Inktober 14. Castle

Day 14 of inktober. The perspective is shit in this one. Idk how to do buildings. Maybe on paper with a ruler for the lines. I can't do a straight line if my life depended on it. Just don't like this one. The knight looks weird. Just made this after feeling better from getting some shots. I barfed into a trash bag, and it was just water. Felt better after oddly. Just wanting to add weird stuff here.

Bastion’s Banner - Wondrous Item, Very Rare. A red and gold banner that is slightly tattered at its edges. When placed at the highest point on a structure (such as a house, a tower, or a castle), all the defenses and entrances within become magically reinforced. These additional protections are lost if the banner is ever removed or destroyed. Reinforced Locks. Whenever a door, window, gate, or similar entryway within the structure is locked, the DC to break it or pick the locks on increases by 10, as per the Arcane Lock spell. Defender’s Honor. Anyone who has slept within the structure that has the Bastion’s Banner gain advantage on their initiative rolls for the next 24 hours, so long as they remain within the structure.

Inktober 2023 — Day 14 — Castle

The return of Princess Anya! Spy x Family is such a cute show! I even have some of the manga, and I love this family so much I will protect it with everything I have! The picture might not include a lot of connections to “castle” but I don’t regret it. What I do regret is not adding more detail to the castle walls themselves or adding more details in general. But since yesterday was so busy, I think I wanted to do something more simple today and I admittedly got a bit lazy. Maybe I’ll update it later to add brick textures along the walls or something similar. For now, I’m happy with bringing the Forger family on a little castle tour.

So originally this was only going to be Anya on a castle balcony, but that left a lot of empty space. The doorway and space beneath the balcony (which you can’t see from the pic) we’re basically blank, and it looked strange for Anya to be alone. So I decided to add Bond which helped but still a lot of empty space. So then I added Yor and Loid which helped fill the space, but because of how I drew the scene, I needed to draw all the characters relatively small within the page, and that led to some issues (ie Anya’s eyes looked off so I needed to fix those and I couldn’t add so much detail to Yor and Loid). I think it came out alright and I’m glad to be back on track, but something tells me I’m gonna be stuck doing more complicated scenes/drawings until the prompts give me a break. XD
