#Izuku being in Miraculous

Read your Childhood AU for Izuku growing in Paris...so add this as a bonus:
...Izuku getting the ladybug miraculous and Chloe getting the cat
//...*smirks* Nonnie, you have intrigued me with creative determination. And took time to draw this up for you~
*cracks knuckles and stretches back and arms* With that out of the way, I think this would be a VERY interesting concept. Only because if this is ONE of the paths Izuku goes on in the Childhood Friends AU, then perhaps it would play out like this:
If we're going back to Origins this time around...but with Izuku and Chloe instead of Marinette and Adrien...well...
That would mean Emilie is gone by this time (remember in Childhood Friends AU part one, Emilie was still alive when Izuku first moved to Paris. So it would be *count fingers* probably maybe nine years? Almost a decade would've passed. Let's assume a year before the beginning of the last year of collège, Emilie mysteriously vanished. Thus enters Hawkmoth.
BUT WAIT~!
We could maybe change that up a bit~
For example, considering we have Chat Noir!Chloe this time around, what if Hawkmoth was...I dunno...Audrey?
"But Riri, how?! Audrey is in New York at this time?!"
But that's the beauty of it~
People would think that Audrey is in New York, there is no possible way that The Queen of Style would be Hawkmoth.
"But what purpose would Audrey have the Miraculous?"
With Emilie alive, Gabriel wouldn't have use for the Miraculous.
This means that Tomoe Tsurugi might have to change targets.
And who better than a fellow woman in the rich and powerful?
Audrey would be perfect for the role considering that she is 1) Someone familiar in the "Cult of the Wealthy" if we've seen in the episode Gabriel Agreste , and 2) She is someone who also is an ambitious individual that might have goals in getting a wish.
What Audrey's wish might be, who knows?
So, in turn, Audrey is given the Butterfly Miraculous and is soon named: Queen Butterfly.
With that in mind, Audrey tries out her powers as Queen Butterfly.
Meanwhile, in Collège Françoise Dupont, a new school year has jut begun and Izuku is surprisingly in a different class than Marinette and Adrien.
Instead of being in Bustier's class, he ended up in the class of the infamous and strict Science Teacher, Olga Mendeleiev.
This caused Chloe to switch herself over to that class too.
And so, while on the way to school, Izuku spotted an old man trying to cross the road.
Naturally being the good boy he was, he helped him cross and even carried his bag for him.
"Thank you, young man. How may I ever repay you?"
Izuku assures the old man that no payment is necessary and soon waves goodbye before heading into school.
A smile was on the old man's face, straightening his posture as he walked away, satisfied and intrigued.
A few minutes later, Chloe was running late. Curses for her alarms not waking her up or Jean Claude not doing his job. Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!
And before she got out the car, she spotted an old man on the ground, groaning in pain.
Normally, Chloe would ignore the hermit of a geezer and go on her way.
But she then paused, strangely hearing a voice of Inko Midoriya in her head saying in a soft tone:
"Have a nice day, Chloe-chan! And remember, a kindness given, will receive kindness back~"
Groaning, Chloe reluctantly helped the old man up, and asked if he was okay. Even clicking her fingers to order her driver to take the man to the nearest clinic to help him.
As she stormed away to school, and the old man was driven to some local doctor...a voice spoke inside of the man's shirt once he was alone.
"Master...I don't think she'd be a good candicate."
The man would smile, stroking at his goatee, "Who knows? Sometimes the most unlikely people have the greatest destinies."
With being in a different class, Izuku was no longer Kim's target of bullying...but that means someone else became the target.
Ivan still turns into Stoneheart after being teased by Kim.
Izuku springs into action. While he doesn't have a quirk, it didn't mean he was going to stay still! All Might would do the same!
He rushed out the doors of the school, only to be knocked down by a girl with reddish brown hair and glasses as she ran past him.
Marinette spots him, and helps him up.
"I should follow after Alya. She's new in Paris and I don't want her to get into trouble on her first day here!"
"I'll go with you."
The two soon follow after Alya, but soon were captured by the police and escorted back to their homes to be safe.
Chloe, meanwhile, was already home when she saw something shining on her vanity desk.
At the same time, Izuku was in his own room when he saw the strange looking jewellery box.
"What's that doing here?"
The two of them open it at the same time.
When Chloe first saw Plagg, she immediately screamed and started throwing stuff at him while yelling "EWWWW SOME FLYING RAT IS IN MY ROOM!"
"I'm not a flying rat. That's Mullo. And I'm hungry!"
Meanwhile, Izuku was much calmer when faced to face with Tikki.
"So...lemme get this straight...you're a Kwami, a being that has powers to give me and become a superhero?"
Tikki would smile in pride, "That is correct!"
"....Alright, tell me what I should do, Tikki-san."
Tikki is ecstatic when explaining about the Miraculous and his role as the new Ladybug holder, even though it is a first in centuries to have a male as a holder. But she liked him because of how courageous and kind he was.
"Tikki-san, Spots On!"
Thus, Izuku transforms into Tīrumushi (literally translate into Teal Bug in Japanese)
Meanwhile, it took a few more minutes for Chloe to calm down, and Plagg was feeling a headache come on.
"So...I can turn into a hero with this tacky ring?"
"It's not tacky, and yes. All you have to say is Plagg, Claws Out! to transform and then--"
"PLAGG! CLAWS OUT!"
"Wait, hold on ya brat, Ineedtoexplaaaaaaaaain---!!!"
Thus, Chloe Bourgeois turns into Féline Noire.
With being instructed by Tikki on how to use his abilities as a Ladybug Hero, Tīrumushi easily found Stoneheart and mentally started strategising on how to defeat the Akuma.
"Although...did Tikki-san not say that I would have a partner?"
As if on cue, Féline Noire rushed into the scene and kept whacking the monster like villain with her bo-staff.
"AHHHH! MISS! YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING THAT--"
But it was too late, as Stoneheart started to grow bigger with each hit that the cat heroine inflicted.
Looking frustrated, Tīrumushi used his yo-yo to grab at Féline Noire and pulled her away from the akuma and scolded her.
"Are you out of your mind?!" The Ladybug hero chided at the bored looking feline heroine, as he untied her and folded his arms, "Now the villain is going to be even harder to defeat now!"
This caused the blonde cat to roll her eyes as she scoffed, "Well, how else were we supposed to defeat this creep, huh? Hold hands and sing kum-ba-ya to it?" She said sarcastically.
"...Unbelievable. And you're supposed to be my partner?!"
"Partner?" Féline Noire looked him up and down for a moment then snorted, "Dressed like that? Surely not. Besides, I don't work with weirdos that don't have a fashion bone in their body.
Tīrumushi smacked a hand over his masked face as he groaned, rolling his eyes upwards, as if wondering to Kami-sama on how this girl has gotten a powerful object like the Miraculous of the Cat?
Remembering how All Might had many partners in his career, Tīrumushi realizes that if they were going to defeat Stoneheart...
"We're going to have to work together--"
"No thanks."
Tīrumushi's jaws dropped, "Excuse me?"
"Listen here, Mister Spots, and listen good."
"My name is Tīrumushi--"
"I don't care what sushi you are--"
Tīrumushi breathed in quietly to reign in his temper...which is a first.
