Hello! Before I ask for this request I just wanted to apologize, I hope I’ll be able to make my requests more organized and shorter, so it’ll be easier to digest! And my time is Eastern Time Zone so yeah!

SAGAU + MODERN!TEEN!READER

Instead of asking for the usual Child!{Reader} who’s technically from another universe and fights monsters, I would like to request one where {Reader} was from our world, but is still around 13-14 years old

Also I would say that {Reader} had just began to play the game, so they would barley understand how the world works when they were Isekai’ed into said game—while panicking at the same time because oh my god they’re in a game—But they have school tomorrow, and their homework!

When {Reader} descends to Teyvat they go through the whole “Oh my god the Creator!” From characters and endless praise, with only confusion on their part—

But while they question their life choices—they also decide to interact more with most of the characters, as they begin to question how this magical world exactly works

Of course people like the Archons were confused on why you seemed like you had forgotten all about your creation of Teyvat and that you came back in the body of a child—though they decided to put off those thoughts for now as they explained Elements like Geo, Pyro, Dendro—you get the idea [though I myself barely know what half of those powers or called or how they work]

I headcannon that in Teyvat—while they seem far advanced despite being thousands of years younger than {Reader}’s world, I feel like in certain areas of study like Medical and Science is often ignored

Of course not fully ignored but is far underdeveloped [Unless I’m completely incorrect than just ignore this whole ask I guess💀] since in Genshin you can easily cook up foods that have odd healing abilities, even to the point of reviving dead people [If we’re sticking to game lore even when {Reader} arrived in Genshin] people have Visions which allow them to wield powers to let them heal or harm things, and this also goes for the statues of ‘The Seven’ that can heal your party

And I would suspect that they wouldn’t know too much info on things like cells, atoms, energy and more [Ex. Water is made up of H2o, but in Genshin water is water and also used for Hydro] or how their Medical equipment would be like as advanced only up to like the 40-60’s in {Reader}’s world, and only have basic medicines and cures—since humans exist in Genshin and they most likely don’t have powers from what I know

So to say the least {Reader} would be confused and questioning everything about Teyvat and how it works

Like when the Archons explained elemental powers {Reader} would question if some powers branch off of others, and if {Reader} accidentally taking it literally—like they think that Electro was actually summoned from the clouds, so they’re like “Oh so Electro is made from Pyro and Anemo?” And when the Archons are like: “?? Wha—“ And {Reader} is gonna be like ‘🤓👆’ “Because thunder is when the lightning channel’s temperature reaches up to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit which immediately after the air cools it down and caused the sound of thunder from the rapid contractions. So Electro would be made from Pyro and Anemo—right?” [Yes I had to look that up to write that, I don’t even know if that’s correct—]

And after that the Archons just look at {Reader} like they’re crazy but also very worried for them

Soon a few characters, who probably are smart—at least in Teyvat they would be considered would approach {Reader} with questions about science and more, thinking that since {Reader} is the Creator they would obviously know more, and would basically treat their knowledge like the greatest gift they’ve ever received

And just imagine a scenario where {Reader} gathers a group of characters [Which you can pick who would want to learn more] who are interested enough in science to want to learn more, as {Reader} pulled out their phone—which somehow teleported with them to Genshin, as they play a YT video about Life Science, and after the video ends the characters are amazed and in awe, as one speaks on how this has to be the most informative piece of film, and how many scientists must have had to research for this video— and {Reader} is just like “This video is made for like 11 year olds to learn” and the characters are like “Wha-“

And a lot of times people like Tighnari [who I think would be interested enough] would spend time with {Reader} by listening them ramble about Life Science

I feel like {Reader} would be really interested in characters who have inhuman characteristics—especially the ones with animal ears and tails

Like when {Reader} first met Kirara they found Kirara’s toe beans adorable, and was amazed by her two tails

And {Reader} would pet Gorou if he let them [Of course he would since {Reader} is the Creator🙄/j]

Aswell as when {Reader} met Sara they were really interested in her wings and asked if they were real and if they worked

And another scenario where it’s late and an Archon[of your choice] goes to the depths of the Avidya Forest where Tighnari resides, since they had dropped {Reader} off there to spend time with him, and they find {Reader} and him in his hut/house, with him sitting on the ground while {Reader} had gloves on and was in the middle of piercing his ears—Tighnari just gives the Archon a little wave, while {Reader} happily talks about putting little ropes in the holes where they pierced his ears so they can go out and get earrings for him tomorrow!

