MY ROTTMNT OC REFERENCE!!! YAPIIII :D

so! Meet the! *drum roll* ELIN! My new rottmnt OC! (The full name is Elin Cruman.)

I'm gonna write abt her some things soooo... yeah hehe :3

Her lore: As a child, Elin had no friends because everyone considered her strange and bad because of her violent nature and anger control problems. Elin had a very strong Thirst for adventure. She loved to go outside and climb some abandoned buildings or stay in the woods for a little while, for a little while because she didn't want to bother her family with her missing lol.

A few years later, when she had already grown up, she decided that when she reached a certain age, she would move to New York and study at the university there. The day after her eighteenth birthday, her father decided to tell her about his original plans for Elin. It turns out that he and his mother wanted to move, but they couldn't choose between New York and some other city, but after learning that their eldest daughter would move to New York to study at a good university, they still decided where they would move to, and decided to surprise their eldest daughter.

When her father told Elin everything on the day of the move, she, well.. was in complete shock and was not happy and glad, because she did not want to be under the control of her parents again, but they reassured her on the way during the move that they would not monitor and take care of her since she was already an adult and could take care of herself By myself.

As soon as they got there, they examined the new house. It turned out to be quite great and big for five people and for a big dog. And finally Elin started going to her new college, where unfortunately only a small part of the people are afraid of her again because of her violent nature, but since it was only a small part of the people, everything was good enough for Elin. She also meets April O'Neill and Sunita there, and after a week of hanging out together, they become friends.

A few months later, it turned out that Sunita is Yokai. And when a year passed, Elin was introduced to the turtles and at the first meeting she really liked Raph (in friend way ofc). The big turtle was a lot of fun to tease and prank along with Leo or Mikey. They spend time together very often and Raph slowly begins to feel sympathy for Elin. What would they do in such a situation? We'll find out later hehe! ;3

Personality: Because of anger issues, she can get angry pretty quickly, but she still tries to control it, even though she doesn't always succeed. She is very boisterous and cocky, likes to tease or make fun of anyone (most often it's Leo, Raph and Donnie). As I said before, she loves adventures very much, so she constantly asks to go on missions with the turtles, but most often she is refused, namely, Raph refuses because he does not want her to hurt herself, but even so, Elin still sometimes secretly followed them on missions and they drove her back home or else somewhere, but not for them on a mission.

I once shared a sketch of these two a few months back, and I feel like I found a design and color palette that I'm happy with!

Here are King Mamoon and Queen Amaranta in their full glory hehe~

I'm actually still not quite sure about Mamoon's hat but, eh, he's most likely gonna lose it during the story anyway. Yeah, they will both have multiple outfits just like the main protags, but I'll have to design them too. Amaranta is a fashionale one, so she, in particular, will have a lot of outfit changes (nothing like making the most of the granted wishes of your people to its full "potential" nyehehe they say).

One thing that I can describe them is "co-dependent loving ship that is bound to crash and burn". They are very loving and intimate to each other, especially on public where they present themselves as the wise and benevolent rules of the kingdom, but behind the stage, there will be times where they fight and bicker because of certain things. Sometimes, (unfortunate) apprentices reported that one day they'll hear one of their fights from inside the wish chamber then later will accidently find them get really close and loving to each other.

They claim that they protect and grant the wishes of their people. And they do. But they also eat/absorb wishes they claim as "useless" wishes, aka wishes that do not benefit them in anyway. Mamoon does the "eating" the most, as he needs the power behind the wishes to charge his own powers. Amaranta uses them stay young (and other things too, but that's a secret).

They also have a sun-and-moon dynamic, where Mamoon is the "moon" that hides behind the shadow to support Amaranta who is the "sun" that glows brightly on the stage. When scheming, Mamoon, with his knowledge and abilities on magic, is the brawl while Amaranta, with her wit and charisma, is the brains.

I think that's all what I can share about them now cuz a lot of the info I have in mind are spoilers so...

Quick update for the big G’s design. Wanted to incorporate a little more of the symbolism often associated with the Christian god in him, since that’s mostly the version of god he’s based on.

Still need to figure out a design for Satan/Lucifer that I like, though. It’s hard to incorporate what sin is rather than what God is.

