STAINLESS STEEL PRESSURE COOKER BUYING GUIDE 2022
While buying a Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker, you must consider a few important factors to ensure the cooker suits your cooking needs. Here’s how to do it!
Tumblr media
A homeowner is often looking for a Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker in most potential cookware stores. This is because pressure cookers made of Stainless Steel are long-lasting. They are also easy to clean, air-tight, and easy to maintain, helping you indulge in a smooth kitchen cooking experience.
Sometimes, it may seem tough to choose the right Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker. This article can help you solve this complex problem with certain simple factors during such times.
How To Choose The Right Steel Pressure Cooker?
1. Pick An Appropriate Size
Any Steel Cooker comes in a versatile range of sizes. You can choose one from amidst them that suits your cooking needs at best. Find out how many people you need to cook them for. Accordingly, you can choose a cooker size that helps accommodate the necessary amount of food needed. We do not recommend you to purchase a bigger size because that can make it difficult for you to cook the food properly or even carry the pressure cooker.
For example- a small family including 3 or 4 people can do with a cooker of 3-5 liters. Similarly, a family with more than five people might need 5 to 9 liters accordingly.
 2. Check The Stove Compatibility
Some pressure cooker Stainless Steel may fail to be compatible with Induction stoves. So, make sure that you see whether this compatibility is offered when you head out to buy a pressure cooker next. This helps ensure that your pressure cooker can serve you well, even during emergency hours. So, if your gas stove stops working due to any reason, you can still cook food on your pressure cooker using an Induction stove without any hindrance. This allows you to cook your food in the kitchen without having second thoughts.
3. Scout For A Well-known Brand
We highly recommend you opt for a Stainless Steel Cooker that a well-known brand features. This ensures top-quality and speaks for the credibility the product may have to offer you. Apart from this, these best brands may also be able to provide potential reviews and ratings on which particular products are the best to purchase. We recommend Stahl as a reputed brand for the highest quality of pressure cookers. So, make sure you choose them conveniently.
4. Analyze If It Has Two Side Handles
A large pressure cooker may also come with two side handles. Many brands offer this feature in their Steel Pressure Cookers that can improve your cooking experience and ensure maximum safety in the kitchen area.
So, when the cooker gets heavy and difficult to carry, you do not have to worry about accidents. You can hold the cooker conveniently and lift it up without any hassles with two side handles. You can also check out the Triply Pressure Cooker amidst everything.
Choose Your Best Stainless Steel Cookware In India Today!
The Best Non Stick Cookware Brands can help you have an uncomplex cooking experience. They also ensure paramount safety in the kitchen area to improve your overall cooking. Stainless Steel can also manage to look shiny and new for years. That is why most people tend to opt for these products in the market. You can also do the same in need.
If you want to use Non-Stick Cookware, please select the product accordingly. Consider the factors that we have listed above to leave no room for complaints. We promise; that the experience will be worth it.

3 QUICK AND EASY STAINLESS STEEL PRESSURE COOKER DESSERTS
A meal feels incomplete without a good dessert, but who has the time and effort to slave over a little sweet nothing. So, we’ve devised three must try recipes that’ll give you the precious time you need while your friends and family enjoy restaurant style desserts at home.
Tumblr media
While it’s common to cook savouries in a steel pressure cooker to save on precious time and effort, what few know is that desserts too come out super well and way faster in a stainless steel pressure cooker. And no, you don’t need a non-stick or an oven to make these dishes. Instead, if you have a superior-quality triply technology stainless steel cooker, you are perfectly armed for the job at hand.
So here goes, do try them, and let us know how it goes.
                                                                1. Caramel Custard
This mouth-watering and simple dessert is always a party hit and done with absolutely no extra time or effort in the kitchen. Caramel custard is a creamy dessert with a beautiful caramel flavour that can be served on any occasion or even for no occasion. And in a pressure cooker it is that much faster and simpler to make at home.
 Ingredients:
Custard:
500ml full fat milk
4 eggs plus 1 egg yolk
150g granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla essence
Caramel:
200g sugar
 Directions:
Custard:
Beat the eggs and additional egg yolk with the sugar. Mix the milk and vanilla essence and pour into the egg mix. Whisk well.