Teen Creator Isekei Adventures

When they see you

Everyone across Teyvat was awaiting the return of their beloved Creator. There were many artist who have drawn depictions of the Creator over the centuries by now they get to see what you look llike. The archons are the ones who will greet you. They weren't expecting a teenager by they can work with it.

The reacts are mixed. Some are filled with joy and don't notice the fact that their God is a teenager, some brush it off, and some are worried/ wondering if it's like how Nahida was born after Rukkhadevata's death. They all notice one thing, and it is that you seem to be freaking out.

Everyone tries to comfort you, and try to figure out why you keep mentioning home work and school, you're a god you know ow everything.

Having world mechanics explained + Life Science

Well, they're a bit worried that you seem to have forgotten that fact that you created everything. So when the archons, shcolars, historians, etc sit you down and explain stuff to you they hope it makes sense. You then hit them with this.

"Oh so Electro is made from Pyro and Anemo?” you ask.

They'll all very confused because what are you talking about and they ask you to explain.

“Because thunder is when the lightning channel’s temperature reaches up to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit which immediately after the air cools it down and caused the sound of thunder from the rapid contractions. So Electro would be made from Pyro and Anemo—right?”

They still don't understand but a few such as Tighnari, Xianyun, Alhaitham, Albedo, Surcorse, Layla, and literally any character who can be affectionately be classified as a nerd.

When you find that your phone, not only came with you but that it also still worked you get an idea.

In the halls of the Akademiya you pull out your phone, go onto YouTube and play the first video you can find about Life Science.

They enjoy it a lot more then you thought they would. Thye all praise how much research went into his amazing piece of film and you responded with.

“This video is made for like 11 year olds to learn”

This confused them but they still enjoyed it, especially Tighnari.

Ears, toe beans, tails, and wings

When you learn Kirara has toe beans, your next course of action is to walk unto her after her work day ends and ask her if you can touch them. She is shocked at first but let's you touch them. Did you know that cat claws are retractable? And that pushing slightly on toe beans causes the class to come out, well you do now. You put a little pressure on Kirar's toe beans to watch her claws go in and out. Then you ask her if you can touch her ears and tail, to which she lets you. She blushes as you fawn over her two tails. She also tries to answer your questions about how she has two tails.

Gorou would blush a bit when you ask if you can pet his ears. Under his tough general facade he is a good boy it needed headpats. He blushes the whole time you pet his ears. When you get close to his tail though... in the words of Kuzco.

"No touchy! no touchy! no touch."

He keeps his tail away from you. It's very sensitive and he just doesn't like people touching his tail.

While expressionless on the outside, Sara smiles on the inside everything you fawn over her wings and ask her many questions about them. She doesn't mind you asking questions, but she doesn't let you touch them.

Adventures in the Avidya Forest feat. Tighnari

After your Life Science stunt in the Akademiya Tighnari was genuinely curious about you knowledge, because he is a curious fox boy.

The archons think you need to de social in order to grow into a well rounded god. Well, at least Nahida thought so. When your life science stunt was over Tighnari asked if you would like to come to Gandharva Ville with him.

You said yes and he let your rant about life science. Now everyone you go to Sumeru it is a priority to visit Toghnari. The archons thought this friendship was cute while some people were jealous.

One day Zhongli dropped you off at Tighnari's and told you two to have fun. You two were having the best time two people could have. As night came Zhongli went to puck you up. He walked in and saw you, with gloves, trying times piece Tighnari's ears. Tighnari waves at Zhongli. Zhongli sighs and tells you it's time to go home. You say no and that you need to finish Tighnari's ears. Zhongli offers to let Tignari stay the night with you two, and then will help him find a good place for ear piercing. You both agree and have an awesome sleep over.

