Bestie, what's been going on for the past 2 years? What's been happening with you?
Bestie, sooooo much!
First I started dating, so I kind of lost interest in writing reader insert fanfic for a while, you know? I kept writing, because I love writing, but I wrote other kinds of things. Except I broke up too lol anyways
I started working, like, A LOT, so I took a lot of time away from social media, including tumblr (sad).
And, to top it all off, I went through some processes of self-discovery (yaay therapy) and I'm learning to navigate my life better. To sum it up, that's it hahahah and you, anon, how have you been these last two years?
And what's been happening around here while I've been gone? I heard a lot haha

The walk through the cemetery is quiet and cold, as usual.
The grass under your feet makes a funny noise due to the humidity caused by last night's rain, and the birds in the trees sing the announcement of a new morning.
Taking these narrow paths became part of your weekly routine a few years ago when you lost your wife in an accident during a climb on a dangerous trail.
The first few months were the hardest, as you spent hours on end in front of that cold tombstone, crying your eyes out. After the first anniversary, things started to change.
You needed to put your life back together, and so you did.
Afterward, your visits to your wife's grave every Thursday became a light-hearted, one-sided conversation. You told her everything you had done that week. You told her about your thoughts, your hobbies, and your work; and you felt that every time the wind blew in your face it was a way for her to answer you.
A few months ago, things changed again.
You weren't here the day the headstone next to your wife's was placed. But the next time you went to visit her, a tearful red-haired figure was standing in front of it, her eyes watering.
After all these years, you still didn't know how to react when you ran into someone else in the cemetery. Should you interact or not? Talk about the weather? Say you were sorry? Every time, you just gave a shy smile and then looked away. It was always enough, after all, they were people you would never see again. So that's what you did, to which the woman returned with an even smaller smile.
The following week, however, she was there again.
The greeting was also repeated, as it was for the next several weeks when you met in that cemetery.
One of you would arrive first. Someone murmured the first good morning and it was reciprocated by a similar one. When it was time to leave, you said your goodbyes with a nod, and life went on.
This week, however, was a little different.
“You dropped this,” the woman's voice took you by surprise as you walked away from the tombstone and you had to blink a few times before you realized that she was actually talking to you. When you looked at her again, you saw that she was holding a green badge with white lettering.
“Gee, thanks, I'd have a lot of trouble if I lost that again,” you say with a soft laugh as you take the badge in your hands. The woman giggles shyly, not knowing what to say, and you sniffle embarrassedly, regretting over-sharing. “Anyway, thanks.”
“You're welcome. I keep losing mine too.” You have no idea if she's telling the truth or if she's just trying to make conversation. Either way, you giggle and offer your hand for her to take. “My name is Y/n.”
“Wanda.” She says as she shakes your hand and you frown slightly at the sound of the unusual name. “I'm not from here.” She explains, almost as if reading your mind, and you giggle, nodding in understanding. “I figured. It's a beautiful name.”
She blushes, surprised by the compliment, and you feel your own cheeks flush as you realize the words that have just come out of your mouth.
Suddenly, you realize where you are and whatever is happening here feels extremely wrong. Filthy, even.
So you discreetly pull your hand away and take a few steps back before saying, “Well, thanks a lot anyway, Wanda. See you around.”
“See you around.” She answers back, her own feet taking her further away from you.
After one last exchange of smiles, you make your way towards the car, as usual. But this time, the image of the redhead remains in your mind for the rest of the day.
