hey!! i’m interested in learning how to sew to make plushies bc there’s a character from a show i just need a plushie of and you seemed like a great person to ask. so, do you have any advice for a person who is basically completely new to sewing something like a plushie. i have embroidery and cross stitch experience but that really isn’t transferable stitching lol even if it’s just basic patterns to follow or small tips anything would be appreciated!!!

Hi nonny! I will probably have a longer answer in the morning, but for now I cannot recommend sewdesune's free Stater Pack Plush Patterns highly enough. It's a pack of plush patterns in four different difficulty levels, all of which are extremely well explained, that start you off with an explainer of the very basics of sewing and teach you new plushie skills with each new level of pattern. All of her patterns are very very well designed, but she really went above and beyond for this one, and it is designed for people who have never sewn before. If you're okay with letting me know which character you want to plushify, I might have some pattern recs for you? Some characters are easier to plushify than others, but I might know of a pattern you could use as a base to start your modifications from

Oooh okay so yes but like not majorly. I don’t think they’re super duper alike. Leo is a lot more sarcastic and witty with his humor and like… idk how to describe Tommy’s humor. It’s a lot of completely bizarre bits. I have both of their styles of humor because I love them bith

the big similarities I see are like, you know that classic tommyinnit video intro ‘most people find me annoying at first’ I feel like that REALLY applies to Leo lmao. He’s annoying as shit. I guess that’s just how I like them.

the other similarity is how Tommy is just so damn brother coded. Everyone he speaks to loves him. Everyone is endeared by him. He will just meet someone and use the charisma blast on them in his own Tommy way and they’ll love him

this reminds me a lot of Leo. His charisma, ofc he’s brother coded because he had brothers but like the way he can get people to love him in spite of being kind of annoying. Like how he is with señor hueso. He is clearly annoyed by Leo but he cares. Yk??

Burn out is something that copia is really familiar with. He didn't get to where he is in the clergy today just by doing the bare minimum. Although I think that now that he looks back on it he kind of regrets it bc he probably shouldn't have skipped that meal or spent so long locked away studying (maybe he'd have more friends) or maybe he should have taken more breaks and paced himself.

He knows what it feels like to think that you HAVE to be good at something, even if it's paperwork just so you get acknowledged and maybe years ago he wouldn't have really thought about how burn out affected others but now he takes notice whenever he sees a sibling that looks a little too tired or spends a little too long in the library hunched over books.

I think he'd make the effort to try and distract you in hopes that you'll realize how sleepy you are or that you deserve breaks. He wishes someone would have done that for him.

Afterwards he'd fix you a big plate of pasta and then make sure you get to bed alright and he'd keep an eye on you from then on out. Are you eating enough? Sleeping? Taking breaks? Getting fresh air? Or at least nag you until you realize life isn't all about work and you deserve some relaxation

I think it would be funny if Shang Qinghua and Shen Qingqiu decided to get married, not for tax purposes per se, but for marriage/sex curse immunity. secretly, of course ;)

why would they do this, you may ask? why wouldn't they? excluding aphrodisiacs, there are plenty of curses and/or magical objects just laying around the SVSSS world just waiting for an unsuspecting Peak Lord to trip over them. And since Shen Qingqiu has decided to travel to see all the worldbuilding and cool flora/fauna he missed out on in the original PIDW, he's dragging Shang Qinghua along with him for the ride. Of course, they would need protection against the more serious afflictions they could catch or be caught by, and getting married was the perfectly logical solution!

and if they ended up getting sex-pollened and needed to rail each other anyway? if they both said no-homo after, then it didn't count! and if they had started to sleep in the same bed and woke up in each other's arms, that's because it's cheaper than getting separate rooms! Who cared that Shang Qinghua started to sleep over at Shen Qingqiu's peak when they were both back at the sect? And brought him gifts and food? And that he reciprocated? They were obviously just hanging out as friends.
