Hey Lucas… What is your opinion about fatherhood? Did you always imagine that one day you would be a father or were you initially intimidated by that possibility?

I have thought this boy was fucking gorgeous since maze runner and everyone thought I was crazy back then but now ya'll are frothing over him suddenly as if he wasn't always stunning. idgaf if he was awkward looking that's why i loved him! This hype train is the only thing I will proudly say I was onboard before it was cool lol

I feel vindicated and it's inspiring me to write about some of his characters - gally from maze runner, Erik from warfare, Shepard Leopold from Death of a unicorn, Adam Warlock from Guardians of the Galaxy, Colin Ritman from bandersnatch, Luca from the Bear, mark from Midsommar

Is the interest there? Based on how many times I've watched these movies ^^^ I fucking adore this man

Seeing them for the first time, again

Summary: losing a lung and your friends to wkcd meant Gally had a pretty shit year. What’s the harm however, in seeing a familiar face?

Pairing: Gally (maze runner) x nb!reader

A/N: this is so cringe but I’m so obsessed with him Idc if this flops with the dying tmr fandom// also this is my first attempt at angst so go easy on me

“Hey everybody relax, we’re all on the same side here,” Gally called out amongst the chaos. The faces of his old friends turning towards him in apprehension. The familiarity of his voice momentarily pausing their act of rebellion, the concealment of his face enhancing their confusion.

“What do you mean, we’re all on the same side? Who the hell are you?” Thomas, ever the skeptic, interrogated.

Gally’s eyes weren’t focused on him however, for lingering in the back was the reason he joined the right arm to begin with; y/n. Wretched and messy but all in one piece, they stood in front of him.

It was like seeing them for the first time, all over again.

Gally had heard the familiar siren of the box’s arrival. He wasn’t remotely interested most of the time on seeing who came up with it. On this day however Gally had overworked himself, and the idea of joyfully revelling in a greenie’s newfound terror seemed like a treat.

Towering over the box he spotted a figure hiding amongst the supplies, crouched like a caged animal, eyes wild and ferocious. He had to admit his curiosity was peaked, most greenies were crying at this point. This one however had looked at him in rage, a hand lingered behind their back.

“Where the hell am I?” They snarled, chest slightly heaving, the only real indicator of their fear.

“Your new home,” Gally had replied, a sarcastic smile on his face. His gaze never left the greenie, whose eyes had regarded each and every teen boy in front of them with predatory caution.

“Why can’t I remember anything?” They questioned, eyes never focused on one person.

“All part of the glade’s charm,” Gally said, before he had reached out an arm for them to take. His admiration controlled his limbs before his brain did.

The greenie considered his offer before they had hauled themselves up, and bolted towards the maze doors. Gally hadn’t bothered to run after them, leaving the job to someone who actually cared like Newt. He had however returned his gaze to the supplies, noticing one of the crates was missing a shard of wood, no doubt a fault of the greenie’s.

He had to admit he was enamoured from that point onwards.

Now they stood adjacent, mirroring their first encounter. Y/n was looking at him with rekindled fury, this time paired with their tainted memories. Their gally had died back in the maze, physically and figuratively. This version was a stranger; a defying act against fate.

The fire within them was awakening once again, where it was quieted by the nature of the glade, it now burned with the raw desire for revenge.

Their wrath was overcoming their joy. For where their heart was aching for the comfort of Gally, for the ease of his embrace, the overbearing rage was all-consuming.

Wkcd had taken Gally, that much they were certain of. This was a trick, a taunting illusion created from the depths of their imagination and wkcd’s tampering. Their time confined within wkcd’s laboratories meant they were forever trapped in their own mind, never knowing for certain what was real.

What was real was that there was a time when Gally had been theirs, when his company mellowed their temper and gave them faith. But those feelings had died with him, things were different now. They were both different; no longer two sides of the same coin but two puzzle pieces that didn’t quite fit anymore.

Peter Capaldi on Doctor Who: 'Doctor Strange stole his look'

As he prepares for an all-new Christmas special, the Who actor discusses superheroes, scary scenes and what’s next for the Time Lord

What can you tell us about the Christmas special?

It’s got a returning monster. It’s got Matt Lucas. It’s a sort of tribute to the Christopher Reeve’s Superman movies. It has the Doctor in an adventure with a superhero in New York. What more could you want for Christmas?

What was it like working with Matt Lucas again?

A great pleasure. He’s an absolutely delightful man; I loved working with him and he’s a great talent to have around. He’s sort of a developing character, so it’s different from the way it was in The Husbands Of River Song, and that’s very interesting to watch and see happening.

He’s not the young action hero playing opposite the older Doctor, then?

He can be quite action-packed. I’m not quite at the William Hartnell stage [the first Doctor, who, like Capaldi, played the role while in his late 50s]. I can still run around and chase after a Zygon when called upon to. It’s an action-packed show so we do have a lot of stuff to do. We both just have a more peculiar gait as we do it.

Are you yourself a fan of superhero movies?

No, I don’t really see that many. There seem to be so many that I can’t keep track, aren’t there hundreds of them? I wish they would start making films of The Beano and The Dandy, that might be easier for me.

Who do you think the Doctor’s favourite superhero would be?

He’d be a bit uptight about Doctor Strange. I think he’d be a little bit like: “Bitch stole my look.” I think he would like Wonder Woman, because Lynda Carter is so funny. And I think he’d like Adam West’s Batman. He’d find Adam West great company.

You don’t film the episode in December. Do you have a trick for getting in the Christmas mood?

You don’t have to do that. The curious thing is that it begins to work on you. If you are doing scenes in snow or with tinsel, it obviously triggers something. I immediately begin to get anxious about the presents that I haven’t bought. I feel Christmassy in a kind of “Oh no I haven’t done all the things I should have done” kind of a way.

If little kids watch Doctor Who on Christmas Day, will there be tears? Or might it be too scary?

There’s always a few tears with Doctor Who. But I think they’ll have more laughs. And lots of thrills. I think it has to be a little bit scary. The amazing thing about Doctor Who is the constituency of the audience: the age range that goes from tiny little kids to middle-aged men who should know better. You’ve got to entertain all of them. The Christmas special does that effectively – but being scary is part of that.

What can we expect from the new series of Doctor Who?

It’s got the Doctor in it. And the Tardis flying through time and space. It’s got corridors, which we run down, with nasty surprises at the end of them. We’ve got all kinds of things: we’ve got Romans, we’ve got robots, we’ve got serpents.

Do you feel your portrayal of the Doctor has shifted over the three series you’ve made?

The danger of Doctor Who is that it becomes bland, that the character has to tick boxes, so I try to keep dragging him away from those boxes. The thing is he changes all the time. I think there was a definite move last season to sort of brighten him up. We had to, I think, to break from Matt Smith, who is wonderful and I love, we had to make the Doctor a little more difficult to grasp. Make him not as audience-friendly, as it were. Which, you know, I’m pretty good at.

But it’s more complicated than that. He has to balance all of those things. You have to be able to play to the 7 year old watching, and to the 42 year old. So sometimes you have to be more comic perhaps than you normally would be comfortable with. But it’s important, because really it’s a children’s show that developed into something more complex, a bit more adult-orientated, but we have a duty to entertain the children to whom it was aimed in the first place.

What would your Doctor want Father Christmas to leave him in his stocking?
