YOUR daily reminder that Hamas has been holding these girls hostage for over 382 days. 101 total hostages remain in Gaza.
The United States government has revealed that Hamas is refusing to participate in hostage negotiations. They say no Red Cross visits or signs of life.
Joe Biden & Kamala Harris said ok——Israel give the Palestinians more food and medicine and relax their controls over Hamas. This is the pathetic leadership in the White House today 😡

The metoo movement completely failed the Israeli women who we're raped and murdered and those who are still being held hostage .
The movement means nothing unless you protect all women .
No matter their race or religion .

A lot of middle-aged liberals online have this pathological need to be liked by young leftists and attempt to pander to them in a deeply humiliating way.
Someone should tell the Pod Save America generational cohort they aren't ever going to compete in cool with the 20-somethings who live in Bushwick and pop 6mg pouches of Zyn like they're Skittles so they stop embarrassing themselves cosplaying faux radicalism online.

If you think women and girls being bombed is compatible with your feminist beliefs, you are wrong.
If you think women and girls being acceptable collateral damage to the things men have done is compatible with your feminist beliefs, you are wrong.
If you think retaliating by harming women and girls of one group for the harm done to women and girls of another group is compatible with your feminist beliefs, you are wrong.
If you think women and girls dying may be necessary to "liberate" the people, you are wrong.
#no this isn't solely about the Israeli attack on Gaza or the hostages Hamas took#but rather an attitude I've seen by so-called feminists regarding this and other conflicts and wars and massacres etc.#over the years#well decades now I guess I'm 36 lol#but anyway#I keep being reminded of the Iraqi women saying western feminists don't care if middle-eastern women are bombed#as long as they die with their genitals intact#your concern for non-western women cannot stop at the actions of non-western men#imperialism#it always weirded me out#how people would point to this or that atrocity committed by x group of people#to justify thinking of them as non-human#but their victims were...women and children of their own group#and it was like...but if they're monsters and it's down to something inherent aren't their victims also monsters?#and if they aren't then it can't be inherent to that group#so why would we support something that would further victimize those women and children?#as if western peoples don't have their own sordid histories#and not even all that long ago#both against other peoples#and against women and children of their own#not to mention the things they still do#and a lot of those things are done by men who are the loudest in saying x group of people are basically animals and should be put down#put yourself down first#but anyway if you're a woman and consider yourself a feminist#you can't be of the position that it's acceptable for some women to die in war or massacre or retaliation or whatever#no matter what justifications you have in your head for it

If you do not know history -- you are doomed to be gullible about it. Jews. From the word "Judaea". Jews have called Israel home for thousands of years. It's on Roman documents, carved in stone, written in the Bible. It's literally emblazoned in their DNA. That Jews were native to this area was never questioned until Hamas needed a sympathetic narrative for young, foolish, wholly unschooled Americans to swallow hook, line, and sinker. Not that this should matter in the slightest in the face of the utter atrocities of October 7th and the avowed genocidal intent of Hamas -- there is no justifying that by any narrative! -- but the Jews ARE native to Israel. This is their land -- they came back to it in 1948, after being dispersed and hunted and driven out of it by the actual "colonizers" for centuries, with their own culture and language and name, as a unique people group. Something unprecedented and precious in the history of the world that no other people group has managed. They even bought their own land back -- swampy and supposedly "worthless" as it was then -- legitimately from the people who were camping out in it at the time.
The Jews are not the "colonizers" here.
a reminder that your advocacy for ending the occupation of Palestine should also extend to advocating for Indigenous and First Nations peoples' liberation in your own country. The anti-colonial struggle is a global one. Show up for Indigenous people everywhere you can because we are under occupation almost everywhere. Not to mention the Zionist occupation is supported almost exclusively by the colonial world powers. Your advocacy for the liberation for Palestine must go hand in hand with advocacy for First Nations liberation and Land Back.

