I need you to understand that basically within 5 minutes of me realizing Viktor would be good yandere material at least for the kinds of things I like, a little voice in my brain was going, "yeah and if you wanted to, you could include his jock boyfriend as a 2 for 1 deal!"

Arcane is another one of those things where I haven't fully officially sat down to consume it BUT it became so huge that it was all over YouTube and yt shorts. Yt shorts are AGGRESSIVE when it decides it wants to start feeding you something. Apparently it's convinced I would really like Doctor Who and keeps showing me scenes from like three specific episodes?

But yeah my algorithm was feeding me tons of Arcane content, and then I started watching specific scenes and listening to the music, and I essentially have a pretty good vague overall grasp of the plot, like, in its full entirety from jinx and silco, to the tea party, Ekko leaping through time, Mel getting those Extremely Aesthetic gold stripes. I've wanted to watch it in its entirety, though? I can probably easily pirate it from somewhere

I admit I'm a fake bisexual on how extremely off and on and specific my tastes in women can be so I'm not sure if Vi or Cait are really growing on me from romantic/sexual standpoints, but 👀 Ambessa is definitely uh 👀 you know I have a type for the taller ones that make me feel small and helpless and she's definitely 👉👈 tough and scary and domineering 👉👈 her checking out that younger guy and then just smiling to her daughter "I'm off to sample the local cuisine" like.... queen shit fr

But yeah over the last year I've been recovering from a fall at work that kinda fucked up my knee and I've been having to do PT and I've gained a deeper soft spot for specific characters and plot lines involving disability, either a yandere caring for a disabled darling, or you both being disabled, or things along those lines. Viktor's own journey from a sickly young boy unable to chase after his toy to a young man curing himself and immediately sprinting for the first time in his life, it's all very, personal now. I mean I always apparently had a disability I was born with and didn't know about until my 20s, but especially now that my knee gets in the way of activities sometimes.

I can just picture like... oh you're just this poor mousy little thing from the Undercity who bumps into him for whatever reason and he sees you have a cane just like him, or maybe you're too poor for even a cane and have some sort of improvised walking stick, and he just immediately empathizes with your situation. Like i have several ideas but I can just picture, stereotypical "we were both lost in thought and collided and we went around the corner" and you get knocked over and Viktor recognizes the fear in your eyes as you look him over, from his clean clothes to maybe even his companion Jayce being there, fearing you're going to be punished or harmed, clearly accustomed to the violence of the slums. Viktor sees himself in you as you're clearly realizing your situation and how easily you could be hurt given that they have not just power but privilege over you

Both of them taking pity on you because, oh you poor thing, how awful it must be for you to have such little help for your condition. Are you hurt from the fall just now? Let them help you out as an apology for knocking you down. Do you need a cane that's fitted properly? What about a stabilizing brace for your leg. You have hip and back problems too? The two scientists are practically drafting up schematics for all sorts of proposed solutions within the hour--

On one hand I'm like "oh what if they encourage and help you get a better education because you show promise" and then im like "but what if they think it's cute how little you know as someone from the Undercity who didn't get a decent education and they like how much you have to rely on them and ask them for things"

Viktor being against ableism without realizing he's doing it to you by subconsciously infantalizing you over your vulnerable state with not just your physical disability but if you're also potentially neurodivergent as well, whereas Jayce infantalizes you for being this :) little cute. dumb. poor. low born little thing :)

They find out you live in some absolutely dingey shitty fucking place or somewhere straight up unsafe and they're immediately just, really kind of refusing to let you stay there anymore? Just strong-arming you, "b-but I live here--" "not anymore" "no" "absolutely not" "we can hire movers, it's fine" "but-" "you'll like being somewhere new, relax"

Some scenario where they, move you into a new place to live, suddenly you've got access to all these things you didn't before, bathing regularly, new clothes, full meals, safety, mental stimulation, purpose and labor but without the desperation and fear. You can exit your building and jog around the neighborhood without fear. But, the control over so much of that rests within THEIR hands. One or both of them pays for your housing. Perhaps you even share many of your meals in their direct company. Do you have new medications they helped you obtain? Do your new mobility aids need some tweaking every now and again? Do they help provide EVERYTHING for you 'just until you get on your feet' and then stand in your way every single time you try to do something that would bring you closer to that goal?

