Can we talk about Marinette’s actions relating to the amoks in contrast to Gabriel and Emilie’s?

In the 16 years of his life, Adrien has never had true control over his actions and decisions. Nothing has ever truly been “Adrien” because everything is coded into his being by people who ‘loved’ him. Who controlled him for the sake of “what’s best for him” out of their own selfish desires.

And then, Gabriel dies, and passes ownership of the amoks to Marinette. A girl who has shown at almost every turn that she will do the selfish or jealous thing when it comes to Adrien. Who has only truly learned what the power of these objects means in the past few months. Who knows, without whatever he has been ordered to do, Adrien may not be the same person she’s fallen for, that he may not love her anymore. And despite this, despite her history of being absolutely obsessed with him, and the fact that if she had gotten this opportunity earlier in their relationship she would’ve likely taken some advantage of it, she gives them to Adrien to keep.

Marinette. Obsessed, jealous, selfish, lovesick Marinette. And yet she is the first and only person in his life to understand the power she holds over him and makes the choice to not only willingly relinquish it, but give Adrien the reins and release him from the bridle that has acted as a muzzle for his entire existence. She sacrifices the opportunity to have the perfect life that she’s dreamt of for years now, understanding that it doesn’t matter what she wants. It can’t matter. Because for him, it’s only ever mattered what other people wanted for, from, and of him. She may lose everything she’s improved and worked for, but she finally understands that it doesn’t matter, because his freedom is worth infinitely more than her happiness. Her only real order to him is to keep the rings safe. She wants him to stay alive and be stable for his freedom, and enjoy it in its entirety.

Emilie and Gabriel both made the choice to use the amoks to morph Adrien into the obedient child they wanted. Gabriel does initially hesitate with this decision, but the moment Adrien starts actually experiencing external joy and finding any amount of freedom, Gabriel pulls the reins back and returns Adrien to his powerful grasp. Adrien cannot be allowed to date anyone Gabriel doesn’t see fit. It doesn’t matter what Adrien wants, because Gabriel can change that. It would only take one order to erase Marinette from Adrien’s life. But he wants to deter her naturally, because bringing Adrien back into isolation so suddenly would create an uproar from both his classmates and the general public at this point.

And Emilie, “the good parent” still didn’t let Adrien go to school, still made him model at such a young age, is also guilty when it comes to his lack of presents for his birthday or holidays, and is seen as consistently happy with this result. There’s no mention of Emilie ever being upset at or about Adrien’s circumstances. She’s an “angel” actually playing devil’s advocate with a smile, teeth hiding her forked silver tongue.

How is it, that the ones who created him, and brought him into existence, care less about his individual wellbeing than a girl who could very easily slot in with the rest of his creepy and obsessed fan base. How tragic is it to know that his creators care less for him than someone who fell for him as the object they forced him into the mold of.

I love miraculous but I think a massive misstep for the show was to barely have the unit of ladybug, chat noir, rena rogue, carapace and queen bee work together. I love the season 2 finale because I think they worked so well together as a unit! Rena and carapace’s banter, chloe being snarky, carapace having chat noir’s back etc. it was so great. Sadly it wasn’t even in heroes day that much because they got akumatised pretty quickly. When I saw it again in miraculer (one of my fave eps) I was so glad they were continuing with it!! (Chloe’s writing in that ep was also rlly good). I wish they kept the group going rather than giving everyone in the class a miraculous (although I did end up liking this more than I thought I would and how it fleshes out the class more). Maybe if Thomas Astruc didn’t hate Chloe :/ (why would u start writing a redemption arc for a character and then stop halfway through like???). But yeah. I wish they had lots more interactions as heroes 😭 at least in season 5 we’ve had mari, adrien, alya and nino hang out again.

Redesign(and rewrite) of Alya and Rena Rouge for my Miraculous rewrite.

The original design was too generic for me and didn't look like a girl who has a blog. I know a Ladybug themed t-shirt that she would start wearing after the heroes' popularity kicked in, She wears a plaid jacket, jeans and boots. I chose this style because I thought it suited her a lot, and yes, I made her hair curlier, and a thousand apologies if it turned out bad, I'm still trying to learn how to draw curly hair TwT

As you can see I also moved the mole a little above her eyebrow, the original position would be covered with her hair. And yes, I decided to dye her hair orange at the ends, I don't know, I thought it would look cool, let me know what you think.

