If you think you can’t, know that you won’t. Instill within yourself that you can, and know that you will. Every action begins with thought. Every work begins with contemplation. If the basis of our souls are weak, we cannot do anything. Strengthen your soul, strengthen your heart, and become connected to God. All of these supplications that have been taught to us, inviting everyone toward reliance on God, are to instill within us strength. You have a tremendous support—the support of God Himself, the center of all power. So why should you resort to anyone but Him? What would such a person who has God, be afraid of?
— Imam Khomeini (r)

Every year on the last Friday of holy month of Ramadan, millions of Muslims worldwide participate in International Quds Day, a day established in 1979 by the Late Founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini.
The purpose of Quds Day, named after the Arabic word (al-Quds), is to demonstrate unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against Israeli occupation.
Large-scale rallies and marches characterize the day. Public figures deliver speeches, often inciting chants of "Death to Israel, Death to America."
Quds Day extends beyond Iran's borders. The 1988 decision by the Organization of the Islamic Conference's Jerusalem Committee ensured public events throughout the Arab world. Countries with significant Shia populations, particularly Lebanon where Hezbollah holds major observances, witness high turnout. Notably, groups like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad actively endorse and participate in Quds Day activities.
Leaders within the resistance movements view Quds Day as a potent symbol of unity and a message of unwavering support for Palestine. Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, emphasizes that Quds Day instills fear in Israel due to the projected image of solidarity. (TehranTimes.com)

Israel’s widespread airstrikes in Iran on Saturday crippled Iran’s ability to produce long-range ballistic missiles in a blow that will be hard and time-consuming to recover from, and rendered crucial energy facilities vulnerable to future attacks by destroying air defense batteries protecting them, according to multiple reports citing Israeli, American and Iranian officials, as well as satellite images analyzed by experts.
The strikes, which Israel’s Kan public broadcaster said reflected capabilities developed over two decades, indicated much greater freedom of operation for Israeli warplanes in striking Iran if the current conflict continues to escalate, as well as a setback in Tehran’s ability to continuously fire missiles at the Jewish state, which Jerusalem apparently hopes will serve as a deterrent against further attacks on the Jewish state.
The strikes targeted sites that reportedly include the secretive Parchin base near Tehran, which was used in the past for research and development of nuclear weapons, as well as a factory that manufactures drones. The attacks on the air defenses caused “deep alarm” in Iran, The New York Times reported citing three unnamed Iranian officials — one from the country’s oil ministry — since it rendered defenseless Khuzestan Province’s Abadan oil refinery, Bandar Imam Khomeini petrochemical complex and an adjacent major port, as well as the Tange Bijar gas field in the Ilam Province.
In addition, the report said citing the Iranian officials and three Israeli officials, the strikes disabled three Russian-made S-300 air-defense systems at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport and at the Malad missile base near the capital. This is in addition to a strike in April that took out an additional battery in the Isfahan Province.

Michigan's Dearborn, that has been labelled America's Jihad Capital has been witnessing many pro-Hamas, anti-America and anti-Israel rallies.
Chants of Death to America and Death to Israel were hurled at the International Al-Quds Day rally held in Michigan on the last day of Ramadan.
"Imam Khomeini, who declared the International Al-Quds Day, this is why he would say to pour all of your chants and all of your shouts upon the head of America," Tarek Bazzi, a Michigan-based activist linked to the Hadi institute, said in a video from the rally.
The activist went on to claim that US is "one of the rottenest countries that has ever existed on this Earth," while arguing to eliminate the entire American "system."
"It’s not just Genocide Joe that has to go," Bazzi said, referring to President Biden. "It is the entire system that has to go. Any system that would allow such atrocities and such devilry to happen and would support it – such a system does not deserve to exist on God’s Earth."
When Bazzi asked his audience, when "fools" ask them "if Israel has the right to exist," they chant "Death to Israel" is "the most logical chant shouted across the world today."
The remarks were followed by chants of "Death to Israel" from protesters in the crowd. Soon after, Israeli flag was desecrated at the pro-Palestinian event held on the last Friday of Ramadan in Dearborn.
Protesters were even heard chanting "Free Palestine" and "From the river to the sea," a controversial phrase classified as "hate" by many American Jews.
Dearborn called America's Jihad Capital by WSJ
According to US media Dearborn has become a "hotbed of hate for many years, with the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) Executive Director Steven Stalinsky calling it America's Jihad Capital.
Almost immediately after... and long before Israel began its ground offensive in Gaza,' Stalinisky wrote, 'people were celebrating the horrific events of that day in pro-Hamas rallies and marches throughout Dearborn.'
The city witnessed huge protests against US President Joe Biden last month, with activists from the town encouraging Democrats to vote "uncommitted" instead of supporting the president’s re-election bid.
"This type of extremism, this type of rhetoric, this type of division … threats of violence was a Middle East thing, it seems like a lot of that was limited to the Middle East, and now it’s come to our doorstep," Rep. Phil Green told Fox News Digital
Green said the majority of Dearborn’s citizens are peaceful and don’t promote violence, but he acknowledged the movements bubbling up from the town are worth monitoring closely for lawmakers.