Caramel:
In your cooker, on a high flame, add the sugar. Ensure the sugar is evenly melted and turn off the flame. Pour the caramel into individual ramekins or a ring form pan. Fill the caramelised pan/ ramekins with the custard, just ½ -inch short of the top. Cover the moulds tightly with foil.
Add one cup of water into your stainless steel cooker. Place a wire rack in the pressure cooker.
If using a ring mould, cover it with foil and carefully lower it onto the wire rack with the help of a foil sling. Lock the lid. Set the flame on high for 10 minutes.
If using ramekins, cover each one with foil and place on the wire mesh. Lock the lid and set for 6 minutes on high flame. Let the steam release for 10 minutes and cool for one hour. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Just before serving place each ramekin or the ring mould in a baking dish of very warm water for about 1 minute. Place a plate/dish on top and flip the mould over onto it.
 2. Classic Cheesecake
With any jam or topping of your choice.
This scrumptious dessert is a creamy mousse-y not excessively sweet, yet very refreshing slice of heaven. And unlike popular belief, can easily be made on your stovetop.
 Ingredients:
Crust:
200g crushed biscuits
50g butter, melted
30g granulated sugar
Filling:
500g cream cheese, softened
1.5 tbsp (12g) Maida / all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
100g granulated sugar
1 cup (250ml) water
 Directions:
For the crust, combine the crushed biscuits, butter, and granulated sugar in a small bowl. Mix well. Press the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a springform pan. Freeze for 15 minutes.
For the filling, whip the cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs, and granulated sugar. Mix well, then add vanilla essence and then the Maida. Mix until incorporated. Pour the filling over the chilled crust and spread evenly. Make a sling with foil to lower the pan into the cooker.
Pour the water into the base of your steel cooker. Place a wire rack into it. Place the pan onto the wire rack. Lock the lid. Set the flame on low and your timer for 45 mins
Once the timer is up, allow the steam to release for 10 minutes before opening your triply cooker. Pull the pan out using the foil sling. The centre of the cheesecake should jiggle very slightly when you shake it gently. It will firm up as it cools. Wait for the cake to cool completely, then loosen the springform pan. Place in a container and refrigerate overnight.
Serve with any fruit sauce or jam.
 3. Gajar Ka Halwa
Just the thought of this recipe is sending me to buy gajar. Known to be a winter dessert, this classic Indian dessert is an all-time any-time comfort food. And while the traditional recipe asks for full fat milk and tonnes of sugar and even more time to combine them, here’s a simple recipe that uses condensed milk, and therefore, condensed time. That beautiful tri-ply stainless steel cooker of yours and dig into this delicious treat without having to slave over it.
 Ingredients:
1 kg carrots (grated)
4 tbsp ghee/ clarified butter
150 ml full fat milk
1 tin sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
Raisins, almonds, cashews, and pistachios as per your liking
Directions:
Heat the cooker over a low flame with 2 tsp ghee. Fry your raisins, almonds (sliced) and cashews (Chopped) until golden brown and then remove and set aside.
Once again heat the cooker with 2 tbsp ghee and the grated carrots. Turn up the flame to full and sauté for about 5 mins. Add the full fat milk and mix in completely. Lock the lid and allow it to cook for 20 mins. Once the timer is up, take your triply pressure cooker off the stove and let the steam release for 10 mins before opening the lid.
Now on a high flame add the condensed milk to the cooked gajar and cook until milk evaporates to your preferred consistency (about 10 mins). Stir in the raisins, cardamom and remaining ghee, and garnish with almonds, pistachios, and cashews. Serve hot and enjoy!

NON-STICK VS STAINLESS STEEL COOKWARE
In our fast-paced daily lives, one scarcely has the time to research what kind of cookware to use for what circumstances. We’re going to take a quick look at what works where so that you know exactly what cookware to pull out for what recipe.
If you’re looking for a pan that can cook at high temperatures, then stainless steel is the best choice. If efficiency in every other way like easy clean-up and less oil consumption is more important to you, non-stick may be a better choice. But this is not an either/or option, having both in your kitchen is absolutely vital. So, here’s an idea of what kind of cookware to pull out and why.
