Thoughts about Alastor after the episode "Hello, Rosie"
Perhaps first such a small summary for those who haven't read my previous posts about Alastor.
Alastor's deal with someone has worked out. Officially we don't know with whom, but my theory is that it is Lilith.
Alastor is obliged by the contract probably to help/protect Charlie. His intentions are not clear, and he harbours many secrets.
He is not fond of Lucifer. Theories are that he either sees him as a threat to Charlie's hotel and dreams, or he is redirecting negative emotions about his own father and how Lucifer treated Charlie onto him.
Alastor enjoys being in the company of women and probably likes/appreciates Charlie. Perhaps he sees himself as her mentor.
His help, although chaotic and initially incomprehensible seems to be having an effect and actually helping the hotel and Charlie.
Alastor has a weakness for jazz and alcohol, but we don't see him ever drinking alcohol in the series.
His enemy is Vox, but he is more annoyed by Lucifer (probably because he is stronger than him).
Alastor doesn't like to lose or be wrong.
Here you have a link to previous thoughts if you are curious.
Alastor’s true motivations? - Why is he helping Charlie?
Dad beat Dad - Alastor, what the hell are you doing?
Traditionally, there are loads of spoilers here!
From the outset, Alastor seems interested/intrigued by Charlie sitting in the room and spinning another plan. Clearly he saw an opportunity in. Charlie was alone, so he could talk to her in peace. A plan was already forming in his head.
On Instagram, one girl made a fair analysis of Alastor's facial expressions. What expression on his face signifies what emotion. Which proved to be very helpful in understanding him! Here you have ig: @/sasha_draws.bg She did a really great job! But back to Alastor.
When Alastor feels some negative emotion, lines/wrinkles appear under his eyes. Which is true when you pay attention to the previous episodes, but in this 'Hello, Rosie' it is particularly noticeable.
For most of the time in this episode, Alastor seemed concerned to me.
When Alastor was talking to Charlie I had the impression that he was provoking her. He made Charlie painfully aware of how badly her plans had failed, which seems cruel. Initially this could be understood as simply an opportunity to take advantage of Charlie and make a deal, but I think this is just an added benefit. Alastor is bound by his contract to the hotel and Charlie, so he can't leave her. But Alastor has besides made Charlie realise that she can't idly brood on the bed because she doesn't have that luxury. Her friends were waiting for a plan, they were waiting for Charlie.
Charlie gave up at that point, and Alastor made her realise that there was still a chance to make things right somehow. He exasperated her, and showed her that she couldn't give up - in a rather cruel way but still, it's not always kind words or words of support that help you up.
Sometimes the painful realisation of the truth is the best motivator to undertake change.
For a moment, Alastor seemed annoyed that Charlie thought she had him figured out because she smiles all the time. He made her realise that the opposite is true.
A smile can be a weapon on many fronts. You could say that he gave Charlie some cue about his own behaviour. His lecture about smiling shows a lot about him.
Alastor hides a lot - his emotions, motivations or goals. He revealed to Charlie that he himself puts on a mask. The smile gives Alastor a sense of control.
The question is, isn't Alastor also lying to himself in this way?
He is creating himself as a cruel overlord, a person without a conscience who inflicts suffering on others for fun. It makes me wonder if he hasn't started to believe himself in the character he wants to pretend to be?
Nevertheless, no matter how good Alastor's goals may be attributed to him, or that his actions have a good effect on the hotel and Charlie, he still made a deal with her. He was aware that Charlie would not give up her soul to him and would not do anything against herself. Their deal is that Charlie is to help him like friend to friend when he needs it without hurting anyone, and he will give her information. Quite a specific arrangement and very narrow. To me their deal is a bit of a lifeline for Alastor when he finds himself trapped by his own contract.
[As an aside, I've noticed that a lot of people think that the stitches appearing on Alastor's lips are a sign that he can't talk about his deal. I doubt this because of the design of his character. Alastor was shown at many points to be dealing with voodoo or somehow connected to it. This is indicated by the green symbols that appear when he uses his powers, and the stitching that appears on his mouth probably refers to the very design of the voodoo dolls, which also had their mouths stitched in this way. Ironically in my opinion, voodoo is generally good magic, focusing on healing or helping, which doesn't really fit Alastor. Unless one considers the distinction between white and black magic as it is known in New Orleans. But I also point out that I'm not an expert, but I'm just partly familiar with the subject of voodoo and just wanted to show a reference to Alastor's appearance here].
I think Alastor's worry or uncertainty is most evident when he leads Charlie to Rossie. You can see the look on his face and those wrinkles under his eyes. This could be interpreted as:
he's upset that the angels are about to exterminate in the hotel and the only person who can oppose it is preoccupied with his love problems rather than more important matters.
He is upset/worried that he realises he won't be able to help Charlie this time, so he leads her to the only person who is more knowledgeable about love than him: Rossie.
He is nervous because he sees that he might fail if the hotel is destroyed, and that this might somehow breach his contract.
Alastor and Rossie seem to have a very intimate relationship, which was implied in the episode " Scrambled Eggs" when they were at the Overlords meeting. Now we have confirmation that they are very close friends. Rossie can afford a lot in Alastor's company and he allows her to do so. It also seemed to me that when he met Rossie he relaxed a bit, as the wrinkles under his eyes disappeared for a few scenes.
All in all, I'm not surprised that Alastor and Rossie are friends.
Rossie is the opposite of Alastor in a way. She seems transparent in her feelings and genuinely cares about her cannibals. But she also has the strength and power to allow herself to do so. Alastor, on the other hand, plays and hides emotions all the time, and gains power through fear. Despite this, he gets along very well with Rossie, which may mean he's not quite what he makes himself out to be.
I also think that Rossie's words about it being actions that show true nature and feelings may apply to Alastor and his role in season two in the future. But we can already see this now, for example, in the fact that his duet with Lucifer, where Alastor sang that he wanted to replace Charlie's father, ultimately led to a reconciliation between daughter and father which Alastor seemed to be happy with.
We also have it made clear that Alastor is asexual.
Rossie commented that Alastor could learn manners from Charlie. It is possible that what is meant is that when someone annoys Alastor, he does not mince his words. He makes his opinion clear - Susan is a perfect example of this.
Alastor and Rossie really seem close to each other, such as when they look at each other when Charlie panics, or how they dance with each other or their negativity towards Susan. Additionally, Alastor must have had a close business relationship with Rossie since she had an assignment for him and when she said that he never let her down. I got the impression that this gave him considerable satisfaction. Plus it helped the image he wanted to create for Charlie - that he was reliable.
Alastor also seems to put his faith in Charlie after all. Rather than believing in her plan of salvation for sinners, he believes more in the girl's ability to draw crowds and motivate people to action other than through fear or deals. It is hard to say whether he admires this trait of Charlie's, but he certainly appreciates her for it.
Alastor supported Charlie during her song when she had to convince the cannibals to fight - either by giving her the microphone or showing her a thumbs up. I further related that he was slightly worried/nervous, but also pleased after seeing his actions bear fruit.
Alastor also made it clear to Rossie that he valued Charlie and expected nothing less from her than to thrill the crowds. But the important thing is that he referred to her as the Princess of Hell, not Charlie. Alastor has made it clear for the first time that he wants to fulfil Charlie's potential, this shows that despite the faith he has in her, he still only sees her as the Princess of Hell and not Charlie as someone who is more than just a princess.
A break for now, as it's quite late at my place, so expect the rest of the analysis tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow at the furthest.

Looking at saved photos of him...
pairing: om! brothers x reader
summary: the bros find you reacting to something on your phone. a huge smile, blushing, covering your mouth, or muttering things to yourself. they would've never guessed you were looking at them
note: whenever i see my fave boys, especially mammon, i think about how they'd react so i made this
Lucifer
remember. he is pride personified.
sure it's not an arrogant pride, more so stubborness
but!! in this case? oh yeah he knows he's hot shit and he couldn't be happier
funniest part is that the mfer usually has a smug and calm look on his face so when he's thinking about how you were just grinning over photos of him it doesn't really show to others
Mammon
he's boasting...
instantly in the HoL group chat he's going on and on about how he's better
how you ramble on and on over just looking at photos of him
he WILL NOT stfu about it... unless one of his stronger brothers makes him (lucifer or satan specifically)
would start sending you pictures of him at modeling jobs
Leviathan
oh he's flustered and confused
how could you blush over a smelly, bastard, gross otaku like him
and then he hears how sweetly you talk about him and he just gets more flustered and embarrassed
going over some of the pictures with him? maybe you'll build his confidence a bit
although im certain he'd still be fumbling his words and in awe at how you see him and love him
he's going to cherish this for a long time
Satan
he is his father's daughter son.
by that i mean to say that he's prideful about it but he's not focused on him and it being a natural fact like luci
and it's not bc out of all his brothers you're reacting like this about him like mamo or levi
nah this is him being better than lucifer. this is about you seeing him for him. this is about loving him from cute cat pics, rage and handsome
Asmodeus
it's worse than lucifer... mainly because he lives and breathes the reality that he is the most gorgeous thing in all the three realms
would constantly tease you over it
anytime you simply glance at him? "take a picture, darling. it'll last longer." (affectionate)
and me? personally? i'd wanna wipe the smirk off of his face
but for the folks who are in love with him?? you take multiple pictures instantly which he poses for ofc
you now receive every selfie he takes before he posts it on devilgram
Beelzebub
doesn't think much of it but is very happy about it
seeing you happy makes him happy, he's simple like that
at the same time he is very emotional intuitive, so he knows that when you swoon over the pictures it's more too it than his looks
hell the photos and your muttered words say it too, and he actually holds onto how sweet it all is
really makes his day that he's more than just brawn or someone who eats a lot to you...
he feels warm inside when you say he's your baby
Belphgor
he can look like he doesn't care, he can sound like it
but know for sure he's teasing you
and that teasing is the only way he can actually tell you he wants you to look at him more
being the baby, the seventh, and the least active/present brother he demands and needs the attention
might be sweet and smile at you more when you lock eyes, or just when he sees you... maybe even smiles in his sleep when hearing your voice or sensing your presence
i feel like he'd tease you if he catches you staring at him one day by saying "take a picture it'll last longer" (derogatory)
but please take pictures of him, he appreciates the attention

