My definition from pulling tadbits from my short term memory brain is; A proshipper is someone who believes in "ship and let ship" and thinks that you shouldn't harass anyone over fiction or a ship regardless. Proship is NOT the following: A genre of ship, a verb, a shortened word for "problematic shipping". Proship IS the following: Anti-harassment, ship and let ship, pro-fiction, pro dark fiction. The 'pro' in proship means for and to be in support of, the word essentially meaning you are in support of.. ships!

It's essentially the default setting. You can be proship and still not like dead dove or dark fiction tropes associated with the proship term! You just have to not be an asshole about it basically. For example, I don't like minor rpf but you know what I do to people who do like it or post about it? I block them. Simple! It's very similar (or essentially the same thing) to Kink tomato! (YKINMKATO or Your Kink Is Not My Kink And That's Okay)

maybe it’s the aroace in me but f/o’s are so much easier to deal w/ than real ppl. Were dating someone out of sys and it’s so draining and uuuuhhhrrrggg but f/o????? If I’m upset by a relationship??? ive always wondered this as well bc im fictoaroace and the reason i came up with atleast is that with selfships, you have more control with the relationship and can take it at your own pace because.. well, its a fictional relationship, you control what happens in it most of the time. theres no pressure for requirements sometimes because its at YOUR pace, not on an agreed pace between a you and a partner but YOUR pace.

I tried to make my first Proship account on TikTok out of all places…yeah no I got rid of that, was too ashamed to do anything else before I went to tumblr and it’s so much better here

now listen, i only have tiktok to save silly videos but ive seen the proship side of tiktok and its a WARZONE. do NOT say ur proship on tiktok or else theyll publically execute you and say the cruelest shit to you IMMEDIATELY like its genuinely horrifying. id consider tiktok to be one of the worst places to be proship on because you have people who are there to bait, genuinely horrible people and all kinds of shit. tumblr is much more nicer because alot of the people here are older than 5 (no offense to anyone who uses tiktok but its scary dude..)
