Baldur's Gate 3 Companion Head Canon Pokemon Edition
Might not be a surprise but I am a huge Pokemon fan (and very proud of my 1 and 0 in my pokedex). I wanted to do a crossover together with BG3. I always choose the last of the evolution line and base myself on aesthetic and dex entry (not much on stat or move). I also attribute one type per character as it was easier that way so they are the gym leaders of Faerun. I will also give them an Ace according to their different endings (good and bad).
Because there are 1025 pokemons, maybe I didn’t choose the ones you like. Don’t hesitate to propose your picks !
Astarion | Ghost
Banette - Mimikyu - Chandelure - Polteageist - Sableye

Oh god, I just looked it up and Slakoth is over 50 pounds. That's a toddler! (Hope it was a bit smaller and didnt have ita claws yet o.o;;)
You're right to feel whatever kinda way that you do about the Original Sin, etc. stories and I won't argue. But I AM glad we can finally settle the 'do humans lay eggs in the Pokeverse' debate once and for all
#pokemon#pokemon teraleak#pregnancy tw#Then again in the Bloodmoon story theres an ill defined 'child' just carrying their Ursaring mom up a mountain by themself#Theyre almost 300 pounds!#double that if she was actually an Ursaluna!#good lord

“Now,” Arezu began whistfully, “Not to pit two exquisite Ladies against each other, but - if they had to fight, who do you think would win between Lady Lilligant and Lady Sneasler?”
“Sneasler,” Ingo replied instantly.
There was a hot second of stunned silence.
“No hesitation, huh,” Mai noted.
“I am basing myself purely on typing,” the man began explaining as he briefly stopped carving the second wooden spoon he would give as a traditional wedding gift to Palina and Iscan: “If both had been pure Fighting it would have been a perfectly fair fight, but Lilligant has the disadvantage of being part Grass, which Poison happens to be supereffective against.”
“That’s why your Tangela hates me,” Melli commented.
“She does not,” Ingo replied.
“Why does she suffocate me then?”
“I have told you already, her hugs are not an attempt at your life, she is simply made out of a mass of vines which can sometimes result in hazardous situations despite her best intentions.”
“Is there someone Lady Lilligant could take on?” Arezu distracted them.
Ingo turned to her without missing a beat: “Avalugg, Basculegion, and possibly Kleavor, though it would be a very tight match.”
“No she could not take on Lord Avalugg!” Gaeric blurted out.
“He is doubly weak to Fighting and his Rock type would not do him many favors against Grass,” the other man replied, shattering his hopes in one fell swoop.
“But he’s-!” the warden fumbled on his words for a moment, waving his arms vehemently to find a comprehensible enough way to explain himself before having to resort to just: “Big!”
“Fair argument!” Ingo admitted. “But typing wise, he’d be done for. It’s a very unfortunate pair, mostly on account of neither type covering the other’s weaknesses. He would similarly lose against Sneasler, Arcanine, Basculegion, Electrode, Kleavor, and... No, that should be it, I believe. Ursaluna would would put up a valuable effort, but wouldn't survive the Ice. My condolences, Miss Calaba.”
The woman didn’t even move from where she napped, just gave him an ok.
Melli laughed at the disheartened Gaeric.
Mai smacked him to get him to stop.
“He’d be good against Braviary,” Sabi predicted.
That got her a gentle pat on her head, away from the braids she was getting done: “Indeed,” Ingo nodded, “Flying is weak to both Ice and Rock. He’d also fare pretty badly against Kleavor - Bugs are awful for Psychic types.”
“But he’d be good against Sneasler?”
“Oh, he’d decimate her. Both of his types are supereffective against her. Wyrdeer too, she’d have no chance against him. For more information on how weak Poison is to Psychic please refer to Melli and his many defeats at the spoons of Alakazam.” and he ducked to evade a halfhearted slap. “Also Ursaluna! Ground is another powerful weakness of the vitriolic type. Congratulations, Miss Calaba.”
She gave him a thumbs up and continued not caring.
Palina hummed, struggling for a moment with Sabi’s green hair as she tried to untangle a knot: “How’d my young Lord do?” she asked with genuine curiousity: “He hasn’t been mentioned much, has he?”
“Fire type seldom has trouble in matchups, so he’d be fairly fortunate in a fight against most of his fellow Nobles...” the expert mumbled: “Lilligant, Kleavor, Avalugg as I’ve mentioned, Electrode - Ursaluna would asphalt him, though. Together with Basculegion they are his worst enemies. In a fight, of course, I’m well aware they’re on excellent terms.”
Iscan waved a little to reassure him: “The Lord isn’t a big fighter anyways, he probably wouldn’t do too well.”
“Oh, he’d be quite good actually! Plenty of the Nobles would be in trouble against his Water and Ghost combination, he’s rather fiersome! Electrode is the only one to be a total threat to him - those two are probably the ones to look out for the most. Terrific typings, the both of them.”
His sleeve was tugged to take him out of his musings: Lian twisted his mouth at him to properly figure out how to express his question, looking particularly pissed as he side-eyed what Ingo refused to look at but knew was probably a very smug Diamond warden with a burning desire to bury the guy alive, which would have severely worsened not just inter-clan relationships but also the fairly relaxed gathering they were having.
“So - this is all just, theories, right,” the kid began.
“Yes, based on types.”
Lian hummed deeply, pressing his mouth flat, and a fairly well-known feeling he could only denominate as Oh No took over Ingo as he dreaded the question.
“So you could tell who would win between Almighty Palkia and Dialga?”
Now that was something not to be touched with a 25 and a half foot pole, as evidenced by the other Pearl wardens shooting a glare at Lian and most of their Diamond counterparts paling notably.
Ingo, bless his heart, completely lost the religious implications somewhere in the cogs of his battle-analitycal machine churning in his brain.
“That would require an actual battle to be determined, actually!” he answered without missing a beat: “Both of them are Dragon types, meaning they have at the same time a massive advantage and disadvantage on one another, so effectively the chance at one prevailing over the other just based on that is rendered null, and since their secondary typings of Steel and Water are completely neutral to one another, a fight between the two of them would end up being rather balanced. It would also probably be an incredible spectacle with a very high chance of completely tearing reality as we know it apart according to professor Laventon’s studies, so it would be best for them and the rest of the world to remain on good terms and never have the chance to settle the score between them if they had any to settle.”
The young warden mumbled an agreement.
Not the way anybody expected a bomb like that to be defused.
But oh thank fuck it worked!
“What about the third one?” Iscan asked meekly. “The worm?”
Ingo buffered for a second: “Dragon-Ghost,” he recalled. “Same exact situation as the other two. No certain prevailing, and we should hope not to find out.”
“Ghost is good against Ghost, right?” Palina intervened.
The man nodded. A funny thought striked him: “With enough determination, it could be taken down by Basculegion. And by Avalugg as well.”
Gaeric cheered at his Lord’s good honor being restored.