I know it's been a minute since Hazbin dropped and I'm late to the hate train but I have things I want to say, so I shall.
First off, the whole thing makes absolutely no fucking sense, conceptually. There is really no good way to execute this batshit idea of Lucifer having a daughter and that daughter deciding to start a fucking hotel in Hell to redeem sinners so they can go to Heaven. Also, the culling shit with the angels showing up to just kill already dead souls for no reason also makes no sense and there really isn't any way to make it make sense.
Secondly, when making yet another piece of media inspired by Christian canon, even if it is Christianity and you hate the religion, you absolutely have to know the source material before you go fucking with it. That's why, for example, Dogma is such a good movie but this series falls flat even though both are comedic critiques of Christianity - Dogma understands the subject well enough to criticize it intelligently whereas Hazbin feels like it was conceptualized and made by someone who only watched like two episodes of Veggie Tales and otherwise knows jack shit about the religion. Throwing Lilith in there is worse because she isn't even in Christianity and it has the same vibes as when CCD classes host a Passover Seder by and for a bunch of gentiles to 'teach' about what Jesus was up to when he was around. It's just so disrespectful. Actually, that's what it is - the creators learned everything they know about Christianity, Heaven, and Hell from Tumblr posts which is definitely why she's in there.
If they knew more about the thing they're trying to make a whole ass show about, Adam and Eve wouldn't have been angels, there would be no hotel because you could just have the creation of Purgatory instead or, at the very least, some take on the harrowing of Hell and salvation of the virtuous pagans in Limbo. Also, even if you don't want to touch the Bible because it's icky (and I mean yeah), all you had to do was read like Dante's Inferno and peep the Ars Goetia and then actually make a structured Hell with a hierarchy and everything. I think kinda like what Rachel Smythe did with the worldbuilding in Lore Olympus, they wanted to modernize Hell for some reason, so the turf war/mafia type shit was supposed to replace a stronger hierarchy of Hell with princes and dukes and presidents and such, but I fucking hate it and there's no goddamn structure.
More importantly, the worldbuilding of Hell itself completely misses the fucking point of Hell as a thing. Hell is there both to contain Satan and the fallen angels who joined him in that uprising thing that one time and also to serve as a place where sinners go when they die and are punished for their sins. We never see even once any sort of actual system for sorting all these souls and punishing them for their sins. On the contrary, characters like Angel Dust appear to get to do drugs for the rest of their immortal lives and, since they're dead, it's not like those are going to kill them so it really doesn't read like a punishment. The closest we get to actual punishments are when the sinners/demons have gone and made deals that give other residents of Hell control over them, like how Husk is under Alastor's control and then Alastor apparently also has some kind of deal screwing him over, and Angel's situation with shitty boa dude is pretty similar too. It feels like they did the extermination shit to replace punishment in Hell along with these deals we see here and there, which is utterly fucking ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense.
The other thing I'd add kind of going off that is that Heaven in this series also makes literally no fucking sense. It's actually also the biggest issue I have with Good Omens that it makes NO SENSE for the angels to have no clue what God's plan is or, in this case, how souls even get into Heaven. The whole fucking point is that there's an entire, nicely structured hierarchy for exactly this. Seraphim, cherubim, and thrones are all closest to God, so they can get the info from Them and pass it to the lower ranks. Hell, this could even be how you get problems, like you make it a bit of a gimmick that Heaven runs on a massive game of telephone. It also could've been a way to have some really cool variety in character design, so maybe some of the higher ranking angels look like the weird biblical shit with all the eyes and fire and they get progressively more normal as you go down the hierarchy. Instead, they picked like three recognizable names, made them into pretty people with wings and potentially also stupid Homestuck looking masks, and threw them in our face while just refusing to actually bother with worldbuilding or character design.
That brings me to the third thing which is that, when doing a series like this based on something like Christianity, you really have to sit down and figure out what kind of God your Christian God in your series is going to be, even if They never show up on screen. Is this God distant and neglectful and that's how all this shit is happening? Or do we have the wrathful God of the Israelites who regularly exterminates Hell out of pure sadistic rage? Or do we have a weak God on the verge of death who is barely present out of necessity while the angels take advantage of that absence and run amok? And it's not even just that determining what kind of God is supposed to be the God of this series would inform why stuff happens like it does, it would also help the writers to have a sense of direction and motive for what happens.
The writing in the show is all over the fucking place and figuring out what kind of God this God is meant to be is the very first question they should've asked themselves and it would've prevented most of the problems that currently exist in the show. If we had that, then maybe we wouldn't have weird shit with Lucifer where he very much does not feel like he's the devil at all and also Charlie is supposed to have daddy issues but then he shows up and is just a really adoring and supportive dad so that doesn't make sense. If we had that, then maybe Hell would have a fucking structure because we would actually have the motive behind Hell itself and why it exists. If we had that, then maybe we could get into the nitty gritty of the ethical/theological complexities of Hell and how, no matter how you slice it, it's really God's will at the end of the day so we could get a whole debate over if Lucifer is even evil or if God is just controlling and sadistic and all that. If we had that then maybe we could even have some reveal about how sin isn't even a concrete thing and the true nature of Hell is that it's a place people choose to go when they die because they don't feel worthy of salvation and they feel in their soul that they need to be punished. Anything, really.
Fourth is that it really, really shouldn't be a musical series. The pacing fucking sucks and they overexplain everything and I just feel like if you took all the time spent on shitty musical numbers and instead put it into showing, not telling, and also developing characters and relationships, it could be a lot better. If there was more time for shit, then maybe Charlie could not be a Mary Sue and Vaggie could have a personality and Angel could be an actual fucking character that isn't just an animated twink with trauma who gets off on violating people's boundaries. Also, I just really didn't like most of the songs in the series (outside the series they're fine) and I skipped a lot of those scenes.
Fifth and final is that it really just wasn't funny. A lot of the stuff that was supposed to be funny was just excessive swearing that felt completely unnatural, like that tiktok going around of that girl saying the n word. If you're bothering to do a whole series set in Hell that's ostensibly about Christianity, then why tf aren't you leaning more into biting criticism of Christianity for your humor? If they'd just gone full Dogma with this, it would've been so much better but no.
So yeah, it fucking sucked and so did the character design.

The inconstancy/misuse of the powers in HH/HB
(especially in "Oops")
In regards to the episode "Oops" of Helluva Boss and in general I just wanna say that I genuinely don't understand the misuse of the power levels in Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel. The strongest forces in Hell are the seven deadly sins and after that comes the Royalty and after that the overlords. Then the sinners and the Hellborn are the weakest from my understanding.
There are however some instances in the show which just don't make sense, considering the power system. Like, Charlie is the daughter of the most powerful demon in the whole of hell and troughout the show she just doesn't do anything at all. We are to assume that she has a lot of power still. Technically she should be the second strongest demon in hell. Maybe you could say, that she isn't used to her powers and is somewhat inexperienced and young, but she should still be atleast on the same level of strength as the weakest deadly sin, or Stolas I guess.
But all she does is sit around. I know she isn't the confrontational type and is actually quite the pacifist sometimes, still there are moments where she could use her powers to help her plan or just something. She never tries to protect the Hotel when people like Sir Pentious or the guys who were after Mimzy attack, thats always Alastors Job, even though one could guess that she'd be stronger than him if she would make use of her powers. Maybe she could even protect the demons from Alastor, because mindlessly killing random demons is sort of the opposite of what she wanted to accomplish (but apparently she's just fine with that? This goes back to her not being really well defined at all).
When she sees someone who she consideres her friend (Angel) get abused and harassed by someone, she doesn't do anything to help him. Maybe threaten Valentino or just use her high status to do anything. But nothing comes from her.
In the final episode it's also Alastor who has to fight Adam before Lucifer showes up. Charlie puts up a good fight when she finally decides to move but it just showes us all her potential which is never used.
This ignoring of power is so much worse in "Oops" though. The plot is that Asmodeus can't save Fizz from Crimson because of stupid, artificial reasoning. The first thing that is said is that Asmodeus is the weakest sin, which is fine but it doesn't change the fact that he could still just beat up everybody there. Like yeah he might be the weakest but he's still a SIN. He's stronger than Stolas and definitely a hundred times stronger than some random imp without special assisment.
I saw someone say that Ozzie probably sold away a lot of his power, since he often doesn't read the contracts he singes which is a nice theory but I don't consider it, since it's not mentioned in the episode. And even if he signed away more than half of his power, he should still be so much stronger than Crimson. Crimson is just an Imp and we see his group get taken out by Blitzø and Fizzarolli (one Imp with just a knife and one who can't even really fight) so the show can't even mention Ozzies power level as if it's an actual reason for why he can't do anything. We also see that he's still able to stand up to Mammon confidently in the later episode so he obviously is still VERY strong.
Another excuse they try to pull is with the legal documents he has to sign to give him some conflict and a time limit. But that's stupid too, since we know Ozzie can make Portals. He could just teleport there, take Crimson and his Imps out and be back with Fizz and Blitzø in a second. Also, Stolas is there too and he can turn demons into stone just by looking at them. Why doesn't he just do that to the lawyer guy? Then they don't have to sign and could just leave. I mean it's not as if the lawyer should even be an obstacle to Ozzie or Stolas.
The fact that Asmodeus apparently cares so much for his Partner but never thinks about any of this. At the start of the episode he's literally so worried about even the idea of Fizzarolli going to the greed ring without him and still he'd rather sit there and fill out some documents for a guy he could easily beat any second than to save his Partner who could be in ACTUAL life threatening danger!? The same goes for Stolas who we know can tell when Blitzø is in danger (from the episode truth seekers) but never has that instinct to save him here, even when Blitzø is captured too.
It's also just funny that for a place like hell, which we are constantly reminded of as this place without rules and people that care about a government, there's still that apparent necessity to completely follow Crimson's demands and the arbitrary rules he set. Especially for Asmodeus who is one of the strongest leading forces in hell, to just do whatever a random Imp wants, someone who is so many ranks under him (literally the second to last rank in hells society) is just indescribably stupid. Isn't he the one who could just make new rules? Or just decide that he doesn't want to follow certain ones, since in hell apparently no one follows a lot of rules anyways so why is it presented as if he can't do anything.
That's the thing I disliked most about "Oops" because it's so clear that they just had to make something up because they wrote themselves into a corner with Asmodeus and Stolas being so strong. There are probably more moments like this in both shows. Another one I can think of is that Stolas never helped I.M.P out in any of their missions, even though he can tell when Blitzø is in danger and would be a great help to get them out of situations. Obviously this is only brought up in one episode, because they didn't know how to resolve the conflict and then it just disappeares because it would make a lot of struggles in episodes feel weightless since Stolas can just save the Imps from any danger.
It's just another thing Vivzepop brings up and then drops. The inconstancy in these shows (in Helluva boss even more than in Hazbin) is actually annoying and makes episodes so much harder to watch.

