I love 'amazing friend' peter pettigrew because it makes the betrayal so much more painful. give me peter who learns that james has adhd and researches it for how best to support him. give me peter who spends hours in the potions lab and herbology classrooms trying to create numbing and soothing ointments to help remus on his bad joint pain days. give me peter who joins in on girls night, gossiping with them and letting them do his nails and makeup. give me peter who realises that sirius is in love with remus before they even realise themselves, and who prompts them in the direction of each other for months, without them ever realising. give me peter who tries to save regulus from his fate even as they both work for the dark lord, only because he knows how much sirius cares about his little brother.

I’m going to be real. I’m not a fan of jealous!Eddie.

I know everyone has been hyped for Eddie to be all jealous of Tommy and Buck, but I’ve just had bad experience with Jealous!Eddie from the side of the fandom that woobifies Buck and makes Eddie into a macho, suave stereotype. I’ll probably stay out of the 911 fandom for a while if they do go the jealous!Eddie route, because it makes me cringe on instinct.

I am happy for Buck, though. He deserves to figure himself out and have a healthy relationship. I just hope that if/when he and Tommy break up, neither he nor Tommy gets hurt.

Im about to watch Sissi (1955) but before I do, I want to talk about it a little because I actually saw part of this movie before. Basically, my mom and I were going on a small roadtrip to see a musical in abother city and I brought my Elisabeth 2001 CD and we listened to it and I explained the context of the songs to her because it only had 16 of them on it, it was very nice. But it made her mistakenly believe that I was interested in historical or Sissi-media in general, so when we were in our hotel room and we had some time, she suggested that we watch Sissi (1955) and again, I wasnt really interested, but I agreed and we ended up watching the first 20 or so minutes before we had to leave, we severely overestimated how much time we had lol. But I feel like not a lot happened in those 20 minutes, all I remember is Franz Joseph is very busy, Elisabeth is homesick, Sophie does NOT like her, there was this guard-guy who had a very sillygoofy crush on her, and when we left it was at the start of her hungarian lesson, she was like "ach, something about hungary just speaks to me" and thats it. I also remember getting this post-war-country-reminiscing-about-its-"glory days"-vibe from this film, although Im not sure if that actually has anything to do with the filmitself, or if me knowing that it was made in the 1950s colored my perception of it, so Im curious if seeing it again and in full will be any different. I also ended up telling that anecdote to my therapist recently and she told me she grew up with the trilogy and apparently it is pretty kitschy, but I hope it'll be a kind of kitschy I can enjoy. Oh, also I told her that I was kinda interested in seeing them but also not because Ive found all the 50s movies Ive seen pretty boring so far (this was wayyyy before I decided to do this whole thing), and she recommended that I watch the films Audrey Hepburn did and it just so happens that I have one of those on my list, so Im curious about that one too

Also, this isnt related to anything I just said, but Ive been thinking about this since yesterday. When I wrote that line in my Ludwig II — Glanz und Ende eines Königs (1955) review where I was like "It was refreshing seeing a film about a different genre of mentally ill man", obviously referring to Rudolf only, I was originally going write smth like "royal" instead of "man" there, but then I looked back on my list and I remembered all the previous movies Ive seen and I realized that not only do they not portray Elisabeth's mental issues or suffering beyond being like "shes sad :( for reasons :((", these movies have really not been about her. I mean, Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich (1921) was but that one was like 30 seconds long. After that we had Das Schicksal derer von Habsburg (1928) which was mostly about Rudolf, then Elisabeth von Österreich (1931) which, idk if I would say that one was mostly about Rudolf but it was certainly about him a lot for a film named after her, then we had Sissy (1932), The King Steps Out (1936) and L'Aigle à deux Têtes (1948) which were all obviously inspired by her but theyre mostly just made up bullshit, and then inbetween that we also had Erzsébet királyné (1940) where she was a supporting character

And thats interesting to me because when I started this project, I was expecting the romantic image we have of Sissi to be more 'built up' in cinema, if the way Im phrasing that makes any sense, but thats really not the case and it really seems like that image that would be regurgitated and then subverted by media that's more "real" only comes from this one movie, or rather movie trilogy, and idk, I just think thats interesting

I do believe this is true to some extent but what if that's just the Lu Guang that's had to see Cheng Xiaoshi die in his arms for god knows how many times? What if he changed Homura style?