Yay little mer snippet! Just a little thing as a break from Donut Hole. Probably won't post on ao3 (Edit I did lol)
Lost and Found
They didn’t see the storm coming.
Both clans knew the skies and the weather almost as much as they knew their watery home. They should've seen this storm coming days in advance.
But they didn't.
All they could do was hunker down in their settlements and pray to Almighty Sinnoh that their loved ones out at sea would return home safe.
Even deep inside their iceberg, Irida wanted nothing more than to curl up inside her den, like she did when she was a pup and a bad storm would roll over.
But as leader, she wanted to make sure her clan was safe first.
Thank Sinnoh, most of them were doing what she wanted to do; tucked away safe inside the many ice caves and dens they had made, little ones hiding under blankets and their relatives.
Lady Sneasler and Lord Ursaluna had plopped themselves down in the medical den with Calaba. Lord Kleavor and Avalugg would be safe under the waves, and Lord Arcanine…
Well, he didn't have to suffer this storm. It was a relief, in a strange, painful way.
Lady Sneasler yawned as Irida entered, without a care in the world. Lord Ursaluna barely even acknowledged her presence.
“Did everyone return to the settlement?” Irida asked.
Calaba let out a quiet, but still irritated, huff. “Palina has yet to return. Gaeric went out to retrieve her just as the storm hit.”
Of course. Since the passing of Lord Arcanine, Palina had been grieving away from others. She wanted solitude, as dangerous as that was, and Irida could respect it on some level.
But not in this weather.
And Irida truly respected Gaeric as her mentor and practically her brother, but he still struggled with empathy at the best of times.
“Right. Right. I'll go after them.” Irida decided, rubbing her cheeks and smoothing her whiskers, trying to not stress too much.
Palina and Gaeric were very, very good swimmers. She was positively certain she'd find them just outside the iceberg.
“Please be safe.” Calaba said as Lady Irida left.
Dipping into the frigid waters (for some, not that Irida was complaining), Irida was immediately hit with the turbulent, stormy sea.
With smaller storms, it was easy to hide under the waves. But with large storms like this? The currents would be thrown off kilter, the sediment on the sea floor would be dragged up, it was difficult for even the strongest of swimmers to keep their head on straight.
But Irida pressed on, weaving through the ice floats the best she could. Even through the dark waters she could see the flashes of lightning, hear the boom of thunder.
This couldn't be a natural storm. This had to be from Almighty Sinnoh themself. Perhaps something had angered them. It was bound to be the false worship of the Diamond Clan.
(Little did she know, Lord Adaman was having the exact same thought.)
Just at the edge of the icy waters, where the glaciers were nothing more than floating bits of snow on the surface of the water, she found them.
“There you two are! This storm is too bad to be out!” Irida said as she rushed forward to greet them, unable to stop the worried tone in her voice.
“Blame her.” Replied Gaeric in a low rumble, narrowing his eyes at Palina.
“Oh? Oh? Blame me? Blame me for making sure Lord Arcanine’s only son and heir is safe in this storm? Yes! Yes, let's blame me!”
Irida loved these two like family. Siblings. Close as could be.
She would also love it if they could stop bickering for just one night.
“You two can fight about this later, inside the settlement.” she said, swimming behind to try and urge them forward. Irida had her fill of stormy weather for one night, thank you.
The three of them had barely started their trek home, when Palina spotted something lying at the bottom of the ocean. Thank Sinnoh that the waters were relatively shallow here, otherwise she never would've spotted it.
It was…a black and white….lump.
“Wait…What…is that?” Palina asked quietly, finding herself slowly drifting down to investigate.
Gaeric turned, sounding confused. “What? No, we should go back. This storm is dangerous.”
As Irida began following her down, he grumbled under his breath, but reluctantly began to follow as well.
The three approached the mysterious object on the sea floor, and they all quickly realized that the black and white lump was big. Very big.
“What…is it?” Asked Irida, glancing at Gaeric for guidance.
But he slowly shook his head. “I'm not…sure. Don't get too close. We don't know if this is a threat-”
His eyes narrowed as they approached, and for a brief moment, terror flashed across his face. Grabbing the two girls, he pulled them down to a rocky outcove to hide. “Orca, that is an Orca, stay down-” he hissed.
Palina did not do that, immediately slipping away to peek over the rocks. “Really? Just laying on the ground like that? That doesn’t seem very…Orca-Like.”
“You have the self preservation of a sea cucumber.” he growled. “I’ve seen Orcas, you haven’t. Get back down here!”
She crept a bit closer, sticking close to the rocks in case she needed to duck back down. “No…the shape is wrong. And I can see…fabric?”
Irida now poked her head above the rocks, much to Gaeric’s dismay. “...I think she’s right. I’m going in closer.”
“You two are going to die, and at your funeral I will tell everyone how stupid you were.”
Palina and Irida inched closer and closer, still remaining cautious as they approached. More details came into focus. There was a torso, head, arms, hands-
It was a merman, wearing strange striped garments, curled up and completely unconscious. The only signs of life came from the subtle twitch of his fingers.
“It’s not an Orca!” Palina said over her shoulder, “I-I think it's a merman? With Orca colors?”
That finally got Gaeric to take a look, swiftly coming over to join them, brows furrowed in thought. “I…don’t recognize him. He’s not one of us.”
“He’s not part of the Diamond Clan, either. He doesn’t have their colors or insignia…” added Irida with a frown. “Would he have come from a migratory pod?”
Gaeric shook his head. “There’s been no reports of pods like that. We haven’t had traveling pods of Orcas like him in years.” He crossed his arms over his chest. “...he could be an exile.”
The very word caused Irida to recoil and Palina to wince.
Exile was the worst punishment possible. Practically a death sentence, forcing a mer from their group to live on their own, to grow sick and weak and mad from the isolation. It was worse than a death sentence, only for the most heinous of crimes. Neither of the three there had ever seen it before, from their clan nor from the Diamond clan. A punishment spoken only in terrified whispers.
Palina shook her head. “No, no. You can’t just assume the worst like that. M-Maybe the storm swept him away from his pod? Maybe he got lost?”
She turned to Irida directly. “We can’t just leave him here. He’ll drown. He’ll die. I can’t handle another death on my conscious like this.”
“Irida, I have to object.” counted Gaeric, leaning over to try and block Irida’s view of Palina. “I cannot allow you to bring this stranger to our settlement. He could be a threat! He could be a murderer. What if he tries to eat the pups-”
“Gaeric!” Palina shouted, tugging on his hair and earning a pained yelp.”Stop assuming he’s an exile!”
“I didn’t say he was! But if he’s been alone for Sinnoh knows how long? Merfolk go crazy when they’re alone!”
Irida hummed in thought, glancing between the two and the unconscious merman.
Palina was right, if they didn’t do anything, the merman would die. He’d drown, and in a matter of time the crabs and eels would descend upon the corpse until there was nothing left.
Gaeric was right, they didn’t know this merman, they didn’t know how dangerous he was. This merman was big, too, much bigger than anyone at the settlement, he could overpower them if he wanted. He could be a danger.
The merman shifted slightly, and began making a low, rumbling croon. His face, even while unconscious, looked pained.
He was calling for someone. Something. Anything.
And as the three waited with hesitation, nothing came.
“We’re taking him back.” Irida said with an air of finality. “Gaeric, help us carry him.”
“What?! I’m opposed to this! I’m the one who said we shouldn’t take him in, and you want me to carry him?! He’s probably heavy!”
“Oh, what?” Palina said, smug from having won, “Those muscles you’re so proud of are just for show, huh?”
He growled at her, a rumble low in his throat, but agreed. “Fine. Let’s carry this stranger back home.”

