"Rhaenyra was Maegor with Teats!"
"Daemon would be Maegor come again!"
Maegor's crimes:
Usurped the throne from the lawful, rightful heir
Murdered said rightful heir, committing Kinslaying
Rape, more than once
Killed every man, woman and child of House Harroway due to a rumor that his wife, Alys Harroway, had an affair
Ordered his nephew Viserys tortured, from which injuries he died
Put all the workers of the Red Keep's construction to death to keep the secret tunnels well, secret
Butchered 2,000 poor fellows who were, in actual fact, smallfolk at the wrong place at the wrong time
Raped an innkeeper's daughter
Murdered Lord Hayford, and many others
Ordered Rhaella, daughter of Aegon the Uncrowned and Rhaena the Black Bride, to be butchered
Rhaenyra's crimes
Being a woman in a man's world
Having the audacity to want to be heir and the power that comes with it
Allegedly sired bastards though there's no actual proof
Daemon's crimes
Despised the wife he was forced to marry at sixteen years old, who despised him just as much
Spent time with the smallfolk and drank and whored with them, treated them like people
Carried out lawful punishments as Lord Commander of the City Watch
Took a dragon egg without permission, which he returned when Viserys demanded it returned
Blood and Cheese
Aegon the Usurper's crimes
Usurped the lawful heir of the previous monarch
Demanded said heir and her whole family be killed when Rhaenyra wouldn't roll over and accept his "kind" terms
Slept with young girls, children really
Fondled any and every serving girl within reach, likely against their will
Bid in an auction for a young girl's maidenhead and won, siring children on her
Often found in Flea Bottom rat pits with young girls pleasuring him
Often watched "feral, starving children" fight one another for amusement
Threw a feast celebrating Prince Lucerys' cold blooded murder
Ordered every single ratcatcher in the city hanged, even those proven innocent
Allowed Cole to murder the Black supporters in the black cells, angering a great many lords of the realm
Murdered his own sister, committing Kinslaying
Murdered Maester Gerardys for no reason other than he "mistrusted" him
Aemond's crimes:
Used underhanded tactics to claim a dragon he knew his father would disapproved him trying to claim
Threatened the heirs heir and heir to driftmark with death
Committed treason by calling Jace and Luke bastards
Murdered Lucerys in cold blood, especially after he declared that "losing an eye was a fair trade for a dragon"
Is the reason the dance turned from a war of ravens to full on, bloody civil war
Butchered all of House Strong, men, women and children included
He took Alys Rivers as his spoils of war
Indiscriminately burned the Riverlands, murdering thousands of innocents
Daeron's crimes
Burned and entire town to the ground with his dragon, killing hundreds of innocent refugees
Ordered Hugh Hammer and Ulf the White murdered because they insulted him
Helaena's crimes
Supported her husband's usurpation of the throne, and being crowned queen herself
Not much else, but even if she declared herself neutral in the face of all of this, neutrality in the face of oppression means you side with the oppressor so...

And yes, Daemon's daughters (Baela & Rhaena) and Daemyra's sons (Aegon III & Viserys II) survived the dance. Not Alicent. Sad. Nah, I'm joking. It's just as well that this bitch is dead. The Greens stans make me laugh trying to make believe that Alicent survived everyone in the end. No way. She will be locked up, hating the color green for the rest of her days before dying of fever. Not very glorious. (On the other hand, those in the comments who try to say that Daemon may have survived... No. He's fucking dead. Stop having weird fantasies about him fucking surviving !)

alicent is a “childbride at 15” and suddenly her growth is stunted forever and she can’t be held accountable for her actions but luke was “nearly a man” when he died at 13 so therefore he deserved to die and has to answer for the “sin” of taking his uncles eye out? mkay.

One thing I think is really important when it comes to understanding Daemon and Rhaenyra's relashionship is the fact that Daemon doesn't show his love through words, he does it through actions. Quite frankly I'm not sure he knows how to verbally express love. He can't support her emotionally, but he can still do other things for her.I think this is shown really well in season 1 episode 10 and season 2 episode 1.
