The way Clark said his moms name was so soft

like he didnt know her name until Brainiac mention her. And its like not even Jor-el had time to mention Lara by name. He just call her "your mother". Brainiac didnt even mention her last name Lor-van. Like he dosent know the other side of his family the Lor-van They are all dead but still

Its just like I think that Clark realize that moment that he didnt even know his mom name. Like he didnt know there was a pice of him that was still missing until then .

It just gave the feels

Miracles Come In Pairs

In preparation for the Season 2 Finale of My Adventures With Superman, here’s a piece I did of Superman younger twin siblings Valora-El and Bru-El from The Last Family of Krypton comic series from 2010.

Supermans parental relationships have always been fascinating to me. I love how firmly the Kent's are his parents who loved and raised him, and truly led him to being the man he is. And when he gains access to his father through the fortress, Jor-El doesn't replace PA, he's just a second paternal figure for Clark to rely on. I do wish Lara got more page time, but I can see how four parents can be hard to write.

My Adventures With Superman - Meeting Jor-El

Obviously I have no idea where Tom Taylor will be going with his Dark Knights of Steel elseworld, but the first book pushes the idea that Bruce, despite being a bastard (he's the illegitimate son of late Queen Martha and Jor-El in this) should inherit the throne one day since he's the only one related to the original monarchs of the kingdom, and I can't help but imagine Bruce sitting one the throne one day and he swears to himself to only sire "trueborn children" so no biologically related child of his would ever suffer from growing up as a bastard like he did...and then Damian is introduced to him.

AU of the Wayne family history. At the batkids’ insistence, Alfred finally agreed to read them an old, leather-bound book he’d been holding—a memoir of the very first Wayne.

Clearing his throat, Alfred began in his usual calm, measured tone. "Long ago, a celestial being descended from the heavens, landing in a field owned by a struggling farmer. The celestial arrived in a dazzling ship, unlike anything seen on Earth. But the farmer, desperate to survive, dismantled the ship and sold its parts, making himself a fortune. When the celestial discovered what had happened, he was furious and sought out the farmer to demand justice."

The kids leaned in, totally hooked.

Alfred continued, "The farmer, terrified, begged for forgiveness. He promised that one day, his descendant would marry the celestial's firstborn child to atone for his crime. The celestial, after much thought, relented. He gifted the farmer the rest of the ship as dowry. From that moment on, the Wayne family flourished, their wealth growing beyond imagination."

Bruce, who’d been half-listening while skimming through some files on genetic engineering from the Fortress of Solitude, snorted. "Someone clearly had quite an imagination."

Without saying a word, Alfred flipped the book around and held it up for Bruce to see. The smirk faded from Bruce’s face as his eyes landed on the page. There, drawn in faded ink, was a detailed sketch of the ship… emblazoned with a symbol Bruce recognized immediately.

Alfred straightened, his tone subdued. "It would seem, Master Bruce, that the promise made to Jor-El must now be honored, given that his firstborn son has arrived on Earth."

Bruce froze. He recalled the Fortress’ eccentric behavior toward him and broke out in cold sweat.

Wives, Husbands, Spouses, Freaks the Lot of Them

As you’re probably aware, most Champions were adults when they took on their roles. They have, or at least had lives of their own. Family of their own. Friends of their own. Spouses of their own. Speaking of spouses… genuinely, wholeheartedly, why were all the previous Champions so freaky? This might just be Billy and his extreme aversion of romance cause it’s icky, but… why do you have five wives? What you could possibly need all that for, Billy would never know.

The Gods were also pretty freaky too unfortunately. This actually included Solomon- SOLOMON of all people.

Marvel: “You’re the only one I can trust, Solly.”

Solomon: “Solly…? Never mind. Billy, you do know I had seven hundred wives, right?”

Marvel: *lets out the most scandalized gasp in the world*

Atlas: “What did you expect?”

Marvel: “I- Wha- I- I expected him to be more modest than the rest of you!”

Solomon: “Oh why thank you, Billy.” *proud grandpa*

Yeah, so, everyone’s icky. Gods, mortals, and kings alike. Yay…

Anyways, ignoring that and getting back to the original topic. The Champions were all freaky. It’s an annoyance to Billy not because they had numerous relationships, but rather, it’s because of these relationships he could be talking to someone and then they might remind him of an old wife or husband from however long ago. Like that time he saved a woman who nearly got hit by a car.

Marvel: *puts her down on the sidewalk* “Stay safe, miss.”

Woman: “Thank you, Captain Marvel!” *smiles*

Marvel: *gets the image of a previous wife thrust into his head and unconsciously curls his lip and disgust*

Yeah, that poor woman. He felt so bad when she looked confused and slightly hurt at his reaction. It definitely didn��t help that someone caught it on camera.

There was also that one time with Mr. Superman Sir, or more precisely, his dad. Him and Supes were just hanging out in the Fortress of Solitude when he saw Jor-El.

Marvel: *lead paint stare*

Supes: “Cap? Is something wrong?”

Marvel: “Your dad looks like an old husband of mine.” *doesn’t even register he said that*

Supes: *doesn’t know what to do with this information* “I- uh… cool? I didn’t know you swung that way Marvel?”

Marvel: *snaps out of the lead paint stare* “What way?”