Alya is still Marinette's classmate, and in the beginning she has a very empty blog with very few followers (who would be her closest friends) but before the Ladyblog she would talk about heroes about heroes from other countries, since at the moment Paris would not have heroes yet. She takes a liking to Marinette after helping and defending her from Chloe and showing off the rest of the school (in this rewrite Marinette is a new student at the school as well as Adrian).

She and Nino are very close and she likes superheroes a lot and wants to be a journalist when she grows up. As soon as Ladybug and Chat Noir arrive, she begins to document everything about them, to the point of becoming an obsession of hers that ends up consuming part of her life. Her family and friends, especially Marinette would try to bring her back to reality but she would be trapped in her obsession of discovering who her beloved heroes were.

That was the perfect motivation for Hawkmoth to send an akuma to her, turning her into lady wi-fi, which would go after the heroes looking for their dear answers. She would be defeated and Ladybug would explain how important their identities were, which Alya, after learning that her best friend Marinette was very dejected by her selfish actions, realizes how wrong she was, almost giving up on her dream but being motivated by ladybug to keep dreaming, and that one day she would be an amazing journalist.

Even more inspired by Ladybug, and even more affected by her amortization, Alya begins to change her investigation focus, she no longer wanted to know the identity of the heroes, but that of the villain. She would start balancing her normal life with her little investigations into where the villains came from and who was behind them, and seeing her family, friends and boyfriend being akumatized, She grew to hate Hawkmoth, and wanting to bring justice to those he hurt and manipulated. This attracted the attention of the curious and treacherous Trixx, who felt curious about the number of times he saw her close to danger looking for clues, but he could also feel a desire for justice coming from Her. And then one night, during an akuma attack, she got tired of being useless and tried to help, even though she knew it would be dangerous, but was told to stay out by Ladybug and Chat Noir. Trixx appeared to her and gave her the Miraculous of Illusion, so that she could help her idols and protect her beloved city as Rena Rouge!

I didn't change much in the design, out of all the designs on the show this is one of my favorites but I still added road details. She now has an orange jacket, her knees have white diamonds, and her wrists and heels have fur. The ears are now like a bow for her ponytail, and the cream colored part of the ear contains a dark tone in the middle. Other than that, everything else is the same, just with some additions of different shades of orange.

Trixx gets a tuft of hair too, I thought it would look cute :3

Her flute still has the power to create illusions, mirage is still her main and strongest power, but now she needs to focus on the illusion to keep it as realistic as possible. Her illusions are now much more realistic, when using her illusions she can almost warp reality enough to make her illusions semi-physical(like the phantom ruby ​​from Sonic forces) The more intense the illusion the more she needs to maintain focus.

She can also use camouflage, it's practically the ability to become invisible, but for that she would need to hold her breath. I based it on the fact that foxes are known to be sneaky, and with that Rena would be able to sneak past enemies without being noticed.

Like ladybug and Chat Noir, it also contains a special effect, this effect would be the hallucination effect, With that effect she would play a melody on her flute that would cause a mental confusion in the akumatized that would make them hallucinate for a few minutes until the music stopped. It's more of a distraction but depending on the akumatized it could very well be dangerous. More additions to powers can be added, like a Ktsune-based power or something like that. Tell me what other powers she could have.

As a character, Rena Rouge would be the type to play pranks on other heroes in her spare time such as on patrols and important meetings. She would be close to Ladybug and Chat Noir and would follow any of their orders, but at the same time respect their privacy when she could. She would always go out at night to investigate Hawkmoth alone, but would start to be accompanied by Chat Noir who would also go out at night to patrol alone.

She was always going to interrogate the akumatized about their conversations with Hawkmoth but didn't get much out of them. That is, until a whole group of villains appeared who seemed to be much stronger and had a greater connection to Hawkmoth, filling her with even more questions and leaving her exhausted from investigating.to the point that she couldn't even post anything on the blog, seeing it as something not very important anymore.

Much more is yet to be rewritten about Alya and Rena Rouge, stay tuned!

i could genuinely go on for ages talking about how much i appreciate what little i've seen of duusu but like the biggest thing that's struck me (especially after season 5 ending) IS JUST HOW MUCH MORE HAPPY THEY SEEM TO BE WITH FELIX AS OPPOSED TO NATALIE/GABRIEL!! it probably has a lot to do with the fact that their miraculous has been repaired leading their mind to be much more clear (like was mentioned when Gabriel first repaired it)

but even like compairing how they looked with Gabriel as opposed to with Felix just makes my heart soar with happiness for them

Is it midterms week? Yes. Has the idea and dynamic of Nathalie, Gabriel, and Emilie from Mircaulous, especially as it relates to my fic, just absolutely devoured my every waking thought? Also yes. So at the advice of a friend, I’ve set a thirty minute timer to get all this out on tumblr. I may hit the word limit <3

THEY MAKE ME SICK. I love the complications in the idea behind their relationship.

