They really tried to make us swallow 5,391,782 problems in the span of 38 minutes while everything feeling so plastic and rehearsed but also so out of characters...

I can understand Marcela’s hate for Betty for being Armando’s mistress and taking part in a fraud (although she hated her long before she knew about that and I don’t buy the bs about femenine intuition), but the argument she was right to hate her for covering up Armando’s affairs doesn’t fly when we take into account that Mario did the same and she didn’t have the same energy for him. Marcela hated her because she was “ugly”, because of her status and because Armando confided in her and trusted her. She couldn’t expect Betty, a woman in precarious financial situation, to snitch on her boss, the only one that had given her a chance and had hired her despite her looks. It’s appalling how people, particularly women, bend over backwards to defend and justify abuse and violence toward another woman because of ARMANDO’s affairs.

I think the theory of Betty turning "ugly" again so Armando will stop loving her is totally valid because when she and Armando had the affair phase it was in secret places, they never showed affection in public (except for the fight en El Meson) but if y'all stop to think, he never showed her as gf in public. Of course we know Armando loved her since before her transformation, but I think that unconsciously Betty thinks that her ugly self will drove him away.

That's why Armando says that everything she's been doing (being ugly again) to drove him away has the opposite effect (because he feel in love with her because of her soul, not because of her appearance.)

So yup, I'm praying that the "I'm back to be ugly" again is just a phase and in the ending, Betty finds a mix between her old self and the "new" Betty so she can find peace with her self image as she grows older.

And WHY a mix?

I like to use the Brazilian!Betty for example. She starts the telenovela with the known ugly look, but in the middle of the story, she suffers an assassination attempt and since the agency (Brazilian!Ecomoda) is in bankruptcy and the assassin's are still out there and could recognize her (it's a long story to explain) so she disguises as another woman, a beautiful one. She does all her transformation. (GISELLE ITIÉ WHY YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL?)

Anyways, we can see that BR!Betty is kinda annoyed with her new look and doesn't seem to "fit" on it, so when she's out, she's "beautiful", but when she's in her house, she uses some of her old clothing, glasses and is barefoot.

So, after she can go free and she marries BR! Armando, she appears with a mixed look. She was glasses, capul, but she still has a makeup on and her hair is in a different color who does match her color skin. So that's why a mixed look on Betty would be fine for me.

If they keep the ugly!Betty for the sake of nostalgia then I don't want it. Because I felt none when I saw milf!Betty with her previous look.

The heavy projection from the writers on Betty is crazy.

" I THINK that don Hermes was a bad husband and father, so BETTY will spend almost all of her screen time with him or talking about him highlighting this, regardless of how often Betty said in the original that her dad was the most sacred thing in her life."

"I THINK Armando would be classist towards Betty's family because he's rich, so BETTY will be angry about this even though it was very clear in the original novela that Betty didn't think this and Armando actually preferred don Hermes' parties over his family's"

"I THINK Betty should have felt empowered looking the way she did before the change even though it's extremely clear it was all conformist due to feeling unable to be or have something better due to a lifetime of bullying and that changing was a physical repesentation of her self steem becoming better, so BETTY will claim that going back to the appearence she didn't like is due to empowerment."

"I THINK Betty would have prioritized work and made it the central thing in her life even though the original Betty was 100% a family girl who dreamed of LOVE, so BETTY will claim that she conentrated too much on work and have a broken relationship with her fam."

"I THINK Betty shouldn't give Armando the chance to explain anything, even though in the original she WAITED FOR MONTHS for him to confess the truth abojt the Letter, so BETTY will immediately proceed to divorce him."
