You know a head canon doesnt necessarily need to be based off canon? Its just something someone believes in Their Head. canon can either confirm or contradict it but the two are unconnected.

Also ur argument about trans Danny seems to be missing the point a bit. People dont think danny is trans cuz being halfghost is a perfect parrallel to being trans. Its because of the narrative of hiding ur identity and fearing being outed to your loved ones more than to your enemies. THATS what trans people relate to and identify as a queer narrative in Danny Phantom. Its not "being a halfa=trans" its "i see a connection in these ideas and like the parrallel" Also Id be a bit more careful with my wording if I were you "trans people choose to transition" sounds a lot like "you choose to be trans" which isnt true. And even if it was... Danny chose to go into that machine. Even using ur canon only logic he Chose to get his powers both after Desiree erased them and during Phantom Planet.

I'll give you the thing about headcanons being in your head & unrelated to canon. That's really just how I go about my personal hcs. I try to have evidence that backs them up. I've always been big about filling in plotholes & whatnot & this is part of how I do it. I tend to take canon & see how I can work it into my narrative cohesively. I think that's just how I work best as a content creator. As such, I might have a bit of a bias. I may also sometimes forget that not everyone works that way.

While I understand that people don't choose to be trans, they do choose to go through with the actual transition itself. That is a choice. It doesn't just happen. Your hormone levels don't just change unless you actively choose to change them yourself.

And to be fair, if you wanna be accurate, Sam coerced him into it every time. The last time, she was actually being a super bad friend about it. It'll admit that he chose to help people in the end & the best way to do so was by being a Halfa again, but he was still lead there.

And, you know, you may be right about most people identifying with the hiding a huge part of yourself thing, but that isn't just limited to being queer. There are plenty of reasons to hide something from your parents. Teens make a business out of it. Hell, there's doing drugs, being in a gang, going to church when you have atheistic parents or being atheistic in a church-going family, or being republican in a democratic family & vice versa.

That isn’t to say that I’d prefer it if he were doing drugs or in a gang, just that there are other things you can parallel it with.

It doesn't just have to be a queer thing. Like, sure! Headcanon what you want, but I also have a right to complain about it.