I'm not sure if either of these pookies would say "I love you" because romantic, erotic, platonic, and/or other forms of love didn’t exist in the language the same way they do in our times? Like, if someone knows more about this please correct me, but I’m under the impression that these people would express their love and dedication in other ways.

He might say “I would kill Hades himself to get you back from the dead,” for example, or “I would suffer years of famine if only I could suffer it with you” etc. And even then our poor big Minotaur would have to possess socialized norms & knowledge of these things, what to say to a woman to let her know he absolutely worships her. And “love” between a man and a woman wasn’t considered quite as ideal as love and companionship between men, so these two will receive odd stares wherever they go for being so open about their affection and dedication to each other. Like, have the gods cursed these two with soft heads? 🤨 Why are they acting like children?

for me, when i study in a group or with friends, i almost always get off topic… unfortunately i love chitchatting and i’m a bit scatterbrained, so i bring up all sorts of random things and can get us wayyy off track in seconds!! 🫢

so if you’re someone like me, you probably just want to do yourself (and others) a favor and study alone 😋

that being said, for a lot of people, working in groups is actually positive!

some of the benefits can be:

• you can get help from others as soon as questions come up

• explaining topics to other can help you deepen understanding

• you and your group can pool your knowledge, study topics, and quiz/ test each other with your combined info

• working with other ppl can keep you accountable and prevent you from getting off topic

to form study groups i suggest:

• ask any friends you have in the class

• ask the people who sit near you in the class

• if you have a class discord, ask if anyone’s interesting in starting a study group

• post on the class discussion board (if you have one) and say you’re wanting to start a study group

• go to office hours and ask the classmates there if they want to study together, since they’re probably people who want to get high grades

• if you get assigned to a group project/ partner, ask them if they want to study together for other class assignments

When Adaine goes to the court of stars, I found something peculiar in Brennan’s description of the interior of the place. He mentions how in the center of the room, there’s a MASSIVE rose that is surrounded by shimmering, indigo-purple energy. Who in this entire franchise has been associated with those colors and Brennan ALWAYS described their magic/aura having that same vibe?

WHAT IF the timeless rose in the court of stars is one of the few remaining items that has some of Cassandra’s essence?

But that’s not the end of it. The rose is described a huge rose, right? You could even say it’s GIANT sized. If my phrasing wasn’t obvious enough, I think the rose might’ve had a deeper meaning/connection for both Ankarna and Cassandra. I googled it, and it’s said that roses usually bloom around early spring and late autumn. This means that PEAK rose blooming season could possibly be summer. Ankarna’s domain.

So there’s a possibility (or better said a hunch) that a possible old gift amongst these two forgotten and corrupted deities is in Fallinel. But considering the fact that a monument about the wedding is in Fallinel, I wouldn’t be surprise if the flower in question is what remains of a bridal bouquet (roses are traditionally associated with love and are a popular bouquet options for weddings…👀). But we’ll see if anything will from this crazy observation of mine.

Who’s Fig’s REAL daddy, really?

I know this might seem like a bit, but I think it’s one worth thinking about. Usually Tieflings are just descendants of one mortal being and an infernal being. To my knowledge (and I encourage any DND buffs to fact check me on this), Tieflings can pop-up in a family tree as long as ONE of the bio parents has infernal blood or ancestry in them.

Now, why does this have to do with Fig’s bloodline? Gilear even stated in sophomore year that him and Sandra Lynn weren’t having bedroom fun before fig came along. Well I’ll bring you this question as a rebuttal: If Gilear was always aware to some degree about Fig not being his, how did Sandra Lynn get away with that lie for MANY years?

My theory is that Sandra Lynn originally didn’t know WHO fathered Fig since (and I’m just spit balling here) she probably had adult fun with Gilear shortly after Gortholax (probably due to guilt and making sure Gilear didn’t catch on to the cheating) and basically decided to wing it and after Fig started growing her horns didn’t hesitate to consider Gortholax the father. BUT WHAT ABOUT GILEAR’S DEMONIC BLOODLINE?! We recent learned Gilear is a descendant of Backur and we know that the curse attached to the Feith family is past on to the eldest of the family to the oldest of their children.