Day 13
I got the last two Pokemon!!
All in one Distortion!
I found a Linking Cord first and after catching a Steelix, I got a Metal Coat!
Arceus loves me!
I have finished the Obsidian Fieldlands Pokedex!
As far as I could
Aipom and Ambipom are the only ones missing
I caught a Togetic then Togepi in the Crimson Mirelands
Before going into the Crimson Mirelands Bow was level 92, Lek was level 87, and Ken, TheCoolerKen, Coil, and Jewel were level 77
The leveling was so off!
I kinda felt guilty
The overall Pokedex was 96 seen and 92 caught
Before I even got to the Crimson Mirelands, that section of the Pokedex was 35 Pokemon seen and 33 caught
Then after one day, I had 66 Pokemon caught and 64 seen
I won't be able to get the Goomy line as I need the fish lord
Will I really be staying in the Crimson Mirelands for only 2 days?
Compared to 13 in the Obsidian Fieldlands
I guess
Got all the Unown in the Crimson Mirelands and Jubilife Village
Got 9/20 Wisps, will need the fish lord again! to get the last two

What REALLY happened to the Hisui form pokemon?
So, like, I've noted that a decent portion of the fandom seems to assume ALL the hisuian variants have gone extinct, but when you think about it that's not quite the case.
You have, like, four variations.
Lost evolution. This fits any pokemon that's still in Sinnoh in the present but can no longer evolve. Ursaluna, Kleavor, and Wyrdeer cound here.
Regionally extinct. Variations of pokemon no longer found in Sinnoh in the present, but whose base form still exist elsewhere. Lilligant, Basculegion (depending how you view white striped basculin), Avalugg, and Braviary. Would also count Goodra.
Variation extinction. When the species is both unavailable in present Sinnoh, and it's variation also unavailable elsewhere naturally. (For the sake of consistency the great crater of paldea doesnt count) Zoroark is the main example here.
Implied evolution. This is species of pokemon that have a hisuian variant but are also available in Sinnoh in the modern timeline, giving the implication that these pokemon may have evolved into these later forms due to changes in their enviornments, removal from hisui, etc. This mainly includes voltorb (whose available in sinnoh via the swarm feature), growlithe, and of course sneasel.
These examples also overlap. For instance, while sneasel is still around in Sinnoh, it's evolution into Sneasler appears to be lost with Weavile seemingly taking it's place. So this overlaps both with the implied evolution and lost evolution variations.
Now I'm sure I'm not the only person whose made this observation. But while thinking of the various reasons the hisuian pokemon aren't around anymore, it got me thinking about the nobles, who are all exclusively hisuian pokemon. I, like a lot of other people, was a bit sad they more or less died out.
But then I remembered breeding was a thing.
Considering the nobles could breed with other pokemon not of their species, or that their species would evolve into something else, its fully possible the nobles of Hisui actually still have descendents in Sinnoh.
To give an example, Lady Sneasler's might be a pack of Johtonian Sneasels and Weaviles.
Lord Wyrdeers descendents are likely just Stantler. Same with Ursaring.
Then you have examples like Lady LIlligant. Although Lilligant aren't available in Sinnoh anymore, perhaps her descendent is instead a Roserade or something.
I just think it's a fun thing to think about.
Perhaps the noble blessing has been passed down, even with people seemingly forgetting about it.
((Also for the submas fans. Imagine Ingo coming to Hisui and finding a group of sneasels and weaviles that he somehow realizes are Lady Sneaslers descendents. Just think of the heartwarming nostalgia and bittersweet happiness that could bring.))