When Rhaenyra learns of her father's death and the Green's usurpation of her throne, she goes into premature labor almost imediatly, so there is no time for her to start planning her bid for the Iron Throne. Daemon takes the liberty of starting to plan the beginings of the war, and in doing so leaves Rhaenyra to endure childbirth alone. There is a very memorable scene in which Daemon schemes with Rhaenyra's small council at the Painted Table, whilst Rhaenyra screams in the background, even calling out for him at one point. Daemon makes no move to go to her and simply continues to plan a war, at least until Jace informs him that Rhaenyra doesn't want anything done until she is able to join them. Even then he does not join her. He goes to threaten two members of the Kingsguard with Caraxes, so as to ascertain that they will remain loyal to Rhaenyra. Now, when I first watched this scene, I, and probably everyone else, assumed that Daemon was taking the opportunity provided by Rhaenyra's premature labor to seize control and have the war start on his terms. Rhaenyra also seems to believe this, as when Jace inquires about Daemon's wherabouts she says "Off planning his war." However, upon rewatching that episode, I think that think that Daemon refusing to attend Rhaenyra in her labors and instead planning a war for her, is actually his way of trying to help her. Daemon is thinking that, while he does not know how to comfort her, and hold her hand, and help her through childbirth, he does know a thing or two about war. In his mind, he's essentially saying something along the lines of "I cannot help you there, so let me remain here where I am of use to you," because, as I said above, Daemon expresses love through his actions, not his words. I think at least part of him wants to be there for Rhaenyra, but he just doesn't know what he can say or do that would help her, so he focuses on what he can do: getting the council together and starting to plan, so that when Rhaenyra comes back he can show her that he's done something of use.
Then, when the child is stillborn, Rhaenyra once again needs comfort and reassurance that Daemon just does not know how to give. There is a scene of them, standing in front of their daughter’s funeral pyre, and you can see him give her this very concerned look, and kind of glance over like he wants to say something, but he doesn't, because he just does not know what he's supposed to say. Then Ser Erryk (or maybe Arryk, I can never remember,) arrives with the crown, and Daemon is relieved because he might not be able to offer her kind words, but he can be the one to put that crown on her head. A gesture that is even more meaningful if you consider how much he wants that crown. By being the one to physically place the crown on her head, he is telling her "I'm sorry that I can't be there for you, but I love you and I will support you." Then they go back to the war council, and Rhaenyra is asking about their numbers, and Daemon is the first one to speak. He starts talking almost before Rhaenyra finishes asking, he seems almost eager (even though their numbers are nothing to be eager about,) because she's finally asking him for something he can give. This is his chance to show her that, even if he cannot be there for her emotionally, he can still do this. He can organize this war and help her win, and do damn good job of it. This is really how Daemon says "I love you."
Then fast forward to 2x01, and Luke is dead, and Rhaenyra once again needs a level of emotional support he's simply not equipped to give, only this time, there is nothing else he can do to help her. He tries to convince Rhaenys to fly to Kings Landing, but she refuses, so he can do nothing except sit around, helplessly, while Rhaenyra mourns. Then she comes back, and he tries to be supportive, by asking if she "found what she needed," but she doesn't answer him. Instead, she declares that she "wants Aemond Targaryen." In Daemon's mind, she has essentially told him that to comfort her, he must have Aemond killed. So he uses his contacts in the City Watch to arrange it. I think one of the reasons he gave Blood and Cheese such vague instructions as to what to do if they can't find Aemond, is because he needs something for Rhaenyra. He can't be helpless any more. (Note: I am in no way condoning Blood and Cheese, or saying that Daemon did the right thing. I am simply trying to understand him and his choices better. Please dont come after me.) But then it fails. Catastrophically. And not only has Daemon failed to help Rhaenyra, he has made things much worse.
