able to read each other’s minds! Besides Luka, the person Juleka cares the most for is likely her girlfriend, Rose, who she adores unconditionally and can never seem to help smiling around. But be warned, while Juleka may seem timid and unassuming, a fearsome temper can lurk within when she’s pushed too far.

Luka:

Gorgon (See his sister for species info)

Character Info: Unquestionably one of the most emotionally intelligent members of the group, Luka was born with a remarkable ability among Mythofolk known as Aurasight, which means he can see and hear the innermost thoughts and feelings of the people around him, which makes him very skilled at helping them work through those feelings, especially through music, alongside his sister. A deeply caring and empathetic person, Luka hates to see anyone suffering and will do whatever he can to help them, often even at the cost of his own wellbeing, which worries those close to him. He cares immensely for his younger twin, Juleka, and doing anything to hurt or upset her is one of few ways to truly enrage this easygoing gorgon. More than one bully has ended up as a statue. He also loves his three partners, the elf Adrien and dragon princesses Marinette and Kagami. His greatest desire is to make them feel happy and safe. Luka is kind to everyone without judgment and always gives people a chance, which is most Mythofolk, even the most stubborn, can’t help but like him. His greatest passion is music, it’s his way of communicating his heart to those around him, and his gift with it cannot be overstated.

Rose:

Cherub

Species Info: Cherubs are well-known for looking a human’s typical idea of what the god Cupid looks like. Their notable features include fluffy golden hair, bright blush pink eyes that sparkle in sunlight, round rosy cheeks and heart-shaped lips, and their famous white feathered wings. In addition to being strong fliers that can stay aloft for hours at a time, cherubs have an aura about them that spreads positive feelings to everyone in their immediate range. They also have the power to create an aura of affection that can pacify any hostile person or creature long enough for them to be subdued. Cherubs reside in the Cherubim Citadel, a castle-like city that sits atop a sky-reaching plateau just outside the field of blooms, and they are governed by the Council of the Heart. Cherubs are also known for their kind and loving personalities, having room in their hearts for everyone they encounter, and adoring seeing others happy. They also have a natural knack for helping people looking find love, hence why many take up jobs as matchmakers. There is nothing a cherub values more deeply than their loves and friendships, so it’s unwise to try and harm someone they hold dear to them.

Character Info: Without a doubt possessing one of the biggest and most loving hearts in all of Miracularia, Rose always has a kind word or gesture of affection to offer to anyone who may need it. There is nothing she loves more than her cherished ones, and she will do anything to see them happy. A passionate poet at heart, she loves to write words of her love for her friends and share them so that they know how much she unconditionally adores them. Rose is accepting of everyone and will always be the first person to welcome someone new and show them kindness, but she can also be more than a bit naïve and can’t always recognize when someone has ill intent. Thankfully, her friends are always there to help when someone tries to take advantage of her gentle heart. Perhaps her most cherished of all is her beloved girlfriend, Juleka, who she looks as if she raised the very sun in the sky. She would do anything for Juleka, and strives to help her come out of her shell and open up more to people. Rose also has a passion for matchmaking, both platonic and romantic. She’ll always be happy to help set someone up with a new friend or a potential love, and she really does seem to have a talent for it.

Mylène:

Dryad

Species Info: While there are various different types of nymphs, they all have very distinctive features. Those of the dryad, or wood nymph, include their thick, wild hair that comes in various shades of green, their typically tanned skin that bears markings resembling wood grain, and their vivid emerald green eyes. They are also known to have vines growing over their skin and the females are typically on the shorter side. Dryads are known for their strong ties to the natural world, possessing the ability to communicate with plants and help them grow, sharing a particularly strong bond with trees. Each dryad is tied to a particular tree, and whatever harms the tree, harms the nymph. Due to this bond, they typically reside in family groups located all around the vast and lush Everwoods, and like all nymph types, answer to the Elder Nymph Council, which each group sends a representative to. Dryads are known for their gentle and kind natures, being soft-spoken and caring for those that cross their paths, as well as all the plant life around them. However, they are also fiercely protective of nature and the trees they call home, so be mindful of what you do in the forest.

