so last night at 5 AM I searched for every instance in which kojima has tweeted “otacon” (As You Do) to see if he’s ever said anything interesting about his character, and found… this. no words can describe how I felt before running it through google translate and all I knew was “sherlock,” “BL,” and that otacon would be mentioned in it somewhere. the result… did not disappoint.

Another fan comic for Death Mark, because I really fell in love with this game series and it's characters!! This time it's an idea of my own, playing in the setting of the second game. This idea just came to me out of the blue and the story developed spontaneously while I kept drawing - so please excuse any discrepancies should there be any. I'm not good at story writing but I tried my best to hopefully create an enjoyable short story.

There will be a lot more pages coming to this story - too long for one post - that's why I've split it into several parts. The story focuses mainly on Yashiki and Mashita, but a lot of the other Mark bearers will make an appearance, too.

Sadly, I can't guarantee that I will finish this story because I haven't figured out yet how to "write" the ending. I really don't want to leave this unfinished but I'm not good at writing complete stories so we'll see if inspiration strikes or not. At least there's a lot more to come from this point on.

IRONICALLY the original American Godzilla design (94) was a lot more Godzilla and crocodile-ish and was really great because of that, but then production wanted to make budget cuts and overhauled the entire concept and just made a Jurassic Park ripoff (also ironically the guy who did Jurassic Park made the Zilla 94 design). I guess ugly isn't the right word for it because what we got is a pretty cool design overall, but it just feels derivative and not in an inspired by Godzilla way

I think American Godzilla's worst sin was probably taking the inherently incredible idea of an asexual nonbinary Godzilla and then making them so floptastically ugly that no one wanted anything to do with them ever again
