Mariya, one of our regulars, mentioned that whenever possible (most of the time) she likes to flip the tables on her Warlock Patrons. Not a single one has escaped her thirsty grasp.

So, we created Mariya's Patron Leash! Use with consent.

Mariya’s Patron Leash

Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a Warlock)

“A short,  black, leather leash emblazoned with enchantment runes and sigils. The leash has a spot near the loop of leather that one would hold when walking a pet on it, that has a blank space for a name. When the magic of this leash is used, the name of the familiar appears on it.”

While attuned to this magic item you can cast the Find Familiar spell as a ritual at-will without requiring any material components.

When you summon your familiar you can choose to have it bestow a spell casting bonus on your spell attack rolls or spell save DC. The bonus is equal to half your Proficiency Bonus rounded down. This benefit only applies while your familiar is active.

Sacrificial Pact. If a spell or effect would reduce a creature you can see within 30 feet of your familiar to 0 Hit Points, you can use your Reaction to teleport your familiar to become the target instead. Once you use this property, it cannot be used again until you finish a Long Rest.

⭐ New Item! Hood of the Jackalope - Wondrous Item, Uncommon. Requires Attunement. A hood made from the furs and antlers of jackalopes. While wearing this hood, you gain a +10 to your movement speed and your speed isn’t reduced if you’re encumbered or wearing heavy armor. In addition, you can jump three times the normal distance, though you can’t jump farther than your remaining movement will allow. Charge. If you move at least 30 ft. towards a target and hit it with a melee weapon attack, the target takes an extra 2d4 bludgeoning damage.

Common Kits – Izzet League

This week’s release takes us back to Ravnica again, with another visit to our good friends (and my favorite Ravnican guild!) the Izzet League. This release is part of a new series I’ll be slowly working on called Common Kits. The idea is to design common & uncommon magic items that can be given to NPCs of a specific faction, offering encounters with them better flavor and more strategic depth. It also lets DMs put magic items into their player’s hands earlier on, without unbalancing later encounters or levels.

Cord of Grasping Flesh - Wondrous Item (belt)

Dry aged to perfection.

This is a belt of severed arms, but you still have to touch the enemy with your regular arms to cast the spells stored in the belt. My personal FBI agent can now add a google search for "how much does a dry aged human arm weigh" to the list of evidence against me. I don't even know why I bothered since there's an unspecified number of arms on the back side of the belt.

This magic item was created for the Urobutcher.

Cord of Grasping Flesh - Wondrous Item

Aura moderate necromancy and tranmutation; CL 8th; Slot belt; Price 108,640 gp; Weight 30 lbs.

DESCRIPTION

Five times per day, as a standard action, if the wearer of this rope belt with severed arms dangling from it is of evil alignment, he can chose one of the following spells to cast: catatonia, curse of befowled fortune, inflict serious wounds, monstrous extremities, or touch of bloodletting. The DC of any spell cast from the belt is 16 plus the spell level.

If the wearer fails the attack roll or concentration check when casting one of these spells, or the target succeeds on its saving throw, the wearer can spend another daily use of these spells as an immediate action to force a reroll, taking the new result of the die in place of the old one.

If a cord of grasping flesh is donned by a good character, he immediately gains three permanent negative levels. These negative levels remain as long as the belt is worn and cannot be overcome in any way (including through restoration spells). The negative levels are immediately removed if the belt is removed from the wearer.

Additionally, the belt grants the wearer a +4 enhancement bonus to Constitution. Treat this as a temporary ability bonus for the first 24 hours the belt is worn.

Time Hopper

Wondrous item, very rare, galactic

This fob watch is infused with powerful temporal magic. You can use an action to set the time on the watch face to between 1 and 60 seconds. The time remains set until you use a bonus action to press the button at the top of the watch, sending you forward in time the number of seconds set on the watch face. At the end of that time, you reappear in the same space. No time passes for you, and to others you appear to vanish and then reappear. The time hopper can be used once per day.

Requires attunement by a druid. While wearing this garment, you gain the following effects:

Flora—typically flowers—native to your current location spontaneously bloom on this garment. These flowers remain visible on your body while using wild shape.

Your armour class increases by 1.

You have advantage on all Charisma checks made while interacting with plants.

Up to once per day, when you step into a body of running water with a depth of at least ten centimetres, you can harness the energy of life flowing within the water to restore up to 20 hit points for every Druid level you have, divided as you choose among creatures within 30 feet.

Grimoire of Daemonic Studies Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement by a Warlock or Wizard)

In all my time making homebrew stuff, maybe because of my indifference for wizards, I hadn’t done any spellbook, so with this one, I tried to make it extra flavorful. This dark leather-bound notebook exudes an aura of otherworldly power and a faint smell of blood and smoke. Its pages are filled with cryptic symbols and unsettling sketches of abyssal and demonic beings.

Monstrous Collar

Wondrous Item (armor for familiars), Very Rare

The Monstrous Collar is a beautifully crafted band of dark leather, intricately embossed with runes that shimmer faintly, representing various monstrous forms. Embedded within are small, multi-colored gemstones that seem to pulse gently when the collar is activated. The overall aesthetic is refined yet sturdy, designed to withstand the rigors of adventuring while providing an aura of power and mystery.

CD 20: Lore: The Monstrous Collar was commissioned by the enigmatic mage Seltharion, the Monstrous Collar was designed after witnessing the potential of familiars in battle. Seltharion sought to empower these loyal entities, enhancing their abilities to face more formidable foes. Tales tell of a heroic companion, a once ordinary owl transformed into a fearsome griffon, which turned the tide in a battle against a tyrannical dragon cult.

CD 25: Transformative Summoning: Once per day, as an action, the wielder can choose to transform their familiar into a creature of the same challenge rating, retaining its intelligence and personality while gaining the natural abilities (not magical or supernatural) of the new form. The transformation lasts for 1 hour and allows the familiar to use its original class features in conjunction with the new form's abilities. The caster can deactivate the transformation as a bonus action, returning the familiar to its original form.

While wearing these boots, your AC is increased by 1.

In addition, you can use your Bonus Action, to reduce your speed to 0 and increase your AC further, by an amount equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

⭐ New Item!

Phantom Saddle - Rare, Wondrous Item. Requires Attunement. A saddle made of leather infused with the wispy remains of undead Shadows. When placed on a mount, the saddle provides an increase in its stealth capabilities. When in dim light or darkness, the mount and its rider gains advantage on all stealth rolls. Ride like the Wind. Once per day, the saddle allows you to cast the spell Gaseous Form, turning yourself and your mount into a single cloud of mist. This cloud moves at half the speed of your mount, but otherwise follows the normal limitations of the spell. When the spell wears off, both creatures return to their original forms.