What about Cas? pt. 1
I love when Sam and Dean fight and the reason why they fight is Cas. I love it for two main reasons.
One, Dean's quick-fire brain is at its best in these instances. One mention of Cas and Dean goes all pew-pew-pew on basically anybody and everybody calls his bluff. Crowley, of course, knew. Even Naomi knew. Lucifer fucking knew it. Well, everybody but Sam.
Two, these fights conveniently happen when Sam is going through his own shit (and doesn't know how to deal with it) to care about his brother's emotional state, making it even more painfully obvious that he severely lacks emotional intelligence/recognition skills. It's "Sam knows and doesn't know" at its best.
I've talked about how the "It’s not an “it,” Sam. It’s Cas" scene in s11 is an interesting example of Dean's rhetoric skills: that man can be on the losing side and still win an argument without breaking a sweat. Sam, on the other hand, not so much. He has a tendency to hyperfocus on one thing and lose sight of the plethora of other things he might need to be looking at.
As a consequence, Dean looks like the one with the heart, the one who cares, the one who's right, while Sam looks shallow, cold and even callous. However, as I've written multiple times, it's a matter of skills, therefore of abilities. Of what one can and the other can't.
So what about Cas?
"What about Cas?" is the first thing Sam says in "Lost and Found" to try and address what happened outside that cabin. With the unmistakable Sam's mark of elegant tact (I love him, he is me) he goes "What about Cas? Is he - is he really dead?" after they've just seen their friend getting skewered by Lucifer in front of their very eyes. To be fair to him, Cas has that thing, you know, that thing that he dies and then comes back. Plus, Sam's sense of what's real and what's not is... something to talk about. However, my heart feels for his total inability to read the room, or, well, the Impala: only 5 seconds before Dean couldn't even say the words "Cas is dead" ("Crowley’s dead, Kelly’s dead, Cas is—") and the best thing Sam can come up with is "Hey Dean, what do you think? Is Cas REALLY DEAD, UH?". Oh, Sam.
Throughout the episode Sam's still unsure whether Cas is permadead or not: at first he's got doubts, then Dean tells him that that's final. So he confirms Cas' death to Jack. However, when they're about to make the pyre for his body, Sam has some second thoughts: maybe they can bring him back. Dean is peremptory: "No we can't".
In "The Rising Son" Sam and Dean have a minor fight over Jack and his powers because he accidentally hurt the tattoo artist:
Sam: It was a reflex. He didn’t do it on purpose. Dean: Who cares if he didn’t do it on purpose? He did it. I mean, you didn’t see Cas smiting someone every time he got his teeth cleaned. Jack: I’m right here, you know. Dean: Yeah, and what about the vanishing tattoo? Donatello: An archangel healed himself. Sam: Another reflex. Dean: Or maybe he didn’t want to be warded. Sam: Okay, look, yeah, Jack is on Lucifer’s family tree. But we don’t know if that DNA is stronger than Kelly’s, or his connection with Cas. Dean: Oh, you mean the connection that got Cas killed?
I like this dialogue because, once again just like that scene in S11 that I've linked above, Dean's laying his cards on the table. A Crowley or a Lucifer wouldn't have missed that. Sam does.
Dean's the one who's brought Cas up. He explicitily (and unfairly) compares Jack with Cas. Jack hurt people while Cas, his Cas, wouldn't (Oh, Dean you're so wrong my precious baby boy, Cas would hurt people and he's actually done so multiple times and you know it: power imbalance between humans and angels is just what it is, on purpose or not, it's a fact). Dean's also the one who recognizes Jack's real "problem", i.e. he's also an angel, an extremely powerful one at that and his power's an issue.
Sam, however, is the one who brings Lucifer up. He acknowledges Jack's connection with him, Kelly and Cas. Big, BIG mistake. Sam unwittingly turns the knife in Dean's wound, although Dean's mention of Cas before was a huge red flag that Sam completely missed.
This might just be my interpretation but I think that Dean's unconscious eagerness to bring Cas up in any argument reveals his desire to talk about what happened, to vent his anger, to test the waters and see if Sam's on the same page as he is. He's not.
And I think Sam's got a right to be on a different page because this is what S12 was all about: while Dean had found his closure with Mary and had started to see himself as Cas' partner (I've talked about this in my spn s12 tags), Sam's still very much behind. He didn't put in the effort with Mary while Eileen, the one person outside of family Sam's got a connection with (excluding Rowena whom he doesn't trust yet) got brutally murdered by Ketch. Sam and Dean can't possibly be on the same page. Supernatural teaches us that when connections break things are bound to explode.
The dialogue continues:
Sam: I’m just saying, Jack doesn’t have to be evil. We can teach him not to be. [...] Donatello: Oh. Speaking not as a prophet but as a scientist, I don’t think teaching him is in the cards. It’s like asking a lion not to be a lion. Sam: But this is not a lion! This is a human! Donatello: With a strong dose of God juice. Dean: Okay, that’s it. I’m done, all right? ‘Cause he’s not God, he’s not Cas, he’s not Simba. He’s the friggin’ Devil!
That's it, Dean's done. The reason? Jack is not Cas. He throws that "he's not Cas" right in the middle, suspiciously hiding the importance of his statement: the techinque is so blatant that, as it turns out, he couldn't be clearer.
Talking on being on the same page:
Sam: Point is… if you and I are gonna do this, keep Jack on the right side of things, then—then we have to be on the same page. Dean: Okay. Well, that’s the problem, though, Sam, ‘cause we’re not on the same page. Like, at all. Sam: All right. You know what? I know what’s going on here. Dean: Oh. Okay. Well, please, tell me, what’s going on here? Sam: You thinking mom is gone and Cas is gone, and that Jack can’t be saved. Dean, after everything we’ve gone through… We just lost people we love, people who have been in our lives for a long time. Everything’s upside-down. I get it. But we’ve been down before. I mean, rock bottom. And we find a way. We fix it because that’s what we do. And Jack w—wants to do the right thing. Jack’s scared to death of who he is, and he’s scared of you.
As I've said, Dean had tested the waters to see if he and Sam were on the same page but he quickly realizes they're not. Sam claims that he knows what's going on and Dean sort of dares him to spill the beans. Poor Sam is wrong againg because the "you" in "you thinking that..." is actually him, not Dean. Sam's projecting his own fears onto Dean (Is Mom gone? Will I ever have a connection with her? Can Jack be saved? Is Cas really gone?). He starts and ends his little speech with that "you" but he clearly doesn't get what Dean's deal is.
Dean's deal is not just whether he thinks Cas and Mary are really gone and Jack can or can't be saved. Dean's deal is about what happened before Cas died and, more specifically, about what didn't happen. He'll reveal his cards, like he always does because that's what Dean does, he wears his heart on his sleeve, in the following episode.

Okay so hear me out what if when a soul went to heaven, they would still remember a majority of their previous life while other memories would be forgotten almost instantaneously. However, the longer they exist in heaven, the more they will inevitably forget until they can only remember the basics of their past. Like they know who they are, but they're not sure how they exactly became that person.
I like to think that if this were the case, some memories would vanish faster than others in order to make it easier for the soul to be happy and move on with their (after)life. Like the more traumatic memories would be erased from their mind while the happier memories would linger. And to some extent I feel like this would also pertain to people they knew as well. For example, say they had a lot of happy memories with someone who went to hell instead of heaven. Well the good news is they won't remember them for long! /sar
It would actually be so messed up if this were the case like they just wouldn't remember the person one day. Even though they would still know that they must have been close to someone in their life on Earth, but whenever they try to remember they just end up with a headache. So, they decide it must not be that important anyways.
I feel like in that case the only way this effect would be reversed is if the winner/angel was directly face to face with the person they had previously forgotten about, which is unlikely considering how closed off heaven is to hell. Which would also make sense why Sera isn't exactly thrilled with the idea of sinners being redeemed because well wouldn't that just be another way of showing how unperfect heaven actually is. Instead, of them treating the problem, they simply hide it. Sounds familiar, right?
Anyways I want you all to imagine this happening to Adam. Imagine him coming up to heaven, and as the first human soul to enter, he was sort of a heaven's guinea pig leading to the effects being stronger on him than it would be on others since at that time heaven wasn't exactly fine tuned for a human soul to exist there. So, instead of having most of his memories in tact, he basically has none. He doesn't really remember Eden or what went down there. He knows he's the first man and that he lived there at one point before something bad happened, but that's basically it.
He doesn't remember his first or second wife nor does he remember Lucifer much less how he was betrayed by him because honestly, there's no doubt in my mind that these two knew each other and were at the bare minimum friends back in Eden before everything went down. I like to think he doesn't even really remember much of his life outside of Eden. Cain and Abel, who? He just remembers that his life had been better in Eden then it was outside of it.
With his lack of memory as to who he is, he's stuck grappling with the little he does know. Which would justify why he holds onto the title of the first man so hard throughout the series. Because in the beginning that's all he had. Anything else he knew about himself was told to him by Sera and the other angels. Of course, this would lead to him feeling unsure of what to do with his afterlife, and very much like before in Eden he was mainly left alone to just stumble and learn things for himself.
The lack of supervision didn't do much good for him, and I can imagine he was feeling quite lonely not having any other human souls to interact with. It made him feel alienated, and left him with time to wonder about all the things he must have forgotten because he knows he had people he loved back down on earth. Knows there's so much of himself missing that he has no hopes of recovering. It leaves him frustrated and what should be paradise feels like a prison.
Honestly, he might have ended up going crazy if it weren't for him discovering music, and using it to express himself even when he had no one to really share it with. Until one day he was playing a random string instrument and then there was suddenly clapping, and that's how he met the second human soul to ever enter heaven. He instantly clung to their presence, and probably would have hoarded them all to himself if it weren't for Sera and the other seraphim showing up.
When he first saw the angels again, his first instinct was to cling to the other soul for some reason. His body just kind of reacting on its own as if angels had taken someone away from him before. He didn't let go of the other human soul until Sera reassured them, that this soul would be staying in heaven with him. However, even then he didn't stray far from the other's side, but Sera simply moved on.
In celebration for the second human soul finally making it to heaven, the angels gave him the privilege of naming what human souls would be called once they entered heaven, explaining to him how he had been in charge of naming all the animals in Eden beforehand. And when they told him this, he couldn't deny how right that sounded. It brought warmth to his soul to have this little piece of himself back. He felt like he won something in that moment, and thus human souls would be called winners.
Anyways flash forward to years later and well Adam was doing better. He still didn't remember much of his life on Earth, but with more and more winners showing up he stopped caring as much. It was still in the back of his mind, but for the most part he was happy with his place in heaven.
He may have even gotten a little bit too complacent with his new life of being the first human soul to make it to heaven. He let himself go some since the winners would dote on him, making it so easy to simply let them do things for him. Although one thing he never stopped doing was playing music. Any and all instruments just felt right in his hands like music was an important part of him.
Life was good until he started to notice the new amount of winners coming into heaven started to slow, and how Sera grew worried with each passing day. Eventually he asked her what was wrong not really expecting an answer, knowing how secretive she could be. Although it seemed like even she had her limits because for better or for worse she told him about hell and how their population was rising faster than heavens. She unloaded concerns on him that she really should have known better than to burden him with. He may be the first man but he was still just that a man.
When he heard about this, he felt an urge to know more about hell. He felt like hell had answers he couldn't find in heaven about his life, and again he really shouldn't have been allowed to, but he was able to convince Sera to let him see hell. He reasoned he had a right to see where his other descendants were going. Besides maybe he could put some of her worries to rest by spying around what was currently happening in hell.
So, that's how he found himself heading down to hell to simply go down there and scout out the place nothing more, nothing less. Sera had even given him a mask similar to his exterminator mask we see him wear in the show so he could blend in better with the demons who lived down there.
If only he realized that even a quick visit to the dwellings of sin could still corrupt the soul. It wasn't as much as it would have been if he were cast out of heaven without his heavenly aurora to shield him from the brunt of hell's oppressive environment, but it still effected him more than one would think. It made him more sensitive to the the temptation of sin. Made him feel less pitiable towards the plight of his fallen descendants, but even then the trip would have gone without incident.
He probably would have even completely recovered from the surface level tainting his soul was experiencing if not for the fact he would catch a glance of Lucifer and Lilith of all people. Thankfully, he saw them at a distance, but a look was all it took for all his memories with Lucifer and Lilith to come slamming back. All the good and bad of a whole life time was remembered in a matter of minutes. Leaving him feeling rage and betrayal that he wouldn't know what to do with because well emotions and him just don't mix.
These already strong feelings were amplified by hell's atmosphere tainting his soul, which in turn would worsen the extent of harm his soul would go through. Thus, this mere instance would eventually lead to the development of exterminations, and developing Adam into the character we see in the show.