"The name is Féline Noire~ Remember that after I defeat the monster and save the day~"
"W-wait, Féline Noire, you can't just--" And the male hero sighed as he watched her pole-vault away and after Stoneheart, "...Looks like I'm going to have to think of a plan and fast."
With that said, Tīrumushi swung his yo-yo and swung after them.
It was like she forgot his warning, because soon Féline Noire kept on attacking Stoneheart once more.
When Tīrumushi arrives in the football stadium where they were, he observed them at first.
But then his eyes widened when he saw that Alya and Marinette was there also, Alya filming the whole thing and Marinette looking nervous and worried.
When Stoneheart picked up a goat post and net to throw at Féline Noire, who dodged easily and---
It felt like the world was going in slow motion.
Seeing his childhood friend in danger. Marinette was in danger.
'What am I doing? Why am I running? Why can't I stop?'
"LUCKY CHARM!"
Tīrumushi activated his powers and soon grabbed the object that appeared before him, and it was like his body moved first before his brain. He didn't know why he just suddenly started to remember his past...before he came to Paris.
"Do you think...I could...be a hero, too?"
It was a question that he would ask himself at the time. Despite not having a quirk, could he live to be a hero like All Might?
No.
Memories of his book of heroes, notes he wrote himself on each person of their strengths, weaknesses...devising plan after plan of scenarios against villains of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds...
"I can be a hero now."
Tīrumushi kicked the goal post away from the girls, watching it fly to the side and landed in front of them heroically. Alya's eyes shined in amazement while Marinette looked in wonderment.
"Are you girls okay?" The hero would ask, looking over them in concern.
Alya squealed, but then her eyes widened and pointed behind him.
"BUG BOY, LOOK OUT!"
The Ladybug hero then turned around easily as he soon rushed at the monster, holding his Lucky Charm as he then picked up a hose and held it close, and had a big smile on his face. Like All Might would. To assure the citizens he could save them with a smile.
"COME AND GET ME, VILLAIN!"
Stoneheart roared, already having captured Féline Noire and now held her in his rock-like fist, and was now making a grab for Tīrumushi next. Smirking, he let himself be captured, and then turned his head to look at Marinette.
"MISS! TURN ON THE HOSE!"
Marinette snapped out of her daze as she rushed towards the faucet that connected the hose nearby, frantically turning on the water as she watched how Stoneheart's fist opened thanks to the object of Tīrumushi's (which seemed to be some sort of diver's suit) being filled with water.
Tīrumushi spotted a dark glowing ball of paper on the ground and soon picked it up, and broke it. He saw the butterfly fluttering away, and he narrowed his eyes as he twisted his yo-yo and reached to capture it.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma!"
He caught it, purified it as Tikki had told him, and released it.
Tīrumushi smiled as he watched the white butterfly float away happily, and waved at it.
"Bye bye, little butterfly..."
Looking towards Stoneheart, he watched as the stones crumbled away and Ivan was back to normal. Quickly with fast reflexes, Tīrumushi caught Féline Noire in his arms after she was released, then looked down at the feline heroine with a small smile.
"Well, well...what was it you said about you saving the day~?"
He was expecting some sort of back talk from the cat, but he was surprised she was quiet. The green haired hero looked down at her and saw she was staring at him strangely, mouth parted and eyes were...were they sparkling?
"Wow..." She would murmur, Tīrumushi slowly placed her down and she then flustered for a moment, "That...you did...wow..."
"You said wow, twice."
A bright smile was featured on his face, while Féline Noire looked embarrassed and huffed.
"You did exceptionally. And I...I was totally useless..."
"Well, maybe next time you'd listen to me and we could've worked together like a team," He then offered a fist bump out to her, and softened his gaze towards her, "Hopefully we won't be seeing anymore villains like that Stoneheart fellow, anytime soon. But if we do? We'll be ready, together. Okay?"
Féline Noire looked at the offered fist, then had a small smile before she connected her own towards his.
"Pound it."
Needless to say, Tīrumushi and Féline Noire thought that this was a start of something amazing.
Alya rushed towards them to get an interview, but with Tīrumushi's earrings beeping, he knew he had to go before he transform.
So, he escaped, and left Féline Noire to deal with the reporter.
Who, in turn, made the TealBlog.
Marinette, on that day, felt her heart skip a beat at the hero.
"Wow...he really was...Miraculous."

it's a story about hands (reprise)
Yeah, okay, today's the day.
I gave my blog that title for a reason, you know, and it has loomed over me for years because the hand motif is absolutely everywhere and you could go on about it forever.
Maybe that's something I'll never actually attempt to do, but this chapter, we reached a breaking point.
Before I continue, I need to give a big, big disclaimer: I do not have a physical disability, so I'm not able to speak about that from the standpoint of representation as a first-hand perspective. I have at least listened to enough disabled people to know that fictional characters who become amputees only to miraculously gain their limbs back is, um, a trope. Disabled people in general being "healed" is a conception we would really prefer to avoid here. Not to call people out, but I don't think we're giving enough space to acknowledge that.
I don’t feel comfortable making the judgement call about what should happen. I’m leaving that open. I also don't want to downplay people's emotional reactions. Honestly, I don't know if I can accurately define the line between acknowledging real pain vs. ableist pity. But I’d like to talk about the possibilities of what could happen. Other characters have definitely gotten permanent disabilities as a result of their hero work, or even just the side effects of their quirk. But, for better or worse, I don't think this case is really about representation. Not that Horikoshi won't do that justice. He might. What I'm saying is that's not his purpose for having Izuku lose his arms. It's meant to be symbolic, so we can explore what it means. The other thing I’m keeping in mind here is that Horikoshi is notorious for playing with our expectations, like, alllllll the time. I mean, just take a few chapters ago for a classic example. Eri appeared at the end, and we all assumed she was about to take some sort of action to save someone with her quirk. Then, immediately following, we were given an explanation for why that wouldn’t be happening. And now it’s clear he wanted to do that “fake out” not just as a silly cliffhanger prank, but specifically so we would know not to suspect that Eri could be the miraculous solution to Izuku’s loss of his arms. Rest assured, there is no easy way out of this.
The expectation at play in this particular instance is an old one. It’s very understated, but its subtext has burned so brightly, you’d be a fool not to notice it. It sits with anticipation like one half of a call and response. Man, I was so certain. Lots of people still are. I was really looking forward to printing the panel where it happened onto a t shirt and wearing it proudly. All the hand motifs in this story radiate thematically from a single moment, the one that started it all for Izuku.
It raises all kinds of questions about the act of saving, who needs saving, why, what does it mean, what are the dynamics of power, politics, honesty, exploitation, compassion, pity, disdain, sacrifice. Katsuki has dealt with many of these since he first rejected Izuku’s hand. While Izuku was the one who was convinced Katsuki would keep on rejecting him…
…Katsuki was the one who kept that moment in his mind all these years and eventually came to regret it.
Katsuki is the one yearning for that hand-hold, the one who has imbued it with so much more weight than it ever originally had. Izuku, in contrast, does not allow himself to dwell on what he wants. To illustrate this difference, we need to look at another piece of foreshadowing:
Ugh, do y'all remember when lots of folks were complaining about how there never seemed to be actual consequences for Izuku's destructive treatment of his own body? I don't blame them, I was concerned and confused about it too. There were several "fixes" along the way. Recovery Girl healed him, but left a physical reminder. Then he started training to fight with his legs… sometimes. Then he got support items. All of these were unsatisfying non-conclusions because they didn't present Izuku with a lasting enough impression to change in a meaningful way. They didn't address his core, his origin.