What if Gilear IS Fig’s bio dad AND that Fig being a Tiefling was because of Gilear being a descendant of Backur?!

Tbh this is a theory I’m only 65% sold on, since I’m not sure my DND knowledge is correct or if Brennan’s world even operates under those same rules. But it’s fun to think about.

Kipperlilly, the rat grinders, and Ankarna?!

I know that the season is leading up to a final confrontation between both of these adventuring parties, but here’s the fun question to ask:

WHY? Why the FUCK are these nerds SO determined to have the Bad Kids eat shit?

Very simple answer. Conquests. ✨ACADEMIC✨ Conquest. We know the rat grinders are basically exp farmers and (in many ways) are dark parallels to many of the Bad Kids own party members (Buddy and Kristen, Ruben and Fig, Oshin and Adaine, etc.). And we’ve seen how salty they are (Cunt-head Bitch face, especially) at how the Bad Kids (despite many of them not taking their academics seriously) are able to achieve things the Rat Grinders think THEY deserve. And who was recently revealed as a goddess of Conquest? Ankarna.

But HOW would the Rat Grinder’s know about Ankarna?! Well… remember Lucy?

Lucy’s death is very much hinted to be caused by the other members of her party (tho, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s revealed that it was someone else, most likely Kalina). But WHY did Lucy die?!

What if Lucy was trying to pull a similar stunt that Kristen pulled in sophomore year? After all we know Lucy wanted to switch gods and the name on the paper for that switch within the school was blank. Kinda like the god’s name wasn’t found or couldn’t be said…like Ankarna. I 1,000% believe that Lucy was trying to bring the uncorrupted version of Ankarna back (similar to how Kristen brought Cassandra back from her Nightmare King form). How she found out about Ankarna is a whole entire debate (maybe from her original goddess or through research, we’ll find out what more episodes released) but we are left with one MASSIVE question:

WHY DID THE RAT GRINDERS KILL LUCY?! What could they possibly gain from killing their friend?! Well…what if the rat grinders didn’t want Ankarna uncorrupted?

Afterall, Ankarna’s corrupted domain (that of conquest, rage, and dominating over others) fits better with Kipperlilly’s need to be the best at the school. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rat grinders’ end goal is to use Ankarna’s corrupted domain to help them (mostly Kipperlilly) win the elections.

After all, Cunt-head Bitch-Face did make it VERY clear from the beginning that her goal is to see the Bad Kids get what they deserve (which is expulsion) for their lack of academic integrity; and, for her party (the group that has been doing things by the book this entire time) to get what THEY deserve. Absolute power over the school.

Those are all my theories! PLEASE share your thoughts. And remember, it’s Just a theory… A DIMENSION 20 THEORY!!!

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the qsmp entity rooms, but the way I chose my little entity thingy was based off of how comfy each room seemed to be.

So I’m gonna do a tierlist of the rooms from Least Cozy to Most Cozy, because I am a master of interior design

5. Blood

This doesn’t look cozy at ALL!! The colors are gorgeous and all, and I like the lanterns, but the devil kinda ruins the vibes for me ngl. He’d be the WORST roommate, and the whole room looks way too Meat for my tastes. Absolute sensory nightmare, no way

4. Energy

I love blue and purple, and I’m a maximalist at heart, but the pregnancy viruses are a Huge no for me. I like how chaotic everything is, but it also stresses me out IMMENSELY and I know that I’d just spend all my time sorting things out and evening the walls and stuff

So this one doesn’t count because you can’t connect to it or whatever, but it’s the one that reminds me a lot of my own dream bedroom, so it gets a spot right in the middle to make things fair

I don’t even know why Don Roberto even made that stupid contest of who makes a better business proposal (or whatever they had to do). He should’ve thought about who keeps the presidency years ago. And it should’ve involved both Armando and Daniel working as vice-presidents and see who does a better job for Ecomoda. That’s a better way for them to prove themselves plus it would’ve prevented them to be shoved in a high position of power without any knowledge of how the company works. That is what would’ve happened if Daniel had taken over the presidency. I don’t understand how Don Roberto would’ve been comfortable with Daniel being president while he knows nothing about the company. He only knows how to receive a check. At least Armando knew what he was getting himself. If anything Don Roberto would’ve had to stay and teach Daniel everything!

