Advanced Hacks to Boost Your CTR in 2024: Data-Driven Strategies for Higher Engagement
As digital marketing continues to evolve, the Click-Through Rate (CTR) remains one of the most important metrics for understanding how well your ads, social media posts, email campaigns, or organic content engage users. Higher CTR means more traffic, better engagement, and, ultimately, more conversions.
In 2024, with increased competition and rapidly changing user behavior, you’ll need more than just basic tactics to improve CTR. Advanced strategies backed by data, behavioral insights, and psychological principles can take your CTR to the next level. This blog delves into 10 advanced hacks that will help you boost CTR and outperform the competition.
1. Emotional Triggers in Headlines: Use Psychological Persuasion
To boost CTR, you must master the art of emotional storytelling and psychological persuasion. Humans are emotional beings, and we make decisions based on emotions more than logic. This is why headlines or ad copy that trigger emotional responses such as fear, curiosity, excitement, or urgency tend to perform significantly better.
Strategies:
Fear of Missing Out (FOMO): Use phrases like “Don’t Miss Out” or “Limited-Time Offer.”
Curiosity Gap: Craft headlines that leave the user wondering, e.g., “The Secret to Boosting Your Sales That Experts Won’t Tell You.”
Sense of Urgency: Incorporate deadlines (e.g., “Offer Ends Tomorrow!”) to push users into taking action.
2. User-Behavior Driven Personalization: Real-Time Adaptation
Personalization is no longer just about using the customer’s name in an email. In 2024, advanced data-driven personalization is key to delivering content that dynamically adapts to users based on their browsing habits, purchase history, or engagement levels. Implementing personalization increases CTR by 202% according to Campaign Monitor.
Strategies:
Dynamic Ads: Platforms like Facebook or Google allow you to create ads that automatically adapt based on user preferences, showing the right product at the right time.
Behavioral Retargeting: Show personalized ads to users who have visited your website but haven’t converted. Use data such as the specific product pages they visited to create hyper-targeted ads.
Geolocation Personalization: Adapt your CTAs or content based on the user’s location. For example, using location-specific offers can increase relevance and boost CTR.
3. Advanced CTA Optimization: Intent-Driven CTAs
Call-to-Actions (CTAs) are critical to driving clicks, but many marketers miss out on the advanced techniques that align CTAs with user intent. In 2024, it’s essential to design CTAs that are not only clear but also contextually aligned with where the user is in the buyer’s journey.
Strategies:
Intent Matching: Use CTAs that align with the user’s journey. For example, a “Buy Now” CTA is too aggressive for top-funnel users. Instead, use “Learn More” or “Explore Our Features” for better alignment.
Split Testing Button Design: Colors, shapes, and placement of CTA buttons significantly impact CTR. In one test, HubSpot found that red buttons had a 21% higher CTR than green ones.
Action-Oriented Phrasing: CTAs like “Unlock Now,” “Claim Your Spot,” or “Start My Free Trial” evoke immediate action and drive higher engagement.
4. AI-Powered A/B Testing: Faster, Smarter Optimization
Manual A/B testing is being replaced by AI-powered multivariate testing, where AI tools like Google Optimize or VWO automatically test multiple variables at once and learn which combinations produce the highest CTR. In 2024, you can accelerate your optimization process with predictive analytics.
Strategies:
Automated A/B Testing: Let AI test and optimize your headlines, images, CTAs, and layouts to predict what works best for your audience.
AI Recommendations: AI can now analyze user behavior patterns and make real-time adjustments to elements like font size, images, or content placement for each user, helping you dynamically increase CTR.
Hyper-Testing Multiple Variables: Test more than two elements at a time. For instance, try multiple combinations of headline, image, CTA, and offer simultaneously to identify the best-performing combination.
5. Create Interactive Content: Engagement Drives CTR
Static content is no longer enough to drive engagement. In 2024, interactive content like quizzes, polls, interactive videos, and calculators are proving to boost user engagement and significantly increase CTR. According to Content Marketing Institute, interactive content generates twice the engagement rate compared to static content.
Strategies:
Interactive Videos: Use tools like Vidyard or Wistia to embed clickable CTAs directly into your video content.
Quizzes and Polls: Create quizzes or polls that drive user interaction. For example, “What Type of Entrepreneur Are You?” or “Which Product Best Suits Your Needs?” tend to increase CTR by up to 30%.
Gamification: Adding elements of gamification like rewards, progress bars, or point systems can boost user participation and drive clicks on CTAs.
6. Use Rich Snippets and Schema Markup: Dominate SERPs
By leveraging rich snippets and schema markup, you can enhance how your content appears in search results, making it more clickable. Rich snippets can include star ratings, pricing info, product availability, or other elements that make your link stand out. In 2024, SEO is evolving, and CTR is crucial for organic rankings.
Strategies:
Apply Schema Markup: Use JSON-LD or microdata to add schema markup to your content. This helps search engines understand your page better and display rich snippets.
Focus on Rich Results: Aim for FAQ-rich snippets, how-to snippets, or product review snippets that appear at the top of search results, increasing the likelihood of a click.
Leverage Featured Snippets: Optimize your content to capture Google’s Featured Snippets (position zero) by providing concise, direct answers to common queries.
7. Voice Search Optimization: Adapting for Conversational Queries
With the rise of voice search through devices like Alexa, Google Home, and Siri, optimizing for voice queries is now essential. Users searching through voice tend to ask more conversational questions, and capturing this traffic requires a specific approach.