Quick rundown, Nathalie first falls in love with Emilie when beginning to work for her, and only truly catches feelings for Gabriel when she’s taking care of that pathetic wet rat after Emilie becomes comatose. Emilie is in love with Gabriel, but is more than happy to have multiple people infatuated with her and actively uses Nathalie’s feelings to boost her ego & leads her on (at most they hook up, but it’s probably just a drunk kiss here or there). Gabriel is in love with Emilie, and is begrudgingly ok with Nathalie’s feelings for his wife, especially because it means she’ll be a more loyal worker, and starts to develop feelings for Nathalie when he grants her use of the Peacock miraculous very briefly, and is then wracked with guilt about having feelings for her while Emilie is comatose.

TLDR Emilie is using Nathalie, so is Gabriel until feelings hit him like a truck, and Nathalie puts the Disaster in Bisexual with her horrible taste in people

Both Nathalie and Gabriel are fucking heartbroken and go into deep mourning when Emilie doesn’t wake up. Eventually they lean on each other, but their fangs are both still bared and there’s lots of fights, which lead to them both saying things they regret (ie; “If you hadn’t played with fate and the laws of magic, she’d still be here” from Nathalie and “The only reason I keep you around is because she wouldn’t want me to discard you like the trashy lowlife you are.” from Gabe). They mourn in very different ways, as Nathalie isolates herself and spends a lot of time reminiscing, but Gabriel actively stays in the denial stage for uh. well. forever. you’ve seen the show, if he had accepted losing her he never would’ve become hawkmoth. He also is incredibly irritable and desperate, lashing out at anyone within range. Because he’s constantly erasing Adrien’s memories of this abuse, he gets actively frustrated when he can’t do the same to Nathalie, and she initially buys extra locks for her room so he doesn’t try anything crazy like lobotomizing her (he would).

The locks come off after Gabriel comes to her room, pounding on the door before a very loud thud, at which point she opens her door to find her boss pale and shivering on the floor, eye bags deeper than a sea trench, bleeding aggressively from his hand. She wraps and tends to his wound, and discovers him incredibly feverish and dehydrated. (Nursing back to health enemies to lovers arc!!) After this point Gabriel ends up trusting Nathalie enough to lend her the Peacock miraculous later down the line, but stops cold and snatches it back off her the moment she starts exhibiting symptoms; he’s already lost one woman he’s loved to the damned thing.

Nathalie ends up having underlying chronic health problems (KEEP HER IN THOSE COOL MECHANICAL LEGS OMFG I LOVE THEM), but because she relinquished ownership, the symptoms don’t get any worse.

Gabriel is actively evolving due to his use of the butterfly miraculous, which doesn’t make him a better father to Adrien but DOES make him a better partner to Nathalie because he’s horrible like that <3

While they are kinda romantically affiliated, that doesn’t stop Gabriel from akumatizing her when it’s useful. While some of the times are like in the show, where they’re kinda playful with each other, there’s a time Gabriel goes too far.

Because he’s emotionally distanced from even himself, Gabriel spends his (dead) wife’s birthday waiting for a master akuma to make, and finds it right under his roof in the form of Nathalie, who has been hit hard with grieving. And despite a warning from her, he goes forward with it, and creates [REDACTED]; the akuma I’m most excited to write and design because OMFG this battle is so fun.

Anyways that’s pretty much it.

Nathalie is very Mitski about losing Emilie. And Gabriel’s curiosity-created-the-nuke mad scientist self is more so a caged animal about her. And they find each other through it.

Important thing to keep in mind is that Nathalie is the only healthy component in any of these relationships. Both of these people are incredibly bad for her, but they give her what she craves so she stays.

⚠️Warning for mention of a stillbirth⚠️

So I rewatching miraculous ladybug and I had a little disturbing thought. So losing a child is very traumatic and disturbing event that could send anyone into a spiral. And considering the child would technically no longer be a living being could it be the akumatized object? Like if a woman had a stillbirth and there wasn’t anything like a casket in the way would the akuma just go for the child. It’s disturbing to think of but what if.

I really just want to fan over the Ladynoir parts because that whole sequence just won me over. My goodness!