Now that I think about it how did Don Roberto have no faith in Armando? Armando was vice president, knew what it takes to be a president, knows how the company works, is an industrial engineer, knows about the machines, knows how clothes are made, gets along with the employees, considers the work conditions of the employees (reason why he wanted to upgrade the machines), he even wants to take risks to improve Ecomoda, etc. his only weakness is that he’s not that knowledgeable about economics/finance (which he can obviously hire someone to help him) and he’s immature IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE! His immaturity does not involve his work life so why is that even taken into consideration ?! or am I missing something? Like bro have more faith is your son! He’s proven himself more so than Daniel! What does Daniel have under his sleeve? Yea he’s good with economy and finance but that’s about it. If anything Armando is well rounded and shouldn’t even had to compete with Daniel.

I have a feeling Don Roberto actually wanted to give Daniel Ecomoda but tried to not hurt Armando’s feelings, it’s just that he didn’t expect Marcela to go against her brother. So to that I have to applaud Marcela. Also I feel like in this scene Marcela is not only calling out Daniel but Don Roberto as well.🙌🏼

marlene mckinnon? nearly four decades older than the marauders, and went to school with mr mort. perfect student, just like him, and became an unspeakable after graduating. taught DADA in the marauders’ second year but quit in march bc she hates children not on her own (she ended up adopting three with her wife, and they were the only ones she could tolerate—still pleased when they finally became functional adults). mentored the marauders when they joined the order and found them very annoying. death eaters assassinated her and her entire family during a birthday weekend by making ppl unable to exit and then setting fire to it.

abraxas malfoy was not an original death eater. he despised voldemort because he thought voldemort was ridiculing the pureblood movement (and he was right). was entirely unaware that lucius was pumping his allowance into the war machine, and lost his shit when the kid showed up with a dark mark and an order for arrest. regardless, he was a fun and sweet grandfather to draco and it’s a good thing he passed before voldemort showed up at malfoy manor and gave draco the mark as well.

you can do SO MUCH with these characters and the limited information canon gave us. make them as uninteresting or interesting as you like. they are not set characters. fanon is ideally diverse in ideas, and certainly not a rule. you can play with them SO much.

the only thing i ask is to not make every character “”cool”” and “”edgy”” because humans are just not like that 😭 some people are just boring. you can make your meow meow boring or awful, i promise like regulus as an absolute, despicably racist dickhead who was simultaneously incredibly boring

NARRATOR: (walks on stage) Ladies, Gentlemen, and the random bee that will torment the audience for the majority of this show, welcome to my universe. (the lights will focus on each character as they’re mentioned) Today, we follow the literal face of chaos (JAMES looks up and waves, not a single thought behind his eyes), a troubled princess (MARION does a small but humble curtsy), the “heartthrob” (QUINN winks and points finger guns at the audience)(beat) Okay, don’t ask me, I was given ten dollars to say that. OLLIE: (While the conversation continues, OLLIE exits the line of adventurers and starts picking flowers behind the group to make a bouquet)

NARRATOR: Wow, it’s like I'm not even here. (they walk around the stage in between the people as they continue arguing [as the next lines are being said]. The narrator exits the stage after they walk around each person)

OLLIE: (completely clueless) You guys, look what I made! (she happily shows her creation)

QUINN: Oh, for me? Thanks, sugar 😉

MYLAH: (grabs the flowers) let me see those. (she examines the flowers and gasps) Ollie, this is a very rare spider lily! Not a lot of these grow! You can’t just pick them!

