kinda out of the blue question but, hi!! I've just gotten into berry sims for the first time and I'm kind of shambling in it. you're kind of the first person I've been able to find still playing them for sims 3, so I was wondering if you had any like. tips? idk. Lately Ive seen some awful things about antis and haters making threats and getting artists banned from Tumblr and X. Im new to the Phandom and love pompep but Im scared i'll be targeted if I write and share pompep fics. How do you manage sharing your work so bravely?

Firstly, welcome to the Phandom—and especially Pompous Pep! I have a simple protocol for enjoying a drama-free Tumblr experience:

Preventative Action

1. Find your community. Follow other Pompep fans and supporters and reblog their things. Don't be afraid to leave nice tags; we love and welcome interactions :) You can also join the Pompep Discord server if you enjoy chatting (DM me for details).

2. Turn off anon asks. This will solve 99% of all potential problems, and you can turn it back on whenever you want. Antis are cowards who prefer to hide behind the mask of anonymity. They seldom have the courage to say something with their whole username.

3. Block the obvious haters. This is a big fandom, and at some point you're likely to come across people openly hating on pompep, either on their bio, pinned posts, or comments. Block them. For an added layer of protection, add their username to your Filtering Options.

4. Tag your work appropriately. When posting, make sure your work is tagged correctly (the #pompous pep tag is especially important) so people who like pompep can find it and those who want to avoid it can block the tag. Use Content Labels when applicable.

5. Try to avoid using the platonic tag (#badger cereal) and the romantic tag (#pompous pep) at the same time. Some fans are really touchy about this. I'm not, and I think there are legitimate cases where use of both is applicable, but if you want to minimize friction, just stick with one tag or the other.

If you're not sure which tag to use, ask yourself what your intentions are with your art or fic. Is the goal a romantic relationship? If so, use the pompep tag. If it's truly ambiguous and could be seen either way, use the platonic tag first. You can always add another tag like "okay to tag as pompep", just to let people know they can interpret it however they please.

Responsive Action

If the above guidelines aren't 100% effective, here's what you do:

1. Don't feed the trolls. If you receive any negative asks in your inbox, it's important to NOT engage with them. Delete them, ignore them, don't let them get to you. Antis thrive on attention, so let them starve. Eventually they'll move on when they realize they're not going to get a rise out of you.

The same goes for any negative comment left on your work. Just delete it, block the person who left it, and pretend it never happened.

These asks and comments may come in the form of questions. Example: "How can you ship Danny with Vlad? That's [insert gross accusation here]" Resist the urge to answer these questions. They are not made in good faith. This person just wants to start an argument.

2. Report any harassment. If by some chance you receive a seriously hateful ask, like threats of violence or abuse, take a screenshot for proof/safekeeping, then report the message and the user if they're not anonymous. If the ask is anonymous, use the meatball menu (•••) at the top right to report the message and block the anon.

Final Words

It takes time to develop a thick skin and Don't Give A Fuck attitude, but it can be done. You are a phan. You have every right to be here and enjoy this fandom in peace, just like everyone else. Anyone who believes in harassing others over silly things like which cartoon characters should be allowed to kiss clearly has nothing better to do with their life. The sooner you shut them out, the happier you'll be.

Regarding media: Artists attract a lot more negative attention than writers for reasons I won't get into right now, but if you're mainly a writer, you will enjoy a much quieter fandom experience. Wherever you post your stories—I recommend AO3; DM me if you need an invite—follow the same advice there as I've given here: make sure your work is tagged correctly; support your fellow Pompep fans by reading and commenting on their works, building that community; moderate comments if you're concerned about negativity; block and mute users if they give you any trouble, and you'll enjoy a much more positive fandom experience.

There is strength in community. When you start making new fandom friends, you'll feel a lot less lonely, and that will give you the confidence you need to really have a good time here.

Anon, as far as I am aware, there is no *one* big masterlist.

Several people in this fandom have made their own rec lists over time, of course, from the very beginning. (The older they are, unfortunately, the higher the chance that some links might not work anymore, but you can still try them out!) I have a "fic rec" tag on my main blog (linked in case you want to know the source; that tag contains other fics too, not just Bering and Wells, but all of them femslash), and here are some Bering and Wells specific lists that I've found going through it:

I myself am trying to assemble recs on an individual basis. Almost a year ago, I tried to make a list of what has been already recommended through this post, but now that is way out of date, of course.