So he goes to Harrenhal to get the support of the river lords. But, so far, he has achieved next to nothing. (Obviously he's been busy with the hauntings and home renovations.) But he will not admit to Rhaenyra that he's failing miserably, so he ignores her ravens and sends none of his own. (I don't believe any of the bullshit Ryan Condal is trying to spin about him betraying her.) Because he will not go back to Dragonstone empty handed. Because to Daemon, that would be like telling Rhaenyra he doesn't love her anymore.

I swear…if they even dare to have Daemon physically abuse Rhaenyra on or off screen (something that NEVER happened in canon), I will officially be 100% done with this shitshow.
The choking scene was bad enough (as confirmed by the actors themselves). There had better be a good explanation for that bandaged hand and the bruise on her cheek in that promo.
Daemon Targaryen was many things. But he was NEVER physically abusive towards any of his wives (not even Rhea Royce, the wife he despised).
The only ones to suffer Daemon’s wrath are his family’s enemies.
For what possible reason would Daemon inflict harm on the love of his life?
It’s pathetic how Condal tries the most despicable things to get the GA to root for his greenies, and it still doesn’t work. What is this guy’s problem?
And I can’t believe GRRM lets him butcher his absolute fave like this. Shame on him.

Daemon was not that present in Rhaenyra's life. Sorry to break your bubble, but Daemon did the same thing everyone else did, y'all hate him because he is a Targaryen.
He started courting Rhaenyra when she was of age, when others were already trying to court her, others of Daemon's age or older.
If you call Daemon Targaryen a groomer, you have to call Harwin Strong and Criston Cole groomers too. Otherwise you are just blindly hating because of a character last name.

I saw that your requests are open and that you, like me, are pissed off with what they are doing to Daemon. Soooo, can I get a Daemon x POC (or ambiguous appearance) fem!reader where she is with the Blacks, but seeing Rhaenyra's incompetence (and how she has no respect for the lords who fight for her, and the fact that she trusts Mysaria but not Daemon), she tells her some hard truths to her face and goes to Harrenhal to help him, please? (It can be romantic or not, I just need this man to be valued, loved, and cared for).

Fandom: House of the Dragon Pairing: None (minor one sided reader x Daemon Targaryen) Words: 1,569 Warnings: Mentions of Luke's death, Blood and Cheese
As much as I hate show Rhaenyra, I ship Daemyra quite a lot and I like to believe Daemon would never cheat Rhaenyra. So the romance is one sided and more innocent in nature.
Tumblr media
You were sitting at the table, clenching your fists as tightly as possible. Rhaenyra once again shut down any suggestions from her council members, with you being one of them. Despite all of your combined efforts, the Queen just didn’t want to understand the gravity of the situation you all were in. The Greens were amassing greater armies and more holdings all across the realm. Yet Rhaenyra kept refusing to take any action. Prince Jacaerys had suggested looking for people with Targaryen blood so they could sort out more dragon riders. The suggestion was a wise one. And finally, Rhaenyra took some steps to participate in the war. And yet, she kept ignoring her biggest asset – her husband Prince Daemon, and his dragon Caraxes. They had left for Harrenhal days ago and yet there was no word. Clearly, the King consort had some disagreements with the Queen. Irrespective of your countless requests, Rhaenyra kept dismissing any possibility of sending a raven to Daemon. It was frustrating you to no end.
Prince Daemon had always been a special person to you. Ever since you had seen him at the tourney, you had admired the prince. He might be called reckless by many but he was in truth a Targaryen through and through – stubborn, yes but powerful, brave, and smart. He knew what needed to be done and when. He had suggested taking Kings Landing as soon as you received the news of usurping. But Rhaenyra had refused. Even after her son, the little prince Lucerys was murdered in cold blood, the Queen had not taken any action. Instead, she had banished the only person who sought any revenge for the dead prince and had even gone to Kings Landing to speak with the woman partially responsible for his death. You couldn’t believe her audacity when she had disappeared for days and then returned nonchalantly as if nothing had happened. Even now, Rhaenyra sat in her chair, hands folded in front of her, doing nothing.
