Hello!! I saw your recent post and I thought it was really interesting :3 would you mind going a little more into depth about your opinions?
Hello anon! If you're referring to the sexualization post, then sure! Loooooooong answer incoming! Also, I'm going to be using 'You' a lot, just know I'm not referring to you anon but to the imaginary morality police I'm arguing with in my head. I know I sound like a broken record at this point, but I'm writing an essay about this and I will release it, swearsies! But lemme add some tidbits from it here.
Lemme start by saying that I understand that there's a problem with how female characters are portrayed in anime and manga but in my honest opinion right now sexualization isn't really a major issue when it comes to female characters especially the ones in other popular anime/manga series like My Hero Academia(kinda), Mob Psycho 100, Jujutsu Kaisen(🙄), Attack on Titan, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, One Punch Man, Tokyo Ghoul, Chainsaw Man, hell even One Piece!
People just throw around the word without knowing what sexualization actually is. So here's a definition:
Tumblr media
Sexualization in media is when a character is portrayed as a sexual object and nothing more. The goal of their existence is to titillate the (male) audience. So because of that they hold no relevance, no character growth, no interesting personalities and are essentially stripped of their humanity. They're literally just objects for consumption.
A perfect example is Tamaki Kotatsu from Fire Force, who conveniently has the Lucky Lewd curse where she loses her clothes regardless of the situation. We're introduced to her boobs and the MC Shinra ogling them-who unintentionally gropes her in the next scene-before we get introduced to her as a person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the first of many, many, MANY instances of her 'lucky lewd' curse. There's even not one, but two whole episodes dedicated to the various ways she'll lose her clothes when fighting enemies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even in her character defining arc where we get to see more of her backstory and where she is put in a life-threatening situation, her humanity is still denied and is she placed in this sexually suggestive position.
Tumblr media
And when she is saved by Shinra because of course she is, the lucky lewd activated, and he crashes into her boobs for no reason and spends a good amount of time ogling her torn outfit I wish I was joking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a serious situation btw. Like she was deadass just about to be killed. Even when she begs for mercy as one of the characters that she sees as an older brother figure attacks her so viciously it leaves her bloody and bruised that she begs for someone to save her, the camera focuses on her lips and portrays her pleads for help in an erotic light.
This was supposed to be her arc that would've not only developed her as a character but allowed us to gain more insight into her compelling backstory but no, instead she got to be a sexual object to be ogled by Shinra and the audience, even during her dire moments when she was brutalized she couldn't even have the chance to be portrayed with basic humanity as a human being. Her arc ended up being more about Shinra that it was about her. I mean, she can't even catch a break in the official art 😭.
Tumblr media
This is what actual sexualization of a character looks like, now lets compare this to the 'sexualized' characters in KnY.
Mitsuri
The morality police like to point out her boobs bouncing, running scene and her bath scene as proof of her sexualization, but I disagree. Firstly, Mitsuri wasn't the only one that got a bath scene, Genya and Tanjiro got one too where we saw Tanjiro's bare ass on screen!
Tumblr media
Second the running scene was gratuitous yes, but she's never groped, she's never ogled, in fact Tanjiro was more worried about her breasts spilling out than how she was dressed, and the moment was done over in like seconds, the show moves on to establish a character defining trait; her love of food. Already we see that she's humanized, we see her likes and her complaints about being ignored. There are no comments on her body and no other lingering shots of her boobs and she most definitely isn't put in sus positions like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for her uniform, I dunno maybe it's because I personally like wearing skimpy clothes because of sensory issues, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Her miniskirt makes sense because her fighting style relies heavily on acrobatics and flexibility, try doing acrobatics in an Amish-length skirt and let me know when you eventually eat shit and end up with a broken neck. Acrobatics are mostly done in either leotards or skintight costumes, and I don't think those were popular in Taisho Japan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like yea even though male gymnasts typically wear trousers so y'know their cock and balls don't slip out, a lot of them just wear short shorts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then her boob window, honestly come off it. Yea, when I first saw her I didn't like it, but that was because I was scared that she was going to be another fanservice character, but after reading the manga and Gaiden, it doesn't bother me anymore. I've seen some comments such as 'oh her breasts might spill out' and all, but they never do though. Do people forget that she's a fictional, 2D character???!!! Her boobs won't spill out unless the animators want it to.
We also got an explanation for the design; it was the work of the pervy designer Kakushi who's known rightfully as Scum Glasses, and Mitsuri though embarrassed just couldn't bring herself to burn or discard it, which tells us about her character and how she cherishes the hard work of others, no matter how pervy their intentions are.
Tumblr media
None of our main characters shame her for it, even ogle her or make sexual comments about her body. Shinobu shames Scum Glasses and offers her matches to burn it, Sanemi's reaction to her embarrassment shows that he doesn't see it as a big deal and when it interfered with the wellbeing of the female slayers, his anger was directed at Scum Glasses, not the slayers.
Even Giyuu's comment in the Corps Records reads more like he's concerned for her safety, and the fact that she doesn't have scars despite her uniform is honestly impressive and a testament to her power as a Hashira.
She's one of the kindest (and frankly realest)characters in KnY-second only to Tanjiro. She was practically the only one against Tanjiro and Nezuko getting executed or punished, she accepted Nezuko without hesitation despite being a demon and treated her like a little sister, she didn't shame Genya for eating demons, in fact I don't think she noticed because all she saw was her junior who needed help.
She's not a 'sexualized female character', she's Mitsuri Kanroji. Who was literally rejected by the world for being different but instead of being bitter chose to use her literal strength to help people, who brings comfort to others with her smile and personality despite seeing so much loss and devastation, who fights and protects not out of spite or revenge or heritage but out of love and duty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But yea sure, let's focus on her inconsequential uniform and her 10-second bath scene 🙄.
Nezuko and Daki
The main point of contention about Nezuko and Daki's 'sexualization' is because they're 'minors' which is so dumb and a whole other topic, but let's focus on their clothes. I really don't understand the complaints about Nezuko, because the majority of the time when she's not fighting she's dressed in her regular, 'modest' kimono.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What about when she's in demon mode? Oh! Her thighs are exposed when she's fighting? Yes, that tends to happen when you wear fucking skirts. Oh! Her clothes don't fit when she grows twice her size? You mean just like how the Hulk loses majority of his clothes when he grows too? Shocking that her clothes don't grow with her when she's not a fully formed demon. Shocking, I tell you!
Same with Mitsuri, there are no lingering shots of her boobs or her body because the main action is focused on her kicking ass. Go look at comments on anime sites in the episodes where she grows in size and fights, how many of them actually mention her body as opposed to her being kick-ass. The majority of Nezuko simps are simping over her as a moe character rather than a sex object. The most popular image of Nezuko is her shrunken form when she was running away from Kanao as it should because that scene was cute and funny as fuck.
For Daki, it's different, because yea she's wearing super revealing clothing, but here's my take; I don't see anything wrong with Daki's clothing. I'm sorry, but to me her outfit is iconic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her character design radiates power and intimidation to me rather than sexual object, and as with Nezuko and Mitsuri, despite her outfit, she never has any lingering shots on her boobs or placed in positions where she's groped and ogled, and she's never shamed by any of the characters because they're too busy trying not to get themselves killed. when I see her I'm not thinking 'heh, I can see her boobs', I'm fearing for my life and hoping she doesn't eat me! I mean look how terrifying she is in this shot.
Tumblr media
Also, just like Mitsuri and Nezuko her humanity is never denied, when she had her head cut off by Tengen there were no suggestive shots of her body, in fact more people were shocked at her sudden cries which showed how young she was.
When she and Gyutaro are defeated, it's not portrayed in a sexually suggestive or erotic way, we're not made to see some femme fatale seductress, we're made to see an angry, bitter but ultimately hurt little girl who is spiteful at the world that rejected and abandoned her and her brother.
We see how she's had to survive, how she was brutalized and burnt for just standing up to her brother which in hindsight makes her reaction to Nezuko setting her on fire all the more heartbreaking. We see a girl who rejects 'heaven' if it means that she will be separated from her brother - the only person who was ever there for her, took care of her, comforted her and made her feel safe in a world that made them feel so rejected and so alone, the person who told her this:
Tumblr media
If you're given all this character and backstory and all you choose to focus on is how she's dressed, then you need to check yourself and look inwards because you're the one with the problem.
The truth is, female characters are going to be sexualized regardless of what they wear, y'know just like women in real life, so how about we instead focus on making sure that they have relevance in the story, relatable backstories, character growth, rich personalities, and most of all humanity.
Sorry for the long answer anon but I hope this is okay for you, I would still post the full essay on Mitsuri eventually. Thanks for your question! ❤❤❤

Why do you think they don't show Marinette comforting other characters? It's always been a weird writing decision to me, and I sometimes wondered if I was legit just erasing all the times it happened out of my memory or smth. Like the first character trait established for her is she struggles to say no to people, she is a people-pleaser. And there isn't a better way to make ur mc lovable than showing how they effect the people around them. AND it would make her breakdowns genuinely heartbreaking, because she keeps giving and giving and it's a genuine flaw. Like, she rushed off to comfort Ivan in Origins, right? We should have had more of that. I'm reminded of that one Lady Wifi (i think?) scene where Ladybug is smiling at her adoring fans and the camera while Chat Noir is in the background actually comforting a child lmao. It just feels so weird, because I think Marinette IS actually supposed to be someone who does that, who provides that comfort to her loved ones all the time (even at the cost of her own mental health, boom, an actual thing she can work towards). But we just keep getting the reverse instead. She just kinda feels like a shit friend? Showing that emotional labor would also make her exhaustion work because like, what does the guardian even DO? Tell not show, but they ain't telling shit.