No no, don't worry about paying them back for everything they're paying for, they're doing it out of the goodness of their hearts :) no no, you don't need to get a job right away! Or, at all ever again maybe, like wouldn't that be so funny haha, just kidding lol, unless????? :) ha ha, oh my gosh that's just so silly, they told you to take advantage of living in this nice neighborhood they moved you into that's near them and told you to enjoy your life and it's just so wacky and silly and crazy but you did exactly just that and you've been doing fun stuff but with other people and not them haha that's so weird? :) don't worry if they keep acting like there's still stuff they need to help you look out for and help protect you from even after moving you into this little situation where they already hold all the power, I'm sure it's totally fine? :) oh wow they caught you out at a bar or something getting friendly with a guy and one of them just outright refers to you as disabled and accuses the guy of exploiting you somehow, wow isn't that so quirky, they're just having a boy-moment lol? :) honey they just want to make sure no one hurts you and that's why it's completely 300% justified they put a tracker in the special leg brace that they designed that helps you move around every day :)

whaaaaaaat, you think they're being creepy? Well, sweetheart, with the life you've lived in the Undercity, they can see how you might come to THINK you believe that, but that doesn't mean it's true :) you're just so used to living in the danger and the dirt and the grime that you're not used to being safe, and they can understand that, and they're here to help you through the adjustment process of, your new life :) permanantly :) never going back to the Undercity :) staying with your new male companions :) and maybe marrying one or even both of them :) they know best, so trust them! :)

ok, so, this is my first time being in a big fandom that isn’t like dead, in a WHILE. Safe to say, I forgot how toxic and draining it can be. Like I’m just trying to enjoy things I like and hang out with people who just wanna vibe. But like all the mis-tagged posts and the yelling at each other (mostly over shipping) is just so tiring. I don’t post much, if at all, but like I just need to say something at this point.

I’m a shipper. I love shipping. But omg can we stop trying to kill each other!? Like maybe it’s cause I’m a multi-shipper, but like Ive never understood shipping wars or hating on other ships. For example I don’t like Zaundads (nothing against Zaundads shippers), it’s not my thing, I personally see them as brothers because they are meant to be parallels for Vi and Jinx. But that doesn’t mean I go out of my way to bother Zaundads shippers when they’re doing nothing but enjoying their ship!! Like I was happy for them that they got more content in 2x07! And if for whatever reason you really just CANT..just block it…don’t make that someone else’s problem…?

And the Christian Linke thing. I will admit, at first I was heated too. As an ace person who’s favorite ship is MelJayVik (at first just JayVik but the pipeline swallowed me lol) I didn’t like that part of my identity was being used to invalidate or villainize something I like. However, looking more into the situation has calmed me down a bit, especially seeing how aggressive people are being. Yes, I think Viktor being ace was implemented weirdly and could’ve been handled better. But that doesn’t make Christian some spiteful, evil, homophobic, SoB. Like…could he have revealed it sooner or made it more upfront in the show? Sure. But I think treating him like the devil for that discredits how important he was to the making of Arcane and how hard he fought it in the first place. Like it’s fine to be mad at him, or disagree but, remember, he’s just a guy. A person; we can very easily forget that online.

It just feels like every time I show up to this fandom, I’ll be happy one minute and grimacing as people argue the next. Like I know one post from a rando who never posts anything isn’t gonna stop fandom toxicity. But like can we just all chill out for a minute and think about what you’re arguing about. We all love this show…so why are we yelling at each other..we are the same thing different font fr fr lol. Like I’m just tired at people yelling at each other for…having a good time..? Enjoying what they enjoy…? Existing?

I finished arcane s2 yall. Arcane was jayvik all along. The plot was always jayvik I never even shipped a jayvik. I had caitvi tunnel vision for the longest time I had no other ship. Until Viktor started talking about “affection” holding them together like 🤨

Bro the arcane finale has me so gagged. Like everyone’s either mad or sobbing at this ending but my brain just couldn’t compute half of what happened. Not in a good or bad way I’m so confused I’m gonna have to watch so many video essays.

My overall opinions on arcane s2 is similar to how I feel about the second half of Death Note. Objectively yeah the first 25 eps are peak but a lot of ppl act as if Death Note went to shit in its final stretch. When yeah it downgraded but it’s still great. I definitely think this season hit me harder than s1 like I was on the verge of tears several times. All the stuff surrounding Vander hurt my everything.

I’m not in the fandom so I didn’t have too much expectations going in. I’m not writing think pieces about the politics going on between Piltover and Zaun (though I am very perplexed by its “resolution”). Haven’t even rewatched s1 in two years I’m just a casual viewer guys.

I don’t think this season is as bad as some things I’ve heard ppl say. Again it’s like a Death Note situation, I think comparing it to its previous self makes it seem worse. But like even my least fav ep of this series is still a pretty good episode of television. Definitely visual wise, shoutout to all the animators this season looked unreal. Buying that artbook when I can fr.

vi is a VERY CLOSE second. i absolutely ADORED her character. she lowkey reminds me of myself fr, willing to do anything and everything for the ones she loves. i have an older brother who has autism and would DIE for that mf fr! i really loved how even though she was frustrated with jinx… she never really gave up on her… in my eyes at least.