Tumblr media
While many claim that the professional chef would not use non-stick pans, Stahl Kitchens’ frying pans can be found even in the professional home chef’s kitchen. And that’s because of our unique Triply technology fused with our Greblon coating.
Similarly, while many claim that too much oil goes into cooking in a stainless steel cookware, our technology brings you our Triply stainless steel cookware that uses very little oil to cook in.
Although a non-stick pan wins against traditional cookware in terms of ease of use and convenience, technology has advanced so far to give even your latest stainless cookware superpowers. Now with Triply technology which is an evolutionary upgrade in the world of cookware, even the cons of stainless steel cookware no longer exist.
Stahl Kitchens Triply stainless steel cookware comprises a layer of aluminium to evenly and uniformly conduct heat, sandwiched between layers of food grade SS304 stainless steel thus presenting the best stainless steel cookware in India, only to compete against the best quality non-stick cookware available.
Non-Stick generally comes in a couple of options: ceramic and polymer coating. Traditionally polymer coatings were mostly Teflon, but now, new and constantly evolving technology presents Greblon coating for cookware which have multiple reinforcements of polymer coatings making them extremely durable, robust, and more resistant to corrosion and abrasion giving you the best quality non-stick cookware. Stahl non-stick cookware is equipped with the C3+ grade Greblon coating encased in the Triply stainless steel making your cookware the very best that technology can offer.
To help prolong the life of your non-stick, avoid storing food in the cookware itself for long durations, always cook on a low or moderate flame, oil the non-stick pan while it is still cool, and avoid using abrasive materials while cleaning it.
Thus, when to use a non-stick pan, is when dealing with delicate foods like eggs, fish, risotto, pancakes, French toast, and foods that need a low to medium flame and tend to stick to the pan.
So, our Triply stainless steel fry pan would be used for cooking on a high flame, meats like chicken, pork, and steaks, or for acidic foods like tomato sauces, and wine. Also, if using a dishwasher always use our Triply frying pan. Our Artisan series will give you a great concept on the various Triply stainless steel cookware on offer.
While your Triply stainless steel cookware, be it a frying pan, a saucepan or a wok, is definitely heavy duty and will last you a long time, it cannot replace the need of a high quality non-stick pan like our Greblon coated frying pans which are scratch and corrosion resistant making your food always safe for consumption. Do check out our NevrStick Artisan Series of Greblon coated non-stick pans encased in Triply stainless steel.
So, remember, choosing the right cookware for the right recipe is key to how it turns out. For foods like eggs, hamburgers, and fish, bring out your Greblon coated non-stick frying pan so that they’re easier to manage without too much heartbreak. For something that requires browning, bringing to smoke point, oven-cooking or just needs to be done on a high flame, pull out your Triply stainless steel cookware and remember when there’s liquids like a gravy or saucy dish that requires a saucepan, no point in getting a non-stick, best to stick to our Triply stainless steel Woks and saucepans. Once you’ve got a gist of what cookware to use when and why cooking becomes that much simpler, really. Do look at our range of Greblon-coated triply encased cookware in our Artisan Nevrstick and Artisan Hybrid Series at Stahl Kitchens for an idea of the best non-stick cookware brand product to bring home to your kitchen. Our Artisan series gives you a perspective of our pure Triply stainless steel range of cookware, so you're never unarmed no matter what the occasion.
Now you're well-equipped to enjoy the art of cooking complex dishes in the easiest way possible, and within the comfort of your home kitchen. Bring home the professional chef in you with our wide range of products. Visit

5-MINUTE RECIPES USING STAHL COOKWARE THAT YOU’LL LOVE TO RUSTLE UP!