Beyond these lists, the usual tips for AO3 and Tumblr apply (under a readmore for length):

when you found a fic you liked, click on the author's name and see what else they've written for the ship/fandom, see if you like those too

check if that author's bookmarks are public; those are fics that they liked, and maybe you'll like them too

and then with those fics, you can go to *those* authors' profiles and see what else *they* have written - and so on.

Don't forget to bookmark and/or download these fics so that you can find them again. You need to have a user profile yourself to bookmark fics (and that's not the only advantage; I highly recommend it - and remember, you can set your bookmarks to private if you want).

also, please please consider leaving kudos and comments on fics that you've liked - a lot of authors are still active in the fandom/for the ship, and kudos and comments always help us *stay* active, because they tell us that people still enjoy what we create. Even if the specific fic in question is from the early days of the fandom, kudos and comments are always welcome.

same goes for reblogs on Tumblr, be it the above lists, individual fic rec posts, or posts from the authors themselves with or about their stories.

some authors with a Tumblr blog also have a dedicated "my fics" tag or link on those blogs. Always worth clicking through from an individual Tumblr post to the author's blog, and seeing if something like that is on it - and if the author is still actively writing, consider giving them a follow (and reblogging their fic posts; I've heard from so many authors that their fic posts barely get any reblogs at all to spread the word)

I hope that all or at least some of these tips are helpful to you, Anon - there is a lot of great stuff out there, and you're right, it can be a bit daunting to figure out where to start. And hey, it's always okay to click back out of a fic you find you don't like. No harm no foul, even if the fic came recommended; everyone's taste is different! As a person with DID who has successfully fused alters/parts, do you have any information, resources, or advice for systems hoping to do the same?

My system is hoping to reach a point where we can act and function as one, but it’s been horrible trying to find resources on fusion. Nearly every article about fusion we could find places this second to functional multiplicity and seems to confuse fusion and integration. Or worse, claims that fusion is a way to kill alters!

Our therapist has been immensely helpful, but we find ourselves wanting to read more about this process or hear from others who have successfully managed a fusion. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Hi, anon. I'm so sorry that you've been struggling to find resources on your desired recovery. I went through that struggle too, it's hard. I'm glad you have a therapist to help you out through all of this.

If you want, I've talked about my own experience with final fusion on this blog and I'm always open to talking about it more if there's anything in particular you want to hear about!

Definitely seek out other systems who have experience with partial/full fusion, too. Off the top of my head, there's @system-of-a-feather, @reimeichan, @hiiragi7, and @smokee78 (hope it's okay to tag you guys!). They haven't been active recently, but back when I was working towards final fusion, @puppydeathfarts made posts that I found really helpful. If there's anyone else who has experience with partial/full fusion, though, please leave a comment!

I also recommend checking out Rachel Downing's experience with final fusion/full integration and Jess's from Multiplicity & Me:

Their experiences helped me feel less alone when I was pursuing final fusion. There was also another person, but unfortunately they left the community due to harassment and deleted their posts. I will forever for grateful to all of them for being brave enough to share this vulnerable and personal part of their lives, they've certainly given me the strength to share my own.

As for articles, unfortunately I don't know of too many that don't stigmatize final fusion. DID-research offers a good summary of final fusion and a few interesting links to check out here.

You can find a bunch of free downloads for self-help books here. Out of all of them, I feel like Coping with Trauma-related Dissociation is a great self-help book for people who are a being supported by a therapist and interested in pursuing harmony and stronger integration within their dissociative system. I don't think it would've been possible for me to achieve final fusion or even functional multiplicity without the techniques I learned from this book. I cannot emphasize how useful it is!

Some extra things from me:

You have to work with your parts, first. You can't skip ahead to fusion. Aim to pave for understanding, acceptance, and harmony within your system. Fusion, if you want it, is the natural progression to that!

There are ways to test out fusion. Talk to your therapist about "blending" (it's also described in the coping book, but definitely mention it to your therapist). You can test out what it's like to be fused as many times as you want.

Fusion can feel weird at first. It shouldn't feel bad, but it can be strange. It took me time to get used to it. It can also feel differently depending on what stage of recovery you're in... ->

When I still had amnesia and less co-operation in my system, fusions slid under the radar and surprised the hell out of me! As I continued lowering those dissociative barriers, developing better communication and co-consciousness as a system, things become way clearer.

After you become fully fused for the first time, it's completely okay if you fall apart a few times before it really sticks! Final fusion is a process, not a destination.