Spoilers / theory about season 2
I just saw a supposed leak that alastor soul belongs to Rosie. So now I will Analyse if it could be true, how it could work storywise and what the future could hold.
This next bit is all just known facts and theorizing based on story telling.
First what speaks for Rosie being the one in control:
- alastor loss against Adam was a bit senseless. He was winning the whole fight until that moment where he asked what happened. While it makes sense for Adam to be more powerful, if alastor truelly were the underdog in the fight would he have antagonized Adam like that or seemed so clearly in control. alastor mocked Lucifer but only with Charlie’s protection. I don’t think he is stupid enough to challenge someone he knows is more powerful than him if he doesn’t have a way to win or stay save. It is a popular Theorie ( especially with the wings unclipped bit ) that Alastor power got cut short by the one owning his soul. So Rosie, who should be one the battlefield, saw that alastor was winning against her will, could easily be the one to down grade him.
- she is the only one who can touch or mock him without him protesting
- Alastor called her the most powerful overlord ( this side of the hexergone )
- just because you own someone soul doesn’t mean you have to be evil to everyone else or disregard the owned one completely. Rosie kindness to Charlie and friendliness to alastor could still be true and would not speak against a contract
- just because Alastor was gone for 7 years doesn’t mean it was on Lilith orders. Rosie could have told him to start looking for her what could resort in the same time frame.
- Alastor being in the hotel could actually happen because of his own free will ( get a contract with Charlie ) and he could frame it as him looking for Lilith by getting closer to the princess.
= a few things speak for Rosie being the one in control and the rest is at least not contradicting itself. Except for these points:
- Alastor is easy to read. Even if he always smiles if he gets annoyed or angry we can tell and yet he seemed happy with Rosie which makes no sense if he hates his contract.
- why would he bring Charlie to Rosie? Rosie was not getting anything out of this meeting and seeing her pawn admitting he wants to guide the princess and agreeing to this is a little reckless of her.
- why can alastor refuse her offer when she told him about a soul ready for making a deal
This could work however if Rosie was roo.
This actually works name wise ( both sounding similar and the meaning of a rose is good looking but having thornes. Those Thornes symbolism are common in religion. ). She even has a similar design being the only lady with a fedora. We also got confirmation that Rosie was not a human soul. If roo was free to perform evil it would make sense for her to be an overlord. Not too much attention from Lucifer but enough to get her influence out. She has a whole town under her control and alastor gets ride of the once she doesn’t like or increase her territory, without anyone noticing. Her sending alastor after Lilith or his hate for Lucifer ( since he created her ) or even her manipulating skills or alastor unusual power would all add up.
I really hope this is the case because if Rosie is just a normal overlord it would make alastor seem pretty weak. We love him because he has such power and legend behind him. So if he was a slave to someone not powerful enough in the hierarchy ( below princess like stolas or sins, kings of hell ) it just wouldn’t feel right.
The only other exemption I could tolerate if Alastor was on his own powerful enough but got tricked into a deal because he was new and Rosie reminded him of his mother. Basically she saw that he was stronger than her so she spent time manipulating him into trusting her so she could use his power for her own benefit ( like alastor is technically doing with Charlie ). This would give alastor some sentimental side and a reason why he is so closed off and not ready to show his true emotion to others. Since he got tricked once he fears getting tricked again. The lack of power I am afraid of could be done by showing us that Rosie is the one in control but it gets mentioned or even shown ( if the contract breaks this season ) that alastor is stronger than her. But I doubt this theory since in the clip alastor asked Rosie to fix his staff.
Even if Rosie is roo I hope this was a prank leak or get changed since I really liked Rosie and alastor relationship before this.

I’d love to hear which other songs brain rot you for the fic!!
Yippee!! Time for the Splinter Fractures brainrot song list (which is by no means definitive and can be expanded at any time)! Buckle up, because it's gonna be a long post (I'm halfway finishing this in drafts and it's SO LONG already). I want to go over my favourite lyrics for each of them :D
I'll go over the two that were brought up previously first, to get those out of the way. All links lead to YouTube videos of the songs, since I know not everyone has Spotify.
Just A Man from Epic the Musical - Personally I see this as Sinner!Adam singing to Charlie (mayhaps during one of their sessions?) Some of these thoughts on the lyrics aren't specifically Splinter Fractures (that goes for all of them) but in part my own interpretation of (sinner) Adam :)
I look into your eyes and I think back to the son of mine (Abel) You're as old as he was when I left for war (When he was killed by Cain) Will these actions haunt my days? (nightmares eyyy) Every man I've slain Is the price I pay endless pain? Close your eyes, and spare yourself the view How could I hurt you? (Charlie is like the perfect blend of both her parents, both people he loved. This would be less of a question abt the future and more of a "why did I do that?")
I'm just a man, who's trying to go home Even after all the years away from what I've known (he's homesick for Eden, when everything was still good and happy) I'm just a man who's fighting for his life Deep down I would trade the world to see my son and wife (Beneath everything, he just misses being with the people he cares about)
But when does a comet become a meteor? When does a candle become a blaze? When does a man become a monster? When does a ripple become a tidal wave? When does the reason become the blame? When does a man become a monster? (Everything slowly going wrong, and losing control, to the point where he becomes the monster, the leader of exterminations, killing millions for the protection of heaven.)
I'm just a man... (He needs Charlie to recognise that he's only human. He's not an angel, not someone incredible powerful or untouchable. He's just a man, and he has made a lot of mistakes, because making mistakes is human... But simultaneously, this is regret, and an admittance to himself. He doesn't want to be human. He wishes he was an untouchable angel, but he's not.)

Monster from Epic the Musical - I've talked about this one in a different post already, so you know the brainrot is reallll. To me this song kind of tells the story of Adam becoming the Lead Exorcist. How he basically gave up his humanity to protect Heaven, both out of a sense of duty and because the people up there (his kids) matter to him and he's afraid of seeing them get hurt.
How has everything been turned against us? How did suffering become so endless? (When they got kicked out of Eden, the rest of their mortal lives was him and Eve against the barren world, nigh endless suffering was their punishment) How am I to reunite with my estranged? (As much as he hates Lilith and Lucifer for abandoning him and making him out to be the villain, he still missed them) Do I need to change? (He believes himself to be the problem)
What if I'm the monster? What if I'm in the wrong? What if I'm the problem that's been hiding all along? What if I'm the one who killed you Every time I caved to guilt? (Cain and Abel </3)
The in-between part here is specific examples from Epic, but there's plenty of similar stories to Adam. Was Lilith wrong to take the apple or was she actually being trapped here by the angels? Was Lucifer wrong for choosing her side, or was he just taking care of someone he loved? Were the angels wrong for kicking him and Eve out of Eden, or did they deserve it?
If I became the monster, and threw that guilt away Would that make us stronger? Would it keep our foes at bay? (This is Adam suggesting the exterminations after the initial uprising. He doesn't really want it to happen, but he feels like it's a necessary evil to keep his loved ones safe) If I became the monster to everyone but us And made sure we got home again Who would care if we're unjust? (His reasoning for why the exterminations aren't evil or unjust: they attacked us first, I'm making sure they can't hurt us again. Especially personal in Splinter Fractures because he just had to see Abel die for a second time) If I became the monster...
I actually drew this part because the brainrot was getting to me. I don't love how it turned out but I spent hours making it so I might as well put it here 0_o
Then I'll become the Monster I will deal the blow And I'll become the Monster Like none they've ever known So what if I'm the Monster Lurking deep below? I must become the Monster And then we'll make it home (again, he feels like it's something he has to do to keep people safe. To some degree he blames himself for Eden, and original sin, and this is him taking responsibility for what he believes to be his mistakes. He's aware of how all of Hell will perceive him if he does this, and he chooses to do it anyway)