Often, our everyday hectic lives do not allow us enough time to prepare elaborate recipes, especially if we’re working professionals or have family responsibilities to tend to. Thanks to Stahl, you do not need to sweat. Our easy-to-rustle-up five-minute recipes will show you that taste can be achieved in a short amount of time. To add to that the quality of our latest technology Triply which combines the heat efficiency of aluminium with the health benefits of steel into you daily cooking. And this is done ensuring your food never comes into contact with the aluminium layer. Here goes our top four five-minute recipes for you to try:
Tumblr media
 1. Cheesy Bread Pizza
 Ingredients:
1 tomato (chopped)
1 capsicum (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped)
½ tsp red chilli flakes
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp black pepper powder
salt to taste
4 tbsp pizza sauce
1 cup grated cheese (mozzarella or processed)
6 slices of bread
3 tbsp butter
Stahl Tip: Make sure you use Stahl’s Triply Non-Stick Tawa from our Artisan Nevrstick series. Our Greblon coating offers you the best quality in non-stick cookware and saves both time and energy.
 Instructions:
In a bowl add all the chopped vegetables and spices. Mix well and keep aside. Evenly spread pizza sauce on all the bread slices. Top it with the vegetables. Finally add some grated cheese. Place your Triply non-stick tawa on a medium flame and add a teaspoon of butter and let it melt without burning it. Now place the bread pizza slices on it. Make sure the flame is low. Cover the tawa and cook for around 3 minutes or until the cheese melts completely. The bread pizza is ready. Finally sprinkle some oregano and red chilli flakes.
Serve hot!
 Notes:
If you do not have pizza sauce, then you can replace it with some tomato ketchup.
Always cook the bread pizza on low flame else it might burn from the bottom.
You can use your choice of vegetables.
 2. Vegetable Stir-Fry
 Ingredients:
1 packet Mushrooms (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
½ zucchini (chopped)
½ broccoli (chopped)
3 carrots (thinly sliced)
1 capsicum green (thinly sliced)
1 capsicum red (thinly sliced)
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp chilli flakes,
Stir-fry soy sauce
1 packet rice/noodles/pasta
Stahl Tip: Our Artisan Hybrid Triply Kadhai combines the best in non-stick Greblon coating with a honeycomb structure. We also recommend our Artisan Deep Frypan as it is best for stir-fries because its shape keeps the food in it moving.
 Instructions:
The key to a great stir-fry is to have everything prepped in advance because the cooking process goes faster. Once you have the right dish for the job, things flow through much quicker.
Make sure the oil in the Kadai gets to the right temperature first before adding and sauteing the onions. Stir till translucent.
Start with hard vegetables like carrots and broccoli. Stir and scoop vegetables to the side to make room for more.
Then add the softer vegetables, like sliced mushrooms and zucchini. Pour in some water and always keep the veggies moving in the pan. If you want something to stay crunchy, add it at the end.
For an extra boost of flavour, minced garlic and ginger are added last
When your vegetables are at their desired doneness, add your sauce.
 Notes:
For a good stir-fry, cooking vegetables at a high heat is essential for retaining crunch. Remember to add a splash of water for steam if they need a little boost.
Whether you eat it as-is or serve it with a side of rice/noodles/pasta, you’ll have a sumptuous meal and, best of all, no wastage.
 3. Egg Bhurji on Rusk/Toast
 Ingredients:
2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 tablespoon Butter
1 medium size Onion (Chopped)
1 Green Chilli (Chopped)
2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 Tomato (Chopped)
1 tsp Coriander (Dhanya) Powder
1 tsp Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
2 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala
1 tsp Red Chilli flakes
Salt to taste
4 Eggs (if you don’t have eggs replace with paneer or tofu)
Fresh Coriander (Chopped)
Stahl Tip: Stahl’s Artisan Hybrid Frying Pan comes with a beautiful Greblon coating non-stick inner layer in a honeycomb structure. Here’s best-n-class technology for your cooking speed and pleasure.
 Instructions:
Heat the oil and butter in your non-stick frying pan together. Keep it on a medium low flame to avoid burning the butter. The combination of the two gives you the perfect texture you’re looking for.
Separately whisk the eggs in a bowl, add all ingredients except onions, ginger garlic paste, green chilli, red chilli flakes, and coriander.
Once the oil is hot, add the onion and sauté until onions turn translucent.
Add green chillies, ginger and garlic and fry until onion is slightly browned.
Now, add the egg mixture on a medium flame and keep stirring the eggs on medium low heat for about 3 mins or until just slightly runnier than your preferred consistency. Turn off heat and bring out the rusk. Remember, the eggs will continue to cook in the residual heat of the pan.