Your eyes fell on the woman standing next to her and you suppressed the urge to throw your glass at her. Mysaria. The woman who had been selling secrets to Otto Hightower for the past decade, the woman who had helped in usurping Rhaenyra’s throne, the woman who had love for only herself. She stood by the Queen’s side instead of her King Consort. It was unnatural and extremely stupid of Rhaenyra to put her trust in this woman. A loud sigh came out of Prince Jacaerys’ mouth as he got up and excused himself out of the room. Poor Prince.  It seemed like only he and Daemon were willing to do what was necessary. When your father had pledged toward Rhaenyra as the heir to the Iron Throne, you had also sworn to always side with her, and stay loyal to her. But she was making it very difficult with her bad decision-making.
Mysaria whispered something in Rhaenyra’s ear that made her smile and your blood boil. Who knows what she was plotting? You couldn’t take it anymore and stood up from your chair abruptly. “Your Grace”, you addressed her directly, “May I talk to you in private?”
Rhaenyra glanced at you and then at Mysaria who gave her the tiniest of nods. She nodded back and got up from her chair. “Of course, my Lady. Everyone, leave us.”
The council members looked uneasy but left nonetheless. Mysaria was last to leave. While walking out, she purposely nudged your shoulder and gave you a skeptical look. You couldn’t help the eye roll that happened in response. Once she left, you turned toward the Queen.
“Your Grace, forgive me for my bluntness but you’re making a huge mistake.”
Rhaenyra’s eyebrow shot up and she asked in a serious tone, “Mistake? What sort of mistake?”
“Trusting the word of Mysaria. Do not forget she is a self-serving woman, not that there is anything wrong with it. But as a monarch, you’re supposed to be the one making decisions. At the end of the day, Lady Mysaria will always look out for herself first. Who’s to say she won’t jeopardize our position in the war tomorrow if it favors her?”
She listened to your words quietly. After a moment, she replied, “Anyone can turn on me anytime. How is she any different?”
“You don’t understand. We’re here to honor our and our fathers’ oaths. We’re here because we have accepted you as our Queen because we believe in you. Has she sworn to you?”
“No, but-“
“Then how can you trust her so easily? She was once close to Prince Daemon and look at how quickly she turned on him. She does not hold loyalty to anyone. Giving her so much power over yourself will prove to be risky.”
“What do you suggest I do, then? Send her away?”
Her tone irked you. It sounded awfully defensive.
“No, Your Grace. She’s an important ally to have. All I’m saying is that don’t get too close to her. She might use your weaknesses against you tomorrow. She has said it herself, she is on no one’s side. She only looks out for herself. Instead of indulging in her manipulation, you should call Prince Daemon back.”
Rhaenyra’s face contorted at your words into one of anger. She took a deep breath and sat on her chair. “Daemon this. Daemon that. I do not need him!”
“Yes. Yes, you do. He has always been our greatest strength. If he was at Rook’s Rest with Princess Rhaenys, she would’ve been alive today.”
“He ordered the murder of a child in my name! He sullied my reputation behind my back.”
“He avenged your son. And hasn’t he told you he didn’t order them to specifically kill the child? Why won’t you trust his word?”
“Because he’s ambitious. He has always wanted the throne-“
You couldn’t control your anger anymore. She was being obnoxious.
“I’m sorry but you’re wrong. If he had wanted the throne for himself, there were many times he could’ve killed King Viserys when he was still his heir. Or he could’ve killed you when you were young and unsuspecting. You constantly misunderstand him and yet question his loyalty?”
Rhaenyra scoffed and took a sip of wine from her glass. “What do you know of Daemon? I have known him forever. He only ever thinks of himself.”
“That sounds awfully like Mysaria. Are you sure you know him at all? I might not know him well but even I understand that he has been loyal to you always. He married you at such a time when you and your claim were the weakest. He stood loyally by your side and crowned you himself. And yet you claim he’s self-serving. It seems to me the self-serving one is you. You asked him to marry you when you needed and now you try to push him aside?”
“How dare you-“
“How dare I? How dare you disrespect all the Lords and soldiers who are here to fight on your behalf? You ignore their sacrifices, their wisdom. Your ignorance blinds you, Rhaenyra.”
