I doubt this will happen but I think it would be super cool & exciting if for the season finale Gabriel finds a way to akumatize Marinette (similar to Chat Blanc) and actually succeeds. Marinette realizes she’s not strong enough to fight the pain she’s feeling so she takes her earrings out and has Tikki take them to Cat Noir because she trusts that he’ll handle it.

maybe Marinette would find a way to break through Monarch’s control and find a way to save the Kwami’s while still being akumatized? She might find out who Monarch really is? Idk I just think it would be a cool idea.

So I just saw another Tumblr poster point this out, Alya and Nino should have been benched with Chloe due to ladybug having them break the rule introduced in kwami buster: "if you find out your Partner identity you get kicked off the team"

This is why I think the identity rule is a load of crap at this point, because even though Ladybug had a good reason to bench Chloe, she breaks the same rule with literally everyone else despite the risk being shown in some episodes (Optigami, Sentibubbler).

Spot the difference

When Zoe and Alya become replacement heroes, Marinette could have told the kwamis to pass on the message to avoid wearing the rings! Except she was kinda depressed and their decision had been a shock to her.

However as she went to visit Alya to congratulate her, she also had a list of things to beware and avoid, among which was the alliance ring.

Alya dismisses Marinette’s concern, reluctant to give up the latest technical fad and unable to think of an explanation for even doing that. Besides, does Marinette know how much these things cost?

After the events of Deflagration, Marinette, Alya, Tikki and Plagg are curious how Monarch discovered their secret identities so quickly.

What is the difference between Marinette and Alya? Could it really be the alliance ring?

Plagg: actually, now that you mention it, Chat Noir doesn’t wear an alliance ring, but Kitty does.

Plagg avoids meeting Adrien, knowing he won’t take kindly to his father being accused again. But he really goes all out in exploring the house. He does more than sneak into Gabriel and Nathalie’s rooms, he searches for hidden lairs and vaults. He finds Monarch’s lair easily enough, and his captured friends!

Plagg reports this to Marinette. Grimly, she starts planning. “Gabriel must be hiding the rings under his gloves.”

Alya: what are you going to do now?

Marinette: I’m going to arrest Monarch in the last place he expects. When do you think Gabriel is making his next public appearance?

Alya: uh…no clue. I’m still surprised he went to the parent teacher conference.

Marinette: we need more heads. Plagg, you can go to Chat and-

Plagg: actually, it might be better if you leave Chat out of this.

Marinette: why?

Plagg: I can’t say.

A pause before they move on.

Alya: what if Adrien has his friends over, is that enough of a public setting for you?

Sure enough, Alya knocks Gabriel unconscious and lets Ladybug in through the window. Adrien is stunned when Ladybug exposes his father as the villain.

As the resistance stands watch over the bound villain, Ladybug summons her lucky charm to find his lair.

She frees the kwamis. Gabriel is arrested but there is still the question of who Mayura is, either Tomoe or Nathalie. Anyway, they are both taken into custody where Nooroo happily outs them.

Adrien then has to move away to Paris after the public backlash and stay with his aunt. Plagg offers the miraculous again but Adrien politely declines, instead promising to help recover the Peacock from his cousin should he show his face again.

I honestly did like the episode Kwami-buster! Mostly because it was an episode that changed things up.

Why did Hawkmoth never akumatize the Science teacher after that?

Honestly I'm genuinely convinced Marinette just wanted an excuse to kick Chloe off the team and was just trying to save face by making it be about her identity.

Like kwami Buster made it clear that she was aware for some time prior to the episode that wearing a different miraculous would conceal her identity

If Marinette had said "while Chloé is making progress and has been good at doing the job of Hero, her past actions make it hard for me to trust her with no hesitation. [MMD TF x MLB] Beetleborg and Dinofelis

Beetleborg and Dinofelis are temporary Ladybug and Black Cat wielders in MPOTP, being chosen by Tikki and Plagg after their original wielders were temporarily unavailable. They are unique in being the first and so far only mechanical-based lifeforms capable of wielding and using a Miraculous of any kind. Why this happened is currently unknown but is theorized that both subject possess a Spark, making them truly living beings capable of going beyond their programming.

