He heard your words.
He appeared behind you, and a shiver ran down your spine. You slowly turned around, preparing for the worst.
A huge squid towered over you, and you were unable to see the face of your God. Only those red, entrancing eyes.
Mortal, do you have the nerve to call me a “baby girl”?
Don't you think that's an insult to your God?
Watch your words and rejoice, for today you have experienced my grace.
But there won't be another chance.

The mighty God of Pestilence was in an exceptionally good mood today and forgave you for your insult, but you are in his sights.

Thoughts about Alastor after the episode "Hello, Rosie"
Tumblr media
Perhaps first such a small summary for those who haven't read my previous posts about Alastor.
Alastor's deal with someone has worked out. Officially we don't know with whom, but my theory is that it is Lilith.
Alastor is obliged by the contract probably to help/protect Charlie. His intentions are not clear, and he harbours many secrets.
He is not fond of Lucifer. Theories are that he either sees him as a threat to Charlie's hotel and dreams, or he is redirecting negative emotions about his own father and how Lucifer treated Charlie onto him.
Alastor enjoys being in the company of women and probably likes/appreciates Charlie. Perhaps he sees himself as her mentor.
His help, although chaotic and initially incomprehensible seems to be having an effect and actually helping the hotel and Charlie.
Alastor has a weakness for jazz and alcohol, but we don't see him ever drinking alcohol in the series.
His enemy is Vox, but he is more annoyed by Lucifer (probably because he is stronger than him).
Alastor doesn't like to lose or be wrong.
Here you have a link to previous thoughts if you are curious.
Alastor’s true motivations? - Why is he helping Charlie?
Dad beat Dad - Alastor, what the hell are you doing?
Traditionally, there are loads of spoilers here!
From the outset, Alastor seems interested/intrigued by Charlie sitting in the room and spinning another plan. Clearly he saw an opportunity in. Charlie was alone, so he could talk to her in peace. A plan was already forming in his head.
On Instagram, one girl made a fair analysis of Alastor's facial expressions. What expression on his face signifies what emotion. Which proved to be very helpful in understanding him! Here you have ig: @/sasha_draws.bg She did a really great job! But back to Alastor.
When Alastor feels some negative emotion, lines/wrinkles appear under his eyes. Which is true when you pay attention to the previous episodes, but in this 'Hello, Rosie' it is particularly noticeable.
For most of the time in this episode, Alastor seemed concerned to me.
When Alastor was talking to Charlie I had the impression that he was provoking her. He made Charlie painfully aware of how badly her plans had failed, which seems cruel. Initially this could be understood as simply an opportunity to take advantage of Charlie and make a deal, but I think this is just an added benefit. Alastor is bound by his contract to the hotel and Charlie, so he can't leave her. But Alastor has besides made Charlie realise that she can't idly brood on the bed because she doesn't have that luxury. Her friends were waiting for a plan, they were waiting for Charlie.
Charlie gave up at that point, and Alastor made her realise that there was still a chance to make things right somehow. He exasperated her, and showed her that she couldn't give up - in a rather cruel way but still, it's not always kind words or words of support that help you up.
Sometimes the painful realisation of the truth is the best motivator to undertake change.
For a moment, Alastor seemed annoyed that Charlie thought she had him figured out because she smiles all the time. He made her realise that the opposite is true.
A smile can be a weapon on many fronts. You could say that he gave Charlie some cue about his own behaviour. His lecture about smiling shows a lot about him.
Alastor hides a lot - his emotions, motivations or goals. He revealed to Charlie that he himself puts on a mask. The smile gives Alastor a sense of control.
The question is, isn't Alastor also lying to himself in this way?
He is creating himself as a cruel overlord, a person without a conscience who inflicts suffering on others for fun. It makes me wonder if he hasn't started to believe himself in the character he wants to pretend to be?
Nevertheless, no matter how good Alastor's goals may be attributed to him, or that his actions have a good effect on the hotel and Charlie, he still made a deal with her. He was aware that Charlie would not give up her soul to him and would not do anything against herself. Their deal is that Charlie is to help him like friend to friend when he needs it without hurting anyone, and he will give her information. Quite a specific arrangement and very narrow. To me their deal is a bit of a lifeline for Alastor when he finds himself trapped by his own contract.