Strategies:
Conversational Keywords: Use longer-tail, conversational keywords that match how people speak. For example, instead of “best marketing tips,” optimize for “What are the best marketing tips for small businesses in 2024?”
FAQ Pages: Create FAQ sections optimized for voice search to answer common queries directly.
Featured Snippet Optimization: Voice search often pulls data from featured snippets, so targeting these positions will also optimize for voice.
8. Optimize for Core Web Vitals: Performance Drives Clicks
In 2024, Google’s Core Web Vitals—metrics like Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)—play a significant role in how your pages rank and how users experience your site. Optimizing for speed and usability is critical to maintaining a high CTR.
Strategies:
Improve Page Speed: Use lazy loading, reduce server response times, and compress images to ensure faster load times, especially on mobile devices. A 1-second delay in page response can reduce conversions by 7%.
Minimize Layout Shifts: Avoid layout shifts caused by slow-loading ads or images by reserving space for elements, preventing users from clicking the wrong button.
Mobile Optimization: Ensure your pages are fully responsive and optimized for mobile users, as mobile traffic continues to rise.
9. Use AI Chatbots for Higher Engagement
Implementing AI-driven chatbots can guide users to relevant content, answer their questions, and encourage them to take action, boosting your CTR. Chatbots engage users in a conversation, offering real-time recommendations based on their queries.
Strategies:
Proactive Chat Invitations: Use chatbots to proactively invite users to start a conversation, offering assistance or exclusive deals that encourage clicks.
AI Personalization: AI-powered chatbots can analyze user behavior and recommend tailored products, services, or content, driving higher engagement.
Exit-Intent Triggers: Deploy chatbots to trigger when a user shows exit intent, offering a last-minute deal or product recommendation.
10. Integrate with AR/VR Experiences: Immersive Content for 2024
Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) content is gaining traction in 2024, especially in eCommerce and interactive marketing campaigns. Brands that integrate AR/VR experiences can boost CTR by offering a more immersive, hands-on experience to users.
Strategies:
Virtual Try-On Experiences: Allow users to visualize products in their space (furniture) or virtually try on clothes or accessories before purchasing.
360-Degree Videos and Product Demos: Use 360-degree content or virtual tours to give users a more immersive feel of the product, making them more likely to click through and convert.
AR Filters on Social Media: Integrate AR filters into your Instagram or Snapchat campaigns to increase engagement and click-through.
Conclusion: Boosting CTR in 2024 Requires a Mix of Psychology, Personalization, and Cutting-Edge Tech
As we’ve explored, boosting your CTR in 2024 is about staying ahead of the curve with advanced tactics, AI-driven insights, and emotional triggers. By combining data-driven strategies, personalization, and new technologies like AR/VR and AI, you can significantly increase engagement and drive more clicks to your website or ads.

Issues with Writing a Self-Insert #1
In case y'all didn't know, I've been going through a reflective period recently, and I've noticed that fear of what others think has held me back in almost every single aspect of my life, and unfortunately fandom is no exception.
I remember when I was like 14 and I tried to write fanfiction for the first time (I don't remember even what fandom I was writing for). Unfortunately, I could barely type a single paragraph without immediately deleting all that I wrote and being overly critical of my lack of writing ability. Even at that age, in the privacy of my dorm room, I couldn't shake off the fear of failure (and I mean howw?? I wasn't the only 14 year old trying to write Wattpad fanfiction). I remember comparing myself to some of my peers who had an amazing talent for writing. For me, I didn't get jealous, but rather I got intimidated, so intimidated that instead of continuing on with something and being imperfect at it, I'd just drop the entire activity altogether.
Because of this habit, I missed out on a lot of potential opportunities for growth during this time. I guess I saw people who were amazing, assumed that they popped out of the womb like that or something, and just....gave up. If I could go back in time, I would tell young me to embrace the cringe, embrace the mess. So what if people laugh or look at you funny or immediately stop whispering to each other once they see you? It sucks, but you will find your people, and you will survive. Trying to be palatable to everyone just means that you stifle yourself.
Years later, I wanted to get back into fanfiction, but this time with very little creative writing experience. What held me back was the fear that someone would read something that I wrote and ridicule it for being something that only an angsty teen would write, except that I am no longer an angsty teen but an unfortunately angsty adult riddled with insecurity, and that reality would just make that hypothetical comment sting even more (that's another thing about me. I create hypothetical ways for people to roast me in order to talk myself out of doing stuff).