Rhaenyra’s eyes were wide open and she opened her mouth to say something but closed it again. It seemed her anger gave way to something else—doubt, perhaps, or fear.
“I speak these words not out of disloyalty, but out of love for the cause we fight for,” you continued. “But if you continue down this path, you will lose everything. Including me.”
You got up from your chair and left the hall, leaving a stunned Rhaenyra in your wake.
Tumblr media
The journey to Harrenhal was harrowing, with the road fraught with danger and uncertainty. You pressed on, determined to reach your destination despite the trials. As dawn broke, the ruins of Harrenhal loomed before you, a stark contrast to the grandeur of Dragonstone. Its charred walls and crumbling towers stood as a testament to the power of dragons and the wrath they could unleash. Your heart was heavy, but your resolve remained unshaken. It was obvious that Rhaenyra wasn’t going to see reason soon, so why waste your time with her? And so here you were, at Harrenhal, about to pledge your loyalty to the King Consort.
Daemon was overseeing the fortifications, his presence commanding and intimidating. When he saw you, a flicker of surprise crossed his face. As you walked closer, you saw his face and a gasp escaped your lips. His complexion was paler than usual, and his eyes no longer held the flames of dragonfire you so admired.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, his tone gruff.
“I came to help,” you replied, meeting his gaze.
“Rhaenyra let you go?” His tone held suspicion.
“I left of my own accord,” you said. “She needs to learn some hard truths, and I need to be where I can make a difference.”
The hard lines of his face eased as he stepped closer, his gaze softening as he studied your face for a moment. “You’ve always had a sharp tongue and a brave heart. I could use both.”
A smirk formed on his face, and he gestured towards the ruins of the castle. “Welcome to hell then.”
You took in the sight of Harrenhal, its desolation stark against the morning light. The once-grand fortress was now a place of shadows and echoes, a fitting backdrop for the battles to come.

Okay so like wtf aemond is the one who historically goes down as a kinslayer but no mention of lucaerys's death in the show, just rhaenyra and daemon being blamed for jaehaerys by the brackens and everyone else supposedly. What about Luke ? is no one going to bring up the fact that he was an envoy and was EATEN by vhagar!!? Could that not be used as a counter argument by the blackwoods.

Eyes Black Like an Animal
Pairing: Daemon Targaryen x f!reader Warnings: Mentions of blood, smut, choking, degradation, rough sex. Word count: ~1.6k
Summary: When Daemon returns covered in blood from his duties as Commander of the City Watch, his wife requests that he uses her to ease his anger. Based on this request.
Author's note: No tag list. Please follow @fics-by-ewanmitchellcrumbs and turn on post notifications. Community labels are for cops.
The steam from the bath she has had the chambermaid prepare curls upwards from the water, dampening the bare skin of her neck as she leans over it to pour in the scented oils, the precise ones she knows Daemon likes.
This is their nightly routine. He will be back from his duties as commander of the City Watch soon and, ever the dutiful wife, she always has a bath awaiting him, so that he can wash away the grime of the city.
The heavy wood of the door to their chambers slams loudly against the stone wall, the noise echoing off of the vaulted ceilings, causing her to startle. Her head snaps up, eyes widening as she takes in the sight of her husband.
He stalks through their apartments, his expression a glower, ichor splattered across his face. His hands are bloodied and there is a darkened stain across the breastplate of his armour. His golden cloak seems to be the only thing that has escaped the gore that decorates him.
Rushing to him, she takes his face in her hands, only to be gently pushed away as quickly as she touches him.
“Leave me,” he says sullenly, unclasping Dark Sister from his sword belt and leaning it against the wall.
“You are hurt,” she protests as her arms drop slowly back to her sides, her brow furrowing in concern.
“It is not my blood,” he snaps, dropping his helmet down onto the settee with a clatter, before striding over to the bathtub and rinsing his hands and face.