Of course, that all changed this chapter. Now it looks like our frustration was inflicted intentionally. With the current context in mind, all of these moments look more sinister, like this day was always gonna come because they kept putting bandaids on a deep emotional and psychological wound. The problem is pretty much spelled out for us here:
As Katsuki put it, he just doesn’t take himself into account, ya know? He doesn’t care what happens to him. And he lies about it, to keep others from worrying, to keep them safe. To keep them from returning the favor and putting themselves in harm’s way for his sake. His motivations are noble,
…but what about the little boy inside Izuku? Who saves him?
This is all about Izuku giving himself up to the point that he literally has no more to give. The thing is, I bet he saw this coming. He knew his limits and decided to keep going anyway, because his personal safety and wellbeing are not important. Now that way of thinking has come back to bite him because the fight isn’t over yet, and he’s already made his sacrifice. So now we know who will be more distraught over this. Not Izuku—Katsuki.
It’s not about Izuku becoming disabled, it’s about how Katsuki wanted to use the intertwining of their fingers to communicate that he would never let go. Never stop valuing him most. Never let himself make the mistake of rejecting him again. Never let Izuku be so reckless with his life. To say: “we are in this together.”…if only Katsuki believed he deserved to be able to say such things. To reach out his hand would have been the ultimate way to simply imply them and let Izuku be the one to decide. Then, to feel their hands clasped together would be more than either of them dared hope for, but so beautiful, so right. A moment they’ve waited their whole lives for.
Yeah. That’s what we were expecting. We’ve been so comfortable. Horikoshi gave us all the signs. He tempted and teased us over and over. BUT. You know he does this thing were he gives us a desirable, completely plausible and simple thing to look forward to, and then he snatches it away. And THEN he replaces it with something much better, something we were not expecting at all because it seemed too good to be true. That’s exactly what happened when Himiko snatched Izuku away, and we were robbed of the chance to see him and Katsuki fight together. In hindsight, though, I’m glad things went a different way because now there’s so much more depth and angst on display. Likewise, in the present moment, we may consider how, as one door closes, another opens.
As wonderfully meaningful as the hand-hold would have been, perhaps it is still too simple a resolution for Izuku, for his and Katsuki’s relationship. Tbh, it could have been done like 100 chapter ago. At this point, there’s so much more potential. There are a couple of ways it could go. If Izuku stays armless, Katsuki will be forced to use other methods to get his point across. He’ll have to do something else, or say what he means, or both. Yes, I’m talking about what you think I’m talking about. If I say it, I just might jinx it (lol), but I mean it. I’m being serious. Either way, if Izuku did get his arms back in the end, I’m sure that it wouldn’t be an easy fix. It would be hard-won against Izuku’s self-destructive mindset, and/or by Katsuki’s conviction. Again, I say this knowing it is not meant so much as a representation of disability, but as a representation of Izuku’s greatest character flaw taken to the extreme. I know this might sound harsh, like, hasn’t he been through enough? I get that, but… I’ve said it before and I say it again: Izuku is stubborn as hell.
I wish I had a resounding final note to end this on, but I kinda don’t. I’m not sure what’s best. Now we just have to wait and see what Horikoshi has in mind.

mha marriage headcanons<3
INCLUDES: bakugo, iida, midoriya, denki, kirishima, sero
WARNINGS: implied fem reader, vulgar language, sexual themes.
MASTERLIST
WORDS: 0.9K
KATSUKI BAKUGO
• the both of you always have hectic schedules...being pro heroes and all.
even when you guys are apart, you never shut up about each other. Especially bakugo whether that be interviews, events, etc. he's always about 'my wife my wife my wife.'
when both of you finally have time off, you need to be physically ripped off one another. hip to hip, chest to chest, lips to lips, you name it.
he loves it when he's finally able to relax from his hard days and come home and cuddle with his wife, he's not able to show his timid side all the time, he was so thankful for you.
you were the sun, moon, and stars for him. nothing you could do was bad in his eyes.
that's why if anyone ever talked shit about you, he'd lose his shit.
pull the "do you know who the fuck I am? Do you know who my wife is?"
he's just so happy to have you.
IZUKU MIDORIYA
the. perfect. husband.
anything you want, you get.
hair? done. nails? did.
he feels bad that he's never really there due to him being the top pro hero. so he always makes sure you're taken care of.
multiple calls day and night, he loves to hear your voice...or moans.
loves to show you off when he can, usually at special events where he's able to bring a date.
"hey! have you met my wife? she's lovely isn't she?"
"yeah my wife and I have been married for three years now, she's the most perfect wife I could ever have!"
TENYA IIDA
high school sweethearts, proposed at graduation.
had the biggest wedding out of everyone
values both of your privacy very deeply, one day he caught a peeping tom at your vacation villa. finding out that it was the paparazzi, he punched him square in the mouth.
wants kids, very, VERY, badly.
preferably 3 (2 boys and 1 girl).
if you ever were pregnant, he'd spoil you ROTTEN.
not one finger would be lifted.
sadly, Iida is the type to have favorites (he's a girl dad, no questions)
will do anything and everything for you, sometimes he does too much.
"I don't need your help, Iida"
"baby please."
SHOUTO TODOROKI
he didn't love you at first...
forced into a quirk marriage, it was cold, quiet, and lonely.
things would be so awkward, laying in a bed with a stranger that you are miraculously married to.
he knew that you didn't want your marriage to turn out like this, not speaking to each other only when necessary, empty conversations, and no signs of love or adoration besides a hand held in public outings.
so he decided to get to know you.
sooner than later, your relationship began to blossom into a beautiful relationship. the both of you felt like teenagers falling in love, the bond you discovered was so deep and intimate, it was love at second sight.
he became absolutely smitten for you, so smitten, he decided he wanted to get re-married. and you gladly complied.
BIG RING. BIG WEDDING. BIG CAKE.
he cried seeing you walk down the aisle, he honestly cried the whole wedding. he was so thankful for a woman like you in his life.
HUGE HONEYMOON.
EJIRO KIRISHIMA
beautiful marriage, a happy home , and way too many kids. six youngsters in total, 4 girls and 2 boys.
no one expected you to have so many kids, he just can't help to be all over your beautiful body.
from the loud tea partys with sharp plastic tiaras and itchy too-toos, to the late video game nights, he loves every moment with his children. and to top it off, he gets to kiss you goodnight.
even though you two have so many children, they have never been seen by the public. only photos of them when they were just born.
if he ever found out that his children were exposed to the media, he will go apeshit.
loves all of his kids, there are no favorites in this household.
but if he did have a favorite, it would be you.
DENKI KAMINARI
also, high school sweethearts, split up before graduation but got back together two years later.
it took a couple of years before Denki popped the big question, he wanted to be sure about your relationship before he made such a big commitment.
the proposal was intimate and private, just like the wedding. only your and his closest friends and family could attend. he wanted to make sure things were absolutely perfect.
the both of you are the peoples' favorite couple, always seen on variety shows/competitions.
CANNOT keep his hands off of you, no matter where you are.
in private or in public, his hand would be on your lower back when standing, or when you'd be sitting next to him he would rest his head on top of yours whilst his hand caressing your thigh.
from someone who is known to be of higher energy, he loves that he's able to be his calmer self around you.
he just can't get enough of you.