#getting involved in fandom has helped me in some ways overcome this fear by helping me embrace certain aspects of myself that I was previous#fortunately i did start to make strides against this before covid hit.#joining a beginner friendly dance team my freshman year really helped (unfortunately i had to stop since i think it conflicted with my job)#more advice for my younger self:#if you can't click with the people in your dorm literally just hang with the kids you know from anime club and robotics club more#also stay in touch with your friends from home! it will help you keep perspective on what normal teens get up to. and hang out with them mo#listen to your parents less. yeah you heard me. “children obey your parents” but maybe seek out more mentor figures who don't make you feel#so bad about yourself to the point of questioning your social skills. your social skills are fine! yes you're cringe at times but you#literally can't even drive legally yet. relax. yes you're allowed to relax even if you got a C (yes yes I know it's bad “it's not even a B”#on that test. in fact try intentionally having fun with cool people and see how your life improves#cooping up in your room to do The Thing is counterproductive#be. less. hard. on. yourself. “but Sarah can fence and can play 3 instruments”. i don't care.#elaine just chills with her friends and can't run to save her life. should she be hard on herself? no? then the same applies to you#you aren't incapable you just suck at time management. that's because you have adhd. yes you. it's not just the yt boy in elementary school#who threw things at people#that doesn't mean that you suck. there are ways to manage it. bullying yourself into being productive has not helped one bit#remember your childhood friend who is literally on the same campus as you but you somehow never see her? hang out with her more#matter of fact spend specifically the summer of 2018 at her house. it's fine y'all haven't drifted apart at all and you used to hog her#brother's ps3 to play ultimate ninja storm when you were 8.#if you mess up something it's fine. learn and keep moving forward#buy less takeout and spend more on clothes. i know you don't like the dining hall food but just buy laoganma or take shiitor from home#and slather it on everything. i know you're already doing that with sweet soy sauce. at least with shiitor you're adding protein#get someone to cut your hair you look better with shorter hair and we both know it. let mum seethe and cry that you're being “rebellious”#she's been saying that since you were like 10. also it would make taking care of your hair *so* much easier and less stressful#you don't need long hair to prove a point. actually the shorter hair will give you more gender euphoria#your hair needs more tlc that looser curls but c'mon you don't need *all* that product#learn to do fancy styles from the girls who can braid but let's be real you don't wanna spend more than 5 minutes on your hair in the morni#you literally go to school in new england be even more queer. queer-er than that. you don't need to be a “good queer”#also be more assertive about your pronouns. even with authority figures#uchiha-gaeshi ramblings

Troubleshooting Low Click-Through Rates (CTR): Technical Solutions for Better Performance
For any PPC marketing agency, particularly one based in Pune, low Click-Through Rates (CTR) can be a major hurdle in driving desired results for clients. As the world of digital advertising grows more competitive, CTR optimization becomes crucial for improving ad performance. Addressing low CTR through actionable strategies is necessary to increase traffic, improve conversions, and deliver successful PPC campaigns.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/51b48d515963099ecfeb7b9833a19e1a/5dfc72df45959e3c-ea/s540x810/49bf4c0b4d16039a3a4424614f827f8c34871eb5.jpg)
What is Click-Through Rate (CTR) and Why Does it Matter?
CTR is the ratio of clicks on your ad compared to the number of times the ad is shown (impressions). It serves as a key performance indicator (KPI) to measure the effectiveness of PPC ads. A low CTR can indicate that your ad isn’t resonating with your target audience, leading to poor campaign performance and lower Quality Score. Google prioritizes ads with higher CTR, as they are seen as more relevant, which can reduce cost-per-click (CPC) and improve ad positioning.
Common Reasons for Low CTR
Before diving into optimization strategies, it’s important to identify the root causes of low CTR. Common reasons include:
Irrelevant Ad Copy: Poor alignment between the ad copy and the search query can result in fewer clicks.
Non-targeted Keywords: Using broad or irrelevant keywords that don’t match user intent can cause ads to appear for the wrong audience.
Lack of Compelling Call-to-Action (CTA): A weak or unclear CTA may fail to entice users to click.
Poor Ad Placement: If ads appear in lower ad ranks, visibility decreases, leading to lower CTR.
Low-Quality Landing Pages: Users who aren’t directed to a relevant and high-quality landing page after clicking the ad may disengage.
Technical Solutions for CTR Improvement
Here are some effective strategies for improving your ad CTR:
1. A/B Testing for CTR Improvement
A crucial step to optimize your CTR is A/B testing. By comparing two versions of an ad, you can determine which version resonates better with your audience. Test variations of the following:
Headlines: Test multiple headlines to see which generates the highest click-through rate.
Ad Copy: Play with different versions of the ad copy to improve engagement.
CTAs: Test strong, action-oriented CTAs like “Buy Now” vs. “Learn More” to see which drives more clicks.
Incorporating A/B testing into your PPC campaigns helps make data-driven decisions, ultimately improving CTR.
2. Keyword Optimization
Effective keyword optimization is fundamental to CTR success. Use high-intent, relevant keywords that align with the user’s search intent. Here are some approaches to improve CTR with keyword optimization:
Long-Tail Keywords: Target long-tail keywords that are more specific and less competitive, often resulting in a higher CTR.
Negative Keywords: Eliminate irrelevant searches by incorporating negative keywords to prevent your ad from appearing in unrelated searches.
Match Types: Using a balanced combination of broad, phrase, and exact match types can better target relevant queries while expanding reach.
3. Ad Copy Optimization
To attract more clicks, you must write compelling ad copy that speaks directly to your target audience. Follow these best practices:
Highlight Benefits: Ensure your ad copy clearly states how your product or service will solve the user’s problem or add value.
Use Emotional Triggers: Appeal to the user’s emotions by leveraging language that evokes urgency or excitement.
Incorporate Power Words: Use words like “Exclusive,” “Free,” “Limited Time Offer,” or “Guaranteed” to captivate users’ attention.
4. Improving Ad Relevance and Quality Score
Google favors ads that are relevant to search queries. Improving ad relevance can significantly increase CTR, along with boosting your Quality Score. Here’s how to ensure your ads are relevant:
Ad-to-Keyword Relevance: Ensure that your ad headlines and descriptions include your target keywords to improve relevance.
Landing Page Relevance: Make sure the landing page is aligned with the ad, offering a seamless experience that meets the searcher’s expectations.
5. Ad Extensions
Adding ad extensions is an easy way to improve CTR. These are additional pieces of information that can be added to your ad, such as site links, call buttons, or structured snippets. They provide more value and give users more reasons to click. The common types of ad extensions include:
Sitelinks: Direct users to specific pages on your website.