One of the things that drew me to Miraculous is the fact that the show tends to write the characters in non-standard gender roles, so I actually like the fact that Marinette tends to be more of a fixer than a comforter. She drives people to action and wants to solve problems and is very good at taking the weight of the world on her shoulders, but she kind of sucks at emotional vulnerability and comforting people. It's genuinely a good flaw for her character and a lovely thing to see in a show aimed at girls. No, we don't all need to be stereotypically maternal figures. Women can be just as bad as men stereotypically are when it comes to emotions!
The problem is that the show is obsessed with Marinette holding every important role in the story, meaning that we don't get a more emotionally aware character or characters to balance her out. Nor do we get to see her learn that this is a flaw of hers and either improve or just own that she's bad at this and learn to trust someone else with these types of issues. (This is one of the many things I think Adrien should have been allowed to do, btw. Ladybug is the brains, Chat Noir should be the heart.) We also don't get a true sense of Marinette's struggles because the show's formulaic nature rarely allows for those types of problems.
The Lila thing is a good example. Lila says that she's going to destroy Marinette's friendships, but she literally can't do that because that would mean changing the way the characters relate on a massive scale and formula shows can't do that. So instead of seeing Marinette struggle as Lila lies and manipulates everyone into hating Marinette, we get extremely annoying episodes where Lila lies and everyone believes her, but no one gets all that upset at Marinette's constant accusations. They just treat it as a minor quibble which is actually more aggravating than Lila changing the status quo in my opinion.
There's also the issue that you brought up: we don't see Marinette truly struggling to be the guardian, so her new role doesn't feel like a big deal. Not much changes for her save for the kwamis being around now. We don't even know what her relationship with Master Fu was really like because he was barely ever on screen so we really don't feel her loss.
All of this is just another problem to lay at the feat of our ever-present issue: Miraculous does not have the right conflicts and characters for a formula show. Formula shows thrive off of things being lighthearted and the heroes lacking major flaws. Miraculous chose to make things somewhat serious and give everyone flaws that are just begging to be address, but that can't be because this is the wrong format for that type of thing.
In a team show where character arcs were a thing or even just one where character dynamics were a thing and Marinette was allowed to share the screen in a more balanced manner, then everything about her would work fine. She's set up perfectly for that kind of show. She is not set up for a formula show where she's basically the only character that matters outside of the villains. If that's what they wanted to write, then Marinette needed to be limited to minor flaws that never last more than an episode or at least limited to flaws that are purely situational such as being stubborn or the classic sudo-flaw of being clumsy that the show already embraces.

But I had this idea can you do headcanons on William, Patri, and Rhya
Being told by their Wife that man maybe a another mage or magic knight keeps making her uncomfortable by un-appropriate comments or unnecessary touches it's just a idea I thought of while chatting with a ai bot no pressure to do this request thank you
Tumblr media
A/n: @weebwith-problems !! I'm not good at math but the pic got me🤭❤️
A/n: I know it took a while to write but here it is. I take my time but I don't like to fail with requests. I really embodied the character here because the topic is something that has happened to me and I can't explain the amount of hate that I feel in that moment.
I'm sorry fot the delay btw🥲
Tw: Non-consensual physical contact, harassment
____________________________
William :
The captain of the golden dawn is a calm man and likes to solve the things in the best way but when the situation involves hurting or making his wife uncomfortable, that can change a little. The situation occurred when the they were going out to dinner and a man who was sitting at the next table couldn't take his eyes off her.
She thought it would stop but it only made it worse when William went to the bathroom leaving you alone. The man got up and approached the table making stupid comments about her and she felt a mixture of hatred and disgust as his mouth spoke those words. When she got up he started to get too close and at that moment her hero William arrived and pulled the man back who quickly recognize the captain. "Captain Vangeance?" The man frowned, now a little uncomfortable "I didn't like the way you spoke to my wife and neither did she, she's my wife and deserves to be respected and you won't do it again." William returned a serious look to the man who was stuttering over his words after found out that she were married with the captain She never expected to see William being this serious, he was always relaxed and smiling. "I-I'm really sorry to you and your wife. I really don't know where my head was. My apologies."The man said, almost pleadingly and she gave a little smile, seeing the whole scene he was doing and the way he was shaking "Well, apologies don't change much about what happened but at least make sure you don't approach her again" William said, holding her hand and leaving the restaurant She felt so much better after her husband's interference that it was as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. William kissed her forehead and didn't let go of her hand until they got home again. He would look and take care of her to make sure she was okay and to try to forget what happened.
Patri :
Patri also comes from a calm nature, as he also inhabits William's body but he is a little more impulsive than him as he is a little scarier than our dear Will. Patri and his wife were walking down the street hand in hand when another man came close to her and put an arm around her shoulders, to which she immediately moved away and Patri intervened, pulling her behind him, ready to face that man. "What do you think you're doing with her? What's your problem?" Patri walked forward, looking into the eyes of the man who was faced with a very threatening look coming from the elf. The man didn't expect that reaction but who would feel sorry for him for doing something so stupid? "She didn't do anything to you, or did she? No, then disappear and don't touch her again." Patri took one last step towards the man who was leaning against a wall, feeling chills and unable to say anything Her wife saw Patri embody something that was new to her and that made her feel a little goosebumps, but seeing the other guy trembling with fear was satisfying. The man ran away and Patri looked at his wife after 'getting back to normal' and smiled at her and it took her a few seconds to smile back and thank him for defending her. Patri can be very overprotective when someone messes with the person he loves.
Rhya :
Rhya ends up being a little more different from the other two above. He may be lazy most of the time but don't underestimate this man. He can get pretty serious and dangerous when he wants to. One day he and his wife went out together for a walk through a garden and after some time when they were sitting on a bench with him resting his head on her shoulder, a man on another bench next to theirs started looking at her as if wanted to say something. At first, she didn't care much but when the man started saying things to her and making her feel uncomfortable, she woke Rhya and told him what was happening. The elf also looked at the man long enough for the other to start to get nervous, but it didn't end up there. "What do you want from my wife? Should I put you in your place?" He said, heading towards the other guy, with a calm and cold voice that hid a lot of atrocities he was about to do "But I was just..." The man tried to change the situation he created but that only made the situation worse for him "Get lost, disgusting human" Rhya looked at the man with a very unfriendly look The man got out of there as quickly as he could and he turned to go back to his wife who was sitting looking at him after that. Rhya ran a hand down her face and smiled before putting an arm around her waist before going back to his nap to make sure no one would mess with her.

SURPRISED?
summary: you're ghostface instead of ethan…
warnings: descriptions of blood & murder. overall really gory. language (cussing).
pairings: ethan landry x fem!reader, platonic sam carpenter x fem!reader, enemies quinn bailey x fem!reader
authors note: ethan and quinn aren't related in this one btw!! i really liked this idea so here's me trying my best to write it to the best of my ability 😭 also anika lives bc she's my pookie <3
——————————————————————————————
You sat in Quinn's room, making sure to stay clear from the windows she had purposely left open. Messages from Ethan and your friends in general went crazy as they wondered where you were and why you weren't answering. You rolled your eyes, understanding their worry but seeing as you were the cause behind their constant paranoia, you found it annoying to be bothered.
Quinn had left her room, saying she needed to not act suspicious. Her hookup would be making his grand reveal in a couple of minutes where you would be hiding in the closet, hoping to not be forced to witness something that would physically make you ill.
Noises outside the room got louder as you heard everyone laughing. It brought a smile to your face until you forced yourself to drop it.
Yes, you loved your friends. You had known Tara, Chad, Mindy and Sam your whole life—how could you not grow to love them? But, then again, you weren't planning their demise half the time you spent with them until last year when you grew vengeful.
Ethan was just an fortunate bonus you collected once moving to New York that happened to please Quinn, her being the mastermind and all. She liked the idea of getting someone like him to trust you just like how her brother Richie did with Sam.
Although, you did end up falling for Ethan and not just for the act. It was never in your head to make him love you just to hurt him in the end until Quinn meddled into your life and found out about you two. Then, the thought of your reveal and how he would react never left your mind. For some reason, it never crossed your thoughts that you would eventually have to face him seeing as you were too in love with him to kill him.
Your phone screen lit up, a picture of Ethan you took when he was studying popped up. You sighed, making sure to keep your voice low as you answered. "Hey, E."
"Y/N/N, where are you? I thought you said you'd be coming over tonight?" Ethan's worried voice caused your heart to swell. God, you hated lying to him.
"Yeah, I know but I'm still stuck in class," you lied very effortlessly. "My teacher offered to give us extra time to prepare for our next exam so I decided to stay. I might be around in an hour or two."
"Why didn't you tell me? I would've stayed with you," he immediately told you. "I hate knowing you're alone."
"E, I'm fine. I'm in a class full of thirty other people plus my professor," you reassured him, staring into the ceiling.
"Doesn't matter, Y/N/N. What if Ghostface attacks you on your way over? Or what if he's there at—"
"Hey, hey," you interrupted his rambling. "Look, I've done this once before, he'll have to try a lot harder then sneak attacking me while I'm in an Econ class."
"Y/N, I'm being serious," Ethan said sternly.
