I just realized of all the Miraculous Marinette uses she never uses any of the time based Miraculous. She gives Sass first to Adrien and then to Luka and otherwise never uses him. Even during Miracle Queen she gives Sass to Chat Noir/Adrien again. In Evolution she gives the Rabbit Miraculous to Chat Noir/Adrien. There are a lot of reasons for this that are more proper (i.e. showing trust in Chat Noir when he thinks he lost trust in Ladybug) but the funny one I haven't seen mentioned is the simplest.
Marinette is horrible at time management and bad at using time thus she does not want to use a time miraculous because she is bad enough with time as it is.

So I calculated the exact screen time for all the love square ships in season 3...
I'm back again. Season 3 is finally complete. If you'd like to see my previous post, click here. Before we get into this, for newcomers and old faces (since there are new rules)...
Some Ground Rules
What I did and didn't count as screen time for the love square ships:
Both characters of the ship must be present in the scene for it to count as screen time for that ship and by that I mean the real versions of them. So Felix pretending to Adrien doesn't count.
At least one of the characters must be interacting with the other or both of them need to be doing something together for it to count because we can't have them acting like background characters and call that screen time.
If one of the characters believes that they are interacting with the alter ego of the character, it will count as screen time for that ship. Meaning Aspik with Ladybug will be counted as Ladrien because Ladybug knows that this is Adrien.
In case of group interactions, the screen time will only count if the interaction is specifically between the two characters or if one of the character's reaction to the other is given focus.
In case of reveal scenarios, screen time will be counted as whatever alter ego they are in. I debated with myself whether to count Box Noir and Ladybug as Ladynoir or Ladrien but I ultimately decided on Ladrien as Adrien isn't using the actual Cat Miraculous.
Now on to the data.
Screen Time Distribution
It seems that with every season, Ladynoir decreases in screen time as in season 1, it was 76 %, in season 2, it was 71.5 % and now in season 3, it's 68.7 %. Will this trend continue in future seasons? I guess will just have to see. But as usual it still has the most screen time. Also as usual, Adrienette follows behind, having improved in screen time from 19.7 % to 21.2 %. Similar to last season Ladrien comes in 3rd, having the same 6 % of screen time it did last season but being above Maricat by much less, it's screen time having been increased from 2.8 % to 4.2 %.
In terms of the overall distribution up until now, Adrienette has increased by 0.4 %, Ladynoir has decreased by 1.3 %, Maricat increased by 0.3 % and Ladrien increased by 0.5 %. So now we have Ladynoir still on top with 72 % of the screen time which is 5 hr 16 min 55 sec, Adrienette 19.8 % of the screen time with h is 1 hr 26 min 38 sec, Ladrien with 4.7 % of the screen time which is 20 min 35 sec, and Maricat 3.2 % of the screen time which is 14 min 10 sec.
Screen Time Trend
Similar to last season, Ladynoir took some hits, from 6 episodes, two of them being right next to each other, that is, "Oblivio" and "Desparada". Also similar to last season we had a string of Ladynoir exclusive episodes from "Gamer 2.0" to "Timetagger" which helped to prop up Ladynoir in the screen time distribution department. It's average screen time per episode is much less than the previous 2 seasons, with it being 3 min 34 sec.
Adrienette made love square screen time history in "Oblivio" by having more screen time than any ship has ever had in an episode with 9 min 3 sec of it. It one-upped Ladynoir in other episodes as well such as "Chameleon" and "The Puppeteer 2", but not by as much as it did in "Oblivio". It had an average screen time of 1 min 6 sec.
The designated Maricat episode of the season finally dethroned Ladynoir for the episode, with it having 3 min 57 sec of screen time in "Weredad", the most screen time it's ever gotten. It's average screen time per episode has slightly increased from the last 2 seasons, with it now being 13 sec.
Ladrien had also gotten more screen time than it's ever gotten before, having 5 min 35 sec of screen time in "Desparada" which also made it the ship with the most screen time in that episode. It's average screen time per episode is 19 sec.
We also had the first episode to ever include screen time for all the love square ships and what better episode to hold that title than "Cat Blanc".
Conclusion
That's it for now. Feel free to make your own observations with this data. Until next time!