Character Info: Known and adored for her gentle and caring nature, Mylène often serves as the unofficial “mother” of the friend group, always caring for everyone and making sure they feel alright. She’ll always be a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen whenever any of her friends need either one. Sometimes she gets so wrapped up in caring for her loved ones and her beloved forest that she forgets she also needs to take care of herself, which is something her friends are helping her work on. Besides her loved ones, Mylène is also fiercely passionate about protecting her forest home, and does not take kindly to anyone trying to harm or disturb it in any way, especially her beloved bondtree, Needleheart. You would be well advised not to make this petite nymph angry. One way to do this would be doing anything to harm two of the people she cares about the most. One being her lifelong best friend, the Ahuizotl Jesse, who she protects with the fierceness of a mother bear. The other is her beloved boyfriend, the mountain ogre Ivan, who she adores unconditionally and spends every second she can with. Mylène, in spite of her quiet and gentle nature, is also a dedicated and gifted actress, who dreams of one day joining the Dionysian Association.

Ivan:

Mountain Ogre

Species Info: Moutain Ogres are known for their intimidating appearances, with the largest contributors to this being their towering height, and burly, muscular physiques. They are also recognizable by their longer, shaggy dark hair, which they traditionally tie in a low ponytail or bun, the upward-curved, black-tipped horns on their heads, skin in varying shades of gray, as well as large fangs and claws. Mountain Ogres are known for their absolutely immense strength, they can lift up to three tons of weight! They’re also skilled fighters, being one of the three species to initiate the Tribal Combat Games. However, they surprisingly are also talented musicians, and their singing has been known to soothe wildlife. Mountain Ogres reside in regions all around the vast range known as the Misty Mountains, and reside in large tribes, each run by a chieftess. Their structure is matrilineal, meaning the leadership is passed from mother to daughter. They are known for their stoic and reserved personalities, being very slow to open up to people, but are very gentle, compassionate and fiercely protective of their loved ones and friends. You’ll also likely never see one not carrying their trusty club wherever they go!

Character Info: In spite of his menacing bulk and incredible strength, Ivan is a sweet and gentle-natured boy who never wishes to hurt anyone or anything if he doesn’t have to. He cares deeply for both other mythos and the environment, and always strives to do right by everyone as much as he possibly can. It may surprise you to learn that this gentle giant is actually a passionate and talented poet and musician. He’s not the best at communicating his feelings and thoughts out loud, and thus prefers putting them down on paper as songs and verse. Despite his kind and thoughtful nature, you would be wise to avoid harming the people Ivan cares about, as he can crush someone if they make it clear that there’s no other option. As the son of his tribe’s chieftess, he’s expected to become the head of their guard when he’s grown, which he doesn’t really mind, as he’d do anything to protect his little sister, Sasha, the future leader of the tribe. His greatest love is without a doubt his beautiful dryad girlfriend, Mylène, who he adores beyond all sense of reason and would protect with his life. As much as he tries to hide it, Ivan struggles with the shame of being related to his biological father, an outcast from the tribe for his cruel and selfish actions. He sometimes fears that deep down he’s just like him, though his friends are always there to assure him this isn’t the case.

Nathaniel:

Satyr

Species Info: A satyr is easily recognizable by the fact that in place of humanoid legs, they have the lower body of a goat, fur (in varying shades), hooves and all! They can also be identified by their large goat-like horns, shaggy hair in vivid and unusual shades, the fur that coats their forearms, and bright, gem-colored eyes with rectangular pupils. Satyrs are known primarily for their magical tunes that they plan on the panpipes, which have the ability to grow plants, soothe and mesmerize animals, and even create small rain clouds to water their crops! Besides this, they are also gifted climbers, incredibly agile and can balance on just about any surface. They are known to roam the vast plains of Miracularia, and typically reside in groups of five or more families, known as “flocks”, and each flock manages itself with its own rules. Satyrs are quite widely known for being party animals, always up for a wild time and to have fun. They are highly social creatures that are good at making friends and lightening moods. They can also be quite mischievous and love to pull pranks, particularly startling people.

Character Info: Unlike the rest of his kind, Nathaniel isn’t much one for parties or social events. He doesn’t like all the commotion and crowds, and he usually prefers to stick to a quiet night with his sketchpad, drawing the beautiful world around him and all the creatures in it. Nathaniel doesn’t do as well in social situations as the rest of his kind, he finds talking to people he doesn’t know daunting and prefers to avoid it whenever possible. That said, despite his reserved nature, he’s a loyal friend to those that he cares about, and will always be there to defend them whenever they need him. He can also have a shockingly sharp tongue, quick to point out nonsense with a smart barb that catches people off guard, and can sometimes give the impression that he’s unfriendly. However, those who know him can see the truly gentle soul that resides within. This is especially true of his boyfriend, the cockatrice Marc, who finds Nathaniel’s presence soothing and shares his passion for the art of creating stories. Nathaniel can also have a hidden temper that surfaces when the people he cares about are threatened, so you would be wise to stay on his good side. He has a strained relationship with his parents, as they don’t support his artistic pursuits or his relationship with Marc, but he has a much warmer and loving relationship with his aunt, Aya, who encourages him to be himself no matter what.