[As an aside, I've noticed that a lot of people think that the stitches appearing on Alastor's lips are a sign that he can't talk about his deal. I doubt this because of the design of his character. Alastor was shown at many points to be dealing with voodoo or somehow connected to it. This is indicated by the green symbols that appear when he uses his powers, and the stitching that appears on his mouth probably refers to the very design of the voodoo dolls, which also had their mouths stitched in this way. Ironically in my opinion, voodoo is generally good magic, focusing on healing or helping, which doesn't really fit Alastor. Unless one considers the distinction between white and black magic as it is known in New Orleans. But I also point out that I'm not an expert, but I'm just partly familiar with the subject of voodoo and just wanted to show a reference to Alastor's appearance here].
I think Alastor's worry or uncertainty is most evident when he leads Charlie to Rossie. You can see the look on his face and those wrinkles under his eyes. This could be interpreted as:
he's upset that the angels are about to exterminate in the hotel and the only person who can oppose it is preoccupied with his love problems rather than more important matters.
He is upset/worried that he realises he won't be able to help Charlie this time, so he leads her to the only person who is more knowledgeable about love than him: Rossie.
He is nervous because he sees that he might fail if the hotel is destroyed, and that this might somehow breach his contract.
Alastor and Rossie seem to have a very intimate relationship, which was implied in the episode " Scrambled Eggs" when they were at the Overlords meeting. Now we have confirmation that they are very close friends. Rossie can afford a lot in Alastor's company and he allows her to do so. It also seemed to me that when he met Rossie he relaxed a bit, as the wrinkles under his eyes disappeared for a few scenes.
All in all, I'm not surprised that Alastor and Rossie are friends.
Rossie is the opposite of Alastor in a way. She seems transparent in her feelings and genuinely cares about her cannibals. But she also has the strength and power to allow herself to do so. Alastor, on the other hand, plays and hides emotions all the time, and gains power through fear. Despite this, he gets along very well with Rossie, which may mean he's not quite what he makes himself out to be.
I also think that Rossie's words about it being actions that show true nature and feelings may apply to Alastor and his role in season two in the future. But we can already see this now, for example, in the fact that his duet with Lucifer, where Alastor sang that he wanted to replace Charlie's father, ultimately led to a reconciliation between daughter and father which Alastor seemed to be happy with.
We also have it made clear that Alastor is asexual.
Rossie commented that Alastor could learn manners from Charlie. It is possible that what is meant is that when someone annoys Alastor, he does not mince his words. He makes his opinion clear - Susan is a perfect example of this.
Alastor and Rossie really seem close to each other, such as when they look at each other when Charlie panics, or how they dance with each other or their negativity towards Susan. Additionally, Alastor must have had a close business relationship with Rossie since she had an assignment for him and when she said that he never let her down. I got the impression that this gave him considerable satisfaction. Plus it helped the image he wanted to create for Charlie - that he was reliable.
Alastor also seems to put his faith in Charlie after all. Rather than believing in her plan of salvation for sinners, he believes more in the girl's ability to draw crowds and motivate people to action other than through fear or deals. It is hard to say whether he admires this trait of Charlie's, but he certainly appreciates her for it.
Alastor supported Charlie during her song when she had to convince the cannibals to fight - either by giving her the microphone or showing her a thumbs up. I further related that he was slightly worried/nervous, but also pleased after seeing his actions bear fruit.
Alastor also made it clear to Rossie that he valued Charlie and expected nothing less from her than to thrill the crowds. But the important thing is that he referred to her as the Princess of Hell, not Charlie. Alastor has made it clear for the first time that he wants to fulfil Charlie's potential, this shows that despite the faith he has in her, he still only sees her as the Princess of Hell and not Charlie as someone who is more than just a princess.
A break for now, as it's quite late at my place, so expect the rest of the analysis tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow at the furthest.