MYLAH: (sighs) I forgive you. I understand that not everyone has the same knowledge as me when it comes to flowers. (she gives the bouquet back to OLLIE)

NARRATOR: (off stage) What if that flower was poisonous?

OLLIE: (screams and drops the flowers)

NARRATOR: (chuckles) Wow, you guys will really fall for anything.

OLLIE: (comically furious) You’re actually so annoying. I hope you fall in a ditch somewhere in the middle of night and accidentally EAT a poisonous flower-

JAMES: Okay, okay, why don’t we calm down a wee bit? (he pulls Ollie in for a hug and pats her on the head)

MARION: (annoyed and disgusted) Okay, while you two... LOVEBIRDS do your thing, we have something much more important on our hands. We NEED to have a plan on how we’re going to look for the enchanted necklace of spotify.

CARRAN: Marion, you’re always SO desperate to get things done. Why can’t you sit back, and just… enjoy the environment around you?

MYLAH: I second that.

QUINN: (looking around) I do suppose it’s very pretty here. But not as pretty as you. (they turn around and wink at MYLAH)

MYLAH: (Trying to hide her flustration) Oh, won’t you stop. (She swats her hand playfully)

MARION: Can everybody stop flirting with each other for one minute!?

CARRAN: (Proudly) I wasn’t flirting.

MARION: We all know why, Carran. You’re not confident enough to flirt.

CARRAN: (registers the insult, but doesn’t respond verbally)

JAMES: (Now out of the hug with Ollie) Do any you have a map? Ollie and I want to know how close we are to a flower shop.

MARION: I do!

MYLAH: Can I see it?

(MARION unrolls the map and holds it out. CARRAN jumps in and cuts the map into two with their sword.)

MARION: What was that for?

CARRAN: Do we REALLY need a map? Why can’t the adventure guide us instead?

MARION: You are insufferable.

OLLIE: How are we going to navigate this without a map? What if we get lost? Or get eaten? Or poisoned? Or lost? Wait, I already said lost. (she puts her head in her hands, continuing to fret)

MAROIN: (rolling her eyes) See what you did? (she quickly pulls out her wand and the map is fixed immediately)

CARRAN: Well, you fixed it.

MYLAH: How about we try to be safer, Carran?

CARRAN: (after taking a bit to think about it) Perchance.

MARION: (rolls her eyes) Alright, here’s the map. What path are we thinking?

JAMES: (pointing to a spot on the map) We should take this one because there’s a flower shop along it.

OLLIE: YES! LET’S DO THAT ONE!

MARION: No, we can’t take that route! That’s the long way! We don’t have enough time to take it! We need to take THIS one!

CARRAN: And cross right through that troll patch? No thank you!

MARION: So what do you propose we do? Take the long way and find that someone has already taken the necklace? If people know that we’re out looking for it, they’ll start looking for it too.

CARRAN: We could just… not mention the necklace to anybody other than ourselves?

MARION: (facepalms) Carran, how STUPID can you be to think that we’re the only people that actually know about the necklace? Also, what kind of fighter are you that you’re afraid of trolls?

CARRAN: What kind of sorcerer are YOU that you don’t cast a spell on all of us to just do whatever you say?

MARION: My magic teachers didn’t exactly teach me how to do that.

MYLAH: Okay, may I interject this? Why don’t we break up into teams of two? We could cover more ground that way. I’ll go with Quinn.

OLLIE: And I’ll go with James!

JAMES: Yeah!

CARRAN: I am NOT pairing up with Marion!

MARION: And there’s NO WAY I’m pairing with Carran!

Given the setting and nature of SHY, he sort of has to be into video games. He also reads a fair amount, specifically horror of all kinds. However he does not enjoy horror movies and prefers action/thriller movies.

Given that Abel is fifteen and lives in the woods, where he’s being homeschooled, there’s sorta your answer there.

Abel listens to mainly Rock and Grunge, but occasionally EDM as well. He owns an electric guitar but doesn’t know how to play.

Abel’s love of horror and action is an expression of his cowardice, because of the numerous deeply-held phobias that he has. He should probably see a therapist, but again. Middle of the fucking woods.