So, if you like soft bhurji, cook the eggs just until set. If you like perfectly cooked bhurji, then cook until eggs are nicely cooked.
Add coriander and mix well.
Serve hot on rusk/toast.
 Notes:
Coriander leaves are added only at the end to retain their fresh flavour in your meal.
Also whisking the eggs separately in the bowl before adding in the pan makes sure the eggs scramble perfectly.
You can cook the egg bhurji to the consistency you like. To make a creamy version of it, add some fresh cream, mayonnaise, and grated cheese once the Bhurji is cooked and mix everything well.
Can add chopped capsicums, mushrooms, or peas.
Adjust the amount of chilli and spices according to your taste.
For more fluffy eggs, add in a little milk while whisking the eggs.
It is very similar to Akuri, a Parsi breakfast dish but Akuri is runnier as compared to Bhurji.
The honeycomb structure of this fabulous non-stick frying pan allows you to even use a metal spatula giving your Frypan five times the life of any other…simply the best.
 4. Egg & Vegetable Rice Bowl
 Ingredients:
1 packet of pre-cooked rice/ leftover rice from the fridge
2 eggs
Salt to taste
100g frozen mixed vegetables (chopped) or
1 carrot (chopped)
1 tomato (chopped)
1 capsicum (chopped)
20g of sweet corn
Stahl Tip: With Stahl’s Triply technology, neither will the dish be greasy, nor will it be a messy task to clean up after. Our Artisan Frypan from Stahl’s Triply Artisan series comes with a lid and is the perfect companion to make magic in your kitchen.
 Instructions:
Heat a little oil in your Triply steel Frypan. Add the vegetables and salt and cook for a couple of minutes. Add the rice and cook until warmed through, stirring continuously. Remove the rice and vegetables from the Frypan into a bowl.
Add a little more oil to the pan and fry the eggs until cooked through.
Divide the rice between two bowls and add a fried egg on top of each.
Voila, you have a healthy, delicious, wholesome meal that’s ready to be attacked.
Now that you know how you can save time and rustle up a quick meal using Stahl’s ingenious cookware, what are you waiting for? Try them out and tell us about your culinary experiments. In fact, if you have a personal five-minute recipe, do share with us too!

Top 5 Kitchen Must-Haves for Every Home Chef
Tumblr media
What does it mean to be a home chef? A home chef is a superhuman who is taking care of home duties while also working passionately on making cooking and catering a career. While the rest of us get the chance to ‘escape’ or ‘delegate’ responsibilities at home while we work or go to office, most home chefs will tell you that it is not an option for them. In fact, that is how they have discovered their passion for food- after making loving meals for the family day in- day out for years.
COVID-19 made hobby cooks and home chefs out of many men and women. Whether it was the excitement of cooking new cuisines for the restaurant-craving family or questioning of life’s priorities that shifted these people towards cooking, many have taken the plunge of making careers out of their passion.
When you start out, it’s convenient to use the same cookware that you use for your family for your home-chef venture too. But as you scale up and get creative, you need kitchen tools that can keep up!
We have rounded up the 6 coolest must-haves for a home chef that are super versatile and gorgeous at the same time.
1.      Detachable Handle + Tasla
As a home chef, you’d agree that kitchen space is a big constraint. Until you can shift to a big, commercial kitchen, it’s best to use the space that you have smartly. The Tasla Kadhai makes so much sense for a home chef! Mainly because while you might require many sizes of Kadhais for your cooking, Kadhais with handles are not always stackable. Stahl Tasla Kadhais are made to be perfectly stackable inside each other, making them the perfect choice for creative cooks who like to have cookware but also save space. But how would you use them as a wok, you ask? The detachable handle is the perfect accessory to go with the Tasla. It is heat proof, easy to store, sturdy and transforms the humble Tasla into a wok instantly. Smart, isn’t it?
