I hope they don't retcon Robert and Crystalline having a bad relationship how they did with the divorce, if that one line refers to her and not a previous wife, of course. I want him to be in a loveless doomed marriage where he is no saint but he's still being really taken advantage of, but refuses to leave just to upkeep appearances and pretend this isn't another failed relationship of his. I think he should have had a couple of divorces already, he's unlovable and doesn't know how to keep a relationship.

I do like the idea that Robert can't have any good or lasting relationships of any kind, even tho he needs that, he can't stop burning bridges with everyone in his life, and is overall unlikable and too hard to deal with for everyone. He disowned his parents, he's in a bad marriage, he keeps pushing his brother away and treating him badly, maybe he'll even sour the relationship with his son down the line, who knows, Thomas does say he's a lot like his parents. He lashes out a lot and no one can stand him, not really, except for Thomas who would do anything for him and probably enables him somewhat, but he too may have a breaking point.

I love Robert, he should end up really lonely and sad, I think he already kinda is, and very frustrated, but he just tries to look like he's got his shit together, having his son really helped him, but overall he pretends he's got a better grip on his own life than he does just to prove others (especially his parents) and his own insecurities wrong, he flaunts his money and power and tries to cope through that self perceived success, which is all that he's accomplished and the only thing that makes him worth anything as a person and even then, despite how much effort he puts in he's still not good or competent enough, he owes a whole lot of what he has to other's work, especially Thomas, without him he would have run things to the ground a lot sooner and have nothing and no one left.

I'm rotating Robert in my mind.

So, I have some mixed feelings about the Rise ending. I don't know, it's complicated. At the centre of the game seems to lie a father-son relationship and the lengths of approval. You are "punished", in a sense, if you decide to hand your heart to your father. But it does still technically "reward" you with approval in the good ending with his acknowledgement. I thought it would've been really interesting if Geppetto says the exact same thing as the Free from the puppet string ending ("I knew it, you're just a useless puppet") in the Rise ending, but in a different tone.

[I know this is a complicated subject, and I'm sure that many people may have some personal perspectives on this, but I hope people get what I'm trying to get at]

But after some time, I think that the apology is not really for the audience, it's for P. The apology is a worthy inclusion, not because Geppetto needs to be redeemed, but because without it, the only "wrong" option is to seek his approval. Maybe his acceptance isn't the "right" thing to want, or what we "should" want [I don't mean in a moral way] - but Pino isn't wrong for wanting it.

Or maybe he is, I don't know. But I think, despite everything - it's still what Pino wanted. and I think it does provide him with a bit more closure and peace than something else. (And it can do this while also not portraying it as the "healthiest" thing to want.)

And I think that's what they're showing us with the extra shot of him looking over the balcony. There's no other purpose of this scene [I mean other than establishing the next scene for the audience], and In his reality, it would've been completely silent. He's just looking at the view. Not even listening to music. And then he finally goes to sleep.

why does every single surface npc in skyward sword use male pronouns

like yes the goron have bested gender and dont care about that so they default to male pronouns for ease. they're born from rocks. bam. they're all brothers. and the gorons we meet in skyward sword care more about investigation or whatnot so they're like yeah yeah just use he/him. wanna hear about the legends of old?

Is it just me, or are Adrien’s new hairstyles kind of switched? Like Adrien’s hair as himself is more relaxed in the new trailer-somewhat like old Chat’s (at least in the ‘I don’t have the feeling like it needs to look a certain way’ type of thing), and new Cat Noir’s hair is more structured-kind of like old Adrien’s.

Is this hinting at something like now that Adrien has more freedom; the lines between “perfect golden boy who always gets straight A’s” and “the ultra-jokey flirtatious superhero who is able to show his emotions” are getting more blurred? Like he’s able to be both at the same time now more often-and can now be all of himself without having to separate parts of his personality for different people?

i think a major thing that is overlooked in the x files is that when they do their little cutscene of them driving from washington dc to the bumfuck middle of nowhere at the start of each episode, their roadtrips must be SO long. so what are they doing in that time? are they fighting over which radio station to listen to? filling the silence with conversation? is that how they become inseparable, over mind-numbing hours on the road where stories slip off of the tongue with ease?