Don't Save Me by Chxrlotte - Ah yes, a song about giving up, and asking people to just let you drown in your pain. Very much a song of self-loathing which is so Adam to me, especially in Splinter Fractures.
I came from the darkness, hiding on my own Like rain thoughts are harmless, leave me here alone The waking nightmares aren't as bad as dreaming, I suppose (life is a nightmare but the sleeping nightmares are worse)
Maybe I'm wretched and deserve this, I don't know (Adam questioning if maybe he really has been evil all along, it's not like he knows why he's in hell to begin with...) Don't save me, I'm almost glad if this is how I go (Ah... wishing for death... almost)
Look into my eyes And tell me what you see A demon in disguise Pretending to be me (hmmm that mirror scene. Also this is very What Lute Sees and convinces herself to believe. That it's not really him, but rather a demon pretending to be Adam) Bury your surprise And listen carefully He lives inside my mind He'll never let me free (Being trapped by your own thoughts, the insecurities will never leave Adam alone! They'll stick with him forever, buried so deep in his soul that he's unlovable, that everyone leaves, that no matter what anyone says, he's just broken.)
The wasteland never ends and it's killing me Wait and count to ten, but I'll never be Able to live, I can't seem to breathe (just a case of the 'shakes' right? Definitely not a panic attack /s) I'll die fading carefully so don't save me (this whole song is about refusing help, which is exactly what Splinter!Adam did practically every time. He only accepted it when the alternative was living on the streets of Hell and all the horrifying shit that comes with that)
Standing on the edge, it's darker now And it's in my head, I can't hear a sound Facing the storm, I'm cast out at sea I'll drown eventually so don't save me (Adam very much believes that at some point he'll just be kicked out again. That this is all temporary, and eventually he'll drown)
I can't live anymore and I'm the one to blame At night my thoughts, they scare me I can't face another day (I feel like I don't need to repeat myself too much. Blaming himself for things that are, in actuality, not really his fault)
Don't save me I think I'm in hell These walls are talking I can tell I've bathed in fire since I fell Don't leave me on my own (this is right at the start of the fic. He's been in Hell for a while and it has damaged him, he finally reaches out for help for the first time, almost begging Lucifer not to just leave him on his own there, and it kickstarts his way out of his hell-spiral)
- • -
Enemy by Imagine Dragons (solo version) - My favourite on this list, to the point where I want to make an animatic of it so badly but I do not have the time or energy to do so. The lyrics just follow the story of Splinter Fractures so well!!! (I had this one in my brain early, so it's far more focussed on the start of the story)
I wake up to the sounds of the silence that allows For my mind to run around with my ear up to the ground I'm searching to behold the stories that are told When my back is to the world that was smiling when I turned (He wakes up in Hell, and the irony is laughable to everyone who recognises him (just Lucifer at the start, Vaggie and to some degree Charlie later))
Tell you you're the greatest But once you turn, they hate us (this one's all heaven, most evident in Lute and Sera. They tell him he's the best, the first man, absolutely great! ...until he becomes a sinner. Then he's nothing but a lowly demon to them, they treat him with disgust at best, and outright hatred at worse)
Oh, the misery Everybody wants to be my enemy Spare the sympathy (Same as before, asking Lucifer to not leave him there. Asking for the slightest drop of sympathy (he only gets it when he has a panic attack after)) Everybody wants to be my enemy (Everyone in Hell hates him for the exterminations, everyone in Heaven hates him for being a demon now. He's got no allies, only enemies)
Your words up on thе wall as you're prayin' for my fall (every sinner, especially those in the hotel, wanted him dead. They were, in a sense, praying for his fall, and they got it) And the laughter in thе halls and the names that I've been called (I can definitely imagine Adam being insecure enough that he always feels like people are laughing at him and mocking him behind his back)
They say pray it away I swear, that I'll never be a saint, no way (Adam is aware enough of his flaws to know he'll never be good enough to be redeemed into Heaven) A chair in the corner is my place I stay I shake and I think about the powers at play, the powers at play (his deal with Lucifer, knowing that a single wrong move will get him kicked back out onto Hell's streets, it absolutely terrifies him) And the kids in the dark that were doomed from the start The child in the basement, face to the pavement Oh, what a statement, love is embracement Love is a constant, love is a basis (there's a lot of different ways to interpret those last few lines: Adam believing the hotel is doomed (which he does), his feelings on the loss of Abel (twice), the fact that he still loves people, again and again, that he keeps trying even though they always leave him (ouch)) He cannot be, she cannot be, they cannot be changed, but keep on praying (He doesn't believe the hotel will ever truly work. One redeemed sinner is probably a fluke. Sinners can't change and become better... right?)
Goodbye (haha that scene in the lobby of the Heaven Embassy hahahaha... </3)

What Could Have Been by Sting ft. Ray Chen - This one is a lot more recent. Very much focussed around the chapters where they discuss Eden, and the story of Eden in general. It hurts to listen to sometimes, and has made me cry more than once (/pos)
I am the monster you created You ripped out all my parts (Lilith and Lucifer abandoning Adam broke his heart, absolutely shattered him. They are a large part of the why Adam is 'the monster' that everyone sees him as) And worst of all, for me to live, I gotta kill the part of me that saw That I needed you more (His approach to Lilith wanting to leave him was to pretend he didn't want her either. That he didn't care about her or Lucifer, or whatever happened to them)
I hope you know we had everything And you broke me and left these pieces (Them leaving, and especially Lucifer's words about how everyone will pick anyone else than him, definitely broke him to pieces. He was left to put himself back together, but he never truly healed right) I want you to hurt like you hurt me today and I want you to lose like I lose when I play what could have been (His response to Lilith being made infertile may have been harsh, but it was understandably bitter, as a response to the pain they caused him first)
Why don't you love who I am? What we could have been? (Lilith loving Lucifer instead of him, and the two of them choosing to leave together, rather than stay with him. I can imagine it felt to Adam like there was something wrong with him, that he already felt unlovable even before Lucifer rubbed salt in the wound with his later comment/curse)
I am your ghost, a fallen angel (Adam's appearance in Splinter Fractures certainly looks ghostly) You ripped out all my parts I couldn't care what invention you made me 'Cause I, I was meant to be yours (He firmly believed that him and Lilith were meant to be together forever, that's what made her rejection hurt as much as it did. They were literally made for each other, but Lilith still didn't want him)
- • -
That's it, that's the list (for now)! This post is so fucking long aaaaaa. I hope you like it anyways, and if you don't go through all of the lyrics that's fine, thanks for asking anyways <3

I think it’s fun if Hallucifer looked like Sam this whole time because as it’s his actual Grace, he looked like his true vessel/the last person he possessed. So we don’t always know who we’re looking at, especially as time goes on and Sam starts to adopt Lucifer’s mannerisms. Close to season 11, there’s a scene where they’re practically indistinguishable, we cannot tell who is who because they’re dressed alike and it’s not clear if Lucifer has stated dressing like Sam or if Sam has started dressing like Lucifer, and we only find out when Dean enters and addresses Sam, the only person he can see. But I also think Lucifer should be growing stronger, so others can catch glimpses of him, movement in the corner of their eye but when they turn there’s nothing there except Sam is also looking in that direction, weird shadows on the wall in the shape of wings, freezing spots when there’s no ghosts, etc. And while we know Lucifer is still a separate entity from Sam, because of Sam slowly acting more like Lucifer, there’s a sense of unease in everyone else, there’s been discussions about if a vessel can be possessed by a portion of an angel; Castiel doesn’t know, because archangels are a totally different league and, most importantly as Castiel points out, Lucifer was still possessing Sam when Sam’s body was removed. Nothing like this has ever happened before, so they’re in uncharted territory. This is important because when Lucifer starts partially manifesting for everyone else, this means everyone’s wondering if this means he can now possess Sam. When Sam acts like Lucifer after this, there’s always an undercurrent of “is this Sam acting like Lucifer, or is this Lucifer?”
Supernatural, y’all should’ve let me be in charge of how Lucifer and Sam played out post-season 5. And we needed hints in season 6 that Lucifer is actually there, so there’s definitely scenes when Sam just knows things he can’t know yet it’s just subtle enough that none of the characters realized and us viewers only notice during a rewatch (but after the reveal of it really being partially Lucifer, we get a montage of all the signs and some are from season 6), Castiel is confused by one of Soulless’s physical symptoms because that shouldn’t be affected by not having a soul but there’s no established rules about how surprise soullessness affects a human and how that might be impacted by having demon blood or being possessed by an angel at the time of losing said soul so everyone assumes it’s just a Sam thing (because he’s a “whole new level of freak”), angels meet Sam and talk about him feeling like Lucifer but everyone dismissed it as it being a result of the possession (except someone comments later in the season that it should’ve faded at least a little by now and we hear a faint echo of laughter in Sam’s voice, but Sam himself is the only one to actually react so he was the only one to hear it and he’s not laughing so it wasn’t actually him but there’s nobody else it could be as far as we know), etc. 3/4
YES
Hallucifer as Sam makes so much more sense than Nick, and you're right, it would be very fun to use this to make Sam and Lucifer indistinguishable from another, making us wonder where Lucifer ends and Sam begins 👀
Yesss you should have been in the writer's room and saved us all from what they did to Lucifer!!! I love this slow burn where there are these ambiguous signs that could point to Lucifer but could also be explained away with Sam's unique circumstances. The reveal a couple of seasons later would be so rewarding for viewers. Spn can only dream of such good storytelling post S5....