Lila in "Recreation"
I think for me one of, if not THE most scary implications of the season 5 finale is at the beginning we see that Lila stole everything from Tomoe's control laptop (?)
with which Tomoe the entire time already had full control of the Agreste mansion as we found out in "Recreation
Meaning not only was the Agreste mansion - Adrien's home for all his life - never save for him in the first place because of Tomoe (which does put things more into perspective)
Now this access to Adrien's home is in Lila's hands after she already has all the information on Gabriel since "Revelation". I think "Oni-Chan" just became one of the most relevant episodes regarding Lila's character again cause there she already got into Adrien's home and then going after Kagami like in said episode of s3 who 'coincidentally' was one of Lila's main victims this season.
Everything about Lila in the finale episode feels like a pay-off to "Oni-Chan" something I didn't even remotely had on my mind going into this, but remembering that episode suddenly makes ALOT of things make much more sense concerning her character overall and her motivation. I think I will take a MUCH closer look at Lila's character from now on.
Though the most alarming thing for me is that not only does Lila immediately look to the father-son portrait of which we only see Adrien, visually telling us who she was looking at,
She's standing here not even looking like a malicious villain. She calmly and content with the world looks at Adrien first and then at Ladybug and Monarque in the basement of Adrien's wrecked home with a face of "a job well done"
There is no malice in her face and that's by far the scariest part. She planned this and when she sees her work paying-off she isnt feeling malicious glee, she's just calm and pleased.
We are so NOT ready for Lila! Though thinking about it it kinda should have been obvious. Even if Miraculous changes things up they still keep the same core elements of the story, so it shouldnt be any surprise that Adrien in the new beginning will once again be placed in the Butterfly's grasp and looking at Lila here I think she's gonna be a bit smarter about it than Gabriel before her.
#ml spoilers#ml recreation#lila rossi#Ml season 5#Ml Oni-Chan#Ml season 3#You know with Gabriel gone i got worried that I would lose my main driving force for this blog#Adrien's complicated dynamic with the main villain#But looking at Lila here I think I'm good lol

Lesbian Headcanons Pt. 2: Kagami
I feel like this is a pretty popular headcanon already. In fact, I’ve already talked about it a bit lol. But truthfully, there’s still so much more to break down. So let’s get into it!
It seems she misconstrued her own feelings towards Adrien
Kagami has shown a lot of comphet type behavior, especially when she was trying to get with Adrien. Lemme explain.
One sign of compulsory heterosexuality is mistaking your platonic relationship with a boy as romantic feelings. In Ikari Gozen, it was proven that Kagami’s mother is so strict that she won’t even let her try to make friends other than Adrien. But even though they’re friends, Tomoe won’t even allow her to have Adrien’s number.
So, with these strict rules limiting her to just one friendship (at the beginning of her debut in the show), she only has Adrien to see as a friend and potential romantic partner. Seeing as how he’s the sweet and cute guy, it’s easy to mistake this kind, relatable connection + aesthetic attraction as a romantic one. That’s not to say she doesn’t care about Adrien, she clearly does a whole lot. But, notice how once she tries to date him, she’s quick to notice the red flags yet she still forces and convinces herself that she wants to be with him.
A veil was lifted after dating Adrien
Like I had just mentioned, she got a pretty good idea of Adrien once she started dating him. She chose to ignore his behavior at first and convinced herself that she’s in love with him but was able to quickly break up with him when this behavior kept continuing.
Kagami is a very smart cookie. I’m glad she noticed that Adrien was being secretive and figured out he wasn’t right for her. Very quickly after their relationship ended, she started encouraging Marinette to confess her feelings to him. She also very quickly believed that Marinette and Adrien are the ones who are right for each other.
What’s interesting is how she’s suddenly completely supportive of Marinette’s feelings for Adrien and Adrien’s feelings for Marinette. Getting over her breakup with him wasn’t hard. She didn’t try to tear the two of them apart; there was no sabotaging nor jealousy involved. So that leaves the question: how did she suddenly become so supportive?