"So am I," you countered with a breathless chuckle. "How about this? I'll call you when I'm on my way over and we can facetime so you can make sure I'm okay."
The line was quiet until you heard a soft, "okay."
"I love you, E," you told him sadly, hoping he couldn't tell as you continued. "Please be safe. If anything happens, don't play the hero, okay? I can't lose you."
You were saying that mostly for yourself. You'd be the one behind the mask and if he did get in the way, you'd be forced to do something you didn't want to do. You had managed to steer Quinn clear from him until tonight and the last thing you wanted to do was cause him any ounce of pain.
"I should be telling you that," he told you with a smile, you could hear it through his voice. "I'll try not to, alright. Just…I love you. If anything does happen tonight and I can't say it again, just know that I really love you, Y/N."
"Don't say that, E," you interrupted. Your heart felt like it was stuck in your throat. "I won't let anything happen to you."
"You can't control it, Y/N/N," he let out weakly. "But I'm sure nothing's gonna happen, okay? So just worry about your exam and call me later. I love you."
"I love you too, E," you mumbled sadly.
"Get a room!" you heard Mindy yell in the background.
"Minds, stop. It's cute," Sam defended you two.
"Bye, E." You laughed; you couldn't help it.
You hung up the phone, staring down at his contact picture for a second longer. For some reason, that one conversation alone had you rethinking your choices. Would it be so bad to back out of the plan now? Quinn and her dad can take care of the rest—you only had to do with those two college nerds deaths and another guy who you'd seen bothering Ethan on campus, but that was it. The rest was Wayne, which was only the bodega and Sam's therapist.
The thought of even having to possibly kill Sam, especially Sam, because of how close you were with her made you sick to your stomach. So, why were you still apart of a plan that ensured her death along with your friends?
Your second thoughts were interrupted by the swift open of Quinn's door. The redhead came barging in, wearing her pink silk nightgown that barely reached her thighs.
"Nice conversation with your boyfriend," she told you with a certain distaste in her tone.
"Had to make sure I didn't sound suspicious," you defended yourself, getting up from the floor but staying in the corner of the room. You were lying.
Quinn rolled her eyes. "How long are you going to string him along? He's going to hate you when he finds out what you've done…that's if he survives that long."
"He stays out of our plan, remember?"
"Where's the fun in that?" she whined, walking over to mess with your black robe. "He takes you away from me all the time."
You shoved her away. "I told you, Quinn; you and your dad don't touch him. That was our only agreement."
"Yeah, it was when you realized you loved him," she had to point out. "He's turning you against us. Before you met him, you were excited to get revenge just like us."
"No, he's not but is it bad for me to not want to see the one person I actually care about harmed? It's not my fault that the only person you cared about was murdered."
"Just because you're apart of this plan doesn't mean I won't kill you," Quinn threatened as your words fell loosely from your mouth. You just couldn't stand when she badmouthed Ethan in front of you.
"Oh, shut up," you replied annoyedly. "Your dad won't even let you get behind the mask."
Quinn got quiet because it was true until she spoke, having to have the final word. "Fine, you got kills but do you really think Ethan would date a murderer? What're going to do when we complete act three? You think he's going to want to be with you after you helped kill his friends?"
"Fuck off," you snapped, letting her words get under your skin which you shouldn't have.
Quinn was going to continue bothering you but her phone went off. Her current boyfriend of the month was on his way up, forcing you to put the mask over your head and hide inside the closet.
Surprisingly, she didn't do much with him. You were sure she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to make you watch her but it seemed she was excited to get on with the plan. It only made up of occasional frisky touching, some things that were still counted as sexual activities that did make you look away but nothing too extravagant.
He ended up leaving to her connected bathroom to take a shower, saying how he felt dirty. Quinn then started to call her dad, basically filling him in and then she turned to you, gesturing for you to make your grand appearance as she saw Danny standing by his window just like planned.
Your boots helped make you seem taller as you stalked toward her very slowly. Her back was facing you as she rambled on the call about something. Your hand gripped your knife as the thought of actually killing her surfaced in your head. No, you couldn't do that.
Noises coming from across the window caught your attention as you looked up, seeing Danny pointing at you while yelling words you couldn't hear. You tilted your head at him, walking away inside the bathroom.
Killing her boyfriend wasn't too hard as you caught him off guard but the scene had become gory. You'd taken your pent up anger on the poor guy, his blood covering the entire room that you didn't notice until you backed away from where he laid lifelessly in the tub, naked.
You grimaced at yourself and what you had done.
Walking back into the room, you decided to start the act earlier than Quinn wanted, knowing it would piss her off. You rose your knife and planted it straight into the mattress, startling her as she let out an authentic gasp.
She began to scream, making sure to keep it leveled so it didn't sound too suspicious to everyone outside her room. She needed them to believe she was having sex so they wouldn't interrupt before she could get in her costume, which was just covering her entire body with fake blood and a few slashes from your knife to make it even more realistic.
You pulled her up, wrapping your arm around her neck just as you saw Danny take a picture. Then you tossed her to the floor where she crawled to the fake blood and splattered it all over herself and her room.
A couple more seconds, she continued to scream until she stopped and you heard the group outside running toward the door until the silence made them halt.
"Showtime," Quinn whispered proudly.
It made you sick to your stomach.
You held her up, taking a second to let her collect herself before you threw the door open and charged her body at them. Quinn fell on Anika, taking her and Mindy down as the girl screamed at Quinn's "dead" body.
Then, everyone scattered. You saw Chad pull Ethan and Tara toward the direction of the door and you decided to let them go on the account it would mean Ethan was safe. You headed straight toward Mindy, slashing her in the arm, knowing it would be enough to make her weak as blood always made her squeamish to the point she would pass out at times.
Your goal was to get Mindy. That was the plan Quinn had created for you to do but you couldn't. The rush of it all hit you once you saw her hunch over to hold her wound, trying not to vomit at the sight of the blood.
Anika was about to attack you for what you had done to her girlfriend but you got smacked in the face but a large object, sending you flying against the TV. When you peered through your mask, you saw Ethan's familiar light blue shirt and his curly hair, reaching down to help Mindy and Anika. Fuck, you thought. You should've known.
"Come on," he urged them both up.
You collected yourself quickly, slicing him in the arm and throwing him and Mindy against the table. The sound of his wince caused your heart to break but at least he wasn't in your way anymore.
Turning, you gripped Anika and pulled her up by the throat, which wasn't that hard at how light she was to carry. You slammed her against the wall and drove the knife in her gut. She let out a scream that actually made you sad. You could feel yourself losing grip on your knife. Thankfully, you were hit in the head again, causing you to fall to the floor and drop Anika.
Sam dropped the knife dispenser and went reaching for Anika as she carried her inside Quinn's bedroom. Ethan and Mindy were following closely behind. You got up and slammed against the door, causing Sam and Ethan to push against you even harder.
You stopped, remembering the second entrance to Quinn's room. You ran around and almost got through until you saw Ethan immediately run to slam the door in your face. Without thinking, you slipped through the crack and swung your knife around which sliced his skin again, making him even more annoyed, putting full force in his last push. You fell back just as you heard Sam and Mindy put a dresser against it so you couldn't enter.
Would it be so bad to let them go? You were about to give up until you looked behind at where Quinn was playing dead and she gave you a head gesture, as if telling you to get through that door and do something.
You started to kick it, slam your body against it, and slowly but surely the door started to crack. You could finally see in and you saw that they were trying to leave through the window on a ladder, thanks to Danny. You rolled your eyes, growing psychically exhausted but you continued to push against the door, the dresser beginning to shake.
Purposely, you didn't use your strength. You wanted them to survive. Poor Anika made you see that once you saw the gutted look on her face. You weren't close with her but she was a nice girl and she deserved to live. So did Sam and Mindy. Especially so did Ethan.
Sam went first, you caught sight of her hair just as she made it through. Then, Ethan of course had to make sure one of the girls went before him. Mindy gave Anika a kiss, thinking it'd be their last as she shakily made it on the ladder and got through. You continued to slam against the door as you watched Ethan pick Anika up from the bed, walking her toward the window where he helped her get on the ladder and kept it stable for her.
She took awhile to get through that you unfortunately made it inside just as Ethan was barely exiting the window. You stalked toward it slowly because you knew you weren't going to let him die.
"Ethan, you have to hurry!" Sam and Mindy screamed.
He turned around and the scared look on his face could've been enough to kill you. You slammed your knife on the window sill and grabbed the ladder.
They all were expecting some foul play on your end, encouraging him to be quicker but you didn't. Instead, you held the ladder down and stabilized it for him. Sam watched in shock. She was the only one who noticed your action that had been completely out of character.
Ethan made it inside Danny's apartment a second after and they all looked at you. You tilted your head at them, pulling your knife out. Then, you were gone. You didn't even wait for Quinn because you needed to get out of that costume and in Ethan's arms as quick as possible.

“Kaeya?”
“Hey,” the man in question pauses in his writing, glancing up at you with a smile. Kaeya resumes his paperwork for a brief moment, before ending the sentence he was writing with a flamboyant underline. “What’s up?” He kicks his feet onto the desk, crossing his legs at the ankles.
You sigh, slumping into the chair opposite him. “I feel like shit."
Kaeya raises a gloved hand to cover his growing smirk. "I can see that."
You frown, glaring at the cavalry captain. "I'm serious."