You're allowed to choose whatever labels you want after final fusion. Call yourself a system or plural or say you've become a singlet or whatever you want. It's also okay to go unlabeled!

Your parts aren't gone after final fusion, but that separation is gone and it's okay if you need to mourn that. Sometimes I miss what it was like being fragmented. It's not because I want to be fragmented again, but because that was how I lived my entire life up until now, it was what was most natural to me, and it had its good and bad sides. I'm thankful for it because it was that separation which allowed me to survive! I view this similarly to how it was like to move recently. Sometimes I miss my old home, but that doesn't mean I want to go back or that I'm not happier where I am now. Things can be complicated like that!

After final fusion, you continue to learn new things about yourself and your system. It's a new journey in of itself -- a very, very wonderful one. 💚

The Cardinal's Bride by @ramblingoak If you’re not following along with this, you’re REALLY missing out. This is pure bodice-ripper GOLD. Some of the most satisfying slow burn I have EVER read. I reread the whole thing every time Oak drops a new chapter.

The Prince by @kissingghouls Vampire!Terzo x slayer!reader need I say more? I am loving the latest installment of Suck Club (you should really read them all). Terzo is pathetic and wears crop tops and it has me actually kicking my heels and giggling as I read.

Azra is beautiful name , with even more beautiful meaning. I admit I’m surprised by this discovery , in a good way of course. The combination of the latter A and after that Z is something rare ( for me ).

My country have close links to your home country that some stuff even blend and I’m not sure from where they are . Tho I don’t think it matters , every country is influenced by at least one other throughout their history till now. We are all so alike and yet different, making it everything more unique and special.

As for the “westernisation” of languages I do feel you. I found it hard to study English at first , because my own language was worded differently. Of course there are more reasons.

Personally I have learn … more about the violent and not nice side of history … I have recently seek more knowledge and I’m more than happy. Jin I have a problem 😔 I went to the doctor for my chronic back pain and he diagnosed me with big breasts what do you think I should do?

Well that certainly could be a problem, you could always see if you can find somebody willing to offer you a hand or two with supporting them. I'm sure there a lots of guys who would be willing to volunteer for that kind of job.

If you want some more practical solutions my admin and I came up with several things you could try:

Make sure you get properly fitted for a bra, most women are wearing the wrong sized bra and a proper fit will help relieve some of the stress.

Try exercises that increase upper body muscle strength. A lot of strain is put on the muscles in your shoulders (and back) by larger breasts so making them stronger can't hurt.

Make sure to take care of and relax the muscles in your shoulders and upper/lower back. Massages from someone you love are a great way to do this, especially if you combine it with a massage oil that can help relax your muscles like peppermint.

Talk to your apothecary for recommendations on medicines you can take to help alleviate the back pain. Again something that has a muscle relaxer in its ingredients would be a good idea rather than just a standard pain killer.

Improve your posture, this is a self feeding problem. A larger chest can worsen your posture which in turn causes more muscle pain which then worsens your posture etc. I'm sure Sariel could help you out with ideas on how to work on your posture.

Talk to your Dr again and find out about the pros and cons of surgery. If it's really bad a reduction may be your best option but I've heard it can cause issues with breast feeding later on so that is something to keep in mind depending on your age and what you want out of life.

A heating pad or hot water bottle can help ease your muscles too, just be careful not to burn yourself.

We hope these help you out, or anybody who has this problem really and if anybody thinks of anything else anon, or anyone else, could try go ahead and leave a comment.

(and never apologize for a rant!!! this shit fuels me!!!)

(honestly i did not have context for that scene when i wrote it. it's some show. we know showfall delights in comedic violence and horror there was something going on idk.)

second person i feel like gets such a bad rap as a writing style (it has. a certain x reader oeuvre.) but it can be so good and so evocative and so funny and by god if i had to write these scenes with two characters he/him-ing it up i would. explode.

the short summary (which i am inordinately proud of) traces back to a line from harrow the ninth: "'Falling' was not the right term precisely. It was a long process. She more correctly climbed down into love, picked its locks, opened its gates, and breached its inner chamber" pp. 49 of the paperback. if you like what i'm doing especially with the usage of second person, i really cannot recommend harrow enough (though probably you should read gideon first. i mean you could skip it it would be funny but you shouldn't.)

I'm sorry about your situation. It sounds like the dynamic at home is not the way it should be and you deserve better.