Oh, yeah, the Wardens! Okay, I got this! There were ten in total, five from the two clans, Diamond and Pearl. When my sisters and I were there, the Diamond Clan had Mai, who was for Lord Wyrdeer, Arezu, who was Lady Lilligant's Warden, Iscan for Lord Basculeigon, Melli for Lord Electrode, and Sabi for Lord Braviary. The Pearl Clan, and this is the fun part, had Lian for Lord Kleavor, Calaba for Lord Ursaluna, Palina for Lord Arcanine (who I personally got to witness evolve. That was SOMETHING), Gaeric for Lord Avalugg, and, my personal favorite, Warden Ingo for Lady Sneasler!
You may notice a coincidence there, that Ingo happens to also be the name of one of the two Subway Bosses of Nimbasa City. Trust me, that is no coincidence, they are the same person. He had ALSO got chucked through time and space, and the Pearl Clan took him in and he became Lady Sneasler's Warden.
Now, why is he my favorite of them all, you may ask?
Because, in my world, at least, he officially adopted my sisters and I when we all returned to our proper time (aka after I fistfought Arceus and won)! He'd already emotionally adopted us pretty early on, because he understood our situation. Y'know, thrown through time, separated from the people you hold dear, your memories torn to shreds, yadda-yadda. Now, I'm proud to call him Train Dad, and Emmet is my Train Uncle.
I can confirm, this is what happened. She glossed over a lot of the details, but that is the gist of it, yeah. The fact she can say this all so casually...
Oh, hush, this was the one part about being in Hisui I actually enjoyed.
So wait, the ingo from then is the ingo from now? w-wait...did...did i.
...
my...my head hurts alot

Danse Macabre
Pandoria did not expect to come to this place due to the smell of potato mochi. Initially, she had heard that someone was injured outside of the Noble’s domain and was chased out of the area, but no signs of them were found aside from faint scent-trails only a Pokémon could be able to track down. Luckily, she had gained a new ally in the form of Lord Ursaluna whose heart was opened to the sound of the sacred Celestica Flute. Originally, she thought that Ursaluna was the one on the rampage, but she was proven wrong upon first glancing upon it. It lacked the distinct golden, radiant aura gleaming from its body. Its sudden frenzy was in fact caused by the Noble that in turn needed to be stopped.
And if that wasnt resolved, then there would have been further conflict between the two Clans of the region considering the Noble was responsible for Ursaluna’s plight. Yet somehow, they overcame their differences only this once, because it was a matter that concerned both Diamond and Pearl Clans.
The “arena” where Pandoria was to face the Lady of the Ridge was outside of the Diamond Clan settlement. Two members of the clan that resided there, its leader and Arezu, were stationed alongside mistress Calaba in order to supervise Pandoria’s battle against the Noble.
“Be careful. Though she may not look like it, Lady Lilligant can be a fearsome opponent. She is always on the move, swift on her feet like a dancer.” The hairstylist had warned her before stepping foot into the Lady’s domain. Pandoria slowly walked towards the marshy clearing away from the others, taking a deep breath and bracing herself for what was to come.
What she didn’t expect was a sudden whirlwind coalescing in front of her, whipping up everything around it into the air before fading away into an all too familiar glow. What stood before her was a Noble. One more dignified and elegant compared to the rugged and ruthless Lord of the Wood. The humanoid Pokémon performed a small pirouette in front of Pandoria before landing in front of her, her eyes gazing directly into her own with a serene fury.
It was time for her to fight.
She began to throw the specifically made balms at the graceful creature, but it seemed to allude her as every step it took, it dodged her attempts at trying to stop it in her tracks. It was using a strategy that was quite the opposite of the brutish Lord of the Woods that took every opportunity it could to strike. Not every one if her throws landed, and this would prove to be a problem. The Lady of the Ridge then began to stand on her pointed foot and spun around, causing yet another whirlwind to jet up around her.
She was using her speed to her advantage. Pandoria was knocked back slightly by the sudden gale, but swiftly recovered. She continued to throw balms with intent and concentration, hoping not to repeat the same mistakes that had almost gotten her killed on her first mission.
Lady Lilligant reared up for another attack before she was struck with a well-timed balm to the face and was caught off guard. Now was the time to strike.
“Themis! Use Aerial Ace!” Pandoria ordered as she called out her Staravia, who in turn let out a quiet screech before dive-bombing the Noble with its full body; it used its beak like a harpoon before flying back to Pandoria’s side.
The Noble faltered once again and fell to the ground dazed. This seemingly risky gambit was in her favor due to her being weak to flying types. But little did Pandoria know that it was even more so due to this newfound form of Lilligant’s affinity for combat.
She would not let this opportunity pass her, and so she continued to fling the balms at the Noble before it had the chance to strike back at her. The Liligant gazed intently at Pandoria before standing up once more and trying to lunge right at her much like the other Noble had done in her previous bout. Instinctively, she stepped to the side and dodged it before the Liligant began to jump into the air with yet another pirouette and came crashing down with a strong kick aimed for her chest. Pandoria once again fumbled, but still continued to throw balms at the Liligant, refusing to back down.
The dance of death between them both came to a sudden an abrupt end when day turned to night and the sunset that loomed over them both faded. With the finak satchel of offerings thrown, the same brilliant light that burst from upon Lord Kleavor’s defeat blinded her temporarily as she became a beacon in the newfound darkness.
The radiance, once again, swiftly faded, and the Pokémon that stood before her was more befuddled than anything. The Lady of the Ridge gazed at Pandoria softly before curtsying and handing her an ancient slab of green stone: another Plate of the Creator.
She had quelled her second frenzied Noble, and somehow, miraculously, it was easier than the first.
Pandoria had to remember that her trial would only continue to get more difficult the more she forged ahead on this journey.