SERO HANTA
the last to marry
he loves you SO MUCH
he also had a big wedding, but the honeymoon was amazing, so amazing, it became the reason why you had two beautiful children today.
while they may not be angels, they are yours.
sometimes sero and your little devils would play pranks on you, hearing their loud giggles and tiny footstep ran away from you, it was annoying but you loved it.
sometimes you would come home from a patrolling shift and see sero singing the kids to sleep as he softly strings at his guitar.
you think to yourself how you wouldn't have it any other way.
hello guys!!! glad to be back for a little, I know I've been gone for a long time but I've been in school and it's currently beating my ass. hopefully I'll have more time to write soon.
also, like my new user and theme??

One of the things I dislike most about fandoms is the hypocrisy of their fans. And this is about ships again, yes (it's about characters too ngl).
Every anti-Bakudeku/Catradora fan says things like "How can you ship couples like these? It's so abusive! It's disgusting! Catra/Bakugo were so mean towards Adora/Izuku! Catradora/Bakudeku is so toxic and you shouldn't like it!" and then, when talking about Hiccstrid people always love them together. Even if Astrid was also a bully to Hiccup. Even if her development was null (don't say she had development, her "redemption" arc was shit and she needed more time in screen and more scenes between her and Hiccup to change from "I hate all the dragons" to "I was wrong about them". And one scene with an OST called "Romantic Flight" is not enough to make her redemption believable). Talking about development, do I really have to say that you hate Catradora/Bakudeku, but at least Catra and Bakugo apologized to Adora and Izuku? Astrid didn't say sorry to Hiccup for bullying him/hurting him. And you should be aware of that.
Bakugo and Catra didn't redeem in one day, they didn't get up one day and decided to be nicer. No, they had to work in their redemption and they also had to work in their relationship with the people they hurt (Izuku and Adora). Astrid didn't do that. All she needed to change was flying in a dragon with the person she used to hate.
Having all of that in mind, tell me, which relationship would be more healthy, logical and believable? The ones where the bully had to work hard to make amends for their mistakes, to heal their scars to make it better for the MC? The ones where the bully apologized to their victim, to the people they hurt? Or the one where all it took to change from "I hate you so much" to "I like you" was one scene, and they didn't even apologize for being a bully/being a bad person? Think about that.
And think about another thing too. A girl hurting a boy is bad. "But she-" No. "But she's not being cruel and she-" Enough. Don't fucking justify female-on-male violence. Violence is violence. If you hate Bakugo/Catra so much for hurting Izuku/Adora, then treat Astrid the same way, because she was not an angel before changing. She's not innocent. She was a bully too. And if you despise Bakugo/Catra's past actions, despise Astrid's past actions too.
Where I also saw Double Standard in media is in shows where there's a female character stalking a male character. Two examples that come to my mind right now are Hinata Hyuga from Naruto and Marinette Dupain-Cheng from Miraculous Ladybug.
The thing about them is that a lot of people love them. A lot of people love a female character stalking a male character. Dear God, Marinette learned the daily schedule of Adrien, and she even traveled to another country for him. Because she couldn't bear thinking he was in another country where she couldn't see what was he doing. That's not freaking normal, you guys. "She was a girl" "She didn't know what was she doing" "She's just in love". Excuse me- What. the. hell. Okay. So you're saying you're okay with a girl being so jealous that everytime her "crush" talks to a girl she needs to be around. You're okay with a girl entering her crush's house without permission (Do you know that's a crime, right?). You're okay with a girl having her bedroom full of photos of her crush (and I'm not talking about a fictional character from a show she likes. I'm talking about a real person. Because in Miraculous Ladybug's world, Adrien is Marinette's classmate, not a character from a show). I'm sorry, but if you think that's okay, there's something wrong with you. People can like someone and have a crush, sure, but what she has is an obsession. What she's doing is not normal. (And she can do that in the show, after all she's a character, but don't act like she's a nice person and an innocent person because she isn't. And definitely don't see her actions as a normal thing).
People, please, don't think what she's doing is "iconic" or something like that. If you're watching this show, please, don't do the same as her with your crush because is awful and disgusting. She's not "cute" for doing this. She has a problem, I'm being serious.
If she had a better love story with Adrien, like she did in the movie, I would understand the Adrinette ship because in the new movie it's just beautiful and wholesome and it's actually healthy. But when it comes to the show, the Adrinette ship can't be nothing more than toxic. So stop acting like Marinette's actions towards Adrien are okay (Yes, Adrien's actions towards Ladybug weren't okay neither, but this post is about female characters).
What Hinata Hyuga did -in comparison with Marinette- is not that bad, but even then, following her crush (Naruto Uzumaki) everytime he's with his friends/classmates is not nice. It's not cute. It's not something people should do. And the Naruhina ship honestly makes no sense. Okay, I get it. It's the type of romance we all want to have. We all want our crush to fall in love with us. We all want to have a relationship with the person we used to have a crush on. But if you want to include that trope if your story, if you want them to end up together in a show/book/movie, give them development. The ship has to feel natural.
We have to feel/see the chemitry. And I saw (and still see) no chemistry between Naruto and Hinata. Sasunaru, on the other hand, has a lot of emotional moments together and moments when they bond (their chemistry is right there). And it's not for my own preference, but they would have made a better couple. Mostly because they shared more screen time with each other. Even though Shikanaru and Gaanaru are also good options for a canon ship. Because they also had chemistry. But Naruto's love for Hinata in my opinion didn't feel natural. It was forced.
After all of this, let me say something more. You probably don't care about a girl stalking a boy in fiction. You're probably like "She's not doing anything wrong" "She's a teenager" "Stop being judgmental, she's a good character" "She's a nice person". If what they do it's okay for you, let me ask you a question. What if their gender was reversed? Yeah. Imagine if Marinette and Hinata weren't girls. Imagine if they were boys. Imagine if a boy went to another country to control the actions of another girl. Imagine if a boy entered his crush's house without permission. Imagine if a boy stalked the girl he likes to see if she's talking to another boys. Imagine if a boy had pictures of the girl he likes in his bedroom. What would you think then? Oh- You would think it's disgusting? It would be disgusting for you, right? Why? Because it's a boy?
People, have this in mind:
👏👏👏 If a boy does something bad and a girl does the same thing they both need to be treated the same way 👏👏👏
A girl hitting a boy isn't funny. It shouldn't be played for fun. As well as a boy hitting a girl. Neither of them is funny. And neither of them can be justified.
A girl stalking a boy isn't funny. As well as a boy stalking a girl. Neither of them is funny. And neither of them can be justified.
That's why I ask you to stop being two-faced. If you despise someone's actions, you despise someone's actions, whether it is a boy or a girl. You want equality? Then fucking stop with the double standard.
A bad action is a bad action, no matter who makes it. Period.

There's a really great point that @sapphic-agent brought up about Bakugou's lack of character development, and it's that whenever the narrative is in a position to call him out for his fuck ups, it never happens.
Bakugou's stans love to insist that he's faced the consequences for his behavior and learned from his mistakes, except he really hasn't.
I'm not going to be talking about Aldera or even his bullying of Izuku at UA, but we all know how that worked out. I'm going to be talking about the other things that he's done.