Names:

Dinofelis and Beetleborg chose their respective names for different reasons.

Dinofelis chose his name due to mentally searching up names of cats and found an extinct species of sabertooth cat called Dinofelis. Intrigued, the Android took the name for himself.

Beetleborg is named after the show Big Bad Beetleborgs Metallix, though this was because the subject couldn't find any "cool" or intriguing names regarding Ladybug species.

Powers:

Like previous wielders of their respective Miraculous, Beetleborg and Dinofelis possess the powers of creation and destruction, being able to use Lucky Charm and Cataclysm along with enhance durability, strength and speed.

However, the Miraculous also modifies their blueprints being able to Beetleborg fly and Dinofelis with a sonic cry.

Tools/Accessories

Beetleborg comes equipped with a pair of swords that emerge from the gauntlets on her forearms, capable of slicing through materials such as Sixshot's armor (Which was made from collapsed star metals) Her jetpack allows her to fly up to Mach 5, but will hesitate in using it, as prolonged use will damage her internal systems. Her eyes act like most robotic lenses but can see Kwamis due to her Spark being a factor in her design.

Dinofelis has claws that can slice though most metals just like Beetleborg's blades. He possesses the ability to use an X Buster-like cannon on both arms, capable of firing energy projectiles being able to charge up to a point. His staff is made of solid titanium, being able to extend up to 12 stories long. His cat-like senses allow him to be able to notice things that aren't picked up by most people.

IMW Chapter 7

Marinette just stared at the Kwami.

She could have change her suit?

She could have more equipment than just a yoyo?

She didn't have to have worn that skin tight, relieving suit for the last 3 years?

"Tikki..." staring straight into Tikki's eyes "run" Marinette proceeded to chase after Tikki for a good 30 minutes before she was able to catch the Kwami. Jumping over the couch jumping off the walls as Tikki dodge, dived and phased throw the walls and household objects. Finally catching the Kwami in her hand Marinette looked at her dead on with her most serious look she could muster, whilst shaking her. "So you mean to tell me I have been fighting against akuma's with nothing more than a yoyo because you forgot to tell me I could change my suit after Stone heart?" Marinette asked the kwami. "yes" was all the reply she got as the Kwami was to busy trying to stop the world from spinning as Mari stopped shaking her. "Tikki.." Marinette said looking at the kwami once she got her sense back "No chocolate chip cookies for you for the next 2 weeks as punishment for forgetting something so imported. Is there anything else you need to tell me" "Yes Guardian" replied Wayzz from the kitchen where the rest of the kwami's were watching from after they finished cleaning up.

Marinette gestured to the kwami's to move this to the couch so they did. Once everyone was settled, Wayzz began. "As you know Guardian, since you began training with Master Fu and later myself and the others, we have mostly been teaching you magic theory because you had yet to awaken your magic. Which for a Miraculous holder is normal. Even the magical protections here had to be activated by us kwami after you, yourself wrote them. For normal magic users the younger one is more beneficial, it is to awaken early whereas miraculous holders and Guardians tend to awaken when they are older because the strength of their magic is far stronger than they need both strong mind and body. "So, I have magic now? Super cool" Marinette said happy, she had been waiting to finally be able to use magic, so many plans where now possible.

"Yes, now you have many new powers like you can transform with no time or power limit and full access to all the powers that come with the domain of the kwami. And only a full fledged guardian can unlock miraculouses restrictions to that point. And finally when transformed you will be able to communicate with us within your mind meaning we can help you come up with plans and use your powers.

There are also other benefits like being able to meet, train and interact with past holders in your mind but also past guardians, so they can teach you what you can't or don't know."

A new world is waiting at the horizon.

Marinette was in her safe room with the secret compartment where she kept the miracle box. It was like instruction manuals were just appearing in her head, strange but not unwelcome. Finishing reciting the spell in the guardian language and the box was sealed. Now there was only 2 ways to take out a miraculous, through her yoyo or for her to unlock the box. Walking back into her room heading for the bathroom for a quick shower, she had already laid out what she was wearing underneath the transformation. She would be teleporting straight to the president. Most of the government had moved outside of Paris to make sure top secret information stayed out of Hawkmoths hand so the president no longer lived at the Elysee palace, but had moved about 2 towns over out of range from akuma's and Hawkmoth but close enough to help with military intervention if necessary. They had moved most of the government to some of the old forts from the French revolution.