I now want to see "Bloodmoon"-esque variants of the other Ride/Noble Pokémon. (I'm very partial to the idea that Bloodmoon Ursaluna is actually Ride Ursaluna in particular-so you could do all sorts of fun things with that concept.)
[ For example: "Old Conductor Sneasler", a Sneasler who has survived the ravages of time and dwells in the depths if Mount Coronet. Her claws have developed a metallic quality-to the point that her signature move "End of Line" deals both Steel and Poison damage, and she has a variant of the Steelworker ability. Old Conductor Sneasler is said to be searching for a dear friend-commonly believed to be her dear Warden, who vanished ever so long ago. ]
Among Pokémon there is a vast difference in lifespan, generally corresponding to type and physical composition. Prime Steel types can persist until their mechanisms rust or turn brittle, which of course can be forestalled a long ways by regular maintenance; Prime Ghosts seem able to persist indefinitely, or at least, until they run out of some undefinable will and dissipate.
This is all background to add context to the statement that very few Pokémon truly live forever.
But something... happened. Or, must have happened, though nobody's entirely clear what, or when, exactly. During the second Rift Crisis, the second coming of the Almighty, when the region was once more suffused with divine power—the Pokémon that bore its blessing, the Nobles, they simply... stopped. Stopped aging, stopped dying. The ten that had been present then, persisting indefinitely. Succession over time is the norm, leaving the humans of the region at a loss for how to react.
But while their lifespans paused, they, time did not. Ursaluna wandered slowly, already ancient when it was frozen, slowly changing into something not quite like what it had been before. Basculegion has not been seen in an age, but its kind can grow indefinitely throughout their lifespan, so perhaps it has something to do with the tales of leviathans off Sinnoh's western coast. Kleavor guards and cultivates its forest, same as always, and Lilligant its vast mire-garden, beloved by the people of the region. Braviary soars ever higher, its watchful eye over the entire region from above. Electrode is said to have buried itself and put down roots, as only the most ancient of its kind ever did.
The Lady Sneasler of that age was known as something of a problem child, in her past. Raised without a Warden by a Lord with old wounds in his heart, when it came time for her to take up the mantle, she did not exactly settle easily into the role. Even in adulthood, she was known to be flighty and haughty, with ears only for those vanishingly few humans who earned her respect.
So perhaps it is surprising, then, what she became. But now she guards Mount Coronet, and the structures therein, with a religious dedication. Unfailing and watchful, the ghost-guardian of travelers and the devoted, final caretaker of the most sacred place in the region. It is the last task she was ever given from the first person to earn her respect. So she will persist for as long as there is a mountain to guard—no matter what desires of her own may remain hidden in her heart.
She learned that, after all, from the best.

Following on from my Bloodborne / Blood Moon Ursaluna observation, allow me to introduce you to Marveux:

Marveux started as a random character I created for Bloodborne, my first Souls-type game. I have now started to recreate him in similar games, and have developed a little timeline for him as a result over the last couple of years. The new Ursaluna being so similar to Marveux was hilarious to me, hence the observation, and I have now decided to canonically add "bear form" to Marveux's adventures. It even has the "corrupted eye" on the right side!
Presenting: A Brief History of Marveux:
Bloodborne: Marveux Debuts.

A simple man, Marveux had no idea what was in store for him. He somehow managed to resist the poison spreading through Yarnham, instead channelling it all into his left eye, which allowed him to see things he really shouldn't have been able to.

Following quite possibly the most traumatic experience ever, Marveux bests the Moon Presence and... Becomes a slug. Assuming he becomes the "new" Moon Presence, Marveux eventually tires of his eldritch existence and tried to regain his humanity.
Enter Blood Moon Ursaluna!
The Moon Presence appears in front of a crimson moon and this new bear has a crimson moon on his head. Coincidence? probably I think not!

Marveux tried his best, but *insert unspecified amount of time* of ingesting Beast Blood and being a literal Great One meant it was a little difficult for him to regain his human form too easily. Instead he ended up as a bear man / beast hybrid and fell from the skies, ending up on the shores of Kitakami. He manages to walk on two legs, and has even fashioned himself a cloak of sorts. He even got his original eye colour down! But it's just not good enough, and that poisoned red eye of his is now completely black.

"What cruel existence is this?"
Elden Ring:
Finally, after escaping from the small child that imprisoned him, Marveux retreated to an unspecified location to slowly regain some of his humanity. By the time he is summoned by the Forces That Be to become the Elden Lord, he passes as human again, but barely. He starts off with nothing to his name except a loin cloth salvaged from some of his old fur, and a crudely made club. He's got both eyes back, but it seems he can't quite shake the corruption from the left one.

Marveux has seen some things...

Slowly, Marveux regains his strength, salvaging what he can from his kills. Eventually, after yet another horrifying adventure, Marveux weds Ranni and becomes a Lord. Things, while insane, are good for a while.
(Marveux started as a wretch in this game, with the idea being that he was somehow reincarnated by a higher power, but this also works with the new Pokemon timeline, since he's only just become human again and wouldn't have any armour or weapons etc.)
Demons Souls:
An unspecified amount of time later, Marveux, now a Royal Lord is investigating something for his Queen, Ranni. Through unspecified means (because my boy is extremely unlucky), he slips through a fog gate and finds himself in the world of Boletaria. Unable to find his way back, but fortunately still in possession of some of his powers for once, he sets off on a journey to return home (wherever that is) and reunite with his four-armed love.
His eyes are finally starting to regain their colour, although both eyes are now a strange mix of red and green. There was a time when he tried to claw his red eye from his skull, but all he ended up with was some gnarly scars.