Callout Extensions: Highlight unique selling propositions (USPs) like “Free Shipping” or “24/7 Customer Support.”
Location Extensions: Include the address of your business to appeal to local searchers.
6. Dynamic Keyword Insertion (DKI)
Dynamic Keyword Insertion (DKI) allows you to tailor your ad copy based on the user’s search query. DKI automatically updates your ad text to match the searcher’s keyword, resulting in more relevant and personalized ads that lead to higher CTR.
7. Bid Adjustments and Ad Scheduling
Consider making bid adjustments to increase visibility during peak times when your audience is more likely to click. Ad scheduling allows you to display ads only during the most effective times of the day, increasing CTR. Similarly, geo-targeting helps focus your ads on specific locations where your target audience is most active.
Conclusion
Improving Click-Through Rate (CTR) requires a multi-faceted approach, combining A/B testing, keyword optimization, compelling ad copy, By implementing these technical solutions, your PPC marketing agency in Pune can effectively troubleshoot low CTR and achieve better ad performance. This, in turn, leads to improved visibility, higher conversions, and enhanced ROI for your clients.

I spent the evening looking into this AI shit and made a wee informative post of the information I found and thought all artists would be interested and maybe help yall?
edit: forgot to mention Glaze and Nightshade to alter/disrupt AI from taking your work into their machines. You can use these and post and it will apparently mess up the AI and it wont take your content into it's machine!
edit: ArtStation is not AI free! So make sure to read that when signing up if you do! (this post is also on twt)
[Image descriptions: A series of infographics titled: “Opt Out AI: [Social Media] and what I found.” The title image shows a drawing of a person holding up a stack of papers where the first says, ‘Terms of Service’ and the rest have logos for various social media sites and are falling onto the floor. Long transcriptions follow.
Instagram/Meta (I have to assume Facebook).
Hard for all users to locate the “opt out” options. The option has been known to move locations.
You have to click the opt out link to submit a request to opt out of the AI scraping. *You have to submit screenshots of your work/face/content you posted to the app, is curretnly being used in AI. If you do not have this, they will deny you.
Users are saying after being rejected, are being “meta blocked”
People’s requests are being accepted but they still have doubts that their content won’t be taken anyways.
Twitter/X
As of August 2023, Twitter’s ToS update:
“Twitter has the right to use any content that users post on its platform to train its AI models, and that users grant Twitter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to do so.”
There isn’t much to say. They’re doing the same thing Instagram is doing (to my understanding) and we can’t even opt out.
Tumblr
They also take your data and content and sell it to AI models.
But you’re in luck!
It is very simply to opt out (Wow. Thank Gods)
Opt out on Desktop: click on your blog > blog settings > scroll til you see visibility options and it’ll be the last option to toggle
Out out of Mobile: click your blog > scroll then click visibility > toggle opt out option
TikTok
I took time skim their ToS and under “How We Use Your Information” and towards the end of the long list: “To train and improve our technology, such as our machine learning models and algorithms.”
Regarding data collected; they will only not sell your data when “where restricted by applicable law”. That is not many countries. You can refuse/disable some cookies by going into settings > ads > turn off targeted ads.
I couldn’t find much in AI besides “our machine learning models” which I think is the same thing.
What to do?
In this age of the internet, it’s scary! But you have options and can pick which are best for you!
Accepting these platforms collection of not only your artwork, but your face! And not only your faces but the faces of those in your photos. Your friends and family. Some of those family members are children! Some of those faces are minors! I shudder to think what darker purposes those faces could be used for.
Opt out where you can! Be mindful and know the content you are posting is at risk of being loaded to AI if unable to opt out.
Fully delete (not archive) your content/accounts with these platforms. I know it takes up to 90 days for instagram to “delete” your information. And even keep it for “legal” purposes like legal prevention.
Use lesser known social media platforms! Some examples are; Signal, Mastodon, Diaspora, et. As well as art platforms: Artfol, Cara, ArtStation, etc.
The last drawing shows the same person as the title saying, ‘I am, by no means, a ToS autistic! So feel free to share any relatable information to these topics via reply or qrt!
I just wanted to share the information I found while searching for my own answers cause I’m sure people have the same questions as me.’ \End description] (thank you @a-captions-blog!)

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR PPC ADS – 8 ADVICE YOU DIDN’T KNOW
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7c1d4898953fdc3c414aa8b3cfaf1684/b5c3439d52487fea-11/s540x810/dff73d3ac00c0747760a755777e5b63eb0aef27f.jpg)
Are you looking to increase your visibility and give your business a boost? Pay-per-click (PPC) ads are one of the most effective marketing strategies out there. PPC enables you to put relevant, targeted adverts in front of potential customers who are searching for products or services like yours. If used correctly, it can be an extremely powerful tool that can help drive more traffic and sales to your website. In this article, we’re going to look at some tips and techniques for improving your PPC campaigns so that you can get the best results from them. With these ideas, you’ll be on track towards seeing maximum returns from all of your marketing efforts!
TYPICAL PROBLEMS WITH RUNNING PPC ADS
Running Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ads can be a great way to generate targeted website traffic and leads, but like any marketing channel, it has its challenges. The most common problem businesses encounter when running PPC campaigns is inadequate budgeting. Without sufficient budget to run the type of campaigns needed, businesses will lack the data, insights, and optimization necessary to properly fine tune their targeting and messaging. Another challenge is competition. Depending on your industry and verticals that you’re targeting, there can be a lot of competition on both the search engine side as well as other PPC network platforms like social media ad platforms. This means that in order for your campaigns to be successful, you have to outbid your competitors in order to get more visibility for your ad messages. Last but not the least, key performance metrics should always be kept an eye on as PPC campaigns usually have numerous performance metrics such as cost per click, click-through-rate, cost per acquisition and return on investment among others which must all be monitored if you expect to run successful campaigns.