Kagami:

Earth Dragon

Species Info: An earth dragon is perhaps the most understated of the dragon species in terms of appearance, but that’s just the way they like it, and they are no less majestic. Their most notable features are their large, downward-curved horns that end in gold tips, their vivid eyes that come in varying gem-like colors, their scales that come in various soft green and rich bronze hues, and their long tails that trail behind them. Earth dragons possess a strong connection to nature, able to tap into and communicate with the earth itself, giving it a voice of its own through them. They can also grow and control plants, and have strong terraforming powers. The vast majority of the earth dragons reside in the Eastern Dragon Kingdom, located deep within the Wildering Wildlands, which is ruled by the Noble Tsurugi family. Earth dragons are known for their calm and serene personalities, always seeming at peace with themselves and their environment. They frequently meditate to strengthen their connection with the Earth. However, they are known to be fiercely protective of their loved ones and the environment, so it’s unwise to anger them.

Character Info: Being a draconic princess, Kagami is quite well known for her stoic and reserved demeanor, rarely showing any emotion or losing her cool. This often gives off the impression that she is cold-hearted and doesn’t care about anyone, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Kagami cares deeply for both her loved ones and the people of her kingdom, who she would do anything to prove herself to, no matter the cost. This often causes her to leap headfirst into dangerous situations, desiring to show her worth, and requires her needing her friends to come to her aid. Even with her impulsive tendencies, Kagami is a caring and loyal friend who will always defend her friends, but will also be the first to tell them when they’ve done something wrong that they need to make up for. She also cares deeply for nature and has a profound connection with it, even by the standards of an earth dragon. She often practices her terraforming as a sort of means of meditation. Kagami is also fiercely protective of her three partners, and will not tolerate anyone disrespecting them, no matter what that person’s rank may be. Most of her stoicness comes from the influence of her strict mother, but her friends and family are helping her open up more and learn that it’s okay to feel what you feel inside. In addition, she’s a gifted fighter and dreams of being accepted into the Amazonian Academy of Combat Arts.

Ondine:

Mermaid

Species Info: A real mermaid might look a bit different from the fairytale figure you’re imagining. Features they’re known for include long, following hair that runs the entire rainbow spectrum, watery teal eyes with long eyelashes, sharp fangs, skin that comes in varying shades of reds and violets, gills on their necks and iridescent fins on their arms, and of course, their scaly fishtails that end in elegant, sweeping fins. Mermaids have the ability to connect and communicate with any and all sea life, and care for them diligently. They are also known for their enchanting voices, which put anyone who hear them at total ease. They can also grant others the ability to breathe underwater with a kiss (always done with consent.) They are also incredibly strong swimmers, able to move through with agility and amazing speed. Most mermaids live in the Kingdom de la Mer, located in the brightest and most beautiful region of the Shimmering Seas, and ruled by the Rivas family for many generations. While mermaids are known for being sociable and friendly to everyone they meet, they can also be rather fickle and very emotional. It would best not to upset them if you can avoid it.

Character Info: Having been born the eldest child of the royal family of mermaids, Ondine strives every single day to make her people proud in everything she does and set a good example for her rambunctious younger brothers. Cheerful and bubbly by nature, making friends has always come very easily to Ondine and she loves to meet new people and explore the surface whenever she has the chance. One of her greatest joys comes from singing with her other music-loving friends, and anyone will tell you her voice is absolutely divine. While Ondine is a kind-hearted girl who will always care for and support her friends, she can also be somewhat easy to upset or anger if someone says the wrong thing to her, though she’s just as quick to calm down and apologize. She’s also quite protective of those she’s close to, like her gemstone dolphin companion, Flipp, and her partners, Prince Kim of the West and the intelligent kelpie, Max. She loves to make her boys smile any way she can and they both love it when she sings for them. She’s also quite athletic and always aim to swim faster and faster, hoping to someday be the fastest in the water that there’s ever been.