Alright, so he meets another girl on his journey, but it doesn't mean anything, promise!
I've only just started Demon's Souls so I'm not sure how it ends for him yet, but time will tell.
And that's the (current) Tale of Marveux!
When and if I play any more games like this, I'll have to see if I can fit them into the timeline somewhere!
Thanks for reading!
(Why the name Marveux? No idea, just thought it sounded fancy)

Figured I should post the (temporary) refs and bios of Team Basmati today, because the pic I'm gonna finish today is the first of my Violet team hehehe :3c
Rice Pilaf - Hisuian Decidueye - Bashful
An Alolan immigrant to present-day Sinnoh, this young man accidentally got caught up in a Situation and was subsequently flung back centuries into the region’s past. He was more than a little shaken up when he was found by someone, his memories hazy aside from the vague rhythm of his name, which led to his rather odd nickname that persisted long after his head cleared. Regardless of the strangeness of his current circumstances, or whether he is called Reese or Rice Pilaf, he has proven himself a great asset to the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps and a skilled fighter in general.
Rice Pilaf is, understandably, fairly disoriented when it comes to a lot of things in Hisui due to the culture shock that comes with being a fish out of temporal water. He’s missing a lot of the conveniences of the present day, and while he likes the fresher food of the Wallflower he can’t help but crave a burger or pizza sometimes. He’s too polite to bring it up unprompted, of course, not to mention he doesn’t know what would happen if he spilled too many beans about future stuff. At least he’s still got his phone for some bit of familiar technology, even if it’s been slightly altered by the mysterious entity that seems to have brought him to Hisui in the first place.
Electra - Luxray - Hardy
A member of Galaxy Team’s Security Corps who was assigned to Rice Pilaf’s initiation trial to keep him and Rei safe, Electra soon decided to become the first member of the newest member’s specific survey team to help him get to grips with any possible battles he would have to face. She may not be the most personable of the Security Corps—that honor would likely go to Zisu—but she gets the job done and is dedicated to keeping those who lack battling skill safe no matter what.
Despite her fairly intimidating nature, Electra has a few soft spots, particularly when it comes to children. While she doesn’t seem keen on having any of her own, she treats the children of Jubilife Village with caring and kindness that most of her peers have to earn after months of getting to know her. Even when they are misbehaving she will never treat children with the same harshness as her peers, knowing that they need the time to learn properly and that merely yelling at them is no way to teach them, and anyone who does mistreat children in her presence will surely regret it.
River - Floatzel - Gentle
One of the Ginkgo Guild’s many merchants, River is usually focused on garnering supply of goods that the rest of the Guild can then sell to eager customers. She’s not really that good at the whole “selling” part of being a member of a merchant’s guild, often being too willing to sell for a lower price than an item is worth (and buying supply for a bit higher than it’s worth as well, but she’s at least gotten better at that one). Still, as the Ginkgo Guild has been like a second family to her, she tries her best to help with the business however she can.
River has some suspicions with regards to Volo, as she’s been working with the Ginkgo Guild for quite a long time and has only recently been running into the guy. It’s probably nothing, she has to keep telling herself, he could just be a recent hire that she hasn’t had the time to get to know. Still, that combined with his tendency to seemingly know more about something than he reasonably should has her “sketchy guy” instincts pinging.
Ursula - Ursaluna - Mild
A member of the Diamond Clan who has no problem peacefully intermingling with Pearl Clan members, possibly due to a bit of solidarity with the Pearl Lord Kimun. Ursula is kind, caring, and motherly to even those around her age range. She wants everyone she cares about to be safe and comfortable, and is more than willing to go out of her way to help in that regard. Sometimes to a fault, as she may overburden herself with her attempts at making sure her loved ones’ burdens are eased.
Like most Ursaluna, Ursula is incredibly sensitive to smells and can detect certain scents from further away than others. Unfortunately, she is a bit overly reactive to many of these smells, particularly the noxious ones. She can’t stand to be anywhere near anyone wearing particularly potent colognes and perfumes, or holding and cooking any particularly pungent foods, or else she might come close to losing her lunch.
Amaterasu - Hisuian Arcanine - Hardy
The niece of Cobalt Coastlands’ former lord, Amaterasu has taken her role as “noble-adjacent” to heart and tries her best to live up to that ideal even without the title. She does everything she can to help those around her, even those from the Diamond Clan should the need arise. It’s honestly not surprising why some may initially assume she is the Cobalt Coastlands’ current noble given these tendencies, but this not in fact being the case thankfully leads to her having more freedom to go where she pleases instead of having to keep watch over one specific region of Hisui all the time.
Shortly after her uncle met his end when rescuing his son from the Cobalt Coastlands’ rough seas, Amaterasu briefly tried to substitute to be the next Lord of the Isles in place of her under-confident cousin. The powers that be, however, refused to allow this even temporarily, as the title was to always go to the direct descendant of the previous lord. Her attempt to relieve her cousin from duties he was not prepared for and give him more than enough time to grieve having failed, she saw fit to try and bolster his confidence in order to help him become the best lord he could be. It’s the least she can do after all of that.
Smoosh - Hisuian Goodra - Serious
The older sister of Warden Lian, Smoosh has a fairly similar demeanor without the same sense of duty. She’s fairly no-nonsense at most times, though at the same time her deadpan tone makes it hard to tell when she might be making the rare joke. Despite her general seriousness, she can be very affectionate with her friends and especially her younger brother, often leaning into and pressing against someone she cares about in her best attempt at a hug. She calls this maneuver a “smoosh”, which led to her being affectionately called as such.
Smoosh lost both her arms due to an accident as a child, specifically with the Obsidian Fieldlands’ Lord Katsu seeing no choice but to sever them in order to safely free the rest of her much less damaged body from a rockslide, and while it has presented quite the obvious challenge in her life she nonetheless has managed to adapt quite well to the circumstances. It’s not something that the rest of the Pearl Clan brings attention to aside from casually asking if she needs help with something from time to time, but her visits to Jubilife Village have attracted the attention of concerned (or ogling) villagers. Her first experience at the Wallflower wasn’t too pleasant, given her obvious need to have bare feet at the table.