For the people choosing Misha, I have to ask, what exactly do you consider good acting, or consistency?
Let’s do a little comparison between how Misha and Jared play different characters, shall we? I’m going to consider not just "they are different than the normal version of the character" but also if the difference makes sense in context of the show where this version of the character appears.
I’ll do this under the cut since I’m adding what will likely be a long post to someone else’s post.
Misha:
Jimmy - This character is definitely different than Castiel, and well-acted. He shows nuance and emotions that are appropriate to the circumstances ✔️
The End "Hippy" Cass - (technically Cas, but depowered) very different than normal Cass. Misha does well here, showing a both over the top hedonist Cass, but also one who is generally exasperated and amused-in-a-vague way. I find this part enjoyable and it makes sense (mostly) for a Castiel without powers at the end of the world, where all is futile. ✔️
Godstiel - He is both normal Cass but different than normal Castiel at the same time, there are moments where he gives that sense of power and menace, but it also edges into being too campy at times for me ➖/ ✔️
Lucifer - I find this portrayal of Lucifer inconsistent and too edging into "funny." It’s more a mimicry/parody of Mark P’s performance than making the character his own. He is channeling Hellucifer (not Lucifer as we know him at that point), with often over-exaggerated speech and expressions/movements. I found he did this part well, with some subtlety, in "The Vessel" but otherwise it was mostly silly and ott. Remember kids, imitating (copycatting) another actor is not the same as creating a resemblance but making the part your own . ➖
The Empty - the need to put on a (bad) accent to keep which character one is playing straight, when playing two characters who are talking to each other, is not actually good acting, see Jensen in "Dream a Little Dream of Me" and "The End", Jared in "Swan Song" and "The Man Who Knew Too Much" and Jake Abel as Michael talking to Adam (I don’t remember the ep title) for stronger examples of how to do this effectively. (The Empty Cass gives me secondhand embarrassment.) ❌
Apocalypse World Castiel - again, what accent is that? The accent makes literally no sense for the chracter unless AU Jimmy (whose vessel this Castiel also inhabits) is German for some reason, and this character is way over the top. It’s got no nuance and is more like he’s mimicking/parodying some other actor from some other genre. Full campy territory. ❌
I am not including a human Castiel or Crazzy Castiel, as they are just Cass dialed up or down a little.
Jared:
Meg - Jared is both subtle and scary in this role. Particularly in the scene with Jo, he goes from "trying" to be Sam, to full on menace, to having a feminine edge, to flipping back into "desperate Sam" when Dean shows up. There are moments where you can see he is Nicki Acox's Meg ✔️
Tall Tales Sam - I’m including this because this is an example of the appropriate use of campiness and being over the top. Jared goes for it in this episode but it makes sense because Dean is describing Sam in the ways Jared plays him. Also, it’s hilarious ✔️
Lucifer - while I’m not sure he’s my favorite Lucifer actor, Jared brings quiet menace, gloating condescension, and rage to the role in appropriate measures at the right time, depending which episode we are talking about. I can even see hints of how Mark P plays him, but it isn’t copy-cat mimicry, which is more interesting. ✔️
Soulless Sam - he’s chilling, he’s amusing, he’s Sam …but not. Watching him play Soulless is fascinating because he even plays a Soulless Sam who is trying to pretend to be normal Sam, but still feeling … off. It takes a lot of skill to portray all that goes on with the character, and he does it for half a season. He is consistent and great. ✔️
Ezekiel/Gadreal - Jared plays the angel with a stiffness and formality that feels appropriate for an angel who has been locked away for malenia. He also gives off a sense of naivety and reluctant-coldness. He also shared this role with another actor, and while I think his chanelling Nicki and Mark P are more clear than Tahmoh, I still believe they are the same character. While, I think Jared does a great job in this role, I don’t enjoy it as much as others, but it’s still very well done. ✔️
Justin Smith - this role is defiantly campy, but it’s in keeping with the episode. I find this portrayal enjoyable, if not particularly nuanced. I think Jared is really fun here, but it also feels a little more Jared than Sam to me, so for the sake of fairness I won’t give it a full check (even though he deserves one for the fun of the role) ➖
I’ll admit, I’m not a totally unbiased observer here, but to have that many people saying Misha is the strongest at playing different characters when he has at least two ACTUALLY BAD examples of acting in his list makes no sense. At all.
#adding my 2 cents#Jared Padalecki#Misha critical#mildly#Supernatural#actors plsying characters other than their usual role#some things are subjective … while others are not#Lucifer … Who wore it better!?

Hey, Hey, Hey! It’s been a minute but I didn’t wanna spam ya with requests while you have life stuff to deal with ☺️
This is similar to my Savage!MC ask but the brothers reacting to MC snapping at them and defending Mammon before calling the brothers out whenever they go too hard on him. Let’s be real, Mammon just acts on his sin and gets punished but when Lucifer’s a prick and threatens MC; crickets.
When Beel eats everything and damn near causes everyone to starve as well as threw a tantrum and nearly injured MC over custard;everyone turns a blind eye.
Levi guilt trips and whine over the smallest things but says the worst insults to Mammon and tried to kill MC over TSL.
Asmo acts like he’s above everyone and prefers to tend to his looks than help others (such as during the castle tour) but he gets no scolding.
Belphie routinely harasses Luci with Satan (who loses his temper) AND they all either threatened/killed MC but should Mammon do anything, he’s the worst. Even though Mammon:
- Never threatened MC
- Does shit for his brothers when asked (he may joke of needing a grimm but he’s an Avatar of greed and still gets the job done)
- Is very loyal to them
- And is a good brother to take falls for them. He knows how to sacrifice for them and the slightest inconvenience gets him thrown under the bus
These guys ain’t shit and I wouldn’t wanna be around them until they learn how to treat him better and equally work on their flaws rather than rip on Mammon, who’s a whole ass victim despite being the second strongest brother who takes it because he genuinely loves his brothers yet gets shit on by them so much.
Ooh this savage MC has nothing but heart eyes for Mammon and it's adorable. Right this one is going to be angsty and it's going to sting. I'm doing this in a short story instead of a headcannon cause it just seems right that way. Hope that's okay?
It was just another one of those days Mammon tried to steal his brothers stuff and sell it again. Another day of being upside down and being laughed at. Normally he wouldn't care - it was the usual routine. But something seemed off this time.
"Mammon.. are you okay?" You approach him. He was rubbing his shoulders and arms as if to comfort the pain. He looked more tired and pained than usual.
"Ah I'm alright MC. Just the same old ya know?" He laughed. It sounded hollow yet it pierced your heart.
Enough. Enough of this. You weren't going to stand by and watch this happen again.
"You should rest." You place an arm on his shoulder and take him to his room. Making sure he's asleep, you leave. You have some problematic demons to deal with it.
"Ah MC? What brings you here? You seem rather disturbed." He asks as you storm into his study, fuming with anger.
"You tell me, you sadistic peacock." You had lost all sense of self-preservation and normalcy. Just echoing the rage in your brain.
"Excuse me?" Lucifer said, half-amused, half-shocked.
"Either you stop treating Mammon this way or I will make your life hell." You grit your teeth.
"I already have my brothers doing that what more will you do MC? Besides Mammon had it coming. He went stealing Levi's and Asmo's things again." Lucifer said nonchalantly.
"What do expect from the Avatar of Greed? He's just acting how he's cursed to. Just like the rest of you, nicompoops. Stop listening through the door and come inside." You said loudly.
The other brothers were still in the corridor nearby overhearing the whole thing. You could hear them gasp loudly at your boldness and scutter inside one by one.
"Now let me elaborate, so you rotten cucumbers understand me clearly." You cleared your throat.
Leviathan
"This little snake in tried to kill me because I may have known a little bit more about his favourite anime than him. Where's his punishment?" You point at Levi.
"MC I'm sorry...I couldn't help it was too new to me." Levi started. "But Mammon keeps stealing my things how is that fair-"
"And you keep throwing us into new kinds of disasters with your game hoarding problem."
"If you're still mad about the TSL incident I swear I take it all back-"
"Shut up snake, we know the reason. You're the Avatar of Envy. Getting jealous is your whole point. So you didn't get punished. Moving on..." Your finger now points to Satan. "This wild cat."
Satan
"He also threatened me cause I didn't want to make a pact with him. And when he actually flies off his handle, he wrecks his room and half the house down."
Satan seemed like he wanted to say something but he scowled and looked away.
"However I won't be too hard on him, cause he tries to keep his thing in check. And the whole reason he even has Wrath is because of Lucifer. So I get your hate towards Lucifer, but Mammon doesn't deserve any of it."
"MC you know I can't tolerate stupidity-" He grumbled.
"Oh must be hard looking in the mirror then, with all your failed pranks. And speaking of mirrors, this over- perfumed mannequin." You turn to Asmo.
Asmodeus
"How have I possibly hurt anyone MC? You know I stand for Love too right?" Asmo said, batting his pretty little eyes.
"For someone who stands for LOVE, if you can even call it that," You make a disgusted face, "You surely love making a mockery out of your elder brother and revel in his misery, you over- perfumed potato."
"But I never cause problems do I? Why must I be punished just for standing by?"
"Your high and mighty sense of worth is an illusion you live in. You dress up pretty and act social to validate yourself, trying to conceal the ugliness within. Truly you are nothing but Lust. Also you're the reason we almost got eaten by a giant snake." You shake your head. "Now speaking of eating..."
Beelzebub
"This giant food vaccum." You point to Beel. "He tried to eat me over a custard. Like excuse me? There's still plenty of food outside? And let's not forget that week we all had to eat cup ramen for a week cause he finished the whole pantry."
Beel softly muttered and apology and looked down.
"He even ate the walls and pillars once! Surely those renovations cost way more than however much Mammon steals? Where's his punishment?!"
"MC enough. He's sorry already." Beel's twin spoke up. You glared at him and smiled. "Don't worry I saved the best for last."
Belphegor
"This lazy murderous cow." You walk up to him slowly. "Not only does everyone have to your chores - you love causing chaos."
Belphie laughed, "That I do. But that's only with Lucifer. What else did I do?"
"Oh you want me to go there? I surely will." You say with a sting in your eye. "In your plan to avenge your sister, you killed what was left of her in the first timeline. And your brothers just stood by and watched. Where's your penance, you murder hornet?"
Belphie's eyes grew wide. Everyone looked shocked and uncomfortable. You never brought this up before now.
"But why bother asking you about it. I should be asking the ultimate punisher of this family." You turn to Lucifer.
Lucifer
"Ah! If it isn't Diavolo's pet dog! How is your master today? Does he treat you the way you treat Mammon? Is that why you come here to take your revenge on your little brother instead? Tell me Lucifer does Diavolo punish you then?"
"MC, I understand you maybe upset but you are crossing a line here." Lucifer stood up with a gutteral growl.
"Sit doggie. I didn't ask for you yet." You commanded. Lucifer sat back down as with great force. He stared at you flummoxed.
"Did you forget about the pacts already, you pompous goat? You have threatened and tried to kill me more than anyone else in this family so congratulations! I will use my pacts way more generously now." You mock bowed in gratitude.
"You might win in a fight against him but let me tell you this..." You stared back at the others.
"Mammon is the second strongest in this family. If he wanted to - if he REALLY wanted to, all of you would be turned to dust. He is stronger than all of you - but he hides it. He supresses his powers and his anger because he loves you too much. How could he ever hurt his little brothers?" You felt tears in your eyes at this point.
"AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY HIM? He's only acting on his sin! Just like the rest of you! Why must he be singled out and mocked at? I won't allow it. Never again."
"If you hurt Mammon again, I swear you will have to face me. And before you think you have a chance against me, do remember the pacts you all happily made with me I will not hesitate to use them against you dysfunctional lot-"
"MC... Stop." You felt Mammon hug you from behind.
"Mammon? I thought you were asleep." You say looking back at him. His tears were misty but his smile more full.
"And I thought I was supposed to protect ya, human! And you're out here protecting me..." Mammon trailed off and held you closer.
"We can protect each other."