FIGURE OUT WHAT YOUR GOALS ARE AND WHO YOU WANT YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE TO BE
PPC Google Ads can be a highly effective tool for marketing, but to make the most of them and have the best results, it is important to understand your goals and your target demographics. Knowing who you are trying to reach will help guide the design of your advertisements and ensure they are tailored to the right audience. Once that is in place, creating campaigns around specific goals can help ensure these goals are met. From lead generation to increasing website traffic, having an understanding of both your goals and demographic helps focus efforts on what matters most and optimize results.

USE COMPETITOR ANALYSIS TO IDENTIFY GAPS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR OWN BUSINESS
Competitor analysis is an essential tool when trying to improve your PPC Ads. By monitoring the campaigns of competitors and seeing what kind of results they’re achieving, you can spot gaps where you can improve your own ads and identify targeting opportunities that better fit with your product or service. Through competitor analysis, you can take advantage of the market trends that your competitors have uncovered and make sure that your PPC campaigns stay ahead of the competition. All in all, it can be the key to improved click-through-rates and increased leads for your marketing initiatives.
Competitor analysis doesn’t require an extensive budget.
These free tools won’t give you the same detailed insights as the paid subscriptions, but they’re a good way to get started on a smaller marketing budget.
UberSuggest and Google Keyword Planner both offer a way to find SEO keywords with high monthly search volume.
Google Trends can help you plan pay-per-click campaigns and find search advertising trends to take advantage of.
There are also paid tools, for example Ahref’s Site Explorer to analyze your competitor’s paid ads and landing pages. See what keywords they’re targeting and using, and figure out which ones you should target as well.
IMPROVE YOUR KEYWORD RESEARCH
Increasing your PPC campaign success and engagement often depends on carefully researching the right keywords. Creating a comprehensive list of related terms will not only help you identify the most relevant ones to use, but also inform how to best target your PPC campaigns. Getting creative with different technologies can also help reveal more about audiences, discover new topics for content, and avoid costly mistakes in selecting PPC targets. Refining your keyword research is an important step in maximizing your PPC campaign reach and effectiveness. Through targeted analysis of search query patterns and organic website traffic, PPC campaigns can be customized to meet whatever goals you may have. By taking some time to refine your keyword research, you’ll reap the benefits it can bring to your overall PPC strategy.
For one of our clients, IM4U was setting up a Dynamic Search Ads campaign, but during a competitor analysis, we noticed that there were not enough keywords that were cheaper than usual. We set up the DCA campaign correctly, and as a result, the cost per conversion decreased and the number of conversions increased.
Below are some free keyword research tools you can use:
Keywords Anywhere
Google Keyword Planner
WordStream’s free keyword research tool
KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON YOUR PPC CAMPAIGN
When running a pay-per-click (PPC) campaign, it is extremely important to keep track of metrics and results in order to get the most out of the campaign and to ensure that your money is being used in the most efficient way. Keeping track of things like click-through-rates, cost per click, conversions, and cost per conversion can help you tweak your PPC campaigns for maximum efficiency. This data can be extremely useful for making decisions on budgets, targeting and other aspects of a campaign in order to drive maximum returns for your business. Analyzing key data points and making changes accordingly will ensure that your efforts don’t go to waste. Even one small adjustment based on your current data can have a real impact on the success of your business’s PPC campaign. With proper tracking and analysis, a PPC campaign can be incredibly effective in generating leads and growing your business.
LIST THE NEGATIVE KEYWORDS
Knowing which keywords to target is crucial for both SEO and PPC, but few realize the importance of negative keywords.
A list of negative keywords can go a long way toward eliminating the confusion around them and help you search more effectively. These are keywords that appear to relate to your business, product or services, but don’t.
For example, if you sell houseplants, one of your negative keywords might be “outdoor trees” or “landscaping.”
By setting a list of negative keywords, you can ensure that people searching for those keywords don’t accidentally end up on your website.
OPTIMIZE YOUR WEBSITE
Make sure your website is optimized as well. You need an effective landing page to convert your visitors.
Once the ad has served its purpose and the potential customer has reached your website, you need to make sure that your own landing page is also optimized to take the next step and convert the visitor into a sale.
Make sure your website has a fast-loading speed, your page should load within 2.5 seconds. Visual stability is also important. Nothing frustrates visitors more than losing the place they were just at because of a reloaded image.
Also, make sure your site is interactive and responsive when visitors click on elements.
A few other ways to make sure your landing page is optimized are to include photos of the products, so visitors can see what they might be buying. Also, make sure all product information is present, including a clear price. Finally, a strong call-to-action can make all the difference.
A/B TESTING
Your PPC ads can determine the success or failure of your entire strategy and waste your precious budget. That’s why you need to test and analyze your PPC ads texts. You can do this with A/B testing, which you can set up directly with Google Ads.
A/B testing involves running two ads with different copy to see which ad gets more clicks. Google then serves these ads to two different groups of viewers.
At the end of the test period, you have good data about which PPC ad was better optimized. This way, you know which PPC ad to use in the future, and you get valuable insights about what works when creating future PPC ads.