Donut Hole - Chapter 17
Who Is She?
Oh, who is she? (Oh, who is she?)
A misty memory (A misty memory)
A haunting face (A haunting face)
Is she a lost embrace?
- Who Is She?, I Monster
[Very little Barry in this chapter, but things are very much happening…….]
[ao3 link]
The first words out of Adaman’s mouth upon seeing Barry plummet off a cliff face with his nightmare bird was ‘Melli, I am going to strangle you’.
But much to everyone’s surprise - either by a miracle of science, or a joke by Almighty Sinnoh themselves - Barry did not land on the rocks with a horrifying and disgusting splat.
He flew.
On the back of that horrible Honchkrow, no less.
And when Ingo’s Gliscor, Mai’s Crobat, and eventually Lord Braviary returned empty handed, it was obvious that Barry had done more than flown; he had escaped.
“That boy is slippier than an Eelektrik.” Ingo muttered.
Mai turned to him. “...what is an Eelektrik?”
And Ingo did not answer. He stared at her, then slowly turned to stare at the horizon without a word.
This terribly awkward moment was - thankfully - interrupted by Lord Braviary’s squawks and chirps. Sabi stroked his fur, nodding as he did so. “Uh huh. OK. OK. I’ll tell them- well not that part - Lord Braviary said he’s going to Jubilife!”
“D-Did he actually tell you that?” Iscan asked, and she only gave a playful smirk in reply.
Adaman tried to think of a plan B. He tried glancing at Irida to see what she was thinking, but he could tell that she too, was trying to think of what to do now.
They couldn’t not go after him. This kid was an absolute headache, but what if he fell off the bird? Lord Braviary and his entire lineage had been trained specifically to carry people…
“We…should at least follow him-”
“If he’s going to Jubilife, someone should try to get there before he can. To warn them.” Palina said, and with a swift motion, still making direct eye contact with Adaman, shoved Gaeric off the back of Arcanine. “I’ll take Iscan with me.”
She didn’t wait for either Leader to give her the OK before Iscan was placed onto the back of Lord Arcanine. The three of them were gone in a matter of moments, only leaving paw prints and a dust cloud behind.
Gaeric stood and dusted himself off. “I can’t believe you just let her do that to me.” He grumbled in Irida’s direction.
“I am not focusing on your petty squabbles.” was all Irida replied with. “I am sure Lord Ursaluna can squeeze you on.”
“But why would he go to Jubilife? From everything we know, he seems to hate the Galaxy Team Stationed there…” said Mai, thoughtfully stroking the fur of Lord Wyrdeer.
Melli rolled his eyes and tossed his hair. “Well he’s caused near insurmountable damage to our settlements, maybe Jubilife is next on his hitlist.”
It was clear from his tone that it was meant to be a joke. But his joke flew about as well as a geodude jumping off a cliff.
There was a pause.
In no time at all, the Diamond and Pearl Clan mounted their pokemon to give chase.
---
Lian grumbled under his breath as his Lord eagerly dove into the pile of beans. Irida had come earlier, insisting - demanding, practically - that he and Lord Kleavor stay within the Heartwood.
She gave several reasons. Ranging from ‘they wanted a warden to stay behind to watch over Jubilife and the surrounding area, along with Warden Arezu’, and ‘The mountains were already getting crowded with the others’, before eventually adding with reluctance, that ‘Lord Kleavor of the Heartwood may be a bit too slow for chasing’.
“Too slow…bah! My Lord, you are the fastest thing in this entire forest!” Lian said, chest puffed with pride.
(He couldn’t exactly say ‘the entire fieldlands’ without insulting lord Wyrdeer, but the forest was just as good.)
Lord Kleavor, to his credit, didn’t seem to mind much. He barely seemed to notice Lian’s ire, happily crunching on beans and bits of salt.
And oh, how badly Lian wanted to help. This…Berry fellow seemed like nothing but bad news. A wicked man who washed away the Diamond settlement in a mudslide, who set his home settlement ablaze, with a team of vicious, blood-thirsty pokemon under his command?
Lian huffed again, sitting down beside his noble. They were going to catch this guy and be the heroes, and Melli would absolutely rub it in his face, and maybe Sabi too-
There was a distant squawk, a flurry of flapping wings, and something heavy crashed into a tree nearby. The impact caused branches to break and tumble to the ground, before whatever fell into the tree fell out.
“What in the-!?” Both Lian and Kleavor snapped to attention, the boy quickly standing to assess the situation.
Before either of them could get close, an enormous honchkrow descended from the sky, placing itself between them and whatever was currently laying on the ground alongside a tangle of branches. It squawked and croaked incessantly, as if trying to scare them off. Did it accidentally drop its prey? Why wasn’t it just picking it back up?
“H-Hey! How dare you take that tone with Lord Kleavor!” Lian shouted at the bird.
The honchkrow turned and screeched loud enough for Lian to stumble back, nearly tripping over the tree roots surrounding them. His hat fluttered to the ground, but he dare not tear his eyes away from the dangerous pokemon in front of him.
The Noble title that the Lords and Ladys possessed was not only upheld by the clans, but by the pokemon they shared space with. It was generally understood that Noble pokemon were very powerful, and they shouldn’t be trifled with.
The audacity of this honchkrow was both out of the norm and offensive.
Lord Kleavor bellowed in reply, but the large bird refused to back down. And behind the bird, whatever fell began to stir.
A hand reached up to stroke the honchkrow’s feathers. “I-I just closed my eyes for a bit, bud…I must’ve drifted off. How did I end up on the ground?” the figure rasped, struggling to stand.
It was a teenager, barely a few years older than Lian, with blonde hair. But he looked terrible; even worse than when they found Ingo, something that Lian hadn’t thought possible.
The teenager approached him, a strange, eerie sort of pity in his eyes. “Oh…you're just a little kid…"
Despite himself, Lian couldn’t help but scoot away. “W-What do you want?”
“Where’s Jubilife?”
“Huh?”
Behind him, Lord Kleavor let out a low rumble in warning. The teenager stopped walking, slowly tilting his head. He opened his mouth to say something, but decided otherwise. “Where is Jubilife? I don't wanna hurt you."
Did he mean Jubilife village?
Lian pointed behind the teenager and off into the distance. “I-It’s past deetrack heights! Cross the river, t-then cross it again!”
“Thanks. You’re alright.” He turned to leave, but paused, giving Lian another pitiful look.