Like actually it would be really hard to list them, so I’ll just go with two: Abel can override reality with itself by refusing to believe a particular reality warping ability happened, essentially causing it to not have happened. Wanna cast fireball on him? You can’t do that, he doesn’t believe in it.

Second, is that he has an invisible circle around him at a 25 foot radius, that when enemies step outside of it in combat, he can teleport in front of them.

I don’t think Abel’s good at cooking but I don’t think he’s bad either. Like he could probably bake a potato. Which isn’t a high benchmark but. It’s a benchmark.

Knowing how jittery Abel is, he probably downs like 6 or 7 energy drinks a day. I’m not sure if he even tastes them.

I’m not sure I need to answer this with all the other stuff I’ve got. He probably cracks his knuckles a lot though. That’s not that quirky.

Oh emotional for sure. Mostly fear.

Quiet. In social situations, he’s usually too shy to open up, and it takes a while. Given that he starts as an antagonist.

😓 — is your oc open-minded or stubborn? are they inquisitive or do they prefer to keep to their bubble of knowledge?

Stubborn as hell, not even a little curious.

😞— does your oc attract others, or do they tend to be left alone?

Well, he’d LOVE to be left alone, but given that he’s a minor antagonist and in charge of a significant location in the plot, people won’t leave him the hell alone.

I’m still kinda confined to bed so I’m gonna talk about some mobies I watched recently!!

dashcam: so the way this was described by reviewers that i follow was like “protagonist is awful, horror is great,” and yeah that about sums it up! but like I said in my post that kinda makes the horror work for me bc im like yes please bad things should happen to bad people. I would say im sure she’s very lovely in real life but like i think the point is that she is not. I would watch it again.

disenchanted: this movie was uhhh kinda bad!! bad writing, especially the song lyrics, I actually could do an autopsy of this bc I turned into That Bitch tm while watching it like 🤓 um actually these are plot holes but idk it didn’t, hmm how to put this, respect its audience I guess? I have large reserves of WSOD but there was no internal consistency to what we were working with. that aside it LOOKED gorgeous, the FITS in this my god, everybody was stunning at all times

falling for christmas aka the lindsay lohan christmas movie: like, I think most people going into this film know what they’re about to get and as long as you stand by those expectations you won’t be disappointed. except why was santa there, why was he real, and why was he so creepy, what was that all about, somebody needed to tell whoever thought that was a good idea that they were wrong about that and probably a lot of other things in life I have to believe!!!!! we stan tad tho. what a weird little twink.

the last broadcast: this was a movie Ryan hollinger was covering and it’s free on tubi so I was like all right heck yeah I’ll go watch that then come back and it’s a pretty wild ride! It’s a found footage that predates Blair witch by a couple years and I don’t think it’s as good as Blair witch but it’s not what you expect. like I very much appreciate what they were going for here and I think I’m gonna watch it again soon. kinda camp but with found footage production idk if that makes sense.

the McPherson tape/ufo abduction (the 1989 one): another found footage that Ryan covered that is free on pluto! pluto the app not pluto the dwarf planet you don’t have to go that far. the tension in this movie feels real!! this is real stressed family gathering energy. also I just like found footage i am an easy sell.

pearl: this movie is very different to x!! but I liked it a lot it is very very good. not super scary, the tension in that scene near the end is killer tho. more of a character study than a standard slasher like x was. also very stylized in a cool way like it really evokes of all things wizard of oz which is deliberate to my knowledge. just a good movie and mia goth is so incredibly talented. looking forward to maxine!!!

spy x family: not a movie but i did binge it over a couple days and i have no regrets. do people have good fic to hand, im going to go looking, I need for them to KISS ALRSADY GOD

cabinet of curiosities: not a movie either but do yourself a favor and just watch it. i know I like anthologies more than the average person but this is guillermo del toro-curated! and he introduces every episode and director so you get to see him! eight episodes. go do it.

I also did a rewatch of the happy death days with Phil those are such a delight im glad I could share them 🤗 and a rewatch of till death bc it slaps.