Marinette thought and a way of red overcame her and she was in her new suit, pausing briefly to look at her reflection getting her first close look at her new suit and its weapons. At least now she would be able to use some of the staff techniques Sabine had taught her years ago. "Tikki, Kaalki, unify" and Lady Foal now stood, her suit had added black accents and a leather look. Not bad if she said so herself. "voyage" dropping through the portal, the room exploded Lady Foal merely raised her hands and said, "i'm Ladybug hero of Paris and I have come to meet the president of France to discuss the Shadowmoth situation" Lady Foal looked directly at the president sitting at her desk. "Kaalki dismount" after the light died down Ladybug stood head held high. "stand down" was all the president said gesturing for Ladybug to take the seat in front of the desk "what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" asked the president Taking the offered seat Ladybug sat down looking directly at the leader of her homeland. "I have discovered the identity of Shadowmoth and his allies madam." Gasps were heard from all over the room. The president merely put on an serious face and went for her intercom, "have the prime minister in my office immediately, code: scarlet maiden" after about 15 minutes of which the room sat in silence, the prime minister arrived with a few offers. After everyone was seated in the chairs Ladybug in the one closest to the door so she could see everyone. Marinette recognised merely everyone in the room. Ministers of defence, finance, home security and even the minister of foreign affairs. Everyone she needed for her plans was here. The president pressed a button under her desk and the room went into lockdown metal shutters and everything. "please proceed, Ladybug"

Ladybug simply nodded "As I said when I arrived I discovered the identity of Hawkmoth now known as Shadowmoth and his allies. So far my investigation has revealed that his influence doesn't reach beyond Paris boarders both as Shadowmoth or his civilian identity. However when his identity is revealed to the public it is highly likely to cause mass unemployment and 30 percent of Paris's economy to collapse that will result in a financial collapse not seen since the great repression in France. Rewatching ML Season 3

Chameleon: Adrien pulls away from Lila. He’s very nice to her, but tells her not to lie to him. Akumatised Lila pretends to be mean Adrien. Chat Noir yet again sacrifices himself for Ladybug. Only Marinette and Adrien don’t fall for Lila’s lies. Adrien sit next to Marinette, but the whole class ends up sitting as they used to.

Animaestro: “Ladybug PV” as in-universe film. Marinette, why are you stupid enough to work with Chloé.

Backwarder: Alix says Adrien hates lies. Marinette giving Adrien the prescription is hilarious. So is Gabriel having a temporary villain lair in the train toilet.

Reflekdoll: Poor Juleka. So now Gabriel doesn’t care about Nathalie risking her life. Marinette and Adrien look cool as Lady Noire and Mister Bug. I think the episode is a little too critical of Chat Noir.

Weredad: Gabriel Akumatised a baby again. Marichat scenes. Have Adrien got only twenty peas to eat? His meal is ridiculous. Maybe he is forced to diet, because apparently he eats far too much cheese. Chat Noir says loneliness and isolation are the worst.

Desperada: Ladrien scenes. Adrien, where has your hair gone? Ladybug laughs at Adrien/Aspik’s jokes, but not Chat Noir’s. Adrien, what do you mean you’ve been trying for MONTHS.

Startrain: In the train Marinette sleeps on Adrien’s shoulder.

Kwami Buster: Adrien suspects that Marinette is Ladybug. Master Fu says using too many Miraculouses at once makes you mad (I see you, Monarch). Marinette as Mouse is cute, Adrien as Mr Banana is funny. Marinette tricks Chat Noir into believing that she can’t be Ladybug.

Feast: Master Fu’s backstory. Adrien’s worried about Nathalie.

Gamer 2.0: Chat Noir sacrifices himself.

