And then my hand and eye mutinied against me and it ended up like this #It does look really nice like I'm really happy with it but hweh #I'd say I was trying to simplify so I can knock multiple out at once but a) I completely changed the poses during the sketch #Which I mean it's already a little on the complex side with them in costumes lol #And b) I ended up knocking another out the same day anyway so uhhhh it's fine I guess lol #Their couch really only comes in Loveseat and Extra Wide flavours depending on the day lol #Continuing the trend of them getting ready at home rather than actually being out during Trick or Treat #Even that one kid Trick or Treat was in the dreamscape! Will they ever leave the apartment! Lol #Another one of Scriabin's couple costume ideas again as well when will he stop complaining about his own choices lol #Never! He loves it! Haha #The halo is tucked into the braid in his hair - I've seen the headband version but they're ugly :P Lol #So basketball hoop design it is lol at least it's not a shower curtain haha #His wings' elastic arm bands are under his shawl - Edgar's helping him cover everything seamlessly #Not so lucky with his own costume! Hehe ''I'm not cutting holes in a perfectly good jacket for a costume'' ''Boooo'' lol #At least the tail is hooked to his belt so that's hidden! He gets the headband horns tho lol - they'd be cute as barrettes too hehe <3 #Scriabin's going to be asking to switch halfway through the night after he trips on his gown for the fifth time haha #Did Edgar have the forethought to pack a change of clothes for him into his briefcase??#Probably has an emergency health kit and lets Todd (and Scriabin) borrow it for extra candy space haha #He gets to carry candy too <3 Involved ♪

#witch hat tag #orufrey #i'm not drawing as much or as well as i'd like to be doing. i'm trying to get through a comic i've been really wanting to do #but i'm just finding it so hard. disheartening. btw the 2nd one relates to some official art of qif wearing a dress like the girls #and the 4th one relates to how i've been drawing EXTREMELY SMALL for years. idk how to explain it but i always clicked 'fit to screen'#and so all my art EVER has looked bad when you zoom in bc it's already like size 1 zoomed in to the MAX pfhgguguhfpfhGHAHHHHH #i was so confused allll this time why brushes always look different for me than what they're supposed to #'wow this brush is so jaggedy..really rather jaggedy...calling it the Jagged Cai Special..bringing it out for those jaggedy moments..#really quite jaggedy i must say...' and it's literally not jaggedy #but now i have to get used to how all those brushes that i'd gotten used to indeed look how they're supposed to finally. There must be people who experience specific instinct things with indifference or boredom.

Procreative cycle coming up? "Crap, I've got plans this weekend...stupid skip weeks."

Caught an intriguing scent while walking? "But I need to get to work! Shut up brain."

Had a snap response to a distressed sound? "Who was it?! ...right, it's my day off, I can go back to sleep."

Somebody growled at them? "Kid, I'm not a rival, that's my sibling."

Super cozy cuddle session happening nearby? "I'm gonna pass tonight guys, no social battery left, maybe next time."

Group of friends heading out to flirt and check out other singles? "I'm coming with you but only to make sure you all get home safe."

Setting where fated mates or soul bonds or permanent marks are a thing? "Meh. I don't really want one or care if I ever get one."

People in the actual omegaverse would get as bored of their stuff, as we do of ours, you know? It could be interesting to see that kind of vibe in fics. Biological demands faced with all the excitement of paying bills or doing laundry or tying your shoes.

Even if that kind of energy might not drive a plot, it could be interesting to have as a contrast to the people who do have big feelings about them - good or bad.

There's the friends who can't wait til they have a pack of their own, and the one friend who isn't against it but couldn't care less. There's the group in the office who are all about scent compatibility tests and figuring out one's best match and what sprays most highlight it, and the coworker who has no intentions on putting that much effort in. There are parents who hover and protect their offspring by scenting them multiple times a day, and others who don't see what the fuss is as long as it's done in the morning.

...also: packs with introverts who show care by giving each other space. So often, closeness is depicted through physical touch and tactile affection, but comfortable silence is meaningful too. Knowing people are near, but not having to interact until you're ready. Sitting in the same room doing different things, knowing that all it takes is a "hey, look at this" to share what you're up to. People understanding and accepting each other's differing or fluctuating needs for how and when to recharge. Seeing somebody reaching out or sharing space, beyond what's their norm, as a signal of the fact that they care.

The best thing about Italy and Europe is that linen just- exists here. I can go buy a shitty cheap 100% linen dress like I would go to Fry's and buy a shitty cheap 100% polyester dress in America. Absolutely revolutionary for my wardrobe. I can't actually buy wardrobe enhancements because I have a carry-on suitcase, but the fact I still have the option is amazing.