USING GOOGLE ADS FOR PPC OPTIMIZATION
Google Ads is a popular platform that helps you manage, optimize and analyze ad campaigns. As one of the largest and most used online advertising platforms, PPC marketers can use the tools to grow their business and reach new customers.
From the Google Ads dashboard, you can access many useful tools for your PPC optimization. For example, you can access Google Analytics from Google Ads to see how your ads are performing:
how your ads are performing
how many clicks you are getting to your website
Time-on-Page
where you are losing visitors
CONCLUSIONS
Creating successful PPC Ads takes time and dedication, but the results can be worth it. “If you choose PPC Ads, you will gain the following benefits: branding, increased sales, lead generation (registrations, applications and forms filled out), more traffic to your site and converting it into customers.” – Aleksandr Yaremenko, the CEO of IM4U.
It is important to remember that a PPC campaign will only be effective if you have a clear goal in mind and a strategic plan for achieving that goal. Figuring out who your target audience is and doing competitor analysis are both essential steps to creating the most successful PPC Ads. Once you know what keywords matter to your audience, you can use better keyword research to make sure you’re targeting them effectively. Keeping track of your campaign is critical; without it, your efforts may not yield any returns. Don’t forget to list the negative keywords, so your budget isn’t wasted on irrelevant search queries. Optimizing your website should also be considered in order to give users the best experience possible with your product or services. Finally, A/B testing can help you identify what ads lead to better results, so keep experimenting! With careful managing and adjustments along the way, Google Ads has become an efficient tool for optimizing campaigns for maximum performance with minimal effort inputted from the advertiser. With all these tips in hand, get ready to level up your PPC game!

Once again, I hope SAG strikes too

Update: They've voted to authorize a strike!
(I debated adding this to the original post or not, since it's mostly being reblogged by people reblogging from someone that isn't me. But @animeengineer was kind enough to grab the link below, so I'm putting it in the original post)
I saw a tweet somewhere that said (and I'm so sorry I don't have the link to it or remember who wrote it):
I think 47+% of SAG members voted, and nearly 98% of the ones who voted, voted yes.
In comparison, I think the last time they voted in favor of a contract, around 25% of SAG members responded, and of those that did, about 75% voted yes.
Another Update: They're doing it! SAG-AFTRA is joining the WGA on the picket lines, and not just in solidarity!

This isn't the Official from SAG-AFTRA, but they are voting this morning and if they don't strike, that goes against what all the members and the board and such have authorized.

★ Reset Your YouTube
With the new year approaching, there’s a buzz in the air. It’s the perfect time to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re heading. This year doesn’t have to look like the last one. If you’re planning a glow-up, stepping into a new mindset, or just becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be, here’s a method that can genuinely change the game: your YouTube feed.
Let’s be real, YouTube isn’t just entertainment. It’s also one of the most powerful platforms for self-improvement and learning. But if your feed is filled with videos that no longer serve your goals, it’s time to take charge and reset.
▸ Step 1: Unsubscribe From the Old You
First things first, go through your subscriptions and be brutally honest with yourself. Ask, “How often do I watch content from this channel? Does this align with who I’m becoming?”
Don’t worry about missing out. This isn’t about cutting off enjoyment—it’s about making space for growth.
Personal Example: I used to be subscribed to a lot of gaming channels because they were my go-to for entertainment. But now? I’m focusing on building my best self, so I said goodbye.
▸ Step 2: Hit the Reset Button
If you’re ready to go extreme (and trust me, this works wonders), delete your YouTube watch history. This is your ultimate clean slate.
Here’s how: Go to your YouTube settings, click “Manage All Activity,” and clear your watch history.
Why this works: YouTube’s algorithm will stop showing you videos based on your past habits. This means no more random recommendations that pull you back into old habits.
Pro Tip: Pair this with your new subscriptions to train the algorithm into showing you content that inspires and uplifts.
▸ Step 3: Subscribe to the Future You
This is the fun part. Fill your feed with creators who embody the energy you want to bring into the new year. Look for channels that motivate you, teach you, and align with your goals for 2025.
Being a femi girl, I will recommend some channels that are personally helping me upgrade myself:
Tam Kaur ▹ link
Alonna Elaine ▹ link
Bahja Abdi ▹ link
Adama Lorna ▹ link
Maya Galore ▹ link
Jillz Guerin ▹ link
Kisha Alejandra ▹ link
Thewizardliz ▹ link
Estelle Richter ▹ link
Simonesquared ▹ link
How to Find More: Search for videos with keywords like “level up,” “self-improvement,” “becoming her,” or “glow up in 2025.” Spend time exploring until you find creators who truly resonate with your vision.
▸ Step 4: Set Boundaries for Entertainment
It’s okay to watch fun and lighthearted content too, but be intentional. Ask yourself, “Is this adding value to my life?” If not, consider limiting your time with it.
Create playlists: Dedicate a playlist to motivational and growth-oriented videos. This will be your go-to space when you need a boost.
Schedule your entertainment: Watch for enjoyment, but don’t let it consume hours that could be spent learning or creating.
Resetting your YouTube feed might seem like a small change, but trust me, it’s powerful. When you surround yourself with content that aligns with your goals, you’re reinforcing the mindset and habits that will take you there!
So, I wish you the best of luck,

How to actually support small businesses on Etsy
With Christmas approaching and people starting to look for gifts, I thought it might be useful to let people know how to best support Etsy sellers, since we get a lot of sales this time of year! Etsy has a lot of policies that affect sellers which they don't really disclose to customers, and often there's a communication gap that can be damaging to sellers without customers intending them to. Hopefully this post helps more people avoid this kind of thing.
