Despite all the issues with S7, this scene between Morse and Strange is just epic. I love how it showcases Morse’s disillusionment and his kicking over the traces. Let me count the ways (with apologies to Elizabeth Barrett Browning)…

Morse breaking the rules about evidence and case files

Strange telling him off for breaking said rules

Morse absolutely radiating a sense of “leave me alone” along with his usual contempt for rule-followers

And in the background, the escape to a more colorful life that is embodied by Ludo

In many ways, this little scene fully captures Morse’s “Us versus Them” dilemma in a microcosm!

Silly art for a silly moment for a very cool event !!!

The tower off was one of my favourite parts of secret life, truly could NOT make me stop giggling from the first watch to every rewatch. From Mumbos desperation to hold onto first place (and Gems insístance he was wrong) to Pearl trying to sneak her task into unsuspecting players inventories. This episode was the gift that kept on giving!!!

Thanks to @uy8hg for organising this event!! I hope everyone enjoys the silly art of the life series on their dash as I do :D

Y'ever see something and your mind screams "that's so Scooby Doo" at you?

Yeah, I listened to that voice

The absolute hilarity of Skizz and Grian crouching against a wall dead silent as a train of people run past yelling at each other needed the Scooby Doo treatment.

For @brightsideoflifeseries event! Me not drawing this moment when it came out stretched into me actually setting up a whole event and I could not be happier about that.

This is an interesting lineup. I must admit to a personal preference for the entire season nine glow up, which is basically a study in blue, our much loved black emo turtleneck, and the Scottish coat.

He’s also quite adorable in almost everything else he wears, but the overall complete look that sends me running for the vibrator is this. I don’t know if it’s the post-coital smirk, the cigarette, the just-got-laid bop/swagger, the way the coat is falling, the hot AF suit underneath…

Whatever it is, this sends me around the bend every single time I see it. 

Hot.

Welcome to the second edition of Anti-Tux-Tuesday!

Since last week we discussed outfits we'd rather never see again, this week we’ll focus on those that deserve to be remembered forever.

As always, we’ll have both movie costumes and personal outfits. Shall we get started?

The black emo-style turtleneck from season 7 (@librawritesstuff reminded me of it today), paired with that tragic lover’s expression, is just walking sex appeal — or in this case, even sitting!

2. Linen shirt of zen – the light blue shirt (even a bit wrinkled, after all, it’s linen) combined with those auburn curls is simply a very successful composition.

3. The well-known and much-loved blue suit of glow, styled two ways: with a white shirt and a dark shirt. I love both, but I prefer the one with the snug navy shirt of smugness.

4. The check blue coat of confection – impeccable classic style, with a bonus moustache.

5. Another, and I promise the last coat in this line-up, I don’t know what it is about it, but Evans looked fantastic in it.

6. The copper jumper – I know, it might be a controversial choice, but the jumper matched the hair colour perfectly, and Evans just looked adorable.

7. It may just be a simple t-shirt, but you have to admit that Evans has mastered the art of wearing black and white t-shirts to perfection.

8. Handsome boy-next-door look, in jeans and a checked shirt, especially when it's our boy.

9. And the big winner of today’s ranking (as if it wasn’t obvious) – the Boiler Suit of Lust. Is any further comment even necessary…

I’m aware that I’ve probably missed loads of outfits, so please do share your suggestions.

I was gonna focus more on the different funny moments between the two of them (like skizzs unfortunate misspeaking in limited life lmao,) but I ended up changing the composition to focus more on them doing the heart hands :]

We were occupied… during the war. There was a girl. Young girl, daughter of one of our staff. 14? 15? She wore a St Christopher. One of the soldiers, erm… Playing in the woods, I found her body. The marks on her neck were like this. I’m sorry, I have never told anyone that story before. I had forgotten it until I saw that.

Pearl and Martyn’s Iron Song: Bright Side Of The Life Series Piece

My piece for the @brightsideoflifeseries event, based of episode 1 of double life where pearl and Martyn sing a song about iron (artist ramblings under the cut)

so…… I might be a tad late. It may not look it but this piece was REALLY difficult for me to make with the perspectives of the bodies and surprisingly the facial expressions (how do you not make them not look disgusting). I actually had surprisingly a lot of fun with doing the background and shading (though that doesn’t mean it’s gonna be good, I’m letting myself take small victories).

Even though this was really hard for me I’m still glad I decided to participate in this event. Also I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kait (@uy8hg-art) for being so INCREDIBLY lovely to me by willingly going along with my weekly check-ins, giving me really good feedback and just being so wonderfully patient with me! So please follow them they are great (I’m mean you should everyone who participated in this event cause they are amazing but I feel that the organiser should get a special shout out)!