Extremely know nothing about this topic, but if Shi'a Islam rejects the establishment of an Islamic state as illegitimate, how does Iran square that as a Shi'a Islamic state?
This is interesting, because when the revolution took place, the question about establishing a theocracy was not something many Shi'as had in mind. Imagine, 1400 years of persecution and we suddenly have a Twelver state? What the Hell? How do we reconcile with those facts when the last legitimate Islamic state was with Imam Ali (a)?
This is where the theory of Wilayat al Faqih shows up, which was introduced by S.Khomeini after the Islamic revolution in Iran. The principal idea is that political, social and religious affairs are to be decided by the religious scholar at the absense of an infallible Imam, while acknowledging their fallibility as Muslims. A referendum took place where 98% of the population ostensibly favoured Wilayat al Faqih. This paved the way for the justification of Shi'a Islamic law being introduced in Iran. A Shi'a Muslim is not obligated to follow it nor do they have to accept their religious decrees. So even if Khomeini passed down a fatwa, it's not incumbent upon a Shi'a to follow it, unless he follows Khomeini. The justification by Khomeinists is that it is simply preparing for the larger schemes, that is, the return of the Mahdi, thus the religious scholars act as custodians to prepare for his immiment return and defend themselves agains the existential threat posed by the imperialists. When the Imam returns, all Muslims will have no choice but to submit to his rule. However, WeF has grown popular as a result of Iran being the only country in the Middle East which is openly anti-zionist, anti-western and anti-imperialist.
But not every Shi'a agrees with Wef. If we look at Iraq, we'll see that despite the influence Iran has on its politics, the theory of WeF is relatively opposed, and even the religious center of Shi'i studies in Najaf follow the doctrine of sacrum and profanum being separated, because human nature is to sin, therefore it’s simply impossible for mortal men to establish an infallible system on Earth during the absence of the last Imam. Even Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali al-Sistani remains very neutral on this topic despite being the leading shi'a scholar of our time, having far more experience in Islamic law than Khomeini and Khamenei. The fact that Shi'a Islamic scholars differ in their opinions regarding WeF, has led to bloodshed.

Iran conducted successful space launch criticised by US
Iran said on Friday it had conducted a successful space launch, the latest in its programme that the US says improves Tehran’s ballistic missile programme.
Iran conducted the launch using its Simorgh programme, a satellite launch vehicle that has had a series of failed launches, from Iran’s Imam Khomeini Cosmodrome in the rural province of Semnan. It is the site of Iran’s civilian space programme.
Simorgh put what Iran called an “orbital propulsion system” into a 400-kilometre (250-mile) orbit above Earth, along with two research systems. The system could allow Iran to change the orbit of the spacecraft, something Tehran has long wanted to do in order to geosynchronise the orbits of its satellites.
There was no immediate independent confirmation that the launch was successful. The US military did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The announcement came as tensions in the Middle East rise over Israel’s ongoing war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip and an uneasy ceasefire in Lebanon.
The US has previously said Iran’s satellite launches contravene a UN Security Council resolution and urged Tehran to take no action related to ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons. UN sanctions related to Iran’s ballistic missile programme expired in October 2023.
“Iran’s work on space launch vehicles, including its Simorgh, would likely shorten the timeline for an intercontinental ballistic missile, should it choose to develop one, because the systems use similar technology,” the US intelligence community said in a July report.
Under Iran’s relatively moderate former president Hassan Rouhani, the Islamic republic slowed its space programme, fearing increased tensions with the West. The late hard-line President Ebrahim Raisi, a protege of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei who came to power in 2021, pushed the programme forward.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, a reformist who has repeatedly said he wants to negotiate with the US over sanctions, has yet to propose a strategy for Iran’s space ambitions.
Intercontinental ballistic missiles could be used to deliver nuclear weapons. After the cancellation of the nuclear deal with world powers, Iran is now producing near weapons-grade uranium. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency has repeatedly warned that Tehran has enough enriched uranium to build ‘multiple’ nuclear warheads if it decides to produce them.
Iran has always denied seeking nuclear weapons and has said its space programme, like its nuclear activities, is purely for civilian purposes. However, US intelligence agencies and the IAEA claim that Iran had an organised military nuclear programme until 2003.

A letter from Iran, to American university students:
(This is from the letter) …The Quran's lesson for us Muslims and all of humanity, is to stand up for that which is right: "So be steadfast as you have been commanded" (11:112).
Note: I noticed maybe 3 or 4 mistakes in the reading of the letter, and one of them is the word “ungovernable”, which must be replaced by “unforgivable“.