He (and Kirashima) deliberately disobeyed Thirteen's orders to stay back and let her take care of Kurogiri, and as a result, she got distracted and was thus severely injured by him (no joke, I thought she died when I first saw that episode). Is this followed up on? No. Somehow, Thirteen is miraculously okay, and then it's on to the Sports Festival.
The Sports Festival is its own level of messed up, so I won't really get into that either, except we all know what happens and how it ends.
What I will be talking about is the Training Camp, and how instead of listening to orders to stay back at camp, Bakugou RUNS TOWARDS THE VILLAINS because he stupidly believes that he can take them in a fight. When Izuku, Shouji, and Todoroki find him and inform him that he's the target, he STILL TRIES BREAKING FREE SO HE FIND THEM. How does this end for him? His stupid ass gets kidnapped. He gets rescued, they all move on to the Provisional Hero License Exam, and this is where Bakugou FOR ONCE faces the consequences of his actions: he fails the exam due to his attitude towards the "victims".
Does he reflect on this? Absolutely not.
Instead, he whines about "being the reason All Might retired". Now, this would have been somewhat compelling if he actually reflected on WHY he was kidnapped. Instead, he makes it all about him and his ego. Rather than talking about how regrets serving himself up to the villains on a silver platter or WHY they would think he's villainous enough to join the LOV or why the media doesn't believe UA can get a handle on his behavior... he makes it all about his and Izuku's non-rivalry.
And how does this end? He throws a tantrum over not being chosen by All Might, and All Might comforts him and lets him in on One For All.
Tell me how Bakugou is supposed to have learned from this.

I'm here with more DFO propaganda 🙌
I wholeheartedly believe that Izuku was the kid to escape afos grip and greet every stranger he saw
Baby izu: *runs to greet a rando. Hi, my names Izuku!
Afo:*sprinting after him shouting, Ducky, what have we said about stranger danger!!!
It's super ironic, I know 🤣
Every single parent teacher conference AFO has attended, he ended up traumatizing the teacher, so inko decided to dress him in big, cuddly sweaters to make him less intimidating. Cut to AFO sweating in his itchy sweater, trying not to pop the teachers head like a zit as they talk about Izukus B on his math test.
His son doesn't deserve a B because he's perfect in every single way. His ducky does no wrong.
But while we're on the topic of school, I fully endorse the idea that AFO was forced to sit in those tiny chairs for kids while meeting with Izukus preschool teacher. It's happened, Inko probably took video proof only for the photo to miraculously disappear the next day.
Oh, and he WAS a PTA parent, For sure, he attended every board meeting and had beef with a woman named Denis.
I do believe that being centuries old can get boring, and AFO not just collected companies but different job titles as well. Yes, he went to medical school. Yes, he went to law school. Yes, he owns a toy company known for its all might figures. And yes, he has to do a physical examination of Izuku every time he sees him, checks his eyes and his teeth, scolds him for not sleeping enough, and complains that he doesn't eat enough either. IZUKU IS TIRED, he's so used to ignoring his own wellbeing because he doesn't view it as important, and here comes AFO like a bull in a China shop, screaming about how Izuku hasn't eaten in 5 hours.
Afo has a storage quirk, and despite what everyone thinks, it doesn't hold torture devices or dead bodies. No, it holds snacks and water bottles because Izuku can't take care of himself.
He's a menace to everyone, and in everything, it only makes sense he's a menace with his family. 😌

Im pretty convinced Horikoshi just read a bunch of fanfictions and took out whatever he found popular and inserted it into the manga ending.
Like quirkless teacher Izuku? Definitely rings a bell
Katsuki holding out his hand for Izuku to take it? Don't need to elaborate more on that
A bullied child running up to Deku asking him if he could be a hero too? I'm pretty sure we all thought at some point that that could be a possible ending for the manga
Time skip after graduation because they're just not really hanging out anymore and then reconciling years later as work team and they realize now as adults that their childhood feelings ran much deeper than they thought so romance starts to bloom between them-
Although I kind of miss the "Izuku being Dynamight's number one fan" one. And ngl if the "All for One is Deku's dad" thing turned out to be true then the list would be pretty much complete.
But also, pushing away my disappointment and completely ignoring that I'm losing my sanity over the ending, do you guys realize Hori literally turned the ending into a fanfic?
Like Katsuki and Deku barely being in contact for years and then one day years later miraculous circumstances bring them back into each other's lives so now they're working as a hero team and start to catch up on all the missing years...and then their 16-year-old selves feelings would come back and they realize again how important they are to each other except now they're adults and not oblivious kids, so now they realize that all that emotional tension was actually more than just friendship AND AND wanting to be together for the rest of their lives isn't just some childish wish anymore CAUSE NOW THEY'RE ADULTS AND ROMANCE IS VERY MUCH A THING NOW AND WHAT IF THEY START DATING WITH OTHERS AND GET JEALOUS AND OMG THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS-
So yeah, with this ending, the story quite literally turned into the perfect base for a "reconciliation after years" trope fanfic 🤣
Although I'm still mad that we didn't get to see more of them during the time skip and their dynamic as adults.
Also, the fact that Bakugo literally was the one who mainly funded Izuku's new hero costume is just wow.
My sweet dear Katsuki, you're like 25 now, ain't no one gonna believe you anymore when you tell them you're not in love with the green broccoli when you literally worked for 8 years just so you could have him by your side 😂
#feelings are gonna develop much faster now that they're adults#now we just need another Ground Beta moment but this time ADULT KATSUKI pinning down ADULT DEKU#fans are definitely gonna ship them#cause no way they'll ever be able to convince everyone else that obsessing over each other as adults is casual#bakudeku#bkdk#bnha#mha#bnha 430#mha 430#mha spoilers#bnha spoilers

Fourteen Days of MHA: Day 1
Home
WARNING: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood spoilers (seasons 1 and 2)
You: Huh!?!?!?!?
Oh yeah, it's time for a little mini-meta.
Okay, well, we're not going to get into the ENDING yet, but there's actually a lot going on in MHA that looks eerily familiar if you're an FMA fan. MHA itself is in many ways a referential work, and I don't think all of these parallels are coincidences (though surely some are).
Let's talk about the symbolism of the home.
My Hero Academia has three major examples of "home" that it highlights as symbols: those of the villains Tomura Shigaraki, Himiko Toga, and Touya Todoroki. The villains view their homes as symbols of oppression and pain. We know the home is seen as the image of all that oppression based on how various characters treat the houses themselves.
When Touya returned home after his miraculous survival, he found the home hadn't changed as a result of his death. The "scene" there always looks the same.
And when Endeavor tries to atone, Endeavor acknowledges that the "house" he raised his children in is full of bad memories to the extent that he decides to build his family a new home where they can live without him.
Touya's opportunity to demonstrate his feelings about his home arises with Himiko Toga. She returns to her abandoned childhood home out of curiosity and finds it full of hatred and derision, symbolizing her experiences there.
Touya does her a "kindness" by destroying the house.
Then he reveals that doing so, to him, is a way to get back at Endeavor--at the man who created Touya's own broken childhood home.
This scene in particular evokes the famous imagery of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood of the Elric Brothers burning down their own childhood home.
The act of destroying their own home is so important to them that Edward chooses to commemorate the date by engraving it inside his pocketwatch, "Don't Forget 3.Oct.11." To the brothers, this act is a symbol of their resolve--of their chosen path to atone for their sins and restore their bodies. There can be no going back home if there is no home to return to.