I have seen quite a few Poppy Playtime AUs around, but my most favourite has got to be the 'Playtime High' AU, created by the genius NapkintaDoodles on dA, where The Smiling Critters are all grown-up and are in high school!🤭 The Nightmare Critters are there too, which is a bonus (I have gotten into them too recently :3) and inspired by this AU and a wonderful commission I got a few weeks ago from the artist herself, I just had to draw my own Smiling Critter, DeerDelight in that style!✨😁 God, I had so much fun with this and I am thrilled with how Dee turned out~🥰Yep, in the AU, DeerDelight goes by the nickname 'Dee' or 'D. Delight' (all thanks to the exciting RP me and my sis, @x-elyssa-x are having😊)

So in this AU, DeerDelight is a new student at Playtime High. Her backstory is sadly a tragic one, for she lost her parents in a fateful car crash at quite a young age. Fortunately, her family were close friends with the school teacher, Miss. Delight and after their passing and funeral, the teacher was more than kind enough to take DeerDelight in and raise her like her own, becoming her legal guardian. Whilst healing over the years yet keeping the memory of her parents close to her, DeerDelight took special lessons in education until the coming of age, when she was fully ready to start high school. With her lovely grace, caring personality and deep passion for the performing arts, DeerDelight made a grand impact on the others whilst unexpectedly attracting the attention of one of The Nightmare Critters - Icky Licky! Despite the elegant doe having a soft spot for DogDay, Icky is determined to impress her and make her his girl... Hope you all like, my dears~✨😚👍🏻I am SUPER pleased of how DeerDelight turned out here, like I said!💖🤩Do enjoy~🫶🏻😉💕xoxo.

Cute fish-man enforcer: a comprehensive artist's reference collection

I've heard people simp for him already, so I gathered screenshots. Also, to note : his ears flick, and he has third eyelids like a Na'vi Metkayina.

I caught the third eyelid in 2 different shots.

Anyway, make great art of the fish twink. He's also the first one to rush to the captive Zaunite's help, and reacts after Vi to Cait's bloodlust. He saved Mel during the attack on her speech, and rescued his enforcer buddy. He has zero lines but it's pretty obvious he has a good heart despite a snooty resting face.

Finally finished this god damn thing!

Mostly did this for my friend who is starting s1 but it took me a stupid amount of time (mostly because of Tim)(still not happy with that mtf design)

Took a bit of time to myself to finally sketch out my vision for Frida based off Andy Suriano’s Farewell. More design thoughts under the cut.

I know some were wary of her appearing too feminine, but honestly I enjoyed the challenge of finding a way to feminize the base turtle model and stay true to Andy’s wonderful design. I don’t want her to just look like her brothers in a show that embraces their differences.

The biggest thing I added to her design was an exposed heart. My own little twist inspired by a real life issue some turtles deal with as well as a fitting ode to the artist she is named after, Frida Kahlo, who often drew herself with her heart floating outside of her body. (And yes I made the creative decision to keep her heart at her center as with many turtles.)

This deformity occurred during her mutation where the sudden growth spurt tore open a hole at the seam of her plastron. She has survived as long as she has because of Big Mama who uses mystic wards to keep her heart physically safe and emotionally numb. If you look closely to her plastron in the show it’s not actually a natural body part but rather seems to be an attachment of her trench coat. Likely a false cover to hide her obvious weak spot (or at least that is my head canon!)

I love the idea of her and Donnie having something they can relate to and I’m sure he’ll be happy to design chest armor for her down the line once she’s free of Big Mama. Maybe someday I’ll figure out her full Mad Dogs outfit, but for now this is just her base and bandana.

As each of the boys embodies a shape, I found it all too fitting to have Frida’s be a heart. It’s honestly a cool shape that uses both rounded forms and sharp points, which I think would encapsulate her character well. Prickly on the surface but a softy deep down. I tried to find less typical ways of feminizing her. Sharpening her beak and digits while retaining the style of feminine eyes present in most of the female cast but matching it more closely to the unsettling shape of the eyes on her assistant’s mask.

Her markings are a color flip of Mikey’s, where as his are yellow spots with orange outlines hers are orange with yellow outlines. Coupled with her yellow eyes to match Donnie and Raph, it gives her this fiery vibe that I think still sets her far apart from Mikey.

The mask was honestly the hardest part. I love that it further accentuates her heart motif and made her more expressive, but just giving her the obvious bow and calling it a day did not sit well with me. I decided to try more of a high ponytail look, but I think it still needs some work. I’m pretty sure I like her with yellow though, both as a nod to Jennika and the idea of April giving her something of her own to help form the bond between the two.

Would love to flesh her out further but back to my usual stuff first.