"Got it," Kaeya murmurs, expression switching to amused into something sincere. "What happened? Trouble in paradise?"
At the sight of your now melancholic-like expression, he sighs gently. Guess he hit the nail on the head. "What'd he do this time?"
"What?" your face morphs into confusion for a moment. It's such a foreign, alien idea that Diluc could have ever done something to upset you. "No, nothing. Diluc is perfect..."
You trail off.
Kaeya stares expectantly.
"Well that-- that's sort of the problem. Diluc is... too perfect."
The man in front of you raises his eyebrows sarcastically, looking at you like you just read the entirety of the Gliding Manual aloud and he was forced to listen. "I really don't want to hear you yammer on about how much you like Diluc. Spare me, please."
You groan, "That's not it." Your hands drag down your face, your slight irritation verging on exasperation. Kaeya gives good advice, but it’s hard to actually get that advice when he never stops talking.
"Then what is 'it'?"
"I'm not good enough for him. He's so amazing and I'm just... me."
Kaeya's eyes flicker with realisation before he moves into disbelief. "Seriously? Diluc is mediocre at best. You, on the other hand, are great. I'm very picky with those I associate with. You being one of my closest friends is not something to take lightly."
"Friends isn't even close to partners," you mutter, eyes downcast. "You're missing the point. I'm not good enough for him. That's fact, and I don't know how I should deal with it."
"How? How are you not good enough for him?" Kaeya asks, merely confused at this point. He couldn't really fathom how you could see yourself like that.
“He’s so out of my league— I mean, he’s the owner of this incredible winery, he makes up more than half of Mondstadt’s entire alcohol industry, owns a tavern, he can bartend, he’s the wealthiest guy in this region, he’s selfless, kind and sweet and— and not to mention — he’s a literal hero!” you furrowed your brows, voice cracking near the end of your little spiel. “I don’t— how do I even come close to living up to that?”
Kaeya looks mildly surprised, albeit slightly sad. “You don’t have to. You’re his lover. And—”
“But I shouldn’t be!” you shake your head, eyes watering in frustration. He didn't get it. “Diluc is perfect! And I couldn’t be farther from that…”
Kaeya sighs. You hear the floorboards creak as he moves to sit next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “Now, I have no idea what got these thoughts in your head, but they’re irrelevant. Diluc is really not that perfect—”
“Yes, he is. It’s completely unfair to Diluc for me to stick with him,” you mumble, throat dry. “I’m not good enough.”
“Hey, now,” Kaeya chastises. “I, for one, think you’re fantastic. Diluc, as… mediocre of a brother he is, makes some good choices. And one of them was choosing you to be his partner,” he pauses, letting the words sink in before beginning to speak again.
“Not to mention, Diluc is his own person with his own free-will. You don’t get to decide whether he wants you or not, he does. And he’d be an idiot not to want you. Given he’s still in a relationship with you, I guarantee a lack of want isn’t the case.”
That gets you thinking. Whilst on some degree, Kaeya is making sense — everyone makes mistakes. Diluc, as perfect as he is, isn’t exempt from that. A slip in judgement, or simply not thinking things through could've caused this situation. A situation that, in Diluc’s mind, could be one that he thinks he’s trapped in. Breaking up with you could hurt his relationship with Kaeya even more, given the two of you are friends. This then makes him trapped, in a sense. Right?
You settle into a somber silence, Kaeya's hand rubbing gentle circles on your back.
"I really..." don't think that's true. Not like you were gonna say that, though. Kaeya was already dealing with a lot already -- you interrupting his time to do paperwork just so you could rant was enough.
"You really...?"
"I... ah, thank you. I really wanna thank you. You're a good friend, Kaeya."
The cavalry captain smiles, "Of course I am. I'm the best."
You chuckle, looking away. A beat passes. "I should head back, shouldn't I?"
Kaeya hums, nodding his head gently. "Probably," He moves from his spot next to you and settles back into his desk chair, sighing. Blue hair sways as he hangs his head back, eyes sliding shut.
Taking that as your cue to leave, you stand, plastering on a bright smile. "Thanks again, Kaeya.”
Kaeya’s eyes meet yours for a beat, narrowing in suspicion at your sudden change in mood. "…Anytime."
The atmosphere feels odd when you walk into the Dawn Winery.
“Diluc?” you call.
“Was that true?”
His voice responds. You look towards him. He’s got his back towards you, leaning casually on a chair with his arms crossed. His shoulders are still.
Diluc seems solemn. He still won’t face you.
“Was wha—”
“Do you really believe that? That you’re such a burden to me?” He turns his head to face you slightly.
Your body stills. You almost wait for him to clarify if he overheard your conversation with Kaeya, but it's a clear guarantee that he has. Diluc’s eyes are looking everywhere but at yours.
“Oh. That. Uh,” your lip trembles slightly, “Yeah, I do think that. B—But it’s not your fault! And, you know, it’s alright if you want to break up with—”
“How could you say that?” Diluc whispers. His eyes finally meet yours. It’s a startling sight; eyes red-rimmed and brows furrowed with such emotion. Diluc never loses his cool. Not even in front of you. “You mean everything to me. You could never be a problem, nor a burden to me. I am… not all that perfect. Not as much as you make me out to be. Don’t compare yourself to the likes of me,” he pauses, contemplative. His brows knit together further, fingers clenching and unclenching at his sides. He chuckles dryly, “You’ll only disappoint yourself.”
"You are perfect, though. It's--"
"No, I'm not. That’s delusional.”
You flinch back.
“No, that’s not what I—” he rubs a hand on his temple, “That’s exactly what I mean. Sometimes I say the wrong thing, or make the wrong choice. My money and wealth doesn’t make me better. I’m still… me. Nobody’s perfect. Especially not me.”
“But… that—”
“There’s no use trying to disagree. I am not perfect. Neither are you. Nor anyone else.”
You purse your lips, avoiding his eyes. You can hear his heavy boots approaching you, his clothing rustling and buckles clinking.
“…You don’t get it, Diluc.”
He hums, “Enlighten me, then. What don’t I get?”
“I’m not good enough for you. You deserve someone better,” you sigh, “You might not be perfect, but in my mind, and everyone else’s, you are damn near close. I’m not worth it. I’m probably one of the worst picks for you and you don’t even know it--”
“--I do know that you’re one of the best picks for me. And I think that I, as an independent adult man, would know what’s good for me. I know what I want,” Diluc pauses, grabbing your hands with glove-clad fingers, “and I want you. No one else. Just you.”
You pursed your lips. "Surely--"
"No. There are no exceptions, no 'but's, no nothing. I want you," he clenches his jaw, "only you."
"...You aren't staying with me just to keep on good terms with Kaeya, right?"
"What? No," Diluc sighs again, exasperated. He goes silent for a bit -- as if considering what to say that will convince you. "A baby is able to cry when they want food, or reach out when they want affection. If a baby can figure out what they want, why can't I?"
"Diluc, that isn't the same at all--"
"[Y/N]. It doesn't matter. Stop arguing with me. You will not win."
"Yeah, but a baby--"
"[Y/N]."
"--doesn't have complex desires like--"
"[Y/N]."
"Okay, fine."

@alliioop Ummmm???? UMMMM??
(text: Also imagine this as the beginning of Kate x 141 where gaz gets in on it cause he takes Kate on a date where they bust a human trafficking ring and she comes back to ghost and price like we have to marry him and then Johnny finds out and pouts and whines about being left out until Kate just makes out with him to shut him)
Loving thissss. Price is secretly like "yesss fist pump" about Gaz. And Ghost is also a little pouty. What about his sergeant, eh? Just going to leave Johnny out? All alone? He's going to be insufferable. (So he's going to be normal?). Kate WILL NOT be peer pressured into another boyfriend/husband she WILL NOT, three is QUITE enough thank you (I think quite is one of those words that has different connotations on either side of the pond. she means NOPE THAT'S PLENTY and the guys hear "three is actually not enough")
And then she and Johnny blow something up (he was whining immediately before this about feeling left out btw) and she's like shit. They were right. Grabs him by his tac vest and lays one on him that he eagerly reciprocates. Winds up with Price, Ghost, and Gaz standing over them until they realize they're not alone and all three of them being smug as hell because they TOLD her. Which, well. They don't have to be rude about it, you know she doesn't have to have sex with ANY of you
(More pouting from Soap because he "didnae do anything, bonnie!! Why'm I getting punished???")
Soap would be such a dork about it. Will tell complete strangers "that's my girl" vendors at farmers markets BEWARE he will not shut up about her. He's a hype man at heart. Soap is also the only one who will cyberbully Captain America with her
Kate and Gaz would do fashion/ootd tiktoks. The other guys are like it's dinner not a vogue photo shoot (to YOU. not to me and Gaz we're different) Gaz wouldn't be as into it on his own but Kate is an enabler so they judge big fashion events together. The Met Gala is like the superbowl for them. They watch the Oscars and Grammys but ONLY the red carpet. I'm so serious about this. Gaz treats it the same as the World Cup. Snack and drink prep? Exactly the same. Yelling at the TV? you know it. He and Kate snuggled up on the couch heckling the E! reporters. Soap will ask them sarcastic fashion questions that they don't clock as sarcastic. He loves setting them off. (Shortest question with the longest answer? "What's wrong with Chanel?" Yes, he keeps track)
I love the "person gets aggressively hit on while out and their significant other terrifies the creep away" trope which is primo with every member of the 141 and Kate but Kate is also terrifying and very defensive of her boys and again Soap LOVES this shit. Eats it up. Someone hits on Soap at a bar or club and he's trying to give a polite brush off and it's not working. Kate comes up and glowers at the other person, slipping her arm around his waist. Soap, who is at minimum a head taller than her, just curls into her, tucking his face into her neck all hiiii bonnie, my hero :))) clings to her like a limpet. A barnacle.