In other words, the purposeful destruction of one's home represents a threshold, a point of no return. By destroying their homes, the villains of MHA demonstrate their conviction for the paths they've chosen.
The problem is, there's another reason one might destroy their own home.
To run away. To hide. To forget.
Why does Himiko call Touya's act of destruction a kindness, even if Touya denies it? Because he has destroyed the largest reminder of the pain of her childhood.
The League of Villains seek to destroy the world because they were rejected by the world and wish to reject it back. Those homes were the world to them at one point, when they were children. To them, the world is just an extension of the suffering they experienced.
Tomura wants to destroy the world to justify his existence as a destroyer, but in reality he doesn't want to face the fact that he killed his family by accident.
The tragedy of his childhood was so traumatic he repressed the memory and only found his concrete motivation to destroy the world once he remembered his past in Deika City. As soon as he remembers that house, he wishes to destroy it again. It's already been destroyed, but the memory of it continues to hurt him long after. By destroying the world, maybe he can forget it again. Maybe the pain will make sense and he won't have to think about it anymore. Maybe he'll stop being a crying child deep down.
The villains seek to destroy their own origins, which is by nature a self-destructive cause. Paradoxically, they will end up destroyed in the end no matter if they succeed or fail in their goals. Either the world will be destroyed and they along with it, or they will die trying.
To save Tenko's heart, Izuku has to bring that memory of the house to the surface. He has to recontextualize it to validate Tenko as he is.
And the recontexualization is All For One.
By contextualizing Tenko's life as a product of All For One's machinations, it gives Tomura a new reason to destroy that memory and that house: to destroy All For One.
And with that comes a new justification for Tomura's existence.
The destruction of All For One.

I'm better in Japan then in Paris
Picapollo made this really good request over on ao3 and I can't wait for you guys to read this amazing story i have made for you guys.
Anyways! Please enjoy!
Marinette smiled as she floated on the floaty bed in her pool. She was relaxing in the sun as she faintly hears her husband cooking on the barbecue as they wait for there guests to arrive "Mari! You sure you don't want something to drink?" her husband asked making her turn to look at him "I'm sure Izu! Why don't you instead come join me? The others aren't going to be here for a while and it seems like a waste to cook right now" Mari said making her husband Izuku Midoriya also known as pro hero Deku to smile towards her and enter the pool after closing the barbecue.
"I was just working on a few things that need to cook for a while so were fine" he said as he swam to her side, Mari had met Izuku two years before graduation. Kagami had brought her to Japan, she was so happy and excited when a villain attacked but Deku came to save her... that was how there relationship began making them very happy together. Because of Mari's life in Paris, she decided to keep her relationship a secret which Kagami was alright in doing since she knew they were dating.
As a result... no one in her class knew she was dating Izuku at all... which was a good thing because had lied about getting cheated on by someone and within the hour of saying that the class attacked the guy online for cheating on Lila. As a result, it was for the best to not let them know and instead let them believe she was single and in love with Adrien... especially after they stopped being her friends after Lila lied about Mari sending her death threats... so it was better than Izuku getting contacted about the lies so they break-up.
Izuku did know about Lila and her lies of course but she just wanted him safe until she can live in Japan with him which her parents were alright with only after she graduates... and now here she was two years after graduating and she was married to her husband for a year now. Her parents were able to open a bakery in Japan that had become very popular and Mari opened three stores so far... and let's not forget there sweet two year old son Kazuki that they named after his godfather Katsuki Bakugo who is also Izuku's childhood best friend.
Currently... the BBQ was to have a little party to celebrate Kazuki's second birthday... and also for Mari to surprise everyone with the fact that she's pregnant again... not even Izuku knew as she wanted to surprise him. A while later little Kazuki began to wake up from his nap "Where's the little birthday boy!? I need to see him now!" shouted Katsuki making Kazuki squeal of joy as Katsuki came over with a gift bag and then picked him up to hug him "Hey Kacchan! glad you could make it" Izuku said while Mari giggled.
"How was that mission over in America?" she asked as Katsuki entered the pool with Kazuki in his arms "It was tough since two pro hero's bailed a day after we started" he explained making Mari huff in anger while Izuku sighed "My hero suit also got trashed so i'll need a new one from you Bug" he added making her smirk and nod as Tikki giggled. Before Mari left for Japan... she had located Hawkmoth and Mayura, she threatened Gabriel and Nathalie with going to the police if they didn't hand everything relating to the miraculous over... while promising to help bring back Gabriel's wife.
After getting everything, she went and took Adrien's ring and then left without leaving a trace of her. She did this so to keep the miraculous safe from Adrien... but Gabriel swore that he, Nathalie and Emily would keep Adrien under control and not try to find her to take back the ring from her. Now here she was, safe and happy with her life... and she didn't care about anything that was happening over in Paris at all "Did anyone message about being on there way here?" Mari then asked making Izuku smiled.
"They should be here soon. Ochako said she and Tenya were just buying some sweets and some wine to enjoy after Kazuki goes to bed later today but the others were on there way" Izuku said making her smile and nod to his words as sure enough there friends were slowly coming to join them by the pool... including Inko and Mari's parents making her smile and greet them with a bright smile. Kagami walked into the yard a little while later with her husband Felix... Adrien's cousin but Mari was very happy to see the two of them so they could celebrate Kazuki's birthday... and her little surprise.
Meanwhile... back in Paris...
Adrien has been upset for the last two years... as it had been two years ago when his miraculous was taken from him by Ladybug. He couldn't believe she would take the ring and still not reveal who she was behind the mask! He just didn't find it fair... not only that but after graduation... Mari had left Paris. Her parents refused to tell them where she went other then she left to be happy and wouldn't be coming back... after that her parents began to leave Paris from time to time leaving the bakery to a few employes they hired, he asked why and they simply said that they opened a new bakery somewhere and would go to check on it.
He tried contacting Mari like the others did... but she had them blocked so they couldn't call or text her for anything that they needed or wanted to know about her. Right now the class was meeting up at the park for old time sakes and to catch up, when he arrived at the park he discovered that everyone was already there but Lila, Chloe and Sabrina... and they looked upset for some reason. He went to join them and quickly found Nino to talk "Hey man. Why is everyone looking upset?" he asked making Nino sigh "Look around... who isn't here?" he asked making Adrien look confuse before looking around and then it clicked.
"Marinette... she isn't here" he whispered making Nino nod "I found out with Alya from Chloe that she was in Japan now... married and had a son... today is his second birthday" Nino explained making Adrien look down "So she... moved on from us? She really isn't coming back?" Adrien asked making Nino sigh "Seems like it... turns out Chloe got invited to the party so she, her sister Zoe and Sabrina aren't here because of it" he explained making him nod in understanding. He had tried asking Kagami to hang-out with him but she refused saying she with Felix were going to Japan for a while.
He was now certain she had also been invited to the party... finally Lila arrived with a big bright smile. At that moment Adrien got a notification from Chloe's social media accounts with a post she made... it was of Marinette with her husband hero Deku celebrating not only there son's birthday... but the fact they were going to have another baby. Everyone had checked but Lila as she was focused on talking about herself... and then it happened... something that Adrien was certain Mari had always wanted to see happen with her very own eyes.
Lila's downfall... has arrived... because of her latest lie...