Kagami is a genuinely caring person. She’s also very strong and capable of taking care of herself. But, breakups still aren’t easy for most people. I’m suspicious there’s more reasons as to how she was able to move on so quickly. That ties into my theory that she realized she has romantic feelings for Marinette (which I’ll talk about more in the next section).
OR, she just realized she’s not into men as a whole like she thought she was. Now that she’s been put out into the world by Marinette, she’s able to see and talk to more girls. Having more social interactions with people can easily help determine what attracts her and what doesn’t. She no longer only has Adrien as a friend and potential romantic partner, she has many other possibilities now.
Her behavior around Marinette is different
Kagami was comfortable with Adrien from the start. From the get go, he was more taken aback by her.
However, Kagami was pretty nervous the first time she had one-on-one time with Marinette in Ikari Gozen. Kagami, who’s usually pretty confident and up front, got scared to talk to Marinette.
I have a theory that she has a bit of a crush on Marinette. All of that sudden nervous behavior and struggling so much just to try to make conversation with her is pretty telling. You’d expect someone like Kagami to be fine making conversation with someone, considering she was able to fight and speak to cute super model Adrien Agreste. But nope. Marinette makes her a bit timid, very much as if she has a crush on her.
She wanted to know more about Marinette and to genuinely become her friend. It’s sweet. Obviously it wasn’t good when Marinette didn’t trust her at first. But, it’s good she learned very quickly that Kagami just wants to be accepted and have friends at the very least.
I love their dynamic after that day, too. Marinette really grew to like and care about Kagami. She’s comfortable enough having her number and checking on her (even in person). They have potential to be a great couple if Adrien wasn’t in the picture. But because he’s Marinette’s love, Kagami didn’t want to get in the way. It’s still a o sad, I hope she finds someone. It’d be really cool if she ended up finding a girlfriend.
She was able to click with Marinette easily - just like Zoe was able to
Marinette is shown as a very likable character. She has a lot of friends, especially ones in school.
However, what I loved is that they had specific episodes with a strong focus on her befriending Kagami and Zoe, not just Alya. Like, why would they have episodes with such a heavy focus on these friendships if they didn’t mean a whole lot?
From the beginning, like I had mentioned in my precious section, Kagami was nervous around Marinette like a crush and since then, they’ve developed a very good bond rather quickly. It mirrors Zoe in a sense, not in a way of how Zoe was able to up and give Marinette her number during their very first conversation, but in how their bond became so strong in such a quick amount of time.
Marinette has shown signs of struggling to open up to people, including those in her own friend group. In fact, she doesn’t individually hang out with any of the other girls in her school friend circle besides Alya, and then of course Kagami and Zoe who aren’t even in her class.
So, considering she was so quick to trust Kagami and Zoe - especially as miraculous holders - shows that there’s a different bond there in comparison to the rest of her classmate girl friends.
It was also incredible seeing Marinette prioritize Kagami first when she heard about her and Adrien’s breakup. Kagami was also very quick to deny that she still had any romantic feelings for Adrien.
That situation mirrors Marinette trying to stick by Zoe when she noticed her behavior changed because of Chloe’s influence. Marinette didn’t prioritize trying to sabotage Chloe in any sort of way, she just wanted to be there for Zoe and her new adjustment living in Paris instead of New York.
Another important reason that I compare Zoe and Kagami is that Zoe is canonically queer (as seen in Deflagration), and Kagami’s behavior and relationship with Marinette are similar to hers. Even though Kagami isn’t openly flirtatious with any girls, she still shows some obvious signs that she may not be straight and that she has a strong relationship with Marinette for a reason (ahem, she likes her).
Something else to compare could be how Zoe was originally scared to be more open with people about who she truly is. Despite Kagami being very up front and honest, she hides parts of herself away that she’s slowly becoming more open about, like Zoe did. I’m willing to bet if Tomoe wasn’t a strict mother, Kagami would be able to be more open about herself and find out what she enjoys instead of being very uptight.
She got defensive when she first interacted with Chloe
Ah, yes. My other sapphic girl, Chloe. I had mentioned this interaction in part one of my lesbian headcanon posts. But since this directly relates to Kagami, let’s talk about her again.
Her and Kagami were only shown speaking in Animaestro, however it’s a very interesting and unusual kind of interaction. Lemme explain.