What if LG of the first timeline was more open? What if he didn't mind CXS being so touchy all the time? What if he even enjoyed it?

I only managed to realise this while watching the last ep of season 2 but whenever LG refuses CXS's requests to be physically close he has this look of yearning but also resignation in his eyes.

I wonder if it hurts LG to touch CXS when he has a vivid memory of him bleeding out on his arms. Does the warmth of every touch linger on his skin like a ghost not quite dead yet?

I suppose the only way to not go mad in your quest to bend time to save the one you love is to resign a bit, pull back from everyone so when they leave you -or when you leave them- inevitably, it hurts a little less.

lu guang is so funny he’s so in love with this guy he’ll rip apart time and space for him he does not care who gets hurt in the process. but he can’t express genuine love and affection because that’s cringe

i feel like abby would thrive with a really annoying pestersome girlfriend. a yapper with no off button. 

at first she found your endless chatter a little irritating. to you, silence felt cold and awkward and you were trying hard to befriend her. when patrols were uneventful you’d start on your little tangents, analyzing the philosophy of whatever book you’d read recently. she never understood what you were talking about, but never had the heart to tell you to be quiet. you always took her nods and “mhms” as the go ahead to keep talking. you weren’t too good with social cues. it took some time, but abby started to find your observations endearing. 

you loved to be big spoon and lay in the dark with her. when her insomnia acted up and her thoughts grew too loud, she knew you didn’t mind being woken up for a bit just to chat. 

“would you still love me if i were a bug?” your eyes were still closed, the need for sleep hanging on your eyelids. you rubbed abby’s back trying to coax her into relaxation. 

“yeah probably. i think i would keep you in my pocket.” 

“would you still love me if i was infected? like full blown fungus face, completely out of my mind, nearly unrecognizable.” 

“i would let you bite me so we can be together forever.”

“what if i were a shambler?”

“i would happily breathe in your spores. can’t be any worse than you smell right now.”

qFit: Mans is built like a brick shithouse—he can totally balance Phil’s additional weight. The first attempt is a bit shaky, sure, but nowadays Phil swoops down or hops up onto Fit’s shoulder and all Fit really has to do is jut out his elbow to give his friend a little more space for his talons to work with. Bam, he’s perched. Works out about 9.9 times out of 10, though Phil delights in trying to catch him off guard.

qEtoiles: He doesn’t have Fit’s bulk on his side, so he’s not as sturdy, but he is strong. The landing is usually a little rough since Etoiles has to work a bit harder to counterbalance the additional weight, but he always finds that center of gravity in no time flat. Phil usually perches with one talon on each of Etoiles’ shoulders since he’s not as w i d e, just so Phil can have a little extra grip. At some point, Etoiles tries fighting a mob while Phil is perched on him, and that goes exactly as well as you would expect.

qForever: Honestly, with all of the hard labor Forever does for his big builds, Phil was expecting him to do better, but the first (several) attempts end up with Forever stumbling over and knocking Phil off of him from his wild arm-pinwheeling. They eventually figure out it’s more doable if Forever himself has something to lean on (a wall, a chair, the butt of his pickaxe) and Phil puts one talon evenly spaced on each shoulder. Phil learns some new swears in Portuguese in the process.

qMissa: Flattened. Full-on face in the floor, mouth full of grass, wind knocked out of his lungs at Mach 5 the first time Phil tries. Phil apologizes profusely, but Missa—once he can breathe again—just rolls over onto his back and asks Phil if they can give it another try. It takes a long, LONG time, but they figure out that if Phil plants his talons on Missa’s shoulder pads and leans forward while Missa leans back, they have a small little window of time where they achieve balance. The best part? Phil gets a perfect view of Missa’s goofy little grin every single time.

projecting my adhd forgetfulness onto leo valdez in the way he has to set alarms for literally everything.

probably made some sort of silly little machine that starts making phone alarm noises while projecting a reminder on a screen or something just so he doesnt forget to ask for something from another camper, or so that he remembers to change before going out on a hangout with jason n piper, or so that he remembers to do some sort of assignment or remembers to charge something.

jason's hanging out with him and suddenly something starts playing a little jingle or a full on alarm and jason is jumpscared, asking what the fuck it is when leo pulls out this little alarm clock with a screen and goes "ah styx i need to go get something from the store we just passed"