“...man. You look like you would’ve loved Minecraft.” he said, voice wistful. “I can’t believe Cyrus would deprive the world of something so pure…”
What?
But he didn’t explain any part of that baffling statement. He turned, hand on the large Honchkrow’s back, the teenager starting to limp in the vague direction that Lian had told him.
Lian sat there for a moment, still processing that strange encounter. But surprise - and the tiny bits of fear - gave way to defensive irritation. “Did you hear him, Lord Kleavor?! The nerve!”
Lord Kleavor chittered, trying to nudge the boy back into a standing position.
Several dots began to connect in Lian’s head. A strange man he’s never met before, who clearly looked out of place, with a powerful pokemon by his side-
“Wait - WAIT, WAS THAT HIM?!” He shouted, scrambling to grab onto Lord Kleavor’s neck. “We have to chase after him! My Lord, please, allow me to ride upon your back!”
Kleavor lowered his great head to allow the boy to clamber onto his back. While a bit awkward, Lian could wrap his arms around Lord Kleavor’s head and brace his legs on the rocky white formations where wings once grew; a kind of tepiggy back ride, although Lian would shudder to call it something so childish.
Lord Kleavor glanced back to make sure his Warden was situated before standing and entering a ready position. “Right! Let’s chase after him!”
---
The guards positioned at Jubilife’s gates barely had time to get out of the way before Lord Arcanine bowled through the doors like tissue paper.
The townsfolk screamed and fled, parents pulling children inside, others cowering in corners and behind buildings. The only one who didn’t flee was Arezu, who approached lord Arcanine and his riders with hesitance.
“I take it that the plan in the mountains didn’t work.” she said with a frown.
Iscan answered with a, “Well…no.”
“We need Dawn.” said Palina.
And lucky for them, Dawn was rushing out of the wallflower to see what the commotion was.
“Wow! I didn’t know you could ride on Lord Arcanine’s back!” she said as she approached.
“Only in emergencies.” Palina replied as she dismounted.
Her words sunk in quickly, and the young girl frowned. “Emergencies? What’s going on? I was on my way to help with Lord Electrode, if Melli is done stalling on making the balms-"
“There’s a…” Palina hesitated, glancing back at Iscan and Arezu. “...Situation that we’ve been trying to deal with, without getting Jubilife - and by extension you - involved.”
“But it didn’t work.” continued Iscan. “A-And we’d like to uh…’borrow’ you? For a minute?”
Rei finally caught up, glancing between Dawn and the wardens. “What’s going on? What’s wrong?”
Dawn glanced at him before returning to look at the Wardens and Lord Arcanine. “Uhm, I think the clans need our help-?”
Palina ‘erred’ and ‘ummed’, clearly wanting to say something but not wanting to be rude. “We…we really only need Dawn for this-”
And now the professor was jogging over to meet them, panting, hands on his knees. “T-The survey corps! At your service!” he said between huffs and puffs, “What…what is ever the matter? Is it a dangerous poke…pokemon?”
“N-No, no professor, we just need Dawn-”
“So it’s not a pokemon problem?” asked Rei.
“Well.” Iscan started to say. “I-It kinda is? But also not?”
Laventon crossed his arms over his chest. “If it’s not a problem with pokemon, then I am afraid we aren’t much help. Perhaps the security corps would be of better aid?”
“No, no, this is definitely a job for Dawn.” Palina replied, voice edging on frantic. “And time is of the essence, we really should be going, we can explain along the way-”
“CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON?!”
Everyone was surprised by Dawn’s explosive outburst, but the Wardens had been dancing around the issue long enough.
Palina sighed, kneeling down slightly to be on her level. “There’s…there’s a boy your age. A little taller than you. He has blonde, spiked hair, and a green scarf. He’s been all over Hisui, causing all sorts of trouble-”
“- and property damage.” Iscan quickly added.
“- and property damage, yes. But. But. He’s looking for someone, Dawn. And I think he’s looking for you.”
“He bit me.” Arezu said, glancing between them all.
“Bit you?! Property damage?! You want our Dawn to charge into battle to deal with this madman who’s looking for her?!” Barked Laventon. “I will not allow it!”
Palina stood. “It’s not some ‘madman’, it’s a boy her age that clearly knows her! This situation is admittedly strange and confusing, but the clans have done everything to try and help him with no success. And now, we’ve had to involve Dawn.”
Laventon turned to talk to Dawn directly. “My dear girl, you don’t have to-” But she was not there.
He and Rei glanced around. The Wardens looked around too.
Dawn had vanished.
Rei pointed to the front gates. “She just ran off! I saw a bit of her scarf before she crested the hill!”
Palina mounted on the back of Lord Arcanine once more. Iscan turned to Arezu. “Are you coming with?”
Arezu looked at the pair of them riding on the back of Lord Arcanine up and down. “...hmmmmmmm, pass. But do come back and tell me how it goes! I love a good story.”
Laventon was still deeply unsettled by this entire exchange. “I’ll warn you now, Kamado will not be happy with the clans keeping such a secret. If you had told us sooner, we could have helped.”
“Like I said, this whole thing is…strange. And it spiraled so fast.” said Palina. “When all is said and done, I truly believe this web will untangle, but we need to get there first. Let’s go after Dawn.”
Lord Arcanine barked, turning and running back the way he came, hot on Dawn’s heels.
“D-Do they expect me to run?” Laventon asked, giving Rei a pleading look.
Rei shrugged, but started to run after them. “I think so, professor! C’mon!”
“My boy, I am not that fast! Wait for me!”

Drew some pokemon trainers.
So I changed Otis' team around a bunch so now her ace is an alpha ursaluna named Moon. Moon in game is bigger than Lord Ursaluna as it turns out.
And I imagine that after Naranja Academy, Mindy becomes a professor, focusing on pokezoology or whatever it may be called in the pokemon world. She mostly spends her time cleaning up after Sada, studing the Paradox pokemon. I thought it'd be funny if she had a biker style and now her helmet's inspired by how Koraidon looks so she's an absolute nerd no questions about it.
#and I looked and ursalunas eyes are green#which I thought was cute because Otis' eyes are also green#guess ill need to draw lucy cuz she's the only one i havent drawn recently#demon whispers about nonsense#demon's drawings#pokemon#mindy sundew#mindy no surname#survey corps. otis#pokemon ursaluna
