in isolation I think it's fine as a writing move for sasha and melanie to misattribute people weird to them at their Spooky Jobs as being because of misogyny, that is a reasonable conclusion for those characters to make when they are unaware of the Spooky Reasons that people don't want them involved, but alas it leads to this weird thing I see sometimes where fans get boiling mad at these characters and start saying "this stupid bitch thinks she's experiencing discrimination in the workplace when akshually she's being iced out for completely logical reasons due to her lack of skills, something she might realize if she weren't so self-centered with such a massive victim complex." like guys. you don't actually need to say this.

can i be honest? i dont think tim and bear have a really grand proposal. i think it happens at their apartment that they got bc bear finally put his foot down and went "baby you're immunocompromised. you cannot live on a murderboat on the gotham river" and tim reluctantly gives in but not without finding some random apartment complex that's still near the marina so he can go down and get his ass beat at poker by pie. and so it happens late at night, when tim is in nightwing sleep shorts and bear's old band tee on and bear is in some horrendous anime sweats and no shirt because their home is the only place he's ever felt comfortable leaving his scars out. and the lamplight gives a soft hazy glow to bear's tattoos and tim reaches under the shirt to scratch and in the movement bear can see the bear tim got tattooed onto his hip and he can't help grin softly. and they're both sitting on the couch as some lame ass procedural drama goes on in the background and they're eating batburger. tim's got the nightwing special and bear has the sword robin combo. and the ringbox is burning a hole through bear's thigh and tim makes some stupid comment about how lame meredith sounds begging some guy to love her and all bear can think is how much he loves this boy. so he gets up to get some water and he positions his phone so that he can get the best video bc tim is a sucker for home video and he plops down on the sofa hard enough that tim turns around to complain except bear is holding the ringbox open with a soft "marry me?" and tim goes "what?" and bear says "baby i have loved you since you walked through the gates of our high school and i loved you when you left and i loved you when you came back. i love the way you talk to yourself and i love the way dance when i put music on. and i even love the fact that you shove your ice cold feet in my shins every night. and i don't know exactly what to say except that i want to do this everyday until you get dentures and i get a hip replacement. and i want to be horny in the old age home and-" and tim cuts him off sob-laughing and says "can i say yes now?" and bear who is also crying says "wait, let me finish love. -and i want to do this in as many lives as we get together. so all this to says, timothy jackson drake, will you marry me?" and tim launches himself bear and shouts "yes, yes, yes! a thousand times over, yes" and they're sobbing as they slip the rings on each other.

It's amazing that Bridgerton, the show, and the fandom, want me to believe that Cressida is just this stereotypical mean girl and Penelope is the innocent girl who can do no wrong because, let's be honest, both of them are mean girls. At least Cressida's retorts aren't published in a gossip site for the whole society to read. A lot of people use Penelope's life, with her mother and such, as justification for all the harm that she's done and it's kind of gross because what do you mean her outing a young pregnant black woman is justified? What do you mean being ableist is justified just because others were mean to you? It's not, and I wish people would stop painting it that way (especially as someone who has been bullied while understanding wanting to have a catharsis, it would be primarily directed at those who've harmed me and not other random people!). If you can use Penelope's background as a way to justify her actions, then don't be mad when people do the same for Cressida especially since the show also tells verbatim what she's dealing with. I would be a little snappy (not to her extent though) too if I were in her shoes.

Is Cressida wrong for bullying Penelope? Yes, very wrong. However, if you're going to say that her background doesn't justify her treatment toward Penelope, then keep that same smoke for her [Penelope] as well.

I'm sorry but. . .Eloise is not gonna be on Penelope's side when it comes to Colin finding out about Lady Whistledown. She was very justifiably hurt to know her best friend lied to her and published all that she did as LW

I understand the desire wanting Eloise to stand up for Penelope and her endeavors after Colin finds out, but if anything, post-LW reveal may be a wonderful time for Colin and Eloise to actually bond! Eloise had time to mourn and process with the entire situation, so she'd have more empathy for Colin in those circumstances, and I have a horrible need for us to finally get Colin and Eloise sitting out on the swings, smoking and talking and relating to each other. what better than knowing that that they loved her and she hurt them? That they trusted her and she betrayed that?

I think Eloise, in realizing Colin finally knows about LW, may actually have the most tenderness for her brother she's had since they were 9 and 12.

I don't understand why people seem to dislike "Girl Dinner" and "Girl Math" so much.

Like, it's not about girls being unable to take care of themselves or make smart financial decisions. Girl Math is literally just about how under the capitalism small purchases that add up to a large number don't feel as expensive as one large purchase. It's the same phenomenon as being willing to pay $10 for a product but not $8 + $2 shipping. Or spending cash feeling different from spending on a credit card.

Yes, women can achieve great things, and they can be smart. We all support women's rights. But we gotta support women's wrongs as well.

After being told that you have to be smart and strong and do everything a man can do or you're a bad feminist and you're setting the movement back fifty years, the ability to just be dumb and carefree feels like taking off a bra.

Yes, women can be smart. But they can be dumb too. We can be weak and dumb and that doesn't make us "bad feminists" or "quirky sexists". It makes us human. And shaming women for their freedom to enjoy their life however they want is counterproductive. Men get to be as dumb as they want without shame, so why is it that when women are the ones who are dumb, you get offended and try to shame them into acting the way you want them to?

We can't have equality until you guys stop shaming women for every little thing they do. We can't have equality if we don't support women's wrongs.

I know people want a marina spinoff really bad and now actually have more hope with Peter mentioning it but I can’t help but think about Stefania saying she’s glad to be done with the kid storyline and to get to do something else and not want her trapped in a spinoff where she would probably just be mom Carina

So many people keep saying this but is choosing to ignore the other part of her saying she loved playing Carina and thought it was great to show that storyline on tv and explained how it's just something she's not personally interested in...this implication that she was miserable playing Carina as a mom is just wild to me all of a sudden. Just because it's not something she wants personally doesn't mean it's not something she wouldn't continue to do. Obviously she would want to play the other aspects of Carina too which is understandable but saying she would be trapped is such a stretch...she loved Marina and everything the relationship stood for and some of the assumptions and interpretations of that quote are so dramatic.