"I just wish you guys could meet my husband! But being the pro hero Deku he's really busy saving lives right now!" she said making there eyes widen... and then Juleka slapped her "You bitch! Your really are a LIAR!" she screamed... at that moment... everyone else began to scream at Lila. Adrien kept quiet as Alya revealed Chloe's post about Marinette being married to hero Deku making Lila freak out and try to lie her way out of it... claiming that the guy she married didn't look like him and she must have been tricked... but it didn't work... and then... her eyes landed on Adrien... and she smirked.
He went pale at her expression... and he couldn't stop her in time...
"Fine then! But this time i'm telling you the truth when I say that Maribrat wasn't the only one who knew i'm a liar! That's right Adrien also knew from the very start and he didn't try to stop me from lying or stop you from hurting your 'Everyday Ladybug' at all!" she said before running away as they went silent... and then turned to him "You knew?" Nino asked in horror. Adrien tried to speak but nothing came out and this time Kim spoke "YOU FUCKING KNEW SHE WAS LYING TO US... AND DIDN'T TRY TO WARN US!?" he shouted making him flinch.
The group ganged up on him and pointed out how he could have told them at any point in time and they would have listened to him... but he didn't and now they lost Mari possibly for good and there was no way of them fixing anything with her now. He tried to claim it wasn't true, that they could ask his friend Kagami or Juleka's brother Luka to talk to her but they weren't listening to him at all and continued to scream at him at how he caused all of this to continue for years and hadn't tried to fix things even after they had all graduated.
And now... it was all far too late... Lila had left to go who knows where to lie to people once more... Mari was married and has a family and here they were in Paris... suffering because they lost an amazing friend forever...
And while they believed it was all Adrien's fault... they all knew that deep down... it was there own fault for not looking into Lila's lies from the start...

To be honest, I'm liking your version of Izuku more than the canon version of him. I love that he works out, to show that he's dedicated to his dream. Your version of Izuku is the inspiration for my version of Izuku, even though I want to keep the OFA for Izuku in my rewrite (I'm also building a reboot of the series). Thanks for your attention.
Hello!
-
Thank you! The idea that I'm inspiring others makes me feel very warm, and I'm glad you appreciate my version!
I found it odd in canon that Izuku never worked on his body pre-All Might meeting, as he is shown to analyse heroes often. Even heroes like Endeavour, who has a very strong quirk, are built to the brim, so for him to forgo any working out was strange, especially when his intellect is focused on early on in the series.
I still love Izuku, even if I have gripes about his writing and character, but you can love something while acknowledging its flaws.
(Much like most Miraculous fans beings the ones to criticise it. Or MHA fans making up the majority of MHA critical stuff.)
It's perfectly fine to keep One for All - there are many rewrites that keep it, and that's completely fine. I don't hate the Izuku was given One for All, I just have a different message in my rewrite.
Good luck with yours! :)
-
Thanks for the ask!

bakufam angst post epilogue?
It’s definitely bc of the epilogue but idk I’ve been developing this craving for Masaru-Katsuki bonding. Specifically Masaru comforting Kacchan about Zuku’s rejection to create/join an agency w him :’(
I just need Kacchan showing someone a genuine reaction to that literal bad ending — bc that’s what it was I swear. I need Kacchan finally breaking down and shedding those walls about it (even if he’s just more resigned or defeated than angry). That deadpan look on his face waving backwards at Izuku just feels so unfinished and indifferent to a lot of pivotal happenings before that point. like there was so soo much left unsaid.
There’s no way Kacchan didn’t beat himself up over that. There’s no way it didn’t alter his whole entire outlook on pro-heroism and being #1 and aspiring to fight alongside his childhood “nemesis” gone fair competition gone indisputable friend gone…… vague acquaintances WHO DIDNT EVEN LOOK BACK AT HIM ARE YOU KIDDING ME in the face of it all? The plummet was awful for how much better it could’ve ended.
……So I need Kacchan just ….flayed emotionally over this in ways literally every other cast member seems to have grossly overlooked. It’s like everybody’s personalities were adjusted around the concept of Dynamight and Deku being less significant to each other — in a story hinged so much on the contrary and for it’s better part on the protagonist miraculously overcoming countless limitations, establishing an identity as an aspiring hero in spite of it, and inspiring those around him who had no or only some sort of idea as to how OFA worked.
How was Kacchan not important to all that? Especially as someone Izuku admired so much even in the face of the bullying and adversity he endured growing up. How did they manage to completely nullify all of that, to smudge so much of it like it never mattered at all — and try to placate with poorly developed Izuchaco as a compromise? I keep saying take all the shipping discourse out of it, and the way the epilogue went still does not make sense whatsoever. Essentially I just need Masaru comforting his boy. With a “coming out” element to it on Katsuki’s part, perhaps? (👀Like Masaru wouldn’t already know lol).
“You know I NEVER fucking cry old man but I definitely can’t let the hag see me like this so FUCK! He turned me down. He rejected me. Like he actually turned me tf down in all seriousness and I can’t fucking breathe Dad it’s fucking me up so bad.”

Miraculous Heroes Academia
Ok, other thought. This takes place concurrently with BNHA, so while Izuku & co are dealing with the LoV and AfO in Japan, Paris is dealing with supervillain Hawk Moth. Who is Gabriel Agreste, who has been blackmailed by AfO/The Order/The Supreme, who are basically holding Emilie hostage. Gabe Gets “given” a Quirk that allows him to briefly “possess” people & boost them (Akuma Lite, basically), but it only lasts a limited time. He has to use this Quirk to find a specific person, or just cause chaos, who knows, but because it isn’t his OG Quirk, it’s kinda fucking him up as his body tries to adjust.
the Miracuclass get dragged in mostly by accident, because a bunch of their classmates keep getting possessed, then the person ordering Gabe around hyperfocuses on them for some reason, so now Gabe has to try and figure out how to do this without going after his own son.
-
You know I kinda debated on whether or not like
On one hand, I don’t want Gabe to have an ‘out’ of him being forced into it
On the other hand, if there aren’t the Miraculous in this au then there’s no motivation for Gabe to go villain.

Bkdk fic where Katsuki is a trans man with cramps and Izuku is just having a rough time, but they always end up helping each other.
Tribulations
Katsuki has been very irritable, as always, but today it's different. He's in pain. He knows he's been more agitated than usual, but what the hell can he do? He's in the middle of training and feels like his insides are being stabbed and punched. The more it hurts, the more he yells, and the more concerned All Might gets. All it took was one “Young Bakugo,” and he's blown up at the number one hero.
The rest of the day was the same. If someone muttered even a word to Katsuki, he'd threaten to blast them into the stratosphere. All he wanted was to rest, and for his damn cramps to go away. He'd tried everything that usually worked for him - taking painkillers, laying on his side, using his hand as a heating pad, but nothing was working. It was times like this where he wished he had Izuku with him because he always knew what to do. He could do the exact same things Katsuki did, but he'd miraculously feel better anyway.
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━
Izuku had locked himself in his room. He had an awful training day and the last thing he needed was for Katsuki to blow up at him and make him feel like shit by saying something he didn't mean. He sat at his desk reviewing notes, trying to figure out why his training went the way it did, and how he could improve next time. He was so confused because he'd done everything he was supposed to, but he just wasn't improving. He started getting frustrated with himself. His brain wouldn't shut up, his body was sore, and he was just upset. He pushed away from his desk and went to get in bed. When he laid down and closed his eyes, tears started rolling down his cheeks. Now he's even more frustrated because once the waterworks start, they don't stop. He decides to just lay there and let himself cry. He doesn't fight it because he knows these emotions will come back ten times stronger tomorrow if he doesn't let them out now, so he just allows himself to feel them.
