Minor Spoilers for Monster Hunter Wilds:
Since Nata becomes a hunter in training at the end of the low rank story in Wilds I can't help but imagine him going through a ton of utterly absurd training exercises to prepare him for being a hunter.
Picturing the poor kid having to run laps with a greatsword strapped to his back, speed eating large launches of meat before doing heavy exercise, firing a bow gun and getting knocked over by the kick back. Deciding to try dual blades since they're lighter than a greatsword and being shocked at how heavy they are. Trying out insect glaive and getting bitten by the kinsect cause they take a while to imprint. Then he tries to do the pole vault jump and keeps fucking it up.
All the while the Hunter is standing by supervising like:
"you better pick it up, a Tigrex would have caught you by now at this pace"
"yknow fun fact the heaviest weapon the guild authorizes is actually the Lance, between it and the shield and you're usually hauling twice your body weight. People think it's the greatsword but they're wrong."
"Remember Nata, it's a hunter's duty to kill when necessary, but luckily we never face any real ethical quandries about that because A) we never kill humans and B) we only kill when our handlers tell us it's ok."
"You gotta start bulking up if you want to build the kind of muscle you'll need for hunting. My approach when I was your age was just to chug honey straight up."