Stormy Weather 2: There’re a lot of scenes from previous episodes. Marinette admits Adrien is her friend now. Nathalie admits she’s fallen in love with Gabriel and started caring about Adrien. Adrien recalls good moments with his father, but one of the memories is based on a lie (his father giving him the scarf). Plagg says Gabriel in the inside is either soft or rotten and while Adrien wants to believe the former, the latter is likely true. The second Christmas episode must have been before this episode.

Ikari Gozen: Kagami seems autistic. Chat Noir seems impressed with Kagami using the Dragon Miraculous. Adrien told Kagami that Marinette is his friend.

Timetagger: Ladybug and Chat Noir are bored and fed up with fighting Mr Pigeon for the 24th time. I wonder if Timetagger comes from their timeline or alternate timeline. Frankly speaking, I don’t treat those revelations about the future seriously. (#NoorooDeservesBetter) What’s more, Chat Noir and Nathalie say that future isn’t set in stone. From Cat Blanc we know that Bunnyx can travel to the future moments that ultimately become an alternate, non-existent timeline, so this is how I see the future that Timetagger comes from.

Party Crusher: Marinette, why are you so stupid. Adrien is surprised to see Marinette, but smiles when she still pretends to be Marino. Gabriel: ‘Joy? What’s going on in my house?!’ 

The Puppeteer 2: It’s both funny and sad that Adrien starts to believe that Marinette doesn’t like him at all. Adrien is just as silly as Marinette. Marinette kisses Adrien. Short Ladrien moment. Adrien tells Marinette that the girl he loves doesn’t like his jokes either.

Cat Blanc: The problem stems from the relationship between Adrien and his father. Adrien still loves him, but Gabriel is ready to use him to achieve his goal. This episode also shows that though Adrien is very nice and as Chat Noir he’s a carefree joker, he also has a lot of pain and anger inside. Additionally, reveals full of angst only weakens our superheroes.

Félix: Félix is fun to watch, he’s smart but emotionally unstable. He must be very lonely. Nathalie: Let’s Akumatise some teenagers.

Ladybug: Adrien says Marinette is fantastic. He stands up for Marinette when Lila accuses her of cheating. Marinette would’ve been Akumatised, if Nathalie hadn’t felt bad. Gabriel tells Nathalie not to use the Peacock Miraculous, but she does it behind his back. The Senti-Ladybug plot is a bit creepy in the context of season 5. Adrien forces Lila to withdraw the accusation.

Heart Hunter: Adrien likes Marinette with her hair down. She leaves him and Kagami alone after they’ve gone for ice-cream. She’s too distracted and makes a mistake that will result in loosing Master Fu. Chat Noir flirts with Ryuko. Chloé is jealous and joins Hawk Moth. Adrien and Kagami kiss.

Miracle Queen: Adrien says he wasn’t ready for the kiss and Kagami is hurt. Ladybug becomes the guardian of the Miraculouses. Will she forget everything in the future too?

Chris Master: I can’t stand that terrible old man in a red suit.

Miraculous World: New York: It looks like fanfiction a bit? Like everything’s a little over the top. The worst thing is Chat Noir accidentally killing a girl, it’s just so unnecessarily traumatic. It looks like this is his punishment for being dishonest with Ladybug. And with him sacrificing himself every other week and having some experience in being hit with the Cataclysm (Miraculer), I think he’d rather Cataclysm himself than an innocent girl.

I need this to exist somewhere that isn't my hard drive and isn't my A03, so take it or whatever.

It was difficult to keep himself occupied while waiting for breakfast time. He couldn't stop thinking about that other version of himself, about how different their lives were. At the slim chance he had to make his own better. He wondered if there was a chance for him to repair the damage he had done to his friendship with Nino, about how that would even work now that he was cooperating with Betterfly and the Rebellion. Marinette is Shadybug.

Marinette is Shadybug. He had been so shocked, and excited and relived and more terrified than he had ever been in his life. But now he was just worried, he wanted to be out of the theatre so fast he practically abandoned her there. It didn't matter that she had seemed off, he had decided to run from his memories again. There were a thousand reasons why Betterfly had chosen that particular abandoned building, but it still left a chill on his spine and a bitter taste in his mouth. Why that building.

