and as promised here is also progress pics, harvested from when i sent screenshots to friends as i worked. as a bonus ive also included various layer names and the 5 different names the file went thru. the parts i [very lazily] painted over with dark blue had not been done yet, ergo anything with dark blue over it is just the picture itself so do not regard it

i will now be nice to myself and work on my fanfic and smaller drawings for a while. i will do eye posts sometimes still when i get a slow day and wanna do some peepers for 3 hours, i have collected many eyes [klinger, fr mulcahy, trapper, margaret, charles, hawkeye, bj. ive been busy stealing eyeballs to paint on. theyre all on one document its pretty funny]. i will be doing my best to force the cast into my style so i can do quick stuff.

i also WILL do more paintings of full shots again, but. fellas. ive done 3 back to back full paintings with no other digital art projects in between.

everyone on earth probably has a hypothetical farming sim in their mind's eye that they daydream about on occasion because of the unfortunate situation that despite there being like a thousand farming games released every minute only like 4 of them are any good. and i think this is fun, i think its good to keep the imagination alive. if i made a farming sim i would bring back rival marriages from the old friends of mineral town. i want to steal someones wife.

For anyone annoyed by the Tumblr changes, if you're on desktop I would recommend using XKit Rewritten (and New XKit for any other odd changes you'd like to try out, including even older aspects of Tumblr). It's the older version of Rewritten but most of the extensions on it are still supported/do work). I can't guarantee they'll definitely make a fix for it/a direct fix for this particular UI change, but it's possible that they might since they usually make extensions that allow you to essentially revert changes made to the UI. Other various UI extensions (such as old ones from Tumblr's past UIs that the extensions basically just revert you to) may also help fix up your UI.

As you might expect these extensions need to be on to work/revert the appearance of the UI (so if you turn them off you'll revert to the current state of Tumblr), but while they are on you can curate your UI to look how you want it. This goes for both New XKit and XKit Rewritten. I use both and I couldn't live without them lol. You can get some big oldies of Tumblr's, like classic search on Rewritten or the Tweaks extension (full of various UI tweaks) on New XKit (including the old shade of blue Tumblr used a long time ago that I never stopped using!).

Unfortunately I don't know of any solution for mobile if it affects mobile at any point (or if it already has), but whenever you're on desktop, I would definitely recommend both these versions of XKit. I have so many extensions from them that I often don't even realize when there are UI changes (remember how Tumblr added themes for your dashboard? I didn't even notice for the longest time because I've had New XKit on the whole time) because Tumblr's default coding is overwritten by the extensions I have on.

it kinda sucks that even in like. Mental Health Positive spaces you cannot really talk or show or depict or discuss self harm scars or talk about it in a past sense like. there is always an assumption you are Edgy or romanticizing it or endorsing it or something else when it's like. man. its just a fact of life for some people. that is just how some people's bodies look.

like ive seen people roll their eyes at and talk rudely about others drawing characters with self harm scars or writing about it and its like man. real people have bodies with scars from self harm sometimes. im sorry it offends you but Some People Look Like That And They Cannot Change It. my body looks like that and its clear after over a decade that its never going away and im not really ashamed of it its just a neutral thing to me. its a part of my body its how i look and its me. but depicting that is somehow Wrong and people will make all sorts of honestly very rude assumptions about you!

nd god forbid you post a picture of yourself like a completely normal photo where your arms with old scars are visible because that is how your body looks. its insane how even in spaces where its widely accepted that you shouldn't police people's bodies and its insane to ask people to Trigger Warning their bodies otherwise, its still somehow reasonable to do that to people with self harm scars. girl that is peoples bodies! im sorry it makes you uncomfortable but that has to be a You Problem. all of this is just like. another form of judging people's mental health and bodies audibly but because its under the guise of Well This Is Uncomfortable >_< its okay i guess. man.

First week of actually tracking again (I tried again last year-ish and tracked a few weeks, but I ended up just deleting that data). I wrote over 6,600 words this week, all on my current sm/tiv project. That's almost twice the weekly goal I set, so definitely a good start.

I'm hoping to continue this strength and focus, at least until I get through the SM/TIV ideas I have. I have five current premises, and I want to get four of them completed. The fifth one would be a bit too long, so I just want to get it rolling.

woooo my niece took 5 of my 13 lego sets, one of which was one of the three larger ones, so that's one huge box out of the way and i'm just glad she wanted them because like they ARE twenty years old and they look fine ofc but sometimes kids aren't gonna want stuff that isn't new and shiny ya know, but she did seem to want everything which would've been fine with me but i knew there was no way they would take all that with them, and at least i still have stuff of my own to sell, plus should get at least a cut of my brother's stuff for doing the inventory and putting together that stuff that wasn't already done