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━
The next morning, Katsuki woke up unable to move. The training yesterday made his whole body feel limp and the cramps were still kicking his ass. He usually got up early to be the first one in the showers and make breakfast, but he just couldn't today. He laid in bed clutching his stomach with his knees to his chest. You'd think after all these years of having a menstrual cycle, he'd figure out ways to make the pain more bearable. He gets so frustrated while on his period, he's a hero in training for fucks sake. He should be able to withstand an insane amount of pain by now, but it wasn't his fault that his cramps were as painful as pregnancy contractions. He decided to just lay in bed until the cramps passed. It was the weekend and he didn't really have anything else to do, not that his body would've let him do much else anyway.
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━
Izuku woke up feeling drained, but better than yesterday. He got out of bed and went to the showers, not expecting to be the only one there. Katsuki was usually getting ready to walk out by the time he went in there, but he wasn't there. He came to the conclusion that Katsuki was just faster this morning, because it's not normal that he skips a shower. When Izuku got out of the shower, he realized he didn't smell any breakfast cooking. That was also abnormal, because Katsuki cooked breakfast every morning without fail. He starts to think maybe he didn't feel like it, but quickly disregards that thought and decides he's going to check on Katsuki after he gets dressed.
Izuku gets dressed in sweats before going to check on Katsuki because his room is always cold. He walks to his room and stands in front of the door for a few seconds before lightly knocking.
“Kacchan?”
“‘Zuku?”
Katsuki’s voice was soft and weak, and it just made Izuku worry even more. Izuku took his response as permission to walk in. His eyes widened when he saw Katsuki’s state. He shook his head to snap himself out of his own state of shock, then walked over to him and kneeled by his bed.
“Kacchan, you don't look too good.”
“I could say the same about you. Your eyes are all red and swollen.”
“Yeah, I guess we're both having tough times… Cramps getting you again?”
“Yeah.”
“Relax your body, I'll try and help.”
Katsuki uncurled his body and did his best to relax. Izuku stood up and grabbed painkillers and a pop tart for Katsuki. “Eat the pop tart, then take the painkillers.” After Katsuki took the painkillers, Izuku put a heating pad in his stomach and started softly massaging that same place.
With Izuku there, Katsuki finally felt like he could breathe. His cramps were far less severe and he didn't feel like shit anymore.
“While we're here, nerd, tell me why you were crying.”
“Crying?”
Izuku gave him a puzzled look, maybe the cutest one he's ever seen. Katsuki chuckled before speaking again.
“Yes, crying. I see your eyes, they're all puffy… So, what happened?”
Izuku sighed and shook his head.
“Nothing, really. I was in my head after a tough training day.”
Katsuki placed one of his hands on Izuku’s, which was still kneading his stomach.
“Everyone else thought you did amazing, nerd. What, still think you're not improving or something?”
Izuku nodded his head and opened his mouth to speak, but closed it again after not being able to find any words. Katsuki squeezes his hand and gives him a teasing smile.
“How ‘bout we go spar and I'll tell you if you've improved or not.”
Izuku laughs and shakes his head.
“Don't be crazy, Kacchan! You're obviously feeling better.”
Katsuki replaces his teasing smile with a warm, genuine one.
“Thank you, Izuku.”
“Thank you too, Kacchan.”
After a while of the two holding hands, Katsuki’s stomach growls and Izuku laughs.
“Should I order some food?”
“Sounds good. Thanks, nerd.”
“Of course, Kacchan.”

warning!!! long rant incoming
weeks later and i am still not over how much reading chapter 426 traumatized me. seeing touya reduced to a what??? burnt-up corpse strapped to a wall and on life support, barely breathing and with no hope of recovery, with only a bleak "slow march toward death" ahead of him was only the first blow.
then we see the todofam marching into the hospital determined to "talk with him" while he can barely string together a few sentences and is strapped to a heart monitor in a way that invasively reveals his true feelings of upset/excitement/anixety at whatever they feel like talking to him about, which was personally mortifying to witness.
one of the FIRST things he says is how he isn't "some damn tourist attraction" for them to come gawk at and talk at to make themselves feel better. and yes even though most of my ire is directed at enji i still dislike how the rest of the family acted in this chapter. all determined to say their piece now that he's forced to stay there and listen to them, and even shouto's part in all of it being framed as him "saving" touya and making time for them all to have together while he is DYING an AGONIZING and SLOW death. also natsuo not even saying anything to touya even though he was the only one to ever advocate for him and constantly remind everyone in the family of what happened to his brother and demanding justice from enji. although if i interpret this as him recognizing that talking with touya now would only violate his privacy since he can't hide his feelings because of the heart monitor his behaviour is the only one that makes sense.
enji once again taking the opportunity to talk about what HE is doing to atone for "his sins", in a way that fills me with such indescribable rage and fury at this man's audacity to even show his face to any member of his family and makes me once again want to kill him with my bare hands because i am SICK and TIRED of hearing about his "atonement" and "rejection". and even though natsuo renounces him definitively once and for all once they exit the hospital, he also says he thinks enji is a "badass" now???? EXCUSE. ME. also shouto calling him "father" still makes me want to puke i'm sorry.
to rub salt into the wound the chapter then switches to hawks talking with nagant who is now fully recovered?? from literally exploding??? in a parody of what i hoped a final dabihawks interaction was going to be. but i guess only heroes and "good" victims get to live and have miraculous recoveries in this story.
another thing that makes me livid is this trend horikoshi has set of showcasing touya in pivotal panels as not-being-burnt-to-a-crisp so he can?? what??? show us his imagined facial expressions better??? idk it just feels so disingenuous to him being crippled, burnt to death, stripped of all bodily autonomy, irreversibly and gruesomly injured only for horikoshi to take the easy way out when he wants to show emotions on his face so we can what?? see him as a person still and not a disfigured corpse???? i don't get it.
as someone who up until those chapters at the end where horikoshi decided that yes izuku should absolutely vanquish tomura was very hopeful about bnha's ending and where it was headed and what kind of story it wanted to tell i feel immeasurably and utterly betrayed and furious at what happened to the remaining lov characters. touya's end is a nightmare scenario on a personal level but what tomura's character went through at the end felt like a complete butchering of everything he as a character stood for. and don't get me started on himiko, a fucking TEENAGE GIRL who i was SURE would get to live if nobody else from the league did. but those are rants for another post.
my final thoughts for this rant are musings on whether horikoshi is aware how hurtful and trauma-inducing chapter 426 is. i struggle to grasp how he could write such a nuanced character without apparently knowing the first thing about how to resolve their story in a satisfying way. whether or not he waffled on how he should end bnha and then chickened out on its "true/controversial/revolutionary" ending i can only speculate but at this point i don't even care because the fact is he CHOSE to end the story this way and i have no idea what the point of it all even was anymore and i am tired and rant over because i've been rambling like a lunatic for way too long now
anyway sorry if this doesn't make a lick of sense idk what i'm saying or trying to articulate here, this is my first post of this length and i was gonna keep it all inside but i felt i had to let it out somehow. if u got this far thank you for reading this and have a good day <33