Kallamar - God of Pestilence
Tumblr media
Kallamar is a child born at the end of the Great War of the Gods. Orphaned and left to fend for himself, he had to learn to cope somehow. He lived in constant fear that someone might harm or take advantage of him. He hid from the world, barely managing to survive. One day, when he was hiding in a cave of some kind, cold and hungry, he wanted to give up. To fall asleep and never wake up. But that day he had a dream. He saw high mountains on the horizon, a great lake surrounded by forest. And there they stood. A great cobweb, dignified and elegant. They looked as if they were looking for someone. As if they were looking for him. The next day he woke up and wanted to find them. He didn't know why, but he felt they were their family. They were looking for them because even if they hadn't seen each other they already loved each other.
The next day he set out to look for his siblings. He didn't know how far away the place was, but something told him he would eventually find them. During this journey, he discovered that the water was listening to him. He could shape it to his will, as well as find its sources. He also noticed that his wounds were healing faster than usual. He felt as if something was awakening within him. And at night he dreamt.
He was already dreaming not only about the Arachnid, but he was also seeing others. He saw a black cat, a red toad and a worm. They were older, he was too, but the most important thing was that he was happy then.
When he got there, she was gone. It scared him, what if the dreams were just dreams. But then he heard them. ‘I think we are a little late, Kallamar,’ they said in a calm voice. And he burst out crying, running towards them. They embraced in a hug, and Kallamar only whispered their name. ‘Shamura’
Some highlights:
He was a crybaby as a child and never left Shamura's side for the first few years.
He was interested in the uses of various plants. He noticed that, properly prepared, they could speed up the healing of wounds. The older he got, the more interested he became in medicine.
He has a sense of style. His hobby was collecting rare minerals and making jewellery out of them. He bestowed them on his most trusted followers and spouses.
He created engagement rings for Heket and Margo.

Your offense may not have been completely forgotten, but the God of Pestilence appreciated your compliment. He is indeed the most beautiful creature in the entire ocean.
Tumblr media
Perhaps I could fulfill such a frivolous request....
Said Kallamar, extending one of his tentacles in your direction. This wasn't the first time followers wanted to touch him. After all, they loved him. And He appreciated this deep faith. However, he didn't even manage to touch you. You passed out, intimidated by His magnificence.
He caught you before you fell to the ground.
Well that happens sometimes too. It crossed his mind. However, he quickly moved on to other followers. One caught his attention with his perceptiveness and confidence. He was not boisterous, but intriguing.
Tumblr media
@amarieth
He also noticed the little soul hiding behind another follower.
Tumblr media
@paruparuparuparu
He's so pretty. He heard her thoughts.
He smiled gently at her, and abashed, she hid even more.
Some of them are really silly. But why be surprised here. He is God, and they have been given the honor of talking to him. The God of Pestilence thought, and then the whispers reached his ears.
A shudder ran through him, but he pretended that nothing was happening. Sometimes his followers gave him shivers.especially this one.
@issak
Tumblr media
Shamura advised ignoring such followers and not trying to understand their motivations. Such followers are not known whether they were brave enough or perhaps had a wish to quickly visit his younger brother's domain, but they behaved disturbingly. It was better not to fuel their imaginations, although it was such that provided him with the most faith.
However, he remembered to ask Shamure what “tsundere” means. They had to know, after all, they knew so many things. And he also needed to know the meaning of the word.

