At long last, Rose has actual fur!!! (You would not believe how hard that was to set up, or how many approaches I tried before I settled on this one.)

Not visible in this image is all the work that's gone into Rose's leg rig. Also not visible is the automatic walk cycle I've set up. A lot of work went into both of those, too.

Apart from that, I've also been working on things for other characters. In the past, you may have noticed that crowd scenes were pretty stiff and repetitive. That's because my computer could only really handle having two or three base rigs and models set up in a scene to draw the crowd from--and only two or three animations, accordingly. However, I've now figured out a system that would let me offset and mix and match multiple animations for every individual member of a crowd! I have some other ideas that would add even more dynamism, too....

Over the weekend, I'll try to finish up Rose's automatic walk cycle. Then, it'll be time to integrate all the rig parts and tidy them up. And then, at last, it will be time to move on to another model.

I can't promise the rest of the models will be done in a timely manner. The work on improving Rose has also opened up a lot of ways to improve the others, in a way that will make HBG look dramatically better, as well as make it easier to animate. I can guarantee it's going to take more than a month, maybe two. Fortunately, I'll be having help on background work and animation to help balance out the rest of the workload. I'm going to say this will be at least another 4-5 months of work, for a June or July release. I hope you'll agree that it will be worth it. Until next time!

What if Dick Grayson told his father what happened with Tarantula?

I'm working on the next chapter of my fic for this story and just posting parts I might use here.

Bruce sat next to Dick as his son sat on the ledge of a building.

Bruce: I got your letter... Why didn't you... Why didn't you tell me what she did to you?

Dick (stammering): Would you be confident enough to tell anyone you- That she enjoyed it... She took advantage of you when you couldn't fight back?

Dick shook staring forward. Bruce frowned sympathetizing with his son.

Dick: I hated it! I hate her! I hate that she won't leave me alone! I hate that I can't get the memories out of my head! I hate that she kept mocking me! Why couldn't I fight back? Why could I- Why didn't she listen to me when I said no?

Dick covered his mouth, holding his head down as he looked below his feet of building.

Dick: She raped me and I couldn't... stop it. You think I'm weak don't you?

Bruce put his arm around his son's shoulder then pulled him in for an awkward dad hug, but comforted him.

Bruce: I've never been through this, but I'd actually be an asshole to say you were weak and should've fought back. She hurt you in your most... Vulnerable moment. Honestly if I didn't have my code, I'd hit her with the Batmobile.

Bruce kept hugging Dick as the man took a heavy breath, closing his eyes.

Dick: Why are you even near me? I've been pushing you away-

Bruce: You're my son. I'm not going to turn my back on you especially in this case. I will do everything in my power to keep her away from you. I have the funds and power to do so.

Dick: Papa?

Bruce: Yes?

Dick: You really don't blame me?

Bruce: Don't blame yourself, this Tarantula woman is the one who's to blame. I'm just... Sorry. I thought she was just a weird woman. I'm so sorry that she did that to you. I'm so sorry.

Dick sniffled, staying in the hug as the world around him shifted from the roof, to the street, to... His bedroom. He looked around confused wondering how he ended up in his room when he heard the voice of a young child.

He turned to his side, then jolted seeing a little boy next to him.

Young Dick Grayson: Hi!

Dick: Where am I? What's going on?

Young Dick Grayson: You're reliving past traumas and while the fear toxin is flushed out of your body, we're going to go on a journey together. Come on.

The younger version of him held out his hand, but Dick swatted it away, walking past the younger version of him and opening the door. He wasn't sure what would happen next, but he just wanted to get over what he was battling.