Hi, can I get headcanons for the demon brothers dealing with a fem MC who's rather loud/vocal during sex (which makes them self conscious about it)? Even the wet noises of squirting make them embarrassed each time they try fooling around.
If you could do it also for the undateables too I'd love it, but you don't have to if it's too much (I'm mostly curious about Simeon and Diavolo).
✨ Thank you for your request and patience✨
A/n: I will make two parts!!! This is the first one with the brothers, the undateabels will also get their own part ✨♥️
The brothers with a noisy S/O that is slef-conscious about it pt.1
LUCIFER:
There's no need to be shy~
You can be as loud as you want
He probably has soundproof walls so nobody can hear what's going on inside oooor he uses a spell
I mean if you really feel uncomfortable with it he will try to make you comfortable as much as he can couse what's the use in it if only one is enjoying it and the other not
But also on the other side, he'd make you even louder with his skills
He'd praise your sounds and tells you you sound beautiful no matter what
And the wet noises? He understands it's maybe a bit weird and stuff, but please-in the end with him you'll start to love it, it's Lucifer after all-
MAMMON:
Before you two even started to do anything dirty he knew something was wrong with you
Mammon has some sensitive senses about his precious treasure yk
And those are these moments he starts to get serious and tells you that it's okay and that he understands you
Sometimes even he's louder than you to make you comfortable-
But seriously-he understands you, or at least really trys to becouse he wants to be the perfect boyfriend for you and never wants to lose you-
But yeah, he wound a way to muffle your sounds sksksk
By kissing you
And that's a way isn't it?
LEVIATHAN:
Hes also loud!
So you both can be loud at the same time!
✨Goals✨
I mean it does sure help if someone is with you doing the same thing, it makes it more comfortable i guess-
What Levi knows, if youre more nervous than the other it helps
So he always, even tho he's not so nervous, acts like it's worse for him so you cab give him confidence, which you gives confidence couse yk you're the one who appears stronger then
Or I'm just stupid-
BUT IT WOULD ALSO KINDA MAKE HIM PROUD THAT HES ONE OF THE REASONS YOURE SO LOUD
his confidence just boosted up-
But theres really no way to be embarrassed about it because he's embarrassed too and so it's awkward and there needs to he someone who isn't the awkward one and it won't be Levi yk-and if you end up being awkward too...well-
Ngl that's a mess what i just wrote-
SATAN:
Actually-he loves it
But on the other hand he knows you aren't comfortable with it so he feels kinda bad that he likes it so much
But he isn't an asshole about it and still keeps going or makes you louder to hear more, noooo
He slows down and gets soft with you to make you comfortable and doesn't pushes you
Satan takes his time with you till you get comfortable and aren't embarrassed about it anymore!
And when you are finally comfortable you'll see it's very enjoyable!
ASMODEUS:
He experienced a lot of people who felt just like you! So again, pro
Also, he's louder than you anyway
I mean what's the problem in showing how much he loves this moment with you and how good you make him feel?
But all in all he takes it very serious and helps you get you comfortable with everything
He has no problem to adjust to you yk, if you wanna keep quite he can get you a gag yk-
Or just shove his fingers into your mouth-
Or he can kiss you what you like more~
BEELZEBUB:
Actually-at first he doesn't even realized you feel like this-
Don't be mad at him oki-
He does really much care about you, you're his loved one yk
But sometimes you need to say stuff yourself you're uncomfortable with or it won't change at all
He feels really bad he didn't realized it before and keeps apologizing
Actually sits down with you and talks with you about and asks if a snack would help you feel better-
Now after that he cuddles you more because he's afraid it's his fault you feel that why which is obviously not
Tells you all the time no matter what you sound absolutely beautiful and you don't need to be ashamed of your GORGEOUS DANG VOICE✨
He just loves you yk
BELPHEGOR:
Says you shouldn't be bothered by it
He isn't annoyed or anything by you that you keep holding your sounds in
He understands that it's embarrassing, hell he's embarrassed too actually-
But he makes sure that you know that it's all okay and no one except him can hear you
And tbh he likes those sounds, couse he's the reason of them
His cock is hitting all the right places? Then let the sounds of pleasure out when you feel so good no need to feel ashamed little sheep~

Hello! I was hoping for your thoughts on Satan being the fourth born when he wasn't even born until Lucifer was in the devildom. I do remember him saying that he would see occasional glimpses from Lucifers eyes, does that mean he was created but not manifested into a real being until Lucifer cut off his wings? I do believe he was an adult when he formed.
For our own interpretations, we primarily tend to go by the explanation that was given in season 1, which is that although they say "fourth born" or "older"/"younger" brother, the brothers are actually ranked by power, not age.
We know that canonically, Satan came into being after Lucifer fell, so in terms of literal age and time of existence, he would actually be the youngest. However, by power, he is the fourth -- he doesn't have the full power of Lucifer (who, it seems, is still the most powerful among them even after having Satan split off!), but he's still stronger than half of the brothers!
As far as when his personal consciousness as an independent entity started to form, however, the game is a little fuzzier about it. When he's mentioned getting glimpses from Lucifer's eyes, it sounds to us like fragments of flashbacks, as he was part of Lucifer at the time. In that sense, he was just Lucifer's wrath, not a separate cognitive existence within him but just the actual feeling that Lucifer had, and did not form into his own being until Lucifer cut off his own wings. Considering that, we tend to think of it as him having previously shared Lucifer's mind but not having actually been "Satan" until his physical birth.
This is also somewhat supported by how they describe Satan when he was first created -- purely wrath, still not even really a cognizant person, but someone that the brothers had to teach to become more than just wrath. If he had been a fully formed existence within Lucifer long beforehand, it wouldn't make as much sense to why he needed to be taught by the others. The personality he has now is honed by a long time of trying to actively develop himself into that.
However, the game contradicts itself a bit on this point in the Season 2 side story where Satan tells Asmodeus that he was "looking out" from inside of Lucifer and is actually older in the literal sense as well. We chalk that up to him mostly just putting Asmo back in his place after the latter tried to suggest that he was being more like the older brother to Satan. We'll see if the game continues taking more of this approach instead, but for our own headcanons and interpretations, we really tend to think of it as the above, not as Satan having formed within Lucifer well before splitting off.

I was told to write my WIP. Here, take my just over a thousand words thingy. (Part One) @lucifer-is-a-bag-of-dicks (here's the first part of context for the OP marvel crossover thingy)
____
Danny is in the hallways when he gets stopped by the ever familiar pull on his senses. Not the kind of “there’s a ghost nearby” pull, but rather in a “someone’s summoning a ghost and it’s you” pull.
That’s one of the issues with being half-ghost. He could literally be summoned by any halfwit smart enough to somehow find an actual ghost-summoning circle-spell-whatever. He was lucky enough that it only happened twice before.
The good thing was that he had enough time to grab Tucker, who had conveniently been walking with him to their next class, duck out of the hallways, and whisper, “Cover me-” before disappearing.
Distantly, Danny felt kinda bad for Tucker, but he was a bit more busy with being spat out in ghost form on someone’s floor.
Being summoned sucked. Especially when he, Danny, was being Danny Fenton rather than being Danny Phantom, because something forced him to change into ghost form, and that always added to the general disorientation that came from being in one place to nowhere to somewhere.
As soon as the world stopped flashing and he could steady himself, he noticed the room first and the circle second. It was well-lit with warm lights set on the walls near the ceiling, most of it being wood a bit close together. There were glass displays that seemed to have weird artifacts like old papers and swords, and a stairway that led down. There was also a huge window that looked a lot like the inside of a clock.
The energy swirling in the place reminded him very vividly of Clockwork. Although he knew that Clockwork didn’t summon people so much as ominously pop up randomly to bother them during battle or school or while walking down the road. Or-
Danny was then reminded that this was NOT Clockwork’s place, and that someone (probably another dumb group of teenagers) had summoned him. There were even candles and a circle and-
Oh.
Danny was stuck. People normally didn’t know that summoning circles didn’t also trap ghosts. And they also normally weren’t adults who looked like weird monks. The two adults (which, what? What were adults doing summoning ghosts? They weren’t even from Amity Park-) were barely paying any attention, either, which he found really rude. And kind of stupid. Who summons a ghost and then doesn't even pay attention?
The first man had no hair, and was wearing… gold robes. He was also in the middle of arguing with the man with a goatee, with a red cape. “-telling you, Pariah is not some passerby you can just- summon! He’s the-” Pariah? Pariah Dark? The Ghost King that decided Amity Park needed to be in the Ghost Zone before invading? What did these weirdos want with him?
It took him a moment to realize Mr. Bald had stopped talking. Damn. Goatee, on the other hand, took that moment to start.
“I know he’s dangerous, but we’re going to need allies. Is he h-” Goatee said as he turned. Then he caught sight of Danny and also stopped dead. Now both of them were gaping at him.
Danny frowned, drifting up in the air. “Oh, by all accounts, don’t let me stop you. Please, continue.”
The two men looked at each other, wide-eyed and gesturing at him. Ah, silent conversations. Never fun to be left out. He sighed, floating closer to the boundaries and raising his fist to knock on it. It was like a glass wall just popped into existence around him, bolts of what looked like green electricity bouncing away from where he hit it before dispersing. Weird.
“Where is Pariah, ghost?” Goatee asked, standing with Mr. Bald. He was… tall. Both of them were, actually. Danny looked up for a moment before leaning backwards, as though thinking, and shrugged.
He sucked in air through his teeth, before reorienting himself to look at them. “Let’s say he’s in timeout for now.” And that... wasn’t a lie, Danny just left out that the old dictator was stuck in a sarcophogus of ‘never wake up again’. “And… wow, you really must’ve messed up the circle if you got me instead. What makes you think you can actually summon Pariah anyways?”
And now they looked offended and incredulous. “We don’t have time for games, ghost. Who are you?” The one with the Goatee glared, looking as though he was winding up to do something. “We know the circle works, which means that you-” he grunted. Mr. Bald removed his elbow from Goatee’s side, still silently staring.
What is it with people these days? Danny thought, blatantly staring back. “It’s Phantom. Listen, I could humor you all day but I have places to go, fights to fight, stuff like that. So…”
“I think it’d be better if you could explain more, Phantom.” Mr. Bald stated, his arm moving slowly under his robes. Probably to grab something, like a weapon. He did not like that idea. Danny turned away, flicked the barrier again, and looked at the two summoners.
“I think it’d be better if I could leave.” He stressed, eyes narrowing. He hated being caught, hated being forced into somewhere and not being able to leave. It made his very being rebel against the thought, almost- he wasn’t meant to be stuck in a small space.
Ghost barriers worked well on ghosts, though. Danny was not a pure ghost. He was alive and not at the same time, able to switch between the two states almost easily. Things that only affected a ghost or human… well, he could work around them. Sometimes. It hurt his core to use his more human aspects against things that warned off ghosts when he was Phantom, but he could do it.
He grabbed the barrier, straining against whatever kept it there. It wasn't like his parent's inventions at all; there wasn't any device that kept it there. The summoners obviously were well-equipped, but he could be fast- he could hear the mad scramble behind him. His core started to ache, and it felt as though he was benchpressing a bridge- but he kept his grip on the barrier, and when the first crack appeared he squeezed through it.
It felt like time had slowed when he made it out of the barrier. He was half-way across the room about to turn intangible, invisible, the whole nine-yards- and then he stopped. Yet again he was very, very vividly reminded of Clockwork.
“Wong, quick, we need to make a stronger barrier-” Danny couldn’t move. Not yet, it was like he was unfreezing each of his limbs and he was taking too much time- “Did you know ghosts could do that? Was he-?”
“That was one of the stronger barriers against I do not know, Strange, but this does not bode well-”
He felt someone grab him, and that was all it took. He could also feel how they startled when he could finally twist out of the way and through the wall- which felt almost exactly like the barrier but- different, because he could pass through it much easier. Danny didn’t hesitate to book it out of there.