A while ago Etsy implemented the Star Seller program. When you go to an Etsy store, you can see badges at the top of the page, denoting if the seller has done well in three main categories:
Speedy replies
On time dispatch with tracking
Good reviews
If you clear the bar for all three as a seller, you're a Star Seller. This is an important badge for sellers, which I'll get to in a bit. Etsy evaluates your stats monthly, and bases them on three months' worth of data:
Each has specific determining factors, which also advantage large operations like dropshippers over small businesses, but we'll get to that too:
As you can see, the criteria is really demanding. You have to respond to 95% of first messages (ie. the first time someone contacts you) within 24 hours or you lose your Star Seller status. This can be really damaging to a small store.
You also have to dispatch 95% of orders on time, ie. within the set timeline you've chosen for an item listed, and you have to give tracking info. This, by the way, is frustrating and disingenuous; I ship my product in envelopes because they're small and thin, but the mail service in my country doesn't offer tracking for envelopes. I'm not going to spend up to 3x as much on shipping just to have a tracking number (shipping would cost half the price of my product if I did), but if I don't include tracking info I don't get a Star Seller badge even if I ship all my orders on time. I get around this by writing "unavailable" in the field where tracking info goes, but this still poses a transparency issue to customers and rightly so. I end up compensating by issuing a lot of replacements for delayed orders, which I can recoup costs of through my mail service which is a lot of extra work and time.
You also must have an average of 4.8 star reviews or higher. There are no adjustments made for small stores, and this is a big one where dropshippers have an advantage.
As you can see in my stats here, I had 11 reviews in 3 months. That means if just one person gives me a 4 or 3 star review, I lose my Star Seller status for 3 months unless I get a ton more reviews quickly. A dropshipper who makes hundreds of sales a week won't be affected by one middling review. And you'd be surprised how often people who leave 3 or 4 star reviews actually meant to leave better ones but clicked the wrong button without noticing, or just don't understand how the system works.
Because Etsy doesn't explain this to customers. So people will leave a damaging review in perfectly good faith. The number of times I've gotten an "excellent product, would buy again!" review with 3 stars is astounding. I always message customers to ask what I could do better and explain the system, and the response is almost always that there was nothing wrong, they just usually don't give anything higher than 3 out of 5 stars unless the product radically improved their lives or was transformative (and to their credit, most customers change their reviews after this exchange but again, it takes time and effort).
3 stars is average, and what customers rate is their experience receiving and using a product. What Etsy uses these ratings to gauge, however, is whether a customer was satisfied dispatch timelines, craftsmanship, and if a product met the expectations set in the listing.
As an added bonus, Etsy hoses money off sellers by offering to advertise for them. The way this works is that if a seller opts in, Etsy will advertise their store in relevant searches on search engines like Google, and in exchange they take a percentage from any sales made from clicks on these links. And then some. Because if a customer clicked an advertising link once, then Etsy will keep taking that cut from any further purchases from that IP address. So if you click a Google link to an Etsy store and then purchase from that store, and then bookmark that store and go back six months later to get another item, Etsy will keep taking their advertising cut with each purchase you make.
Depending on whether or not you opt in to advertising, Etsy can take up to 30% of your earnings in fees alone. That means if I sell, say, bookmarks for $10, I only get to keep $7. Hopefully that covers my operating costs, but if I charge more for an item that takes me a lot of time and work to make, I have to factor in that Etsy offers free shipping on orders over $35 whether or not sellers agree to give it. So if I sell a product that costs $35, not only do I only get to keep $24.50 of what I was paid after Etsy takes fees, I also have to cover the cost of shipping. And if I'm selling a product for that much, it's likely shipping will cost $5-10, so now my profit is down to $15-20 for an item I sold for $35.
Why is the Star Seller status so important? Because it's the main way the average Etsy store gets onto the algorithm and has visibility, and without visibility you don't have sales. Drop shippers can afford to purchase advertising space, so they'll always show up in searches. They can also afford to have a variety of products, high-end professional photos of their products, and because they have a lot of sales, the occasional bad review or delayed shipment won't cause a blip on their rating system. In comparison, the average Etsy store who makes, let's say, 50 sales a month (and that's a small store that's doing well), is going to feel the impact of a handful of 4 star reviews and one day of delayed orders/message replies due to a family emergency. If you contact Etsy customer service to explain your legitimate reason for having a delay, they're unable to intervene. They can't give you back your Star Seller status, which means you're dropped from the algorithm for the three months it takes for those delays to stop counting towards your averages, and you then have to work your way back up into the algorithm once that time passes, which is even harder to do. (And while you can put up an auto-reply, there's a time limit on how long it'll be up, which is usually 24-48 hours. Which may not work if you have a personal emergency that the average small business would understand and give you time off for in ways Etsy refuses to accommodate.)
So what can you do to support Etsy sellers?
- Give good reviews. If you have problems with a product, message the seller and give them the opportunity to fix the problem or send a replacement/refund. Unless you feel the need to leave a scathing 1 star review, don't leave one unless it's a 5 star. Etsy counts anything under 5 stars the same as it does one star. (This goes for Amazon, Uber, Deliveroo, etc. too. Review kindly.)
- Message sellers during the week. It's harder to get to messages during the weekend, and not everyone remembers to put on their auto-reply.
- Don't click advertising links. If someone promos their Etsy store on their own social media account, it's fine. So if you click a link from an instagram profile or a tumblr post, that's fine. But if you see a link on Google or in a dedicated advertising space, even if it's a sponsored spot on Etsy, don't click on it. Instead, search the shop name on Etsy and go to it through that search. This way the seller won't lose more fees to Etsy.