@lemonlamblaura
Sometimes the right place and time is needed to ask such a question.
The right reading of the moment, the emotions of the other person.
Just what if the other person puts on so many masks that you no longer know which one is real?
You thought this was the right moment. You sat in the front row at his sermon. You absorbed his every word. You listened intently and eagerly to his sermon as if it was directed only to you. You had the impression that your eyes met several times. It was as if he was giving you a sign that he was here for you.
It then crossed your mind that you would ask him about it today. After the sermon, you waited until everyone had left. You knew that he always waited until all the faithful had left the temples. That an his custom.
He approached you, seeing that you were still sitting in the pew.
“Are you leaving, or did something happen?” He asked gently extending his hand toward you. As if wanting to help you get up.
You did so abruptly. You caught his hand in yours, drawing it to your heart. You didn't notice that he flinched. You practically shouted this in one breath.
“I really, really like you! Will you marry me?”
Tumblr media
The first thing you saw were those red eyes.
Usually you saw that beauty and softness in them. That's what you loved. But today you saw something you had never seen. You can't define what it is. A cold shiver ran down your spine.
“What an audacious request, don't you think?” His voice was waspish. Cold, as if you were standing in a field in the middle of a blizzard. He leaned toward you whispering in your ear. “You lurked in the temple, knowing that the time after the sermon is one of the few moments I have to myself, and you dare to disturb it.” He was so close. In another situation you would have enjoyed such attention from him, but not now. Not in this way. “What made you think I would accept it? Because YOU like ME? Do you think that's enough?”
He straightened up. He towered over you, and a coldness radiated from his stature. Those red eyes drilled into your soul. They were drilling it to the core, as if searching persistently for something.
It's time for you to make your move, mortals.
What will you do?
Will you run away knowing that you will then face punishment for insulting your God, or will you try to placate him after all?
I don't advise lying, mortals. Remember that you are talking to the God of Pestilence, who is able to see through your thoughts.

Looking into the darkness
Cult of the Lamb "Masterpost"
“The god of chaos, despite being the youngest of his siblings sowed the greatest fear of the five bishops. Ruler of nature and all sorts of plants, intoxicated with his power from his eyes he lost sight of what was most important. And Brother turned against Brother, and Leshy never saw the light again. He plunged into darkness.”
Tumblr media
Note from the author: I know, I know…. It's been a long time since there's been anything, because I've been consumed by Inktober and a few other things. In November I didn't know what to put my hands in. But I have a bunch of news for you, oh this is the first of them!

When you believe until the last minute
"Heket didn't believe it when they told her that Narinder was planning a betrayal. Her elder brother, despite being sullen and grim, would never hurt those he loves. She did not believe that He could do them harm. She did not believe Shamura's visions when she predicted betrayal of the Red Crown. Visions can be wrong, the future is not fixed. Narinder could not turn away from them. He always said he would be on her side. She did not believe His betrayal when He stood before her and spoke of injustice. When, with a fury unknown to her, he shouted that They have everything and He owns nothing. She did not believe that Narinder, who had always protected her, could raise their hand against her. She wanted to talk... For a moment she did not understand what had happened. She was saying something to him, and then she couldn't croak a word. She felt as if she was drowning. Someone shouted something, and then Kallamar knelt over her. He looked terrified. Heket felt something warm run down my neck. But Narinder couldn't... after all, she was his little sister. He wouldn't hurt his little Heket..."

It's time for the last Bishop, my favorite - Shamura.
Of all the Bishops, their story seems to me the most tragic. By the way, their design has probably changed the most of all when it comes to and sketches.
Tumblr media
Time for some interesting facts about Shamura's history.
- They were born during the time of the great war between the Gods in a time where there were many of them, and everyone wanted absolute power. And such could only be achieved by those who had fully formed their powers and won the 5 crowns. However, they only manifested themselves to those to whom they were destined.
- Shamura grew up in uncertain times and had to quickly learn how to fight. At a young age, they saw that they had powers that would help them survive. They began to train their instincts until they could see a vision of the future, which guaranteed them many victories. But they wouldn't have done it without the knowledge and experience they had always accumulated.
- They had a certain dream since childhood, and when they mastered the vision it became clear. They, along with the rest of their siblings, grew up and happily surrounded the empire they had built. Shamura lived that dream and longed to find them. They knew they would do anything to make that vision a reality.
- They won the crown even before they became adults, and their power (of the crown) awakened a few days later. Unfortunately, this led to more bloody skirmishes between them and other Gods.
- They didn't create their cult intentionally, he just some formed around Shamura, they were a natural conduit. Many followed them because they also sought peace and wanted an end to the war. There were warriors who shed blood with Shamura, and sages who advised and sought knowledge.
- They fought for 300 years developing their cult before they found Kallamara a few decades before the end of the Great War Between the Gods.
- Shamura loves his siblings and will do anything to keep them happy and safe.
- They and Kallamar have a secret that they never shared with the rest of their siblings, it has to do with the crowns, and the rest is a mystery for now.