2.      Dutch Oven/Casserole
A seasoned expert like a home chef would know that slow cooking is the ultimate form of luxury when it comes to food. Be it slow cooked meat or slow cooked Dal Makhani, there’s nothing to beat the luscious taste of something that’s been cooking on low heat for hours. Most chefs would tell you about the one or two pieces of cookware that they passionately possess and don’t let anyone else touch, let alone use. Often you would find that a cast iron frypan or Dutch oven is a part of that repertoire. A Dutch Oven is a saucepot with thick walls that has a lid that fits it snugly. It is used for braising, slow cooking and can be put into the oven too. This cookware allows you to make one pot dishes, biryanis, sourdough bread and a host of other luxurious dishes that are not only delicious but also truly memorable. In short, it is a must have for any home chef. Want a more convenient version of the saucepot? Try the Triply Casserole from Stahl. It doesn’t need seasoning, is thick enough for slow cooking, braising and pretty much all you would wish to do in the Dutch oven. And isn’t as time consuming to maintain as its cast iron!
3.      Versatil Pressure Cooker
Saying a pressure cooker is essential for any kitchen is like saying food tastes better with salt. As a home chef, you might prefer one of the many kinds of pressure cookers. The traditional pressure cooker is always an excellent choice and most kitchens in India own one or more of these. Stahl’s Stainless Steel Triply Pressure Cookers are the slightly modern take to the traditional pressure cooker, given that they cook much faster, evenly, and healthier than their peers. Then there also are those who might prefer instant pots. But have you considered the clasp-on type of pressure cookers? They are gorgeous, robust, and extremely versatile. They double up as a pan and Stahl’s Versatil Cooker also comes with a glass lid that enables steaming. They can be used on induction, gas stove and can also be washed in the dishwasher. As a home chef, you might want to buy the bigger (5-liter pressure cooker) variants to make larger quantities for your clients.
4.      Mikro Frypan and Saucepan
Chances are that if you are a home chef, you are also using social media to spread awareness about your business and get more clients. Recipes and food related content is extremely popular across channels like Instagram and YouTube and for that, you need to stock up on pretty looking cookware that is also practical to use in the kitchen. The Mikro series of frypans and saucepans are absolutely adorable to serve in and because they are triply, they can be cooked with too! At home, you can use it to serve dips and salsa or use it to make single servings of eggs and tea. What’s better for a home chef than cookware that not just looks good but is high in utility too?
5.      Hybrid Frypan
There are several reasons why you should choose a hexa-ridge technology stick resistant pan if you are a home chef. Firstly, they are extremely durable. Unlike regular non-stick coated pans, you do not have to worry about using a wooden spatula in these frypans. You can easily use regular metal spoons or spatulas without worrying about the coating coming off. Secondly, although they need to be seasoned, over time they perform just as beautifully as a non-stick frypan with the added advantage of a longer life. And the third reason why home chefs should own a Hybrid Frypan is because it is made in triply stainless steel with 0% contact with aluminum. Triply ensures that your food is cooked faster and uses 20% lesser oil than your other cookware.
Home chefs need a wide variety of cookware to help them fulfill orders from clients. You would often find yourself cooking an exotic variety of foods at any given time. Your cookware must keep up with your creative hands. Your pots and pans need to be at the very least versatile, easy-to-maintain, and ergonomic. Look for smart time and space saving solutions in your kitchen to make it a more functional and high-utility space.
Did you know that buying on Stahl’s website also lets you
personalize your cookware

Heat oil in a pressure     cooker over high heat. Once hot add mustard seeds and allow to splutter.     Reduce heat to medium and add cumin seeds, hing and curry leaves. Fry for     30 seconds.
Add chopped onions and     saute for 1 minute or until fragrant. Add the red chilli paste and fry     until the raw aroma goes, approximately 2-3 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes     and misal masala and stir to combine. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the     tomatoes have softened and the oil separates.
Add mixed sprouts and mix     to combine. Add water and salt and stir until well mixed. Cover the lid of     the pressure cooker and seal with the whistle. Cook on high heat till the     1st whistle and then reduce the flame to low and cook for another 10     minutes. Once done, turn off the flame and allow the pressure to release     naturally.
Remove the whistle and     lid of the pressure cooker. Turn on the flame to a medium, add jaggery and     mix to combine. Bring it to a boil and turn off the flame.
Add chopped coriander leaves and some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir to combine. Serve hot along with some pav or poha, chopped onion and top it off with some farsaan!