This is a replacement for various TS2 cutscene camera animation resources without bloom, grain, vignette and letterbox /OR with less of those/
NOTE: This mod is NOT an improvement of cutscene animations. It allows clean /or cleaner/ screenshots and that's it.
Less post effects in cutscenes
Download: SFS | BOX
updated 24.01.2025: first kiss scenes were all blurry, I've replaced those.
06.02.2025: Move in animation cutscene was black, I've replaced it.
This mod is still a work in progress! Some effects might switch on and off, also - At the end of the cutscenes anims tend to look glitchy, Sims rapidly changing position etc. That wonkiness is normally hidden by letterbox blackout.
People on Legacy TS2: Seems like EA removed sfx from cutscenes - so you don't need this mod to experience wonky cutscene endings xD
More under the cut:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9004799515540ec46f5f58ea216c3313/5a6815d65997b9c8-36/s540x810/0f7d30db9d396ec908bb9f1e01dc600986ffce96.jpg)
The ugliest of the effects IMO, the filmgrain (especially in dark/night scenery), luckily takes up a few frames at most and was the easiest to get rid of. Well, not always easy to remove, because in some cutscenes effects depend on other effects, like the filmgrain is added with vignette, not filmgrain (???) and vignette creates a mask for the blur effect so if you remove it blur becomes worse - but you can't remove blur cuz it makes entire scene black. It's f*cked up.
Even EA has failed to do that in their Legacy edit which has (some) sfx removed from cutscenes, but not all of it.
Not all animations have all effects removed. To remove these, you need to click on each effect ('Joint') frame in cAnimResourceConst tab, Sub mesh: (dropdown menu) / Postprocessingmaterial and set parameters to zero.
Usually that's one, or a few more frames, but for some anims it's 60, 80 or even 289 frames (letterbox, enter college without parent anim) - so I've skipped most of those.
Replacement contains resources:
o-cineCam-alienAbduction_anim o-cineCam-proposeReject_anim o-cineCam-graduationParty02_anim o-cineCam-cinematic-EnterCollege-withParent-2_anim o-cineCam-firstKissTeen_anim o-cineCam-alienBirth-2_anim o-cineCam-homeBirth_anim o-cineCam-hotTubPlayInF2M-2_anim o-cineCam-hotTubPlayInF2M-1_anim o-cineCam-firstKiss_anim o-cineCam-cinematic-EnterCollege-withParent-1_anim o-cineCam-weddingReject_anim o-cineCam-graduationParty01_anim o-cineCam-moveIn_anim o-cineCam-alienBirth-1_anim o-cineCam-hotTubPlayIn-1_anim o-cineCam-weddingAccept_anim o-cineCam-a-cinematic-enterCollege-noParent_anim o-cineCam-ProposeAccept_anim o-cineCam-hotTubPlayIn-2_anim o-cineCam-returnFromAbduction_anim o-cineCam-ProposeMaleAccept_anim o-cineCam-playInBed_anim
In case of some effects, if they take up many frames - usually letterbox - it's not enough to zero frame parameters, you gotta go to raw view and zero leftover parameters in there too.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/265478650fb508064e228c1a82979198/5a6815d65997b9c8-c8/s540x810/d11a123e5766c956176c6fa4d1ee397e63587c2a.jpg)
Also, as mentioned above, removing one effect can mess up another.

Why Firefox?
Firefox isn't trying to take away my ad blocking software, forcing me to wade through advertisements to traverse the web. I rarely have to stop and put up with ads in my day to day browsing experience. Google has made it very clear that they don't want you to have that power.
I'm very used to a specific UI in my browser, and I'm able to tweak Firefox to my needs. I don't use tabs when I'm at home, and being able to eliminate the tab bar can totally be done with Firefox (I won't elaborate on that here). However, there are many other things I can add to Firefox to improve my experience!
You know how sometimes you want to download an image on a webpage, but you can't right click on it, or it's hidden behind another element? I've got a Firefox tool for that called Right-click boroscope.
Don't want scripts to load in on a page, and cause havoc? Firefox has me covered again with NoScript.
I want to immediately reverse image search something I find regurgitated here on tumblr, in search of the original? There's a TinEye extension for Firefox to do that and save time.
For using tumblr more efficiently, there's XKit Rewritten. In Firefox.
Sick of Youtube's shitty search suggestions, and shorts being pushed? There's a Youtube Search Fixer add-on for Firefox for that.
I've also got the Wayback Machine integrated into Firefox.
The thing is, whatever reasons I enumerate to use Firefox, there are another hundred good reasons that other folks can add to this list no problem.
In some ways, it sucks that I should have to make so many modifications to my web browser to make it suitable for taking control within the modern webscape, but it also says alot that I have the freedom to make those modifications to my browser should I so choose. At work I'm forced to use chrome, and even though I'm only browsing ad-free internal corporate pages to get my job done, I still can't stand that experience.
We should be free to control our web browsing experiences. If a company finds a mantra like "don't be evil" too restrictive, maybe I don't want to help perpetuate their advertising machine (and don't think for a second that chrome isn't part of said machine). The web is supposed to be this free and open place, and it sure as hell isn't helped by browser monoculture. I really don't like the idea of supporting a monopolistic browsing experience that is the sea of chrome clones. Everything else seems to have turned into another chrome.
Fuck that noise.
So I will continue to use Firefox.