You should be his family
Masterpost
They had to do it. Narinder gave them no choice. They had to imprison him. Shamura could not allow him to hurt the others. But they failed. Shamura saw Leshy, Heket and Kallamar being seriously injured. It was they who had to stop Narinder. They grabbed him with difficulty. He gave them some wound, knocking off the crown along the way. But Shamura had already caught him in a rune circle. Chains captured him locking him in his domain, and Shamura listened. Every scream from their young brother broke their heart. It was disintegrating. "I'm so sorry." The last lucid thought that ran through their heads before it was shrouded in mist.

I was supposed to protect them…all
Masterpost
His job was to protect his siblings. Not because that was his role. He knew it was something they could do to Shamura as the eldest. But he didn't want his siblings to ever be afraid. He didn't want them to ever experience the helplessness and fear he experienced when he was hiding in the forest before Shamura found him.
That's why he knew he had to defend them. Not because someone tells him to, but because he himself wants to. When they were little he protected them and then taught them to be able to defend themselves if he was not around.
He was supposed to protect them from danger and prepare them for it, but how was he supposed to protect them from it? How was he to hurt his brother to protect the rest? Raise his hand against him. He had never prepared for that. Who could prepare for such a betrayal?
But he had no choice. He had to protect the rest. He could not allow Narinder to hurt Leshy and Heket more. He must not lose the rest. He hesitated only for a moment, but he exposed his guard, and he took advantage of it.
Perhaps in another place or time he would have been proud of his brother. But now he was afraid of him. Pinned to the floor by his own weapon, he felt as vulnerable as when he was alone.

The God of Pestilence strolled among his followers as usual. He absorbed their words of his magnificence. Every single word, full of unadulterated pure faith.
His attention was drawn to one of the followers.
She jumped in the distance waving his arms.
“Kally, do you hear me?” He shouted.
Oh, of course he heard each of his followers.
Always.
He leaned against a nearby pedestal. He leaned over slightly and looked toward that follower, waiting for a follow-up.
@mizavia as if encouraged by the attention given to him, she shouted.
“You look extraordinary gentle at times!”
Gentle? If that's how they see it, he won't forbid them. For such devotion, they deserved him to show them his gentler side. He winked at the follower, smiling cocky.
He will give them what they want, as long as they are loyal. And if they aren't, he'll show them what fear means.
He bared his fangs, and a glint appeared in his eye.
Maybe he should train with Nari? He's had too much energy in him lately and needs to put it to use somehow. Fighting is the best way.
He returned to his walk.

Kallamar - God of Pestilence
Masterpost
It's been a long time since there have been drawings from Cult of the Lamb, so it's time for Kallamar! 🦑✨
Here is the updated look of the ocean god in my style. I've probably mentioned it before, but I find designing characters the most fun - it's not only relaxing, but also a very rewarding activity. 😊
I have to admit that Kallamar was one of the more difficult characters to tackle in the game, but that only made me want to portray him in my own style even more. I focused on his elegance and superiority, combining a deep black colour with shades of gold. These accents add to his majesty and emphasise his regal nature, which suits this bishop perfectly.
Kallamar is the god of pestilence and the second eldest of his siblings with crystal accents that symbolise his domain, Anchordep 🌊.

With power I will surpass them
Cotl Masterpost
"He didn't understand why he couldn't be admired like Them. Everyone adored them. They loved and adored them. Their followers were in awe of them. Yet as soon as they looked at him, he knew they were afraid of him. He didn't need to read their minds, because he could see it in their eyes.
Nevertheless, his siblings loved him. That was enough for him. It soothed the pain and calmed his thoughts.
But that too had come to an end. At first he thought he was delusional. His senses had fooled him, but his siblings were afraid of him. They distanced themselves, although they tried to hide it. Shamura looked at him with sadness. Kallamar did not want to be left alone with him. Heket stopped sharing her worries with him. Leshy stopped following him.
He didn't want to believe it, but the pain in his heart was growing. Maybe they had always been afraid of him and he had only just noticed?
Why was it always happening to him? Why did he only have to be the God of Death? Why did he have to be the end? Why couldn't he be something more?
Of one thing he was sure. He knew what he had to do to change that."