Chloe is usually very bossy towards just about everyone who she believes is below her (popularity and wealth wise). She didn’t even know Kagami and told her to get out of “her seat.” But Kagami didn’t take any of that.
Kagami instead defended herself right away. Threw the harshness right back in Chloe’s face, enough to scare/intimidate her - someone who’s always the big bad bully. Kagami wasn’t scared of her and instead was the one to scare Chloe off.
One could argue that this is a stretch because “how is she nervous around her potential crush, Marinette, but not Chloe?” Well, just because she quickly defended herself doesn’t necessarily mean she wasn’t nervous. In fact, if she’s that quick to dish back at Chloe, she’s at least somewhat intimidated having her there and wanted to drive her away.
Think about how Kagami could’ve said, “Look. There’s a chair right over there. Sorry, I’m not moving.” or could’ve just left, letting Chloe take her spot. But she didn’t. She 1) either got bad vibes from Chloe and didn’t want her around, or 2) she was quickly intimidated by her too and didn’t want to have to interact with her for that reason.
Also consider this. Kagami was still in that stage of being completely convinced that she loved Adrien. One could think that anyone else who seemed interested in Adrien needs to be tossed aside. However, she didn’t throw Marinette out of her life just because she liked Adrien. So then what was it that made her so quickly defend herself when Chloe came in? I’m thinking intimidation. She’s this stunning, upper class girl who isn’t afraid to be up front just like Kagami. That could be easily intimidating for someone like Kagami, especially if she’s sapphic. Chloe mirrors her intimidation and comphet behavior.
Conclusion
Holy toledo are there a lot of signs that Kagami is gay. That was a lot to break down but it makes a lot of sense.
Kagami’s behavior, interactions, appearance, etc just give off very closeted lesbian vibes. I sense it.
Now, I’ve said I really like the Lukagami ship too. I still stand by that. However, it would make even more sense if it turns out that she isn’t straight but lesbian.
Kagami still has a lot to figure out about herself. Her being canonically gay and finally realizing this in the show would be an incredible character arc.

Rewatching ML Season 3
Chameleon: Adrien pulls away from Lila. He’s very nice to her, but tells her not to lie to him. Akumatised Lila pretends to be mean Adrien. Chat Noir yet again sacrifices himself for Ladybug. Only Marinette and Adrien don’t fall for Lila’s lies. Adrien sit next to Marinette, but the whole class ends up sitting as they used to.
Animaestro: “Ladybug PV” as in-universe film. Marinette, why are you stupid enough to work with Chloé.
Bakerix: —
Backwarder: Alix says Adrien hates lies. Marinette giving Adrien the prescription is hilarious. So is Gabriel having a temporary villain lair in the train toilet.
Reflekdoll: Poor Juleka. So now Gabriel doesn’t care about Nathalie risking her life. Marinette and Adrien look cool as Lady Noire and Mister Bug. I think the episode is a little too critical of Chat Noir.
Weredad: Gabriel Akumatised a baby again. Marichat scenes. Have Adrien got only twenty peas to eat? His meal is ridiculous. Maybe he is forced to diet, because apparently he eats far too much cheese. Chat Noir says loneliness and isolation are the worst.
Silencer: —
Onichan: Calm down, Marinette, Adrien is kind and a little naive, but he isn’t stupid. Gabriel also thinks Adrien’s too naive. Adrien is fed up with girls fighting over him, but is touched by Kagami’s love for him.
Miraculer: Ladybug should listen to Chat Noir’s advice about talking to Chloé. Ladybug is too focused on defeating the villain, ignoring the emotional aspect. Chloé resists the Akuma. Chat Noir is hit with the Cataclism twice. Chloé is Queen Bee again.
Amnesio: Ladybug and Chat Noir lose their memory, detransform in front of each other and quickly assume they’re a couple, and they kiss. Adrien says he wouldn’t hide his identity from his girlfriend.
Desperada: Ladrien scenes. Adrien, where has your hair gone? Ladybug laughs at Adrien/Aspik’s jokes, but not Chat Noir’s. Adrien, what do you mean you’ve been trying for MONTHS.