I found this article talking about how to move out. It involves generating a stable income, finding a safe place to live, figuring out to continue your education, and potentially emancipating yourself, although emancipation is not necessary.

The article recommends to try and come to an agreement with your guardians if possible, or potentially reach out to extended family members if they may be able to offer a place to stay. But it notes that "it’s illegal for minors to stay with a family member without the permission of their parents or guardians." It also recommends to look into the renting laws for minors where you live, and ultimately make sure you have a good support system throughout all of this.

as for me personally, i will ALWAYS recommend The World is Light, Embodied by @davnittbraes. It is so worth the read. I actually read this chapter before I read anything else, and holy shit, it changed my brain chemistry.

I also am enjoying Be Like Me by @tremendum!

Well, it will come as no surprise that the first person I'll recommend is @randomshyperson. Seriously, her stories are simply the best, there's not a single one of her stories that I don't like. And her new series, Rulers of The Multiverse, is UNBELIEVABLY PERFECT! But I recommend all the others as well, anon, go binge read her masterlist too!!!

If you like endless pain, I obviously recommend @messedupfan. This person here breaks me every time but I keep coming back for more because their stories are that good. If you read for other Lizzie characters, I highly recommend the Should've Told You series (Leigh Shaw x reader), it's easily one of my favorite things in the world.

Another person I 100% recommend is @8bitscarlet. I have only read their Wanda stories, but I can assure you they are all excellent. If you're looking for series I would recommend I Hear A Symphony, seriously, you won't regret it.

I also recommend with all my might @tastetherambeau (NSFW blog @overtherambeau) she's simply brilliant and I strongly recommend Can't Take the Heat and Flatline (NSFW).

There is also @maximotts. I love not only what she writes but the way she writes, it's very beautiful to read. My favorite story of hers I think would be Desires Unspoken.

Another one if you want to cry your eyes out, @wellsayhelloaagin! I really liked The Same Nightmare, New Life and Left Behind, they made me hate being alive for an entire week. But she has some great fluffy and smutty stories to so you should check that out!

And let's not forget @missmonsters2! The queen of fanfics, one of the writers that inspired me to start writing! She has amazing stories! I recommend you to check out her masterlist. But a recent one I really liked was The Truth by Liquor, it's lovely.

There's also @vancityfire13, she has great stories! I believe she writes more for Natasha, but her Wanda stories are so good as well!! I think my favorite would be Beach Days, it's so so lovely.

Oh!! @reminiscingtonight!! Pain. Pain. Pain. Pain. I get a shiver down my spine every time I get any notification from her blog, because I know I'm going to suffer. But it's all worth it! And if you're looking for something that's not heartbreaking, I recommend the lovely one-shot Accidentally in Love.

This became a longer post than I thought, so I put the recs under the readmore line (I really hate long posts showing up in my time line).

While the summary doesn't indicate it, this story is actually very very Ron-centric.

This is adorable, angsty and just beautiful. I also recommend everything else by that author, but all of their stuff is over on FFN. My favs are The Boogeyman (read the A/N at the beginning!) and Spitfire.

And if you're not keen on starting WIPs, read it anyway. Because you can read it as it is. No cliffhangers or anything.

Or how Harry falls in love with every one of Ron's freckles long before he realises he's in love with his best friend.

Harry can’t get the words out, but Ron is by his side, the back of his hand pressed against Harry’s, his eyebrows scrunched up as he sobs quietly.

“Stay,” Ron whispers after dinner, when everyone gets ready for bed, pale faces looking empty and wiped out. “Don’t go back to Grimmauld Place. Stay here, Harry. Please…”

Harry nods, then follows Ron upstairs, to the room where they’ve spent countless summer evenings, chatting in bed with a laugh and a cheeky grin on their faces.

They lie in the dark in silence this time, and Harry feels so cold.

Oh, the angst. You'll get a truck load of angst with this but also so much Rarry-goodness. Great story written by a talented author.

If Ron didn’t somehow tell Harry the truth now, Draco would never know how he truly felt. Because Draco had made Ron swear to not tell his loved ones they were dating—not yet, not until Draco was ready. And Ron had agreed. But now, as he lay dying on a sidewalk in some random Muggle town, Ron rather wished he would’ve broken that particular promise.

When Ron doesn't return home from a mission as expected, Draco has to swallow his pride and figure out what happened to him.

This is a angsty and fluffy story. Very very sweet.