Kate Big Spoon agenda. Soap loves being little spoon. Can and has picked up his jetpack and simply carried around a sleeping Kate clinging to his back. has also done this, flopped down on the couch, facedown, with Kate still on his back. Kate wakes up SO disoriented. Ghost and Gaz have picked her up and moved her to her/their bed at various times. They're all terrified about what a heavy sleeper she is until they're actually out on a mission of some kind and Soap does some ridiculous little tiny kitten sneeze and she bolts up ready to run
gaz and kate skincare dates

Hiiii. Love your writing, it's seriously good!!! 😃 I am OBSESSED with that drugged!Sam ficlet you wrote! 😍
I was wondering if I can request a dark wincest scribble, maybe based off that scene where Dean hits Sam because of the whole demon blood thing...?? Dean can barely contain his rage and I bet he's far more jealous of Ruby than he'd like to admit.... And now, Sam has been with that b*tch again and that's just the last straw for Dean: He's going to teach Sam a serious lesson.... And he's gonna let him know exactly who he belongs to! 😏
Bonus points for knife- or gun-play. 😉
(Btw, I couldn't find anything on your blog about your stance on non-con - if you're cool with it, feel free to give it a go in some shape or form, whatever you're comfortable with. If you don't want to go there, that's totally fine too and you can just ignore that bit - and, my apologies.)
Tumblr media
Non-con is a yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm gonna write more and definitely make a part 2 where its spicy
Hope you like it so far
Last Straw
The air in the motel room was thick with tension, heavy enough to make it difficult to breathe. Shadows clung to the corners, accentuating the dim light that filtered through the outdated curtains, casting flickering patterns on the walls. Dean paced back and forth, his boots scuffing against the worn carpet that had seen far too many late-night arguments and too few peaceful moments. He’d been like this for hours now—ever since he had returned from the hunt, blood still warm on his hands, and caught the unmistakable scent of her lingering on Sam.
Ruby.
Just the thought of her name sent a surge of anger coursing through him, igniting the resentment that simmered beneath the surface. Dean clenched his fists at his sides, his nails digging into his palms hard enough that he could feel the sharp sting of pain, but it was nothing compared to the turmoil inside him. It wasn’t merely the fact that Sam had been in contact with demon blood, though that was certainly bad enough. It wasn’t just the lying or the sneaking around that had Dean’s insides churning with existential dread. No, what really consumed him, what burned hotter than the most vicious flames of Hellfire, was the abhorrent thought of Sam being with her. Trusting her. Needing her.
“Dean—” Sam started, his voice tentative, but it broke when Dean turned on him, eyes blazing with a fury that could incinerate.
“Don’t. Don’t you even try,” Dean spat, his words laced with venom. “You’ve been with her again, haven’t you? Drinking her poison. Letting her… touch you.”
The raw intensity of Dean’s words struck Sam like a physical blow, causing him to flinch visibly at the venom laced in his brother’s tone. But despite the tempest brewing between them, he held his ground, unwavering. “You don’t understand. She’s helping me, Dean. She’s—”
“She’s using you!” Dean roared, the walls trembling under the force of his voice. “You think she gives a damn about you, Sammy? About us? She’s got you wrapped around her finger, and you’re too blind to see it.”
The distance between them shrank as Dean stepped closer, their bodies mere inches apart now. The heat emanating from Dean, fueled by unchecked rage, washed over Sam like a wave. His chest tightened as he swallowed hard, the weight of his brother’s anger almost suffocating, challenging him to retreat, but Sam stayed firm, refusing to back down.
“And what about you, huh?” Sam shot back, his voice rising in defiance to meet Dean’s fury. “You don’t get to play the hero when you’re the one who’s been keeping secrets. You’re not exactly innocent, Dean.”
In a split second, Dean’s fist moved before his mind could catch up, a sharp crack echoing through the small room as his fist connected forcefully with Sam’s jaw. The moment hung suspended in the air between them, fraught with shock and disbelief, as Sam’s head snapped to the side, his breath catching painfully in his throat.
Dean’s chest heaved with a mixture of regret and pent-up rage, his hand lingering in the wake of what he had just done, still tingling from the impact. The anger that had been simmering beneath his skin now bubbled to the surface, demanding more, shaping itself into an almost physical presence that threatened to consume everything around them.
“You think you belong to her?” Dean growled, his voice lowered to a dangerous whisper, each word dripping with possessive fury. “You don’t. You’re mine, Sam. You’ve always been mine. And I’ll be damned if I let some demon take you away from me.”
In that instant, the world outside faded to nothingness, leaving only the two brothers standing against the shadows of their own making.
The air was electric.

Why are you all so serious when it comes to imaginary characters? This works for both teams btw. It's okay to love books, characters, and so on, but you act like we live in real Westeros and choose who will rule us. Or as if the Targaryens are your real relatives during a real war. For God's sake. The fact that people love the blacks does not give them any moral superiority. The fact that people love the greens doesn't make them immoral or anything.
In fact, you really don't read any of my posts, and are you really content with the fact that I'm team Blacks and loving Daemyra to spit your venom in anonymous messages in fact ?! It’s just crazy at this point. You look like a bunch of weirdos.
I never claimed to be morally better, or that people who liked the Greens were immoral. Liking the Greens doesn't make you immoral. They are good villains, and most people, including me, like good villains. I'm literally a fan of the real Alicent in the book. She's a great villain that I love to hate.
And for your information, I also never said that Team Blacks were morally superior people. My god, I even once had an argument with a pro team Blacks and pro Daemyra person who hated the Velaryon children and the fact that they were illegitimate ! I never decreed that those who liked the black team were 100% good people VS those who liked the greens as bad ! Where does this bullshit come from ?!
On the other hand, what I denounce are those who claim that the Greens are not villains / antagonists. When that's literally what they are. This is their narrative function. They are not morally gray characters, anti-heroes or worse yet, misunderstood virtuous characters as some like to claim. Once again, there is no problem with liking Team Greens, but there is a problem with believing that they are justified in the story for doing what they do and that they are anything other than villains / antagonists. If you read Fire and Blood and end up being Team Greens at face value, you either have questionable beliefs or you simply have significant problems with reading comprehension (and I hope this is generally the second case for the ASOIAF and Fire and Blood community). The Greens are literally a bunch of misogynists fighting for patriarchal traditions, are blood purists and mostly rapists like Aegon II and Aemond.
The Blacks team is not perfect. Certainly, there are noble people among them, but also and above all morally ambiguous characters. However, they are not the antagonists and villains of the story. They are the protagonists. Team Blacks fights for a woman's right to ascend the throne. About keeping your promises and oaths. And even if it is not for feminist purposes, Rhaenyra on the throne would have given a precedent for women to subsequently also have the right to power. In short, Rhaenyra on the throne would have set a precedent to probably improve the situation of women in Westeros in the lines of succession. To be Team Greens in the first degree is in fact to deny power to women and change in a society. That's what it implies narratively.
It's the same thing for those trying to say they are neutral, trying to make people believe that the two teams are on the same level, probably to avoid feeling guilty for loving the Greens beyond simple villains, refusing to see them as such. To speak of being neutral is to deny that the Blacks are fighting for a much nobler cause overall than the Greens. Once again, the Blacks are fighting for a woman's right to the throne and respecting her words and oaths. While the Greens are literally treated misogynists and usurpers who fight for patriarchal tradition... Just like the simple fact that the number of war crimes are not at all equivalent depending on the team.
It's not the same thing. These are simple facts.
The narrative purpose of GRRM's for the Rhaneyra character is simple. She was usurped because she was a woman. By misogyny. And people who are first degree team greens or neutral have this great tendency to deny it. Simply because otherwise, they couldn't justify defending the greens.
Reading Fire and Blood and ending up at first level being team greens or neutral, once again demonstrates a huge reading comprehension problem. GRRM didn't write this story thinking that the Greens were right or that both teams were on the same level, otherwise, the Greens wouldn't get karmic punishment.
I realize that everyone can see what they want in a fictional work, but there are limits to stupid interpretation. Fire and Blood is very clear that the Greens are the villains / antagonists with very bad motivations, going against the law itself. Because yes, the word of the king is the law. Supporting the Greens or being neutral at first glance, without seeing them as villains / antagonists, is at this stage being willfully blind, unless once again you have questionable values or quite simply very, very poor reading comprehension, which you should be worried about.
The excuse of "it's fiction, so we can think what we want, it doesn't matter" is bullshit. An excuse for not thinking about the fiction you consume. This is proof of intellectual laziness. Do you really think GRRM wouldn't want you to think about his work ?
It's a naive and simplistic way of thinking, designed to justify supporting a misogynistic team, wishing to maintain patriarchal traditions. Once again, either it comes from your own problematic morality that you do not accept, or it is simply not having reading comprehension and supporting the fact of not thinking about what you consume in order to avoid not be aware of the problematic things about what you love in order to simply not give yourself a bad conscience.