He sighed flopping down on the couch again. "I wish you would do something other than eat and mess with my TV." He chided the Kwami that was working its way through a wheel of camembert and season one of Myth busters. The small black void blinked at him for a moment, and then ate another piece of cheese. "Petty gets us nowhere, Plagg." the creature ignored him, retuning its attention to the TV screen.

He sighed again looking back up to the ceiling, he felt bleary, and he wasn't exactly sure how many hours of sleep he had gotten this week, less than usual by how terrible he felt. Even without the pain from his miraculous gripping his consciousness he couldn't remember the last time he was this drained. Not even sleepy, just exhausted all the way through to his bones.

So I saw a post not too long ago that pointed out that Marinette has always been bending the rules for everyone but Chloe even before becoming the guardian.

In case anyone needs a reminder Kwami Buster revealed that if someone got exposed, they would be kicked off the team regardless of how they got exposed or how many people know.

which means that Nino and Alya should have been kicked off the team directly after Hero's day.

Given that Astruc views Marinette as his "virtual child", I suppose it would make sense for her to also change the rules when it's convenient for her as time goes on.

Which episodes from canon are you removing from your AU?

Well... I have 2 main lists of episodes I want to remove:

Episodes I'm pretty sure (by now) I'm going to remove: Robustus (the implications of AIs being able to be akumatized is not something I want to work on), Gigantitan, Animaestro, Chris Master, Oblivio, Gamer 2.0 (I really like the akuma dynamic but I don't want to use the same akuma again for most cases), Stormy Weather 2, Time Tagger (definitely no time travel here), Puppeteer 2, Party Crasher, Oblivio, Efemeral, Chat Blanc (I also don't want to do what if episodes. But I really like chat blanc's concept, so I'm still unsure about adding him somewhere else or not), Sole crusher, queen banana, hack-san, simpleman, dearest family, penalteam, Evolution, determination and revolution (And basically every special like NY etc)

Episodes I'm still unsure about removing or not: Copycat, Animam (I'll likely remove these 2), the pharaoh, horrificator, guitar villain, pixelator, princess fragrance, glaciator (I just hate Andre too much...), frozer, bakerix, reflekdoll, startrain, kwami buster, feast, ladybug, heart hunter and miracle queen, Mr pigeon 72, furious Fu, mega leech, guiltrip, crocoduel, glaciator 2, qilin, juro neko, and most of season 3 (except for destruction, passion, exaltation, kwamis choice and emotion)

BUT, tbh, not only those lists can change VERY much, but that also doesn't mean that I'm going to delete the whole plot of those episodes. The thing is:

1- There are many episodes that I'm going to keep the basic premise, but change most of the stuff that happens in them (for example: I plan to keep the episode "Kung food", but only the premise of "marinette's uncle gets akumatized because of a chef competition". Everything else that happens- such as Chloe being the judge- will likely change to a different plot). That means that many episodes that I plan to "remove" are just going to be given new plotlines to their basic premises. The opposite is also true- maybe there's a specific plot that happens in the episode (that isn't necessarily part of the "main plot"- or at least of what occupies most part of the episode, like the akuma) that I want to keep, BUT since the rest is either not interesting to me or simply wouldn't work in the AU, I'll just change the episode where this plotline happens (Example: though I'm removing Sole crusher, I'm not removing Zoe as a character- I'm just putting her introduction somewhere else) to other episode.

And 2- Originally, I wanted to remove as many episodes as I could so I wouldn't have to work with episodes that I considered to be "filler", that didn't have many events that progressed the narrative or the character growth. But, at this point, I've written so many stuff (and specially stuff that deviates from canon) that I honestly need to have episodes to include theses plots LOL, so I'll probably use some basic stuff of the episodes I was planning to remove (like some akumatized villains) to add these plots (and the AU is probably gonna be way bigger than I originally wanted to, lol).

Anyways, in summary, removing an episode does not mean removing a storyline (and vice versa). For every episode I want to remove, I have a list with the plots I want to keep and things that could give me new ideas (even from medias that mostly don't affect canon like the special episodes, even the PS5 game has stuff that I want to either keep or adapt lmao).

So, although those are the episodes I plan to remove at the moment, I think asking if I'm going to keep or remove a specific storyline would give a more precise answer in general.