She watches the blood float through the water like tendrils of silk, her mind racing with thoughts of the terrible fate someone has likely met at the hands of her husband this evening. When Daemon straightens again his face is clean, but his dark and angry demeanour remains.
“What happened?” She asks gently, eager to reach for him but knowing her touch is the very last thing he wants when he is in this mood.
“I executed justice,” he tells her, drying his face and hands, “but that is not the problem. My brother gave me an army of two thousand men to command, yet his cunt of a Hand feels it is his right to dictate the punishments I see fit to serve.”
There it is; Otto. Daemon’s rivalry with the Hand of the King had been a bitter one ever since Otto had convinced Viserys to remove Daemon from office when he was Master of Coin, and again when he was appointed as Master of Laws.
Daemon has flourished in his new position as commander of the City Watch since being awarded it, yet he is at constant odds with Otto regarding the harsh punishments he exacts on the criminals of King’s Landing.
“He had the audacity to compare me to Maegor the Cruel,” he continues, and she can see the anger within him rising once more as his gaze darkens and his nostrils flare.
She takes a tentative step forward, eager to calm him down, not wanting him to ruin their evening with his foul temper. “My love, you know his words are untrue. Pay him no mind and allow me to help you out of your armour.”
He shakes his head, turning away from her. “You are better off leaving me alone tonight. I have no kindness to offer you.”
Taking another step towards him, she speaks quietly. “What if it is not your kindness that I seek?”
His head lifts, half looking over his shoulder at her as his eyebrow raises in curiosity. “And what is it you do seek?”
She swallows thickly, her pulse racing with a mixture of fear and excitement. “I want your anger, your frustration, all of it. Take it out on me.”
Daemon turns fully, closing the gap between them slowly, a predatory glint in his eye as he looks down at her, leaning in so close that his nose brushes against hers. “Are you fully aware of what it is that you are asking for?” He whispers, his breath fanning hotly against her face.
Her core throbs in anticipation, thoughts of how roughly Daemon manhandles her in the throes of passion swirl in her mind, making her feel lightheaded with lust. “Yes,” is all she is able to utter.
“Very well then.” His hand reaches around the back of her head, grabbing a fistful of her hair and tugging gently so that she is forced to meet his eyes. “And what is it you say should you wish to stop?”
“K–kelītīs,” she stammers, arousal making it feel as though there is fire in her veins.
“Good girl.” He gives her hair another gentle tug, before grasping the back of her neck and pushing her towards the bed. “Lay down. On your back.”
She does exactly as she is told, her chest rising and falling rapidly with the accelerated breaths of her excitement.
Daemon grabs hold of her by the ankles dragging her until her backside just barely rests on the edge of the mattress. Still fully clad in his armour and golden cloak, he reaches for the dagger that remains sheathed upon his sword belt. Her breath hitches as he withdraws it, a shiver running through her body, whether it is from fright or anticipation she is unsure. The Valyrian steel shines in the dull light of the bedchamber and when he brings it down upon the neckline of her nightgown it moves through the material like fingers through spiderwebs.
The dagger rattles with a metallic clink against the flagstone floor as Daemon drops it, pulling open the now two-slashed halves of her cotton shift to reveal her nakedness. A low noise of approval rumbles in his throat, the sound shooting straight between her thighs as she feels wetness gather there.
Daemon’s pupils are blown wide with lust, in the low lighting they appear almost black as he stares hungrily down at her. He leans over her, the coldness of his armour against her bare skin making her gasp. Her nipples pebble at the chilly sensation and, as though fully in tune with her body’s response to him, two of Daemon’s calloused fingers tweak harshly at one of them. It is a pleasurable hurt, one that makes her mewl piteously and arch against him.
“Wanton little thing,” Daemon rasps, “I bet you’re wet already.”
His other hand finds its way between her legs, cupping roughly at her mound before his digits spread through the slickness of her folds. Her hips buck, chasing his touch until he swats between her legs, causing her to yelp, the sensation sending waves of warmth throughout her lower belly.