Again, there is nothing immoral about liking the Greens. Most people like a good villain / antagonist. I've always said it. On the other hand, yes, it is problematic, to pretend that the Greens are not villains / antagonists, then trying to make them pass for more complex characters than they are, even anti-heroes, or worse, downright misunderstood characters who would be morally superior to the Blacks team. That's always what I talk about. Nothing more. And if this truth bothers you, you should question yourself...
Reflecting on the fiction we consume is not stupid. That should be the basis. And I won't apologize for thinking about what I consume.
And it's still cheeky to come and tell me that I'm lecturing people when it's me that people come to harass with private messages to wrongly explain to me that I romanticize grooming, that I'm a Bitch who doesn't understand anything about the characters I'm talking about, that I should be ashamed, close my tumblr, that Daemon Targaryen is the real rapist from Fire and Blood and that Aegon II is just a normal prince of his time doing his best. Ironically, it's the Greens and Neutral team who always come to me to spew their superior morality to apparently understand that poor little Aegon II is a complex and tragic character while Daemon is the real monster of the story and that the real The goal of Fire and Blood is to choose your favorite war criminal. Lol. That couldn't be further from the truth, and it's complete bullshit. Who once again tries to impose moral superiority on others ? (And again, I'm also entitled to this for liking Kylo Ren / Ben Solo and the Darkling) I think you're clearly talking to the wrong person in terms of promulgating moral oaths.
Love what you love. Just be aware of what it is and think about it. That's all I'm saying.
Once again, I have nothing against those who like the Greens. I have a problem with those who try to make people believe that they are not the villains / antagonists that GRRM made them out to be in the story. To try to make them appear as complex characters, anti-heroes, misunderstood characters who would have reasons just to act as they do. Worse still, to come and tell me that their favorite characters are morally superior to those of the Blacks team or even on an equal footing. Things that are completely false. And if these simple truths bother you that much, don't read my tumblr ! It's simple to do, isn't it ?
At this point of stupidity, I'm going to end up losing my faith in humanity...

i saw that you also said you love to talk about other characters, not just sephiroth, so i thought i'd ask: what are your favorite things/traits/moments etc of all of the playable characters we've had across the compilation of 7? i feel like i can talk about all the characters forever :)
Ooh yeah! This will be fun. Okay!
Cloud: Cloud is the most relatable character to me, and probably my favorite if we're being honest. I relate strongly to his identity issues, and I love when he tries to act tough while concealing a softer nature. My personal favorite scene with him is the flashback where he realizes that he was stronger than Sephiroth this whole time, throwing Sephiroth down the pit. It's a powerful moment, probably Cloud's single greatest moment in the entire series.
Tifa: Tifa is literal perfection. She looks like a tough tomboy and yet she's also one of the kindest people ever. She's maternal, loyal, supportive, and devoted to a fault. The team would be lost without her. She's the glue that holds everyone together. An absolute queen. My favorite moment with her is Under the Highwind, regardless of her relationship with Cloud being romantic or platonic.
Barret: Barret's got a heart of gold. He's always part of my main party when playing the OG. A great comrade and an even GREATER father. His relationship with Marlene is beautiful and so warm and wholesome. Barret also spits some iconic quotes over the course of the game, as well as some hard truths. My favorite scene with him, naturally, is his encounter with Dyne. The line "my hands are too stained to carry her anymore" gets me to cry no matter how many times I play.
Aerith: Aerith is the biggest hero of FFVII next to Cloud. She's the one who ultimately saves the day, and all through her sacrifice. I'm not even gonna talk about my favorite moment with her because...you guys already know the scene. It's the single most famous scene in gaming history. Aerith has a playful, occasionally chaotic edge to her personality that she hides behind a sweet smile. I absolutely adore that about her. She's so full of love and so full of selflessness, but she also loves to tease people. Also an absolute queen.
Red XIII: Nanaki is a cat btw. I have always seen him as a cat. That's my controversial opinion on him lmao. Also him howling for Seto makes me ugly cry every single time without fail. I appreciate that Nanaki seems occasionally stoic and serious, but then has kind of a childlike or immature fear or insecurity about something. There's that duality to him that ties to the other characters in a sense. Anyway, I love him. He is a very good boy.
Cid: Cid took a while to grow on me initially. He's pretty rough around the edges. But my favorite moment with him happens in the last third where he sorta becomes the de facto leader of the group with Cloud gone. And I like that he seems to have reconciled with Shera as well. Honestly, he's just kind of a badass and really cool at what he does. Also he gets to go to space. Good for him tbh.
Cait Sith: This one is hard because there's always a debate as to how much of a character Cait Sith actually IS. It's Reed puppeting a machine/doll basically. How much of Cait Sith has a mind of his own? Regardless, Cait Sith isn't my fave. He's a spy, after all. But he makes up for it in the end, even if he kinda fades into the background. Reed is honestly more of an interesting character overall. I can't name any specific favorite moments with Cait Sith specifically. But also he's a small Scottish cat. And that's rad.
Vincent: This edgy boi. Also not one of my faves, but he's grown a lot more on me over time. He wins for always having the coolest voice in the entire group. And I really like the scene where he reunites with Lucrecia. Vincent is kind of gruff and understated at times compared to the rest of the cast. But he has a gentle side as well, and one hell of a cool backstory. Also I love monsters and gothic imagery in general.
Yuffie: Yuffie is...my least favorite main character. I don't hate her. I've just never been a fan of the "spunky loudmouth child" trope. With that said, I'm sure the Remake trilogy will breathe new life into her and add some extra appeal for me. I like what I've seen so far. And Yuffie's bluntness and playfulness can be cute from time to time.
Zack: Counting him because of Crisis Core. He's probably my third favorite character. His death is the saddest scene in the entire compilation imo. He's a character who is wholly encompassed by love, who deals with a LOT of pain, and who proves to be better and worthier than most people put together. Like Aerith, he sacrifices everything. And also like Aerith, his legacy will live on forever.

Are you still taking requests? Can we have some soft Leander x f!MC? Love your fic btw!
Thank you for the love 💜
I do take requests, my inbox is open ✨️
Leander Prewett x F!MC - fluff ♥️
This is following on from The Value of Kindness when Leander was sweet to MC after he found her crying.
A high breeze ruffled his hair as Leander entered the Owlery, letter in hand. He whistled for the gentle barn owl and it landed on his arm. "There you go, take this to mother for me," he said. He gave the bird an affectionate scratch under the chin before it took off into the breeze.
Garreth was waiting outside for him on the steps, picking at a scorch mark on the cuff of his jumper. Leander raised an eyebrow. "Not another ruined jumper, your mum is going to tear you a new one," he said.
Garreth just shrugged and smiled. "I'm going to try and mend this one, it should work this time," he said. "I still haven't told my mum about the one I accidently disintegrated."
They began the long descent back towards school. Leander was hungry and wanted to get to the hall for lunch before heading to the library. He wasn't sure his notes for the upcoming Herbology exam were up to scratch. He smiled to himself, looking forward to this particular study session.
Garreth gave him a knowing grin. "What's that look for, Lee? Wouldn't have anything to do with a certain school hero would it?"
"Might do," he said, coyly. It was hard not to feel good about the amount of time he had been spending with MC lately. Ever since the day he had leant her his handkerchief, she had been rather friendly. "I'm meeting her after lunch to study."
"Studying? Hmm, nothing else?" Garreth asked. He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. "Have you asked her out on a date yet?"
"No, it's not like that," he said, shaking his head. "We're just friends."
Not that he wouldn't want to, of course. MC was so pretty, and she had a lovely smile. She was smart too, studying with her was easy, fun. She wasn't afraid to delve into difficult questions and find the answers, or debate them out. He could see why she got on so well with Sallow, they had similar ways of thinking.
"You should ask her," Garreth said. "Just see if she wants to go to Hogsmeade, or maybe take a walk outside of the grounds. Get away from the castle for a bit, you never know what may happen. It might be nice to spend time with her alone, you know, just you two."
The very idea of being alone with MC made his neck feel hot. He wasn't so experienced about matters of the heart, or the physical side of it either. He could certainly look, and admire the way a girl moved, or smiled. It always brought a flush to his face when he watched MC duel. She was intoxicating when she got all worked up and fiery, shooting spells across the room in Crossed Wands. She was a formidable opponent.
When it came to the idea of touching her though, he had serious butterflies in his stomach. Just thinking about it right now was starting them off. The anxiety a whole afternoon alone with her might set off made him wonder if he could do it. How would he even ask her? Gods, she might laugh and say no even!
Maybe that would be a relief. At least he wouldn't have to worry about getting so flustered over her.
Nonsense. He was getting to like her company too much to stop now. Why else was he in a hurry to get to lunch? The thought of seeing her was setting his butterflies off pleasantly.
....*....
He could feel eyes on him, that strange sense of just knowing that someone was looking at you. He paused with his reading and looked up. MC had her elbows on the table, one hand supporting her chin, the other pressing her quill to her lips. Her eyes were on him, and her mouth twitched up into a smile when he met her gaze.
He gave a quick glance at the open texts around them before meeting her gaze once more. "What?"
Her smile widened. "You have a habit of biting your lip when you read," she said. "It's cute."
"Cute?" He stared at her, confused. He could feel the beginnings of a blush. She had been watching him.
She nodded. "Very cute." Her eyes flicked down to his lips and she smirked. She tucked some hair behind her ear and pulled her book a little closer, looking down at it, the smirk lingering on her lips.