I just been screenshotting every scene like crazy. It's feeding my hopeless-romantic heart. I just love the way they're just flying around the city and dancing on rooftops. <33 Being together with her kitty and his lady.

This line just melts my heart. My sibling was watching next to me and the way their mouth dropped. Same bro same.

❤️🖤 Closing thoughts:

There's a few problems with the movie (biggest one would be the transitions to each scene being too quick/jarring) BUT I wanna focus on Ladynoir.

It just sends me back those feelings I had when I first saw fan works of these two. Like the good old days. It's so sweet and you can really feel how they work together as a duo. The whole sneaking out in hero form to end up spend the night together. That whole thing.

This all just feels like fanfiction in the best way. And after everything the show has been doing, I just needed this good Ladynoir fluff. It really reminded me why I originally loved the show and these two. <3

TL;DR There's Ladynoir and I'm eating it up. Getting feelings of nostalgia. Man I miss Ladynoir so much.

My thoughts on the Miraculous Seasons!

Yeah, I'll be talking about the Miraculous seasons, including it's specials and movie.

Maybe I'll do another post talking about my thoughts on the sixth season of the series. With the things we have.

Season 1

It's decent. It has it's good episodes (Stormy Weather, The Evillustrator, Bubbler, etc), and bad episodes (Pharaoh, Origins [specially the second part], Kung Food, etc).

The animation it's pretty good, and the characters are good too.

Season 2

The best season indeed!

Here we have the best episodes (The redemption arc of Chloe, Gorizilla, Sandboy and The Heroes' Day).

The characters have been really good, the plot was amazing at this point, etc.

It's funny because Thomas wasn't really involved in this season, Jeremy Zag was.

Season 3

And here the quality started to decrease.

The plot was trying to be more dramatic and serious (like Amphibia did later), but it was like "this show is family friendly, now it's really dramatic!".

The episodes have been mediocre (Oblivio or Feast), bad (Desperada or Bakerix), or garbage (Animaestro, Chat Blanc, Ladybug and the finale).

And of course, the characters have been really bad, especially Marinette and Fu.

Season 4

This season was amazing... I'm lying, in fact, it's really bad.

There was only three good episodes (Mega Leech, Guiltrip and Crocoduel), the rest were going to be bad, to cringey (Wishmaker), to... Qlin (one of the WORST episodes of the entire animation).

And the characters have been really annoying, like Adrien with his stupid "I feel alone" drama with Ladybug and the heroes. It's really stupid and useless.

And don't make me talk about Zoe Lee. I'm just saying that Aurore Beaureal is a character. She would have been more useful with the Bee Miraculous.

Btw, even the animation was horrible here (watch Simpleman, the most unbeta episode, and you'll understand my point).

Season 5

...

What the fuck?!

-Me watching the season 5.

This is the WORST season of the series (and take my words, maybe season 6 is even worse). It's like the pretentious version of Sonichu, but without the creepy instances that wouldn't be family friendly.

This season was so bad, that only ONE episode was pretty decent (Perfection, and it's thanks to Kagami), the rest was really, REALLY terrible (Derision it's a fairly odd parents retcon but even worse, Revelation it's stupid, Collusion it's the worst political episode, Revolution it's the perfect example of Thomas being Chris Chan with Chloe, Representation it's a really bad pretentious fanfic, and the final episodes of the season have been an insult).

Even the animation was horrible here too. The colors have been disgustingly saturated, and didn't help the episodes.

And don't make me talk about its "dramatic" moments... I CAN'T EVEN REFER IT LIKE "DRAMATIC MOMENTS" BECAUSE IT'S AN INSULT.

Bonus: SPECIALS

Miraculous New York

It's garbage, it's only a longer chapter of the series but barely during an hour.

Only one character was good (Sparrow), and it was eliminated just because of the "feminist subplot"...

I'm really missing Chloe's subplot for this special...

And Ladybug was really annoying, of course.

Miraculous Shangai

The best special, but still is bad.

The only good thing about this thing is Fei and the worldbuilding of the special. But the rest was really bad.

And no Thomas, I'm not going to sympathize with Marinette, literally she stalked Adrien going to Shangai and following him with an app...

Miraculous Paris

Here's where I'm going to be dead...

I think this special is really overated, and for me it's really bad.

At least the animation was pretty decent, but that's the only thing I can say...

But the AU concept was really poor, and it's like "we need to be like the Spiderverse".

And the characters have been poorly executed, especially Gabriel, Adrien and Marinette from the "reverse" AU (I can't define it as a reverse AU when only three characters change to be opposites).