#I can't wear polyester because something about my sweat clings to the fibers. I can only wear >60% natural fibers. I've slowly been #weaning all poly out of my wardrobe. The restriction helps a lot preventing impulse buys; but here my impulse buy is only restricted by $$#i am absolutely not crying over the $350 linen women's suit jacket I saw :( UGH it was GORGEOUS and GREEN. I want a linen suit so bad #but honestly it's the kind of thing I should just spend a thousand on and get bespoke I think. It'd look better and feel classier #if you're spending that much money on a thick linen knit in the first place.#Okay tag essay: but can we talk about linen knit fabrics? I've seen so many beautiful linen weaves this weekend I'm losing my mind.#I think there was a kind of Tricot or Bird's Eye knit linen simple-curve dress that blew me away. The amount of work you can do with #two colors and a fashionable knit is insane. Then you wear a jacket over it and the linen is still light enough to wick away sweat but #heavy enough to look fashionable and stay flat. There's really this talented balance of texture that shines in linen. I love linen so much #Anyway! I should've made another post for this but none of these ramblings are important lol #I'm really tired after Anacapri. and dinner. Dinner was kind of dumb. There was confusion about what I wanted. We just wanted #appetizers to share but they gave me a whole plate of octopus. Which I feel bad about eating and don't like the texture after 10 bites.#So I had to give it to dad. Long story short I didn't want to eat anything at all; I wanted to WRITE. But I didn't write. I ate.#I'm already like 10 pounds heavier than when I left lmfao. It's starting to pack on my hips. People like this have made me terrified that I am mischaracterizing my favorite character by playing into his strengths and emphasizing them so much... That I'm making things "too anime", "too over-the-top", and by doing that straying away from the groundedness that made the character compelling in the first place... But I think it's better to be a fan who loves someone so much they're willing to step into goofy over-the-top showcases of strength and morals out of love than being a fake fan who only ever rags on what they proclaim is so dear to them. I dunno. I don't think I'm wrong in saying that. I'm hella insecure when it comes to my own writing, especially with this guy because I want to do him as much justice as I possibly can as a writer. But I have to convince myself that it's not too much.

#logs #it doesn't help that i've been exposed to a lot of bad writing and cynical critique in general‚ so i'm even more fearful...#but i think the cure for that is to just... read more‚ and read with an honest heart #i don't know... i feel like i have a lot of growth to do as a person‚ as a reader and writer before i can execute this to the level where it #can truly be considered a masterpiece. grounded‚ yet not so. over-the-top in every way while also providing meaningful critique and #commentary on the nature of humanity. gutwrenching dialogue packed neatly with the most insane displays of asskicking. commentary on how war #is cruel and bad and only sows misery contrasted with the coolest battle scenes you have ever seen. these are the essence of the things i #love‚ and i want to be able to channel that through my own writing as well. it's the only way to do justice to the source material‚ the only #way to truly pay a tribute to the things that i love.#now that i am free‚ i can finally become more cultured... read more books‚ watch more films‚ inhale old mecha anime... it's what i've always #dreamed of doing #i just need to undo the mental shackles of ''i cannot do this right now''... i can. i finally can. i just need to let my mind catch up to #that. give it a little push along the way #once that's done... the journey begins.#i anguish a lot over the fact that my writing is locked in a tomb for the next decade... but sometimes‚ like now‚ i think‚ hey‚ maybe that #isn't so bad. imagine how many movies you can watch in those ten years... good movies‚ bad ones‚ exceptional ones... i'll have grown so much #as a writer by that point in time because i'll have learned the ''how'' part of what i want to write. i have the ''what'' already‚ and a #general idea of ''how''‚ but... ten years from now‚ i'll be able to write everything in a way that truly makes my eyes shine #a rare moment of me being hopeful for the future... i cherish it as those don't last very long in my life. i more often tend to despair #(cursed be the chemical disbalance!)#but yeah. there is a lot to look forward to despite the hardships. sure it would've been nice to just... have it all here‚ but... that's not #the world i live in. and maybe this one isn't so bad‚ either.#i have my box of scraps. now i just need to make it out of the cave.#the deadliest type of man is one with motivation and a purpose. right?

So pretty ♥♪♫#Sleepy thoughts - I had my Pkmn Diamond/SoulSilver field dex/guides for all of like two months and then they were packed up again #And this was Before the Pokemon burst! Sheesh sheesh #I love my field guide dexes they're so neat and well-made ahh #I have got a couple craft projects still back-burnered - those papercrafts to do with Pokemon are still on the list!#A little Pokedex-notebook is so fun.......And I have Pokemon stickers that I could put in it or on it......ah........#I do want to! I will at some point the energy will return to it eventually #Alright so the main course lol #Went fabric shopping for plushies because yes I Am determined to Make Thing! Another that's been a bit backburnered - but I will!!!#I do still really want to it's turned out pretty good for far :) But while I was shopping!!#We did the usual small talk thing with the store employee like ''Oh what are you buying this for'' that whole back-and-forth #So I explained that I was making plushies and needed the tear-away stabilizer to draw the embroidery outline on #In my head I was being very tempered because while /I/ know that I'm making a Max plushie not many people are familiar with him (wrongly so)#Lol #So we continued and he was like ''Oh cool I've made some patches with embroidery :)'' so I asked of what and he lead with CotL's crown #And then-#Look Zarla's work was Already on my mind with Max as my project I was in a Delicate Way already do you really expect me not to talk about it #The answer was no and he walked away with a Vargas recommendation in his pocket I hope he enjoyed it lol #And I got my fabric and started work on Max's face it's fine it all worked out in the end it's all good it's great lol #I Was encouraged to come back with my finished project so that's on my to-do once I get him in a presentable state haha

All I know about the new descendants movie is osmosis from tumblr and combining that with the media I think of when someone says Alice in Wonderland is making for tbh the movie in my brain is probs very different than what I've heard the new one is like.

And that media is the Royal Ballet's Alice in Wonderland. Its a lovely comic ballet, and my favourite dances are The Mad Hatter's Tea Party (tap! in a ballet! also in this clip played by Steven McRae, who i want to know more about and watch more of his stuff as i have heard good things about from other dancers I know), and the Tart Adage, which is frickin hilarious. (also the way that the King of Hearts just droops around in the background and its like yup. thats Red's dad apparently.)

So uh everyone should watch these clips simply because they're amazing and I love them.
