It's especially sad to me, how apparently common it is for some people to think autistic/neurodivergent people are lying or trying to manipulate them when they're actually being radically honest— it's just "too" honest for them to identify or accept.
It's sad that their honesty is considered "radical" relative to neurotypical society, when it would in nearly all cases be healthier and better for everyone to be more open and honest with each other.

I read posts that have to do with Percy Jackson and its crazy how many times I stumble upon posts where people take things characters do in the wrong way even though some actions can be justified. Especially Percy and Annabeth.
Misinterpretation in the percy jackson fandom is so common. Especially when it’s used to villainize Annabeth and sometimes even Percy. I actually think they know what they’re saying doesn’t make sense but since it gives them a reason to hate a character they just keep ignoring the very necessary context. Like, of course Percy choked Nico, he was betrayed and he woke up startled. And of course Annabeth hated Rachel, her best friend who was supposedly about to die spent his last summer with her instead of spending it with Annabeth. Does this make the actions right? Maybe not but the context more than explains and even justifies the behavior.
Thanks for sending this, I honestly kind of like talking about this issue

Outsiders: Social class and stereotypes don’t define a person, this constant warfare with other groups pushes both down and prevents us from seeing they’re humans with problems too. The system hurts everywhere and everyone copes differently— usually in unhealthy or violent ways when given a bad hand in life but they’re still people. Black and white thinking isn’t good.
Fandom: ✨No✨ pure evil does exist and they are that and should explode forever and ever and deserve it.

Heard my son in the living room saying, "I'm definitely going against better ships than mine," and at first I was tempted to tell him that I have some pretty rare pairs, myself, and that the "popular" ships in a fandom aren't necessarily better ships because more people like them...
Then I realized he was playing War Thunder with his dad.

Thanks for the message, Anon. 😃
Isn’t creepy much like beauty, in the eye of the beholder? 😉

There is great entertainment value in posts like that one and the comments they inspire. I’m reminded of parents whose small children still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, sitting back and listening to conversations about how one manages to eat millions of snacks during one night and never gets a bellyache nor needs a lie down. And how the other one who carries millions of eggs — laid perhaps by a magic chicken? — in a basket is the only one of its species ever seen to carry a basket.
Where the big difference lies is what happens later. Parents know their children will continue to be surprised by Christmas presents and Easter eggs long after they realise the truth about their delivery. In the other case, the truth is the surprise.
Remember… life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. — Hans Christian Andersen

I really wish people would pay more attention to my very near always honest, genuine words instead of reading their biases in my tone and facial expressions, which fairly often don't match neurotypical experience or expectations.
Generally, I don't mean to come off as standoffish or rude or disinterested or anything negative. Sometimes it's just that I don't have the energy to mask anymore; I'm too tired to create or continue the facade for the comfort or acceptance of others.
It's draining when I try to explain this and people still don't listen, or act like I'm lying for some unfathomable reason.
I mask at times, but I don't lie without having an exceptionally good reason to— and a little more of your understanding isn't that.

This is my first time drawing a Hazbin Hotel character, but I had this idea bouncing around in my mind for a while and thought it was pretty funny, especially given how Sir Pentious doesn't know really any modern slang/terms without somehow messing it up. ;) That poor Egg Boi though. XD Also, the number I was going for on the Egg Boi's back was #86, as in "Let's forget this." ;) XD I will admit that he does a bit of a point about the megaphone. ;) XD
*Also, sorry his jacket and hat color are a little off. I couldn't get a good blend with my color pencils, so this was the next best shade. :/
@charsawdeath @enbydemirainbowbigfoot @pastaprincess @lagomorphlady @my-dark-lord @meandtheyeehaws He also doesn't know what "Sliding into someone's DMs" means either. ;) XD XD XD Enjoy!

“Intent guys. Intent.”
I’ve been saying this forever when it comes to this.
Spike’s chip works like an intention alarm. If he does not intend to do harm, then his chip does not go off.
People have cited “Tara” as the excuse for this. But I’ve already argued that the reason why his chip goes off in that scene even if he never intended to hurt Tara is because he intended to hurt Mr. Maclay.
So it’s not just about physical harm. His trigger goes off only if he INTENDS to do any kind of harm. Physical or not. This arc makes far more sense this way rather than if it was just physical harm.
So rather than something being wrong with Buffy in Season 6 as to why Spike can hurt Buffy without his chip going off, maybe it’s more so because he never actually intended to hurt her. It’s just performative.
Deep down, his attempts of violence and assault were not about causing Buffy any harm. They were, in a way, huge respect and faith in her level of strength and power. And the writers decided to completely go against that in what happened in ‘Seeing Red’ because Spike never intends to hurt Buffy. He does hurt her, sure, but it’s not his intention and therefore his chip wouldn’t go off.
Putting Spike’s ability to harm Buffy down as Buffy’s fault was a huge mistake. She is not to blame for Spike’s sense of entitlement of her affection and reciprocation at all. I think this is how they put it right. They make it clear that Spike always had a choice by showing he doesn’t now with The First.
In a way, Spike’s chip was a very cruel trick because it taught Spike to not intend to cause harm. It’s like an animal shock device and The First is now using that functionality to take advantage of Spike. Spike’s chip doesn’t go off at all now because Spike is not the one intending to harm. Instead… The First is.
It’s not a fault or a defect. It works the way it’s supposed to. There’s actually nothing wrong with Spike’s chip until it actively starts harming him without there being any logical reason for it to.
Doing harm is different from intending to do harm. You can harm someone without intending to harm them and Spike never intends to harm anyone anymore except those that actually deserve it.
And a huge problem with ‘BtVS’ is that they make a huge distinction between human/demon as good vs evil by saying that only demons deserve to be hurt.
‘Wynonna Earp’ handles good vs evil much better in that they have the “heroes” question their intentions. I would very much say Spike was prime for that if ‘BtVS’ was brave enough to go there. To change the lore up to “good is as good does/evil is as evil does”. They only give Spike this “hero” status now because he has a soul and not because he already learned his lesson.

Sometimes you can be fooled into thinking it’s a soul bond, when in fact it was held together with a cheap adhesive that wore off.