…now… jayce i’m not gonna lie.. he’s position on this list is a SHOCK to me. i was a jayce HATER all throughout the show! mainly because i was jealous with the way he got the baddest bitch in the show mel.. YES IM A HATER! but chileee… when he popped back up with beard… SUMN WAS PURRING 🤪 i’m a slut for mean with beards.

mel, mel, mel… when she first popped up on my screen I was deadass stunned with how stunning that woman was! then when she first started getting with jayce i was like: 🤨😕. i couldn’t believe it. i was also definitely one of those people who shipped her with sevika even though those two NEVER interacted. but yeah her aura was so strong she had me hating jayce. WHEN SHE UNLOCKED HER POWERS OH MY GOD I WAS SCREAMING AND JUMPING FOR JOY! baddest bitch. 😌

sevika was definitely someone else who caught my attention when the show first started! i thought she was THE COLDEST mf they introduced! even when she betrayed vander i was upset a bit, but also at the same time… i supported it??? because she just wants the best for her people! i was literally so pissed she kept getting that vegeta treatment tho… LIKE COME ON!

NOW the only reason ekko is so low on this list is because… most of the people above him they got EXTRA POINTS because i’m attracted to them! ekko is honestly so adorable and just the goat fr! that’s my son fr! little man when he was so small 🥹 MY SON!!! i was having heart palpitations when him, hiemerdinger, and jayce where glitching out during the wild runes scene! the reason jinx is where she is on this list is literally the same as ekko’s! jinx and ekko idk how they are so that’s an immediate “you’re my child and if anything happens to you, i’ll kill everyone.” jinx was also one of them characters that deadass HAD ME DYING! the scene with enforcer not believing she’s jinx, when silco was calling for her but she was too busy jamming, when she jumped sevika and tied her up, asking her sister if her caitlyn fucked before she killed them, almost crashing out when viktor called her powder… THE LIST GOES ON! she an icon, a legend, and she is the moment! 😌

ambessa she had me in the first half, like when she was first introduced! i’m pretty sure if she didn’t end up being an opp… she would definitely be higher on the list! the only thing ambessa got going for her rn is she’s hot! After putting it off for so long, finally started season two! Compiling my liveblogs here so I don’t spam my followers lol

The counselors piss me off honestly. The only ones I have sympathy for are Mel and MAYBE Jayce (Viktor and Caitlyn aren’t part of the council so they don’t count) mfs attack zaun 1000 times but when zaun fights back suddenly they’re horrible creatures.

Oh thank god Vi didn’t accept the enforcer badge just yet. I know she eventually becomes one due to game osmosis, but I think she needs to change too much for the worse for that to happen. And she doesn’t feel like that yet.

Yess, give me rebel yuuri! It’s important to remember that Yuuri’s only 23ish years old and the youngest sibling, he is *absolutely* gonna do something stupid like break into (he was given a key) ice castle. Yuuko catches them, but not before he tells Yurio stories about reckless dumb things he and Phichit got up to back in Detroit. If yurio didn’t think Yuuri was badass before, he sure as shit does now!

Also, Omigosh, YES, a sleep deprived yuuri is a pork cutlet bowl without a filter, and yurio absolutely revels in Yuuri’s wit and even savagery. Though that revelry can turn into horror when Viktor’s recently discovered degradation kink gets involved! Poor guy.

I like to think about how Agape and Eros have helped Yuri and Yuuri with their interpersonal and internal relationships too. in the original timeline, Yuri thought deeply about what unconditional love looked like for him and realized that it was the love he felt for his grandpa Nikolai, and Yuuri found a self confidence and self attunement in his performance of “the most beautiful woman out there.” And I think that builds onto the question: What impacts would this reversal have on the two?

Which brings me to the point of why I think it would be an interesting reversal for yurio: this would be an opportunity for him to explore what Eros means to him, and since I headcanon him as aromantic asexual, I think that could be a truly fascinating character arc! Personally, I don’t think that his sexuality or romantic orientation is something Yurio had given any thought to before. I’m not sure he’d realize that he was aroace, I think he’d just think that he was so cool, committed to skating, and strong enough to effortlessly resist the urge to find a girlfriend or boyfriend or partner unlike the weaklings around him lol. He never once stopped to seriously think about it because it just didn’t matter to him. But this situation, pushing him to find out what eros means to him, what sexual love means to him, I think may be a cool opportunity for him to get that self actualization going on of “oh hey, I’m aroace, that’s pretty cool.” Then use that confidence and self awareness to fuel his performance and his success Yknow?

And I like how you’re considering Viktor’s pov in all this. I think they’d certainly get an earful from him for going behind his back on this, hell hath no fury like a coach scorned. But ultimately he would love the surprise because you’re right, he does love surprises. Yakov might receive an anonymous apology bouquet later that evening for all of Viktor’s past surprises though.