“Don’t be greedy,” he hisses, pulling away to unfasten his trousers and push down his breeches, freeing his erection. He runs his hand up and down the length of it, eyeing her with an animalistic hunger, the slightest of smirks tugging at his lips as she instinctively parts her legs wider for him.
As he guides himself to her entrance she barely has a moment to adjust before he is pressing forcefully inside, pushing apart her inner walls and stretching her brutally, causing her to cry out.
“Fucking take it!” He spits out, wrapping a hand around her throat, while the other grasps her hip, tugging her violently against him to meet each of his hard thrusts.
She is struck by the imbalance of power; she is bare beneath him, utterly vulnerable, while Daemon remains not just fully clothed, but clad in armour, free to do as he pleases to her. She clenches at the idea, causing him to grunt.
“Such a slut,” he pants, the smack of his thighs against hers becoming more insistent as he quickens his pace, his fingers applying more pressure to the sides of her throat.
She feels lightheaded, the only thing that seems as though it is stopping her from floating away entirely are the harsh, sharp thrusts that meet the end of her, causing her to wail, tears forming in her eyes, before trickling down her cheeks.
As Daemon’s hips begins to falter in their movements, the hand grasping her hip snakes between their bodies, his fingers expertly circling her pearl, causing heat to lick at her lower spine. He presses down more firmly, making faster, tighter movements against her bud and she jolts, sudden warmth crashing over her in waves as she cries out, tightening around him.
With a groan, he stills, leaning over her, pulsating as he spills deep inside of her. For a few moments he does not move, simply hovering over her, careful not to crush her with the weight of his armour.
She feels boneless, weightless, wanting nothing more than to close her eyes and drift into a peaceful, satisfied sleep. But that is not what Daemon has in mind.
As his breathing slows, he lifts himself to look at her, tenderly gripping her chin between thumb and forefinger, tilting her face towards him so that he can take in the sight of her tear stained cheeks, glassy eyes, and parted lips. The softness is a dissonant juxtaposition from the brutality he displayed just moments ago.
For the first time that evening, his lips find hers and he kisses her, slowly and sensually. She sighs happily into it, enjoying his closeness.
“Thank you”, he murmurs when he eventually pulls away. “Allow me to remove my armour and I will have another bath drawn. This evening we shall bathe together.”
As inviting as sleep seems at this moment, she knows that the offer from her husband is far more appealing.

I still can't get over what they did with Daemon's character in season 2. The Riverlands storyline in particular befuddles me because who is Oscar Tully to tell King Consort Daemon that him and Willem Blackwood went too far in how the Brackens were treated? They're in a war and the Brackens were refusing to bend the knee which is actual treasonous behavior. For trying to side with the usurper, they're pretty lucky they didn't get worse treatment tbh. But what I hate even more is how much of pushover Daemon is shown to be in those scenes. He puts on a big show of trying to intimidate the Brackens into bending the knee by threatening them with Caraxes, they still refuse, and what does Daemon do? Nothing. Idk I just feel like book!Daemon would have fed at least a couple of them to Caraxes to prove a point lol.
He lets people refuse to bend the knee, he lets them threaten to ally themselves with the enemy, he lets himself get bossed around by some lords. Like Daemon did you forget who you were??
I've already complained about this in previous posts but this is also once again a case of characters who were enthusiastic team black supporters in the book but they're extremely hesitant in the show and they even seem to dislike team black.
I'm tired of the narrative the show has going on where all of team black's allies are seemingly only supporting Rhaenyra because of oaths or shared blood. Jeyne "we women must stick together in this world of men" Arryn looked like she was one second away from switching sides every time she was on screen. Rhaenys was ready to spill Green blood as soon as possible in the book but they made her against war and and barely tolerant of Rhaenyra in the show. In the book when Daemon began assembling troops at Harrenhal, thousands responded to the call to support Rhaenyra, even River lords. But in the show Daemon has a hard time trying to gather people to join his cause and it's not until Oscar Tully tells his people to side with them that they actually do and also of course Oscar Tully can't stand Daemon because ya know team black supporters have to hate team black for one reason or another.