He turned to gaze across the library, but not actually looking at anything, trying to process what she had said. What did that mean? He brushed fingers self-consciously across his mouth and tried to refocus on his book, but he was now too busy trying to not bite his lip. He glanced up at MC and she smiled without even looking his way, like she knew what he was doing.
She was teasing him.
Fighting the urge to grin, his stomach doing this weird little flip of delight, he returned to his book. He hesitated, and then gently pressed his teeth into his lower lip, his pulse subtly picking up speed.
"Oh, now you're just doing it on purpose," she said. She smacked her quill against his forearm.
He smothered a chuckle, glancing around to see if anyone was paying them any mind, but nobody was. He gave her a teasing look. "I'm sorry, I'm not distracting you now, am I? Perhaps you should be more focused on your book rather than staring at my mouth."
She twirled her quill in her fingers, eyebrows lifted. "What would you rather I paid attention to?"
His lips parted and he couldn't stop his flush, his neck burning just as hot as his face. "Wh...what?"
She giggled quietly, checking for eavesdropping herself. She leant even closer. "I can go back to my studying if you want, but it is rather boring and we've been here for a while now. Or..."
"Or?" He asked. He quite liked the sound of where this might be going, he tensed, waiting.
"We could find something else to do," she said. "You and me. What do you think?"
Oh, he was thinking a lot of things, most of them far too inappropriate to say in the middle of the library. Not that he would say them to her. She would probably slap his face and run for the door. But, gods, he couldn't help but think them.
"I think that sounds like a great idea," he said. He tapped his fingers nervously on the table top. "Did you have anything in mind?"
Her smile did amazing flippy things to his stomach.
....*....
She was holding his hand. It was incredibly distracting, it felt so bloody nice, the feel of her fingers wrapped around his. She was tugging him eagerly along the path, the soft dappled sunlight under the trees gradually disappearing until they were in the dark depths of the Forbidden Forest.
He kept asking where they were going, but she wouldn't say. When she had suggested sneaking off somewhere alone, this wasn't quite what he had imagined.
He glanced around into the shadowed depths of the trees. "You're not dragging me out here to tie me up and leave me here, are you?" There may, or may not, have been a twinge of nerves in that question.
She chuckled. "I wouldn't do that to you," she said. She threw a look over her shoulder, sinful and teasing. "Maybe not the leaving you here part anyway."
"What's got into you today?" He asked.
She suddenly stopped on the path and held up her hand to quiet him. He peered ahead, wondering what she had seen. His heart picked up the pace. There was a reason this forest was forbidden. She looked up at him and put her finger to her lips. He nodded.
She beckoned for him to follow, and she led him quietly behind some bushes, keeping low. She was very stealthy and lithe as she moved, he couldn't help but be impressed. It was more of a struggle for him, being so tall and gangly as he was.
They paused and she pulled him down beside her, still holding on to his hand. She pointed through the foliage and held her finger to her lips again. He looked at her, the eerie glow of the forest making her eyes gleam. He swallowed nervously and then peered through the leaves where she had pointed.
A soft gasp left his lips. Ahead, in a clearing, were three unicorns. His eyes widened as he took in the silky glow of their coats and their graceful necks. They were stunning. He had never seen one this close before, let alone three of them.
He felt her hand squeeze his gently, and he turned to her, another swift breath left him. Her face was closer, her eyes watching him and there was a soft smile on her lips. "Beautiful, aren't they?" She whispered.
"How did you know they would be here?" He whispered back.
"I've been checking in on them for a while," she said. "Poppy and I do it regularly to make sure no poachers harm them. I haven't told anyone that they are here, until now."
He met her gaze. "Why me?"
She studied him, her eyes glowing and warm. "Because I trust you, and I wanted to share them with you."
His heart felt like it stopped in his chest, and then it started thumping hard against his ribs, making him feel a little breathless. "Thank you," he said.
He inwardly cringed at how awkward that sounded. He looked back at the unicorns, touched that she had wanted to share this secret with him. He turned back to her, lips parted ready to say as much. "I...mmph!"
Her lips pressed against his, cutting him off. It was soft but firm, and over far too quickly if he was being honest. She pulled back a little, her eyes assessing for his reaction.
"Wow," he said. He took a shaky breath. "Unicorns and a kiss, all in one day. You're spoiling me!"
Her laugh was a smothered snuffle as she tried to keep quiet. She put a hesitant hand on his chest, her fingers toying with the edge of his robe. "Can I have another?" She asked, softly.
He looked down at her soft, sweet mouth. "You may have as many as you wish," he whispered.
As she kissed him again, he remembered what Garreth had said about getting her alone outside of the castle. He realised that he didn't feel anxious at all, and not even concerned that they were snogging in the creepy dark of the Forbidden Forest.
His heart was hammering for a whole other reason, a brilliant reason. He was with her, and it was all that mattered.

god i know i keep half-tongue-in-cheek saying that my dad is literally belos owlhouse but. i've apparently gotten a little desensitized to Just How Bad He Is (because i have ESCAPED, YAY) & so today has been a delightful adventure.
i wrote an AITA post from his POV about stuff that happened several years ago, bc i was curious about how bad he'd get dragged - i updated the timeline but the Only fact i changed was the reason for his Woes (i blamed COVID economic struggles, which actually makes him a Hero compared to the truth. the truth being so ugly i'm not gonna detail it here good god).
i kept it true to POV by only using things that he actually did say to me at the time about why he was doing the things that he was doing, & blocking out all the relevant info about why the wronged party (me) was so upset, & having him praise his daughter (me) and go "i love her so much :) she's so smart and independent and i would never hurt her :)", & having him half-assedly admit he might've sounded unreasonable/angry/malicious, in a way that was clearly supposed to earn Good Dad points for being so Willing To Admit Imperfections, despite a continued constant doubling-down refusal to answer questions about actual important shit or fix anything ever.
cannot emphasize enough that this was not a fictionalized/embellished/creative POV. the only points of fiction were 1) my dad did not write these things on reddit, he said them to me in real life word for word instead and 2) this happened many years ago, not like... yesterday.
anyway the thread blew up and the commenters were all so kind and genuinely worried for me (as in, the daughter) and offering so much help that i hopped on a diff account to be my past self so i could reassure people i'm okay & had a plan in motion for gettin' the hell outta dodge. because i felt REALLY BAD that they didn't know i..... did in fact get out. people were so nice it made me actually fucking cry jesus CHRIST. i had in fact perhaps forgotten that these things were all as bad and worrying as they were
now. this is all a very serious and harrowing-sounding prelude to the actual point of this post, which is. a bullet list of some of my FAVORITE FUCKING RESPONSES. revel in these with me i had so much fucking fun. i have taken DOZENS AND DOZENS of screenshots to peruse whenever i need a healthy dose of Perspective
here they r:
you are CARTOONISHLY EVIL?
HOLY ABUSE BATMAN
DO BETTER. RIGHT NOW.
did you even listen to yourself writing this. HOW
there's something seriously wrong with you. like on an intrinsic unfixable level
hey this happened to me too! my parent died and i had a party about it btw
your daughter is never going to speak to you again after this
(note from the future: yeah)
you're going to act confused and sad when she goes no-contact aren't you
(NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: HE SURE FUCKING IS)
i think you are creating your own problems and then getting mad at them. maybe instead you could not do that
is this ragebait. i can't imagine anyone this horrible actually existing
this isn't ragebait. i can tell this isn't ragebait because I Know This Kind Of Man So Intimately
you are the asshole on literally so many levels i'm going to write a 15 paragraph response line-by-line dissecting everything wrong with you
are you aware that you're lying or are you literally this incapable of 2 seconds of honest self-reflection
i need to donate to a gofundme for your daughter right now immediately
(note from the future: i am not going to scam people by pretending a long-done sitch is a current emergency on gofundme. have no fear.)
wow. okay i'm gonna go hug my mom and thank her for not being you
you are Actually Literally Empirically the Actual Literal Worst Parent who has Actually Literally Ever Existed
HOW FUCKING DARE YOU????
WHO DO YOU FUCKING THINK YOU ARE.
I AM A 57-YEAR-OLD MOM OF FOUR ADULT CHILDREN AND THE MERE THOUGHT OF DOING ANY OF THE THINGS YOU HAVE DONE HERE MAKES ME PHYSICALLY NAUSEOUS
these vibes are so skeevy. leave her the fuck alone????
along with ASTONISHINGLY accurate inferences about exactly what was happening with the daughter (me) in all the missing missing reasons & like..... exactly how the situation was So Much More Ugly And Horrifying than an innocently confused i'm-so-well-intentioned dad-POV post would have you believe.
so. anyway. that was literally the most validating experience i've ever had in my entire life. i know i've said he's a bad guy before but i also always forget just how far beyond the pale he is. like wow that was. that was not a normal average human experience to have growing up huh.
IN CONCLUSION.
if you guys are ever wondering why i am the way that i am about, like........ anything....... everything....... whatever......
just remember.
i was raised by belos owlhouse.

My thoughts on the Miraculous Seasons!
Yeah, I'll be talking about the Miraculous seasons, including it's specials and movie.
Maybe I'll do another post talking about my thoughts on the sixth season of the series. With the things we have.
Season 1
Tumblr media
It's decent. It has it's good episodes (Stormy Weather, The Evillustrator, Bubbler, etc), and bad episodes (Pharaoh, Origins [specially the second part], Kung Food, etc).
The animation it's pretty good, and the characters are good too.
Season 2
Tumblr media
The best season indeed!