Hostages tortured to death. Parents executed in front of their children. Doctors beaten. Babies murdered. Sexual assault weaponised. No, not Hamas crimes. This is part of an ever-growing list of documented atrocities committed by Israel in the five months since 7 October – quite separate from the carpet bombing of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza and a famine induced by Israel’s obstruction of aid. And yet while the western establishment media has been chock full of the most lurid allegations of savagery directed against Hamas, sometimes with little or no supporting evidence, Israeli atrocities are excused or quickly forgotten. Accusations against Hamas are endlessly reheated to paint a picture of a supremely dangerous and bestial militant group, in turn rationalising the slaughter and starvation of Gaza’s population to “eradicate” it as a terrorist organisation. But equally barbarous atrocities committed by Israel – not in the heat of battle, but in cold blood – are treated as unfortunate, isolated incidents that cannot be connected, that paint no picture, that reveal nothing of import about the military that carried them out. If Hamas’ crimes were so savage and sadistic they still need to be reported months after they took place, why does the establishment media never feel the need to express equal horror and indignation at equivalent or worse acts of cruelty and sadism being inflicted by Israel on Gaza – not five months ago, but right now? Israel's torture of doctors, its sexual assaults of Palestinian women, it's leaving premature babies to die after its forces stormed a hospital. Where is the outrage? This is part of a pattern of behaviour by the western media that leads to only one possible deduction: Israel’s five-month-long attack on Gaza is not being reported. Rather, it is being selectively narrated – and for the most obscene of purposes. Through consistent and glaring failures in their coverage, establishment media – including supposedly liberal outlets, from the BBC and CNN to the Guardian and New York Times – have smoothed the way for Israel to carry out mass slaughter in Gaza, what the World Court has assessed as plausibly a genocide. The role of the media has not been to keep us, their audiences, informed about one of the greatest crimes in living memory. It has been to buy time for US President Joe Biden to keep arming his most useful of client states in the oil-rich Middle East, and to do so without damaging his prospects for re-election in November’s US presidential vote. If Russian President Vladimir Putin was a madman and a barbarous war criminal for invading Ukraine, as every western media outlet agrees, what does that make Israeli officials, when every one of them supports far worse atrocities in Gaza, directed overwhelmingly at civilians? And more to the point, what does that make Biden and the US political class for materially backing Israel to the hilt: sending bombs, vetoing demands for a ceasefire at the United Nations, and freezing desperately needed aid? Worrying about the optics, the president expresses his discomfort, but he carries on helping Israel regardless. While western politicians and commentators worry about some imaginary existential threat those brief events of five months ago pose to the nuclear-armed state of Israel, Israel is quite literally wiping Gaza off the map day by day, quite undisturbed.

68 percent of Israelis say they do not believe Netanyahu’s statement that Israel is “one step away from victory” in Gaza.
Only 16 percent believe Netanyahu.
When you're a proven liar, that's bound to happen.

700 Palestinians were killed in the last 24 hours and the airstrikes are more violent each night. Gaza's hospitals have fuel left for two more days. Israel only allowed aid into Gaza on the condition they didn't carry fuel. The Indonesian hospital has shut down already, because doctors have no supplies and no choice but to let the wounded die. They're calling it a collapse but the term doesn't do it justice.
Over a 100 incubator babies are at risk. There are 50.000 pregnant women in Gaza right now, and 5.500 due to give birth this month. Menstruating people are taking pills in order to stop their periods, because they do not have pads or water to maintain hygiene. Surgeons are operating without anesthesia. Water is not reaching Gazans because there's no electricity or fuel for water pumps.
There's no excuse for this. Israel justifies the airstrikes by saying they want to destroy Hamas infrastructure and release the hostages, but they have refused to negotiate for their release. Hamas informed Israel they wanted to release two elderly women without anything in return, and Israel refused. Netanyahu said they wouldn't take their own civilians back because it was "mendacious propaganda." When the hostages were finally released, Netanyahu prohibited the hospital from giving press releases. Yocheved Lifshitz went behind their backs and talked to the press anyway, saying she was treated very well by Hamas, but the government abandoned them. They're being used as straw men. Israel is conditioning the entry of fuel to the release of hostages and yet, according to The Wall Street Journal, when Hamas proposed to exchange 50 hostages for fuel they denied. IDF officials have said they fear the release of more hostages because that might withhold the order to their ground invasion. They do not care as long as they can use the hostages as a pretext for their slaughtering.
There's a turning tide for Palestine in public support. Support for Israel was built through decades of propaganda and we are making a dent into it. Zionists are desperate, holding zoom meetings to promote zionism, but we have to do so much more. We have to shame people in power into supporting the Palestinian cause.
Keep yourself updated and share Palestinian voices, looking to inform yourself from the sources. Palestinians have asked of us only that we share, tweet and post, over and over. Muna El-Kurd said every tweet is like a treasure to them, because their voices are repressed on social media and even on this very app. Make it your action item to share something about the Palestinian plight everyday. Here are some resources:
Al Jazeera
Anadolu Agency
Mondoweiss
Boycott Divest Sanction Movement
Palestinian Youth Movement
Mohammed El-Kurd (twitter / instagram)
Al-Shabaka (twitter / instagram)
Mariam Barghouti (twitter / instagram)
Muhammad Shehada (twitter)
Motaz Azaiza (instagram) - reporting directly from Gaza
Take action. You can participate in boycotts wherever you are in the world, through BDS guidelines. Right now, they are focusing on boycotting (don't be overwhelmed by gigantic boycott lists. Only boycott additional brands if you can):
Carrefour
HP
Puma
Sabra
Sodastream
Ahava cosmetics
Israeli fruits and vegetables
Push for a cultural boycott - pressure your favorite artist to speak out on Palestine and cancel any upcoming performances on occupied territory (Lorde cancelled her gig in Israel because of this. It works.)
If you can, participate in direct action or donate. Palestine Action works to shut down Israeli weapons factories in the UK and USA, and have successfully shut down one of their firms in London. Some of the activists are going on trial and are calling for mobilizing on court.
Call your representatives. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works, even more if you live in a country that funds genocide.