Startrain: In the train Marinette sleeps on Adrien’s shoulder.
Kwami Buster: Adrien suspects that Marinette is Ladybug. Master Fu says using too many Miraculouses at once makes you mad (I see you, Monarch). Marinette as Mouse is cute, Adrien as Mr Banana is funny. Marinette tricks Chat Noir into believing that she can’t be Ladybug.
Feast: Master Fu’s backstory. Adrien’s worried about Nathalie.
Gamer 2.0: Chat Noir sacrifices himself.
Stormy Weather 2: There’re a lot of scenes from previous episodes. Marinette admits Adrien is her friend now. Nathalie admits she’s fallen in love with Gabriel and started caring about Adrien. Adrien recalls good moments with his father, but one of the memories is based on a lie (his father giving him the scarf). Plagg says Gabriel in the inside is either soft or rotten and while Adrien wants to believe the former, the latter is likely true. The second Christmas episode must have been before this episode.
Ikari Gozen: Kagami seems autistic. Chat Noir seems impressed with Kagami using the Dragon Miraculous. Adrien told Kagami that Marinette is his friend.
Timetagger: Ladybug and Chat Noir are bored and fed up with fighting Mr Pigeon for the 24th time. I wonder if Timetagger comes from their timeline or alternate timeline. Frankly speaking, I don’t treat those revelations about the future seriously. (#NoorooDeservesBetter) What’s more, Chat Noir and Nathalie say that future isn’t set in stone. From Cat Blanc we know that Bunnyx can travel to the future moments that ultimately become an alternate, non-existent timeline, so this is how I see the future that Timetagger comes from.
Party Crusher: Marinette, why are you so stupid. Adrien is surprised to see Marinette, but smiles when she still pretends to be Marino. Gabriel: ‘Joy? What’s going on in my house?!’
The Puppeteer 2: It’s both funny and sad that Adrien starts to believe that Marinette doesn’t like him at all. Adrien is just as silly as Marinette. Marinette kisses Adrien. Short Ladrien moment. Adrien tells Marinette that the girl he loves doesn’t like his jokes either.
Cat Blanc: The problem stems from the relationship between Adrien and his father. Adrien still loves him, but Gabriel is ready to use him to achieve his goal. This episode also shows that though Adrien is very nice and as Chat Noir he’s a carefree joker, he also has a lot of pain and anger inside. Additionally, reveals full of angst only weakens our superheroes.
Félix: Félix is fun to watch, he’s smart but emotionally unstable. He must be very lonely. Nathalie: Let’s Akumatise some teenagers.
Ladybug: Adrien says Marinette is fantastic. He stands up for Marinette when Lila accuses her of cheating. Marinette would’ve been Akumatised, if Nathalie hadn’t felt bad. Gabriel tells Nathalie not to use the Peacock Miraculous, but she does it behind his back. The Senti-Ladybug plot is a bit creepy in the context of season 5. Adrien forces Lila to withdraw the accusation.
Heart Hunter: Adrien likes Marinette with her hair down. She leaves him and Kagami alone after they’ve gone for ice-cream. She’s too distracted and makes a mistake that will result in loosing Master Fu. Chat Noir flirts with Ryuko. Chloé is jealous and joins Hawk Moth. Adrien and Kagami kiss.
Miracle Queen: Adrien says he wasn’t ready for the kiss and Kagami is hurt. Ladybug becomes the guardian of the Miraculouses. Will she forget everything in the future too?
Chris Master: I can’t stand that terrible old man in a red suit.
Miraculous World: New York: It looks like fanfiction a bit? Like everything’s a little over the top. The worst thing is Chat Noir accidentally killing a girl, it’s just so unnecessarily traumatic. It looks like this is his punishment for being dishonest with Ladybug. And with him sacrificing himself every other week and having some experience in being hit with the Cataclysm (Miraculer), I think he’d rather Cataclysm himself than an innocent girl.

What do you think about the Claims that The Derision Flashback is a Retcon?
SPOILER WARNING FOR THE EPISODE DERISION (AND ABOUT A DETAIL FROM THE SEASON 5 FINALE) :
In a way, I can understand why people see it that way, on the surface, very few things in the behavior of the characters's involved in the Derision flashback indicates that these events took place before the beginning of season 1. And yet, if we push the psychoanalysis far enough, it remains coherent in my eyes.