The Brothers + Dateables & Luke react to MC owning a cat named lucifer
A/N- To attempt to avoid confusion, the demon Lucifer’s name will always be capitalized, while the cat lucifer’s name will never be capitalized.
~
“Now,” Diavolo said, obviously nearing the end of his speech, “Do you have any more questions, MC?”
You nod, “Is my cat up there all by himself?” you ask, “I don’t want him to get lonely, and without me he wont have anyone to feed him.”
The men, no, the demons in front of you stared, all obviously dumbstruck. You had been ripped out of your home, brought to a strange place, and told you were to live here for a year, and your first thought was of your cat? What a strange human you were.
“We can arrange someone to take care of your cat,” Diavolo said, smiling wide, but your face fell at his words. Diavolo seemed to sense your discontent as he spoke again, “Or we can arrange for your cat to be brought here?”
“Yes, please,” you spoke almost immediately.
Diavolo called for a demon named Barbatos, telling him to go to the human world to retrieve your cat. He disappeared then reappeared in a matter of seconds, your cat laying comfortably in his arms.
“Oh, lucifer,” You cooed, taking your cat away from Barbatos, kissing the cat’s forehead.
The hall went silent once again, before someone, the demon they introduced as Asmodeus, spoke up, “Honey, that’s Barbatos.” He said, a slight chuckle laced within the words.
Confused, you glance back up at the hall of demons, you point to your cat, “No? His name is lucifer.”
Lucifer
Can't decide if he's confused or insulted.
He's confused because, who the hell would someone name a cat of all things after a demon
and he's insulted because WHO THE HELL WOULD NAME A CAT AFTER HIM?
He's one of the strongest Demons in the Devildom, much stronger than a mere housecat, the insinuation that he, Lucifer, avatar of pride, shares anything in common with a cat has him fuming.
Of course, he shows none of these emotions outwardly, keeping his face stoic as always.
And any one of his brothers who dare joke about this cat's name will be hanged from the ceiling in a matter of seconds.
Is fairly annoyed with their shared name in day-to-day life, and not just because it's insulting.
But, many times a day, Lucifer'll hear his name called through the halls and, when he goes to investigate, one of his brothers is cooing over the damned pun intended cat.
Will eventually get used to lucifer and will definitely be seen cuddling with him.
Is like the dad who insists he doesn't want a cat, but as soon as he gets one they're inseparable.
At the end of the day, he loves that damn cat.
Mammon
Laughs out loud at the revelation that the cat's name is lucifer.
Until he realizes now he has to look after the human and the cat.
Will complain about it in typical Mammon fashion, but he warms up to lucifer about as quickly as he warms up to you.
Buys him a bunch of cat toys when he has the grimm, and loves to play with him
especially with a laser pointer.
Also loves to cuddle, but always acts very tsundere about it.
"What is it lucifer? Oh, of course, you want to cuddle with the Great Mammon."
Will either steal lucifer from your room at night, or sleep in your room to cuddle with him and totally not you, of course, but you should be honored he's even sleeping in your room.
Leviathan
Thinks it's hilarious as well.
Though he prefers anime, Levi is well versed in other human media, especially classic Disney films, so, because of Cinderella, he's well aware that lucifer is a popular cat name in the human realm.
That doesn't make it any less funny, though.
WILL NOT allow lucifer into his room.
He has too many expensive figurines to risk it
Plus, he doesn't want to risk Henry 2.0 getting hurt.
Will only play with, pet, or cuddle with lucifer if he initiates it.
"He probably doesn't want to be pet by a gross otaku like me," as if cats know what otakus are.
Will, at some point, sew lucifer a costume that looks suspiciously like what his older brother tends to wear.
He may or may not have been hanged for that one, but it was totally worth it.
Satan
Like Lucifer, Satan is conflicted.
On one hand, cat! He loves cats, he wants to pet this cat all day, and give him kisses and cuddles and love.
On the other hand, Satan would rather his soul be ripped apart than give love to something named after Lucifer.
Will try his hardest to completely ignore the cat's existence.
Has to leave the room if lucifer comes in because he can't trust himself to not pet him.
Is like this with lucifer until he sees him respond to the name luci as well.
After that, you cannot separate Satan from lucifer even if you tried.
Spoils him rotten.
The two are often found reading together in the library, Satan leisurely petting lucifer.
Fights with Mammon at least once a day for lucifer and always wins.
Goes on long rants about how cat lucifer is much better in every way than demon Lucifer.
Asmodeus
Another one who thinks it's hilarious.
Definitely thinks lucifer is cute but hates all the shedding, so he usually keeps his distance.
Like Levi, Asmo doesn't allow lucifer in his room.
Will constantly complain about fur getting all over his clothes.
Has had to buy more lint rollers in the first year you spent in the Devildom than he had bought in the last century.
Constantly posts pictures of lucifer on his Devilgram because, despite being a furry monster, he is just the cutest little kitten around.
Beelzebub
Thinks the name is a bit weird but accepts it pretty quickly.
It's just a name, after all, lots of people who are very different share names.
lucifer's food has to be hidden from Beel because he can, and will, eat it.
"It just smelled so good, and I was so hungry."
Apologizes by buying him some luxury cat treats that took all of Bee's willpower not to eat on the way home.
At first, he won't interact with lucifer unless lucifer approaches him.
Beel is so big, and lucifer is so small, he doesn't want to crush the little cat.
But with enough time and reinforcement, Beel will pick lucifer up himself for some much-needed cuddles.
Before Belphie comes down from the attic, Beel'll bring lucifer up to their room at night when he's feeling a bit more lonely than usual.
Beel will invite you up to his room as well.
Belphegor
Finds out about lucifer after everyone else, due to the whole, being locked in the attic, thing.
Hears Asmo trying to coax lucifer into a good pose from down the hall.
"Oh lucifer, cutie pie, you gotta look at the camera."
Is surprised that Asmo is still alive talking to Lucifer like that.
Is even more surprised when he turns the corner to find Asmo talking to a cat, not his eldest brother.
Thinks it's hilarious, but Lucifer is already over it so teasing him about it doesn't do much.
Won't actively seek out lucifer's attention, but will gladly nap with him.
Beel continues his habit of bringing lucifer up to their room for cuddles when Belphie returns, so the three of them usually end up in a big cuddle pile.
Bonus points if he brings you up too.
Diavolo
Thinks it's very amusing.
Laughs about it, probably for a bit too long.
He can't help it, especially because he knows Lucifer is most definitely a bit upset about it.
Will tease Lucifer once or twice about it, but will ultimately leave it alone.
When he visits the House of Lamentation, he'll give lucifer a nice pat, hello, but won't go very far beyond that.
Barbatos
Read lucifer's name tag while he was collecting him from the human realm.
Wasn't surprised in the slightest because nothing ever surprises him
Is definitely excited to see everyone's reactions to his name, and is not disappointed.
If given the chance, he will spend hours brushing lucifer's fur and pampering him
but doesn't get the chance to do so often, if ever.
Solomon
Has had a cat named lucifer in the past.
I mean, he's lived hundreds of years, it's not out of the realm of possibilities.
Named his own cat lucifer because he thought it was funny, and the humor hasn't faded since.
So he's very amused by this new lucifer in his life.
Will unabashedly cuddle and play with lucifer whenever he's given the chance.
I mean, this lucifer reminds him of his own cat, so he becomes pretty attached pretty quickly.
Whenever he visits the House of Lamentation, he'll hold lucifer until the very last minute he possibly can, and will be pretty sad when he has to leave.
Will joke about stealing lucifer, may actually try to steal him.
Simeon
Like Levi, Simeon is pretty well versed in human media, so the concept of cats named lucifer isn't new to him.
Still finds it a bit funny nonetheless.
Tells Michael right away.
Likes cats well enough, and, when he's in the House of Lamentation, will seek out a few pets from the kitten
but he doesn't venture to the House of Lamentation too often, so he never grows too close to lucifer.
Luke
WHY? WOULD YOU NAME A CAT? AFTER A DEMON?
There are so many better names for a cat!
Like whiskers, or oreo, or simba.
Is genuinely confused, and maybe even a bit concerned.
He's afraid you were consorting with demons before coming to the Devildom and that's why you named him lucifer.
After his brief stay in the House of Lamentation, Luke is absolutely in love with lucifer.
Plays with him constantly.
Wants to pick him up, but doesn't know how to.
Luke will end up getting scratched eventually, but Luke forgives him.
Bakes lucifer special cat treats and hopes you'll let him feed lucifer one.
