Next up is Starman (1994) by James Robinson. Jack Knight is the son of golden age hero Ted Knight. Jack never wanted to be a hero he'd rather sell antiques. After Jack's brother is killed Jack has to become a superhero but he does it his own way and in the process he grows closer to his father. One of the comic books of all time.

A while ago I found this essay talking about Reed Richards and his autism coding. This isn’t my writing, just to be clear. While it’s just a draft, I was really impressed with the findings. Of course Marvel has never explicitly stated Mister Fantastic is autistic, but many authors clearly do view the character as on the spectrum.

I’d heavily recommend reading this bit. Heck, it brings up a lot of why I love Mister Fantastic as a character, and how he’s been mishandled by other writers.