Daemon was extremely effective with his time in Harrenhal in the book but they made him pathetic in season 2. Almost every character has had a major personality change from season 1 to season 2 which I don't really understand because both seasons have the same writers right? Miguel Sapochnik left after season 1 but he couldn't have been solely responsible for the first season being decent or was he? I'm just confused about what the heck went wrong in season 2.

.......😭 my beautiful queen! You did not deserve that! They caused her to lose something she always wanted - a daughter.
Look at her eyes in the first pic... 🙃🙃I'm fine. I'm fine. Why would I not be fine?
Visenya could've lived. She could've grown up to be a beautiful woman just like her mother. And she would've been a fierce dragon rider like her mother and father.
Daemon could've taught her High Valyrian and how to wield a sword.
Nyra would've loved dressing her up and doing her hair in the style of Old Valyria.
I know Jace, Luke, Joff would've adored her. They would chase her around the Painted Table and tickled her.
Baela and Rhaena would've been overjoyed to have another sister and girl in the family.
Baela would take her on a ride above Dragonstone on Moondancer.
Rhaena would've picked out the dragon egg that would lay in the crib of her little sister. Or maybe Rhaena would've given Visenya her own egg in the hope of it hatching and bonding with her.
Visenya was robbed of her life before it even started. She was robbed of knowing her parents and siblings. She was robbed of their love. And they were robbed of hers.
I will forever hold a grudge against TG, just for causing Nyra's miscarriage, not including all the other horrible shit they did to Rhaenyra and how they've treated her for years.

So I’ve just learned that people are saying that the fact that Daemon wasn’t there while Rhaenyra was giving birth to Visenya means that he wasn’t there when Aegon and Viserys were born either.
This is just baffling to me because the first half of episode 10 was absolutely full of proof that he actually was there for both.
When Jace asks where Daemon is, he seems angry that he isn’t with Rhaenyra. If Daemon hadn’t been present with Aegon and Viserys, then Jace would presumably be used to him not being with Rhaenyra while she’s in labor. But that’s not what we see. What we see is Jace being pissed that Daemon is not there. Now I’m sure that there will be people who say “Oh he just expects Daemon to be there since he’s Rhaenyra’s husband” but Rhaenyra’s first husband, Laenor, wasn’t at Joffrey’s birth and probably (although this isn’t confirmed) wasn’t at Jace or Luke’s birth either, so Jace wouldn’t expect Daemon to be there unless he had been there in the past.
Rhaenyra also seems to expect him to be there, seeing as she literally calls out for him. If there’s one thing we know about Rhaenyra, it’s that she’s proud. If she doesn’t think her husband will be with her while she gives birth, then she’s not going to scream for him for all the castle to hear. But she does. At this point she’s lived in Dragonstone for 6 years, so she probably knows that her screams will echo through the whole castle. The fact that she calls out for Daemon, even though she knows that literally everyone in the castle will hear her, means that she expects him to heed her call, and expectation she would not have if he hadn’t been with her for their previous children.
Even the Small Council seems a bit surprised that he’s not with Rhaenyra. Every time she screams, they kinda look at him like they think he’s about to leave and go to her. Obviously most of them would not have been on Dragonstone when Aegon and Viserys were born, but they still seem to have heard rumors about Daemon staying with Rhaenyra, because they clearly expect him to react in some way. Remember, in HotD/GoT its pretty uncommon for the father have anything to do with the birth, much less be there, so the fact that they seem to expect it from Daemon suggests his presence at Aegon and Viserys' births.
Obviously, Daemon is not present for Visenya's birth (my analysis of that is here) but using that to say that he's a bad father and husband, and then trying to justify it by saying that he wasn't there when his sons were born (when all evidence points to the contrary,) is doing his character a disservice. I'm not saying that him leaving Rhaenyra alone while she was in labor was the right thing to do, but I think people need to remember that the circumstances during which Visenya was born are extremely different from the circumstances when Aegon and Viserys are born. Stop inventing things to demonize Daemon. We get enough of that from Ryan Condal.
