The reason Epic: The Musical is such a good adaptation in my eyes is because it’s ORAL it’s SONG AND VERSE and the Iliad and the Odyssey were RHAPSODE !!!! THEY WERE ORAL TRADITION!!!!

IT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE WRITTEN VERSE BECAUSE ITS OUR BARD JORGE’S INTERPRETATION AND HE IS OUR RHAPSODIST!!!!

WE ARE SINGING THESE CHARACTERS AND STORIES TO LIFE WE ARE HAVING THEM SPOKEN TO US BY BARDS AND A STORYTELLER AND WHILE ITS A MODERN TAKE ON AN ORAL RETELLING TURNED LITERATURE WE ARE STILL SPEAKING IT INTO EXISTENCE TO EACH OTHER!!!!!

Ever since they were young, Pran and Pat's families had a deep and raging rivalry — trying to one-up each other on everything. This also extended towards their sons. It was almost like rivalry was passed down as a family heirloom and the two boys became rivals as well. Until... they grew tired and became friends. Really good friends. However, because of their families' rivalry, their friendship had to be kept under wraps. And so began a journey of secret friendship... and then perhaps a sweet secret romance?

Bad Buddy is currently my ultimate fave, the brainrot has not left even after a year. This series has everything for me. Humour, angst, romance! I have never related to a character as much as I have with Pran. And Pat is the sweetest guy, who never takes no for an answer, but in a good way. Please watch this if you some time in your hands. You will not regret it!

absolutely despise how every single social media platform has intrusive annoying “performance” shit baked into it now. You can’t just be online to post for fun, talk to friends, share stuff to whoever happens upon it.

Everything has a score now. Notifications that say “your post reached 1000 accounts” on insta. View counts on every tweet, so you know exactly how relevant or irrelevant your every thought or drawing is. Every app asking you over and over to turn push notifications on. 1 to 10 self-ratings on YouTube. Get twitter blue for a performance boost. give tumblr your money for a Blaze. Get an Instagram business account. Buy views. Constant scoring. Constant reminders to monetize your every waking moment.

^ this one makes me think about that post on here abt how orpheus always has eurydice in front of him. BECAUSE… that’s also true for the journey into hadestown!!! eurydice goes first and orpheus follows her. eurydice is in front, orpheus is behind her. and when the roles get reversed in doubt comes in he crumbles. 🤯

^ i didn’t screenshot this very well lol the comment i wanted to focus on (which is also what’s pictured in the video itself) is the one at the bottom abt eurydice leaning on the workers like the table (though the top one is good / funny / accurate too). i noticed the table but not the worker lean and it’s making me 🤯

I know this sounds fake but a few months ago I was literally talking to my friend and commiserating about medical bills in regard to our chronic illness issues and I was talking about how like back in the thirties bank robbers became folk heroes because people hated the banks for causing the depression more than they valued a sense of law and order and how I felt like with the current climate towards violence in this country, it was only a matter of time before someone started going after the health insurance companies and that because everyone regardless of political alignment knows there's something fucked about getting charged thousands of dollars in medical bills even with insurance (and that's assuming you don't get randomly denied coverage.) like how will the public react to that? are we at that point where a shooter or bomber that targets health insurance companies would be elevated to folk hero status in the same way Bonnie and Clyde were in their day?

anyway I considered posting about it but decided against it because I think I had been anarcho-posting enough that week re: the election and didn't want someone to accuse me of inciting violence or something and now I regret it because i truly am Cassandra with fat tits.