Note
Can I take him on a date please? PLEASE?!
You surprised Him with your courage. Perhaps at another time He would have rejected your proposal.
Not because he doesn't want to have fun. He is the God of Pestilence. Spending time with him is reserved only for those most trusted believers and his spouses.
He is not stupid, even his own faithful if they consider it an act of faith can hurt you.
But this time Kallamar didn't sense evil or warped intentions from you. Besides, he has been very bored lately.
That's why he doesn't see any contraindications.
So, Mortal, what do you propose for our date?
He said in a low voice, gently mussing your hand. A blush covered your face, and the God of Pestilence smiled cocky. He loved to tease his followers. That helplessness of theirs.
Tumblr media
One person made me think about the concept of spouses in my interpretation of Cotl~.
@lemonlamblaura
Tumblr media
A couple of people have already seen Margo and Heket, so it's time for such a collective explanation of how the bishops view spouses and whether they even have them.
Shamura:
Currently, the Shamura do not have spouses. They only have a trusted circle of acolytes.
The God of War views spouses as some version of acolytes. Acolytes act as disciples - trusted believers who, in addition to being extremely loyal, see more than other believers. They ask questions and want to know. Help the cult grow. They are not blind believers who merely follow orders. They act as helpers in leading worship, while spouses, according to Shamura, have a more social role. They are the persons who convey God's will, but they are also their companion for conversation or spending time. The spouse is supposed to make God perceived more materially. He also serves as a person who entertains and deals with relationships in worship.
For Shamura, the spouse is not someone romantic. Not anymore.
I have an idea about Shamura's story, that before she found her siblings she had a spouse and was in love with a mortal man with reciprocity. But love was cruel to them because of which they decided that Mortals and Gods could not enter into a romantic relationship. There are too many differences between Mortals and Gods for them to speak one language. Their siblings do not know
Kallamar:
He has had several spouses. He currently has three (two women and one man). Like Shamura, he sees spouses as certain people for companionship and more direct contact with the faithful. Enjoy spending time on something other than worship management. He does not see spouses as romantic companions, although he enjoys such benefits.
Kallamar values his spouses and even likes them, but knows that they cannot offer him the true love that mortals share with each other. This makes him feel lonely, and for a brief moment he tries not to think that for his spouses, love and deep faith are often one and the same thing. He wishes he could one day see in their mind only love for him as a person, and not love/faith for God. He is very romantic, and likes to spoil his spouses, but sometimes he falls into a kind of frown because of this, so his spouses know that then it is better to avoid him, because they are not able to relieve him.
Naridner:
Officially, there is no spouse.
Many including his siblings (with the exception of Heket) believe that Narinder, as the God of Death, best understands the differences between Gods and Mortals. Therefore, he will never have a spouse, because he knows that love is not for them.
But the truth is that he has a secret lover whom he loves with a sincere and deep love. Naridner sees love as the only pure emotion that allows him to feel alive. He has always been fascinated by love, although he has tried to hide it from Shamura and Kallamar, knowing their opinions on the subject.
Love intrigued him. He saw how much love was pursued by mortals, mourning those who had passed away. How, as part of that love, they can do anything even face it.
Narinder's lover is Forneus. She was the only one who saw his sensitive side and went from being his trusted acolyte to lover. Aym and Baal are his biological children.
Heket:
At first she saw love as something trivial and also impossible for the Gods. More as something unattainable like Kallamar than as something inappropriate like Shamura. However, after conversations with Narinder and meeting Margo, she began to open up to love. She doesn't want to reveal more about her, as she wants to continue the story of their love “Immortal Love” after the new year.
But it will have only Margo.
Leshy:
For now, what I'm talking about is the time before Narinder's betrayal, and back then Leshy was too young to have a spouse. He was not yet a full-fledged God then (his powers/crown were not fully awakened). And between his reaching maturity and Narinder's betrayal, he did not yet have a spouse.
I think this concept doesn't interest him at all even after Nari's betrayal/before the Lamb's Crusade. If it happened that someone would be brave or foolish enough to propose marriage to the God of Chaos, he would not likely enjoy this role for long. For him, spouses would be a kind of toys with which he can do more without any consequences.