We must take into account the fact that Derision was written quite some time after the beginning of Miraculous Ladybug, and it would make sense that between the previous seasons and the writting of season 5, vision of the scriptwriters on their story and their characters has evolved. It's possible that the ML writters realized at some point that it was not that cool to make fun of Marinette's anxiety with her love life, and that it woud be best to give an explanation about her cringiness. Also, I would not past them wanting to shut up those who calls Marinette a creepy stalker and Chloé a saint with the Episode Derision. So yeah maybe its a retcon, but one that isn't fully illogical or inconsistent with the story in my eyes, for the following reasons :
I think that what we see in this flashback makes perfect sense storywise telling, there was always subtile signs in Marinette's behavior that she was bullied by Chloé and didn't have friends before season 1, all her classmates were mostly acquaintances, because Chloé did her best to keep them from befriend Marinette and vice versa.
The ML characters already proved before that they don't like to remember nor think about embarrassing incidents, just look at the whole incident with Lila's false accusations and Marinette's temporary expulsion during the episode Ladybug. After that episode no one seems to remember that Lila is supposed to have a "lying disease", and Alya clearly seems to have forgotten about the fact that Lila lied about being Ladybug's best friend, or she just doesn't care about it.
Some people after being victim of an embarrassing and traumatic event, can prefer not to think or talk about the incident in question again, and can come to put the negative feelings and memory of this specific event somewhere in the back of their heads. And the intense negative feelings related to this traumatic experience may reappear only later, when the person is in a situation where they feel more vulnerable and stressed than usual.
In the episode Derision, Marinette finds herself in a context where, following her failure as guardian, she is more than ever in the grip of doubt when it comes to her own feelings. And the fact of finally having a date with Adrien after several months where nothing worked, everything seems too fast and sudden and it makes her uncomfortable. She explains it very clearly to Luka during the episode Determination
Marinette never treated Kim like he traumatised her before because she is a very forgiving person in nature, she gave a chance to Hawkmoth of all of people to make the right decision during heroes's day and sorry for the spoil, but she'll once again give him a chance to right his wrong at the end of season 5. So I'm not surprise that if Marinette can forgive somoene as monstruous as Monarch, then it makes sense that she would remain nice and supportive of Kim after his cruel prank. And by extension, it makes sense that she still gave a chance to Chloé with the Bee miraculous in seasons 2 and 3
Speaking about Chloé, yeah her behavior in the Derision's flashback is worse and more monstruous than we've ever seen her before, and yet it perfectly fits her own words during the episode Sole Crusher, that she used Marinette as a "sufferer" for years for her own sick pleasure, and that she kinda got soft after becoming Queen Bee. And in the previous seasons Chloé did held back the worst of what she could do not just because of Queen Bee, but also because of Adrien. I think that for a time Adrien's presence prevented Chloé from doing all or worse to Marinette of what she did to her the year before, but also because bullies are so cowardly and weak-minded that they prefer to go after insecure victims who don't fight back. So when Marinette finally gained a backbone and more self-confidence, it caught Chloe off-guard enough for her to calm down her bullying for a while.
On a personal note, I speculate that the writting team also make the episode Drision to raise awareness about bullying in school. The episode Quilin was written after after a large wave of protests in France where police violence has become more present, and recently, cases of school harassment are becoming more and more known in France (as to whether harassment has increased in France in recent years or if we talk about it more today, I cannot confirm it) I clearly remembers recent news which focused on two cases of suicides due to school bullying, a 16-year-old girl in high school, and a 13-year-old boy in college
So in the end, I personally don't think that the flashback in Derision is a real retcon, just the usual clumsiness and inconsistency that has always been present in Miraculous

Instead of Chloe getting thrown in a trashcan they could have made her the William Dunbar of Miraculous or something
THIS GIVES ME AN IDEA
You can leave all they wrote until season 3 , I have an AU idea which is one season long of Chloe going missing after Hawkmoth makes her an akumatized fallen hero, and she acts as the season's main villain instead clashing with Ladybug