Here we have the best episodes (The redemption arc of Chloe, Gorizilla, Sandboy and The Heroes' Day).
The characters have been really good, the plot was amazing at this point, etc.
It's funny because Thomas wasn't really involved in this season, Jeremy Zag was.
Season 3
Tumblr media
And here the quality started to decrease.
The plot was trying to be more dramatic and serious (like Amphibia did later), but it was like "this show is family friendly, now it's really dramatic!".
The episodes have been mediocre (Oblivio or Feast), bad (Desperada or Bakerix), or garbage (Animaestro, Chat Blanc, Ladybug and the finale).
And of course, the characters have been really bad, especially Marinette and Fu.
Season 4
Tumblr media
This season was amazing... I'm lying, in fact, it's really bad.
There was only three good episodes (Mega Leech, Guiltrip and Crocoduel), the rest were going to be bad, to cringey (Wishmaker), to... Qlin (one of the WORST episodes of the entire animation).
And the characters have been really annoying, like Adrien with his stupid "I feel alone" drama with Ladybug and the heroes. It's really stupid and useless.
And don't make me talk about Zoe Lee. I'm just saying that Aurore Beaureal is a character. She would have been more useful with the Bee Miraculous.
Btw, even the animation was horrible here (watch Simpleman, the most unbeta episode, and you'll understand my point).
Season 5
Tumblr media
...
What the fuck?!
-Me watching the season 5.
This is the WORST season of the series (and take my words, maybe season 6 is even worse). It's like the pretentious version of Sonichu, but without the creepy instances that wouldn't be family friendly.
This season was so bad, that only ONE episode was pretty decent (Perfection, and it's thanks to Kagami), the rest was really, REALLY terrible (Derision it's a fairly odd parents retcon but even worse, Revelation it's stupid, Collusion it's the worst political episode, Revolution it's the perfect example of Thomas being Chris Chan with Chloe, Representation it's a really bad pretentious fanfic, and the final episodes of the season have been an insult).
Even the animation was horrible here too. The colors have been disgustingly saturated, and didn't help the episodes.
And don't make me talk about its "dramatic" moments... I CAN'T EVEN REFER IT LIKE "DRAMATIC MOMENTS" BECAUSE IT'S AN INSULT.
Bonus: SPECIALS
Miraculous New York
Tumblr media
It's garbage, it's only a longer chapter of the series but barely during an hour.
Only one character was good (Sparrow), and it was eliminated just because of the "feminist subplot"...
I'm really missing Chloe's subplot for this special...
And Ladybug was really annoying, of course.
Miraculous Shangai
Tumblr media
The best special, but still is bad.
The only good thing about this thing is Fei and the worldbuilding of the special. But the rest was really bad.
And no Thomas, I'm not going to sympathize with Marinette, literally she stalked Adrien going to Shangai and following him with an app...
Miraculous Paris
Tumblr media
Here's where I'm going to be dead...
I think this special is really overated, and for me it's really bad.
At least the animation was pretty decent, but that's the only thing I can say...
But the AU concept was really poor, and it's like "we need to be like the Spiderverse".
And the characters have been poorly executed, especially Gabriel, Adrien and Marinette from the "reverse" AU (I can't define it as a reverse AU when only three characters change to be opposites).

AUGH IDK IF IM LATE TO THE ASK GAME BUT !!! mk and mei for the duo bingo!
HI HI HI you're not late at all don't worry!!
Tumblr media
GOD OKAY. They make me a little bit insane. I know they like NEVER talk about it in the show, but I fully believe they met as children btw. However, I do think it would be funny if they met not too long before the show starts and their friendship is just Like That already. Because jt would be funny. (Pls writers give us more backstory) Also, yes, it's a little weird, but I'm cool w both romantic and familial interpretations as long as you don't take away from the friendship aspect. Because they literally have no other excuse for caring about each other in the way they do, it's just pure platonic devotion. (So basically, as long as ur interpretation stays in character) just GOSH they are so silly and then when shit starts getting serious they're clearly like eachothers #1 priority; their first instinct is to protect eachother. (Yes I'm looking at s4e2 when mk chooses to save mei from the curse goop over everyone else. Yes I'm looking at s3e9 when mei tried to attack macaque for hurting mk even though she was literally KEELED over in pain. And many more such cases.)
Not even to mention what we were talking about in rb tags of my post, where the way their relationship/themselves are kinda foreshadowed to be something doomed (especially in regards to the hero&warrior/eclipseduo parallels) but they care about eachother (and everyone else) so much, that they both make self-sacrifical actions just to save eachother (and the world). Mei losing her sword when protecting mk. Letting herself be captured by lbd so mk can get away safely. The whole thing with mk going in the samadhi fire to reach mei. Which is also something I so desperately wish we could get a parellel/sequel to with the roles switched; mei trying to reach mk in his struggle with his identity/powers. It ties into both themes of abandoning vs protecting your friends + breaking the cycle sooo well.
However!!! Another aspect that I wish got more attention; how mk is ignorant to mei's feelings sometimes. It happens a few times throughout the show and it's usually brushed off easily but it IS a recurring issue that I wish the writers delved into more..it was kinda touched on in s5 and it made my eyebrows raise but it looks like it's still being played for jokes? Idk. I find it interesting because it is very clear that mk and swk are avoidant to their own feelings but no one talks about how mei is like that as well. I think mk and mei both struggle with self-worth issues just in a different font, that leads them to both make self-sacrificing decisions for the sake of the people they care about. Then you mix that together into one derangedly devoted relationship. And I wish they did more with it. Bc it makes me crazy.

¿Is it wrong i never shipped thundercest, not for the incest, but because i couldn't stand phoebe?
@amethystoceandespiser
Hm let me refresh my memory here ...who is Pheobe again?! Hold on. Thanks to Google I now know who she is (there 3 girls in the story and I often mix their names, I'm not super engaged with the show btw I find sad how the nickelodeon channel can't show anything new and keeps on reruns and reruns of shows that aren't good. Thunderman are ok but kid danger was not)
Well, she was the girl in the group. She was the goody two shoes and was there to contrast Max's actions. Hm, I love the IDEA here a family of super heroes have a daughter who wants to be a hero and a son who wants to be a villain...and I remember a fic where Max lands as a big villain, in a serious way, and he did that bc he wanted his sister...carnally.
That is such great premise.
One of them being seduced by the dark side bc it gives what they want...freedom to be with who they want...being a hero won't ever let her be with Max and vice versa.
Its an idea for a fic btw.
I do think the Thunderman, if wasn't in the nickelodeon, could have been a neat story.
Anyway...as for Pheobe she is less boring when she is with Max, when she is crushing random guy or with her gal pal she is so generic.
But tell me why you can't stand Pheobe?

the work day is done which means it's time to procrastinate on more chores with Handbook for Mortals! I hope you brought your neckbraces because you are not prepared for the whiplash.
continuing with chapter 7 part 2:
when we last left our hero, Scheherazade was shopping at the mall and picked out a dress of questionable color. it wasn't bad looking, it's just the author changed her mind on whether it was blue or black within two sentences.
-Zade admits to the clerk checking her out that she's got two guys vying for her attention and that she honestly likes them both. she then gets worried that the clerk is going to judge her for this. projecting much?
-okay. okay. oh my god. it's time for this scene, holy fuck. I'm just. I'm just gonna put this here for you to read yourselves:
As I was made [sic] my way up through the main section of the mall, I saw two vaguely familiar-looking figures walking towards me. I squinted as they approached. When they were nearly in front of me, I laughed aloud; of course they were familiar. Carrot Top and Wayne Newton grinned when they saw me, and I couldn't help but let a smile spread across my own face as I stopped to greet them.
just. what do I do with that? I knew it was coming and I'm still laughing so much.
-they all know each other??? for some reason????? I get that Carrot Top and Wayne Newton are Las Vegas regulars, but they are aware of who Zade is outside of her being a potential fan of theirs?
-they are. planning on coming to some premiere. that Zade is connected to, presumably a premiere of a show for her. just. damn, the character shilling.
-okay so. it. it's time for another round of When Is This Story Set? it's a good thing I get to type this and not try to say it aloud. Zade congratulates Carrot Top on winning Comedian of the Decade. no shade to Carrot Top, but I doubt he would have won that even when he was relevant. but if Carrot Top IS a serious contender for it, well, then the story HAS to be set sometime in the 1990s.
-hoooo boy and RIGHT on the heels of that we get a strange girl approaching Zade in the parking garage saying she knows what Zade is. this. this is a lot in one go.
-the narration says the girl tells Zade, "Not what you do, I know what you are," sarcastically, but how? does she mean condescendingly?
-the girl tells Zade that her magic is making it so guys fawn over her and girls can't stand her. so this is it, everybody: this story is running on magic omegaverse juice.
-and then the girl says she wants to test Zade's power, gives herself some space, and casts fuckin Magic Missile. Zade is pushed into the wall but manages to fire back. this satisfies the girl who just up and leaves in an orange Lambo.
-we're not gonna see her again btw. like we will kinda see her again once later, but she's not gonna do anything. no I don't know why the author is sequel baiting in chapter 7.
-"A familiar person was walking up to me, smiling widely." oh christ idk if I can handle another familiar person after the last time you used that phrase.
-turns out it was Lil from chapter 3 who gives Zade a hug, asks if she's okay, and then is never seen again for the rest of the book. I'm not kidding.
and that's the chapter. just. holy shit.