How You Meet Viktor ♡

You never considered yourself to be disabled. In fact, most days, it felt like you were just another person attending Piltover Academy. Sure, you weren’t experimenting in extravagant laboratories like other scientists, and maybe you had to sit in the front row of every lecture, but that didn’t change the fact you worked hard, if not, harder than any other person you knew.

That all changed the day you met Viktor. He had a brilliant mind with thoughts that exceeded your own wild imagination. He was extraordinary, ambitious. And admittedly, you would only grow to admire him for that.

Striding into Professor Heimerdinger’s office, your hands were behind your back, looking around, half expecting to see the yordle. However, when you turned your head, you were more shocked to almost run into a handsome man adorning a cane in his right hand. 

Fortunately, he caught you with his free hand, preventing you from knocking him over. Thank god...

Are you okay? 

Your eyes focused on his lips, brows furrowing together in confusion. You had your fair share of lip reading, but that accent. 

The accent made it significantly hard to understand what he was saying... That is, if he had an accent? From the way his lips and his tongue annunciated words, it might well be the case, the reason why you were struggling to understand him.

Tilting your head, he repeated the words a bit slower. 

Are. you. okay? 

Nodding your head, you grinned, rather embarrassed. Your free hand shot up to your chest: “Sorry. I’m Deaf.”

From the way your hands moved alone, Viktor was able to pick up what you were putting down. Nodding his head understandingly, he cracked a grin, turning his back to you for a moment, walking past you into the office. Taking a pen and paper so effortlessly from the Professor’s desk, you looked around, half expecting for Heimerdinger to walk in and confront the guy. What the hell does he think he’s doing?

“It’s fine. Don’t worry about Professor Heimerdinger. I’m his assistant.” he sat in a seat, motioning for you to come over and see what he wrote. 

Hesitantly, you followed, peaking over his shoulder. As much as you wanted to concentrate on what he was writing, you were more fixated on how neat his handwriting was. Compared to Jayce, who sat beside you in your last hour lecture always hastily jotted down notes, seeing Viktor’s handwriting was refreshing.

“Are you looking for the Professor?” 

You nodded your head, pointing to the form in your hand. Viktor took it to observe the contents himself. You shifted uncomfortably, unsure about how to feel knowing the professor’s assistant was looking at your transfer info instead of the professor himself. 

Rather amused, Viktor began to write once more: “You do know this class is really hard right?” Rolling your eyes, you nodded your head with an annoyed smile. Yeah, you heard that one before. Touching your forearm, Viktor pointed to what he wrote while you were lost in thought. You looked over his shoulder once more. And just like that your expression turned sour once more.

“I’m not saying that because you’re Deaf. It’s a really hard class. A lot of students complain that it’s too hard.” Taking the pen from him to scratch down your response, you angrily set the pen down once you were finished: “I think I’ll be just fine. Transfer me. Please.” Walking away rather frustrated now, Viktor chuckled, looking at the transfer form once more. 

Yeah... He’s sure this isn’t going to be the last time he sees you around.

The First Date ♡

Who would have ever suspected three months later you would be absolutely infatuated with the Dean’s assistant? Sure, you thought he was super annoying and overly persistent, but he meant well. 

He helped you study content for lectures, even going so far as to ask the academy to give you advanced notes because you couldn’t hear the lectures. 

In a way, it frustrated you. You weren’t disabled. You constantly deny it because you didn’t want that label above your head.

But in a way you thought it was sweet how much Viktor cared; How he looked out for you. Because in a way he thought the two of you were more alike than you were different. You both had your own woes. You both were seen differently. Still, you both were determined individuals trying to navigate through all your personal struggles in order to be seen.

It was only a matter of time before Viktor asked you on a date.

Sure, a bar wasn’t the most ideal place for a first date, but you both agreed you wanted to take it easy. 

As soon as you both arrived, your disaster of a night only began.

The bouncer refused to let you both in: “Not enough space. Sorry.” 

You stared incredulously, brows knit together in both confusion and frustration, “That’s bullshit.” You signed, Viktor frowning. However, as soon as the bouncer let a different pair in, you threw your hands up, your partner trying to stop you.

It’s okay, we can go somewhere else. 

But there was no stopping the storm and he knew that very well. He was the pacifist and you were the fighter. 

“No he can’t just keep us out!” The bouncer grew annoyed, speaking to Viktor now. 

I don’t know what they’re saying but you both need to leave. Now! 

Trying to read Viktor’s lips as he responded, Viktor pulled you away by the arm. Only then did you figure out exactly what he said.

“What are you doing?! We need to do something about him!” No, we don’t! Can’t you just drop it?

You stopped the scientist, turning him around. “What the hell are you doing?”

We could go somewhere else. Besides, my leg is starting to hurt. We stood in line for an hour.

You scoffed, watching him crack a half smile. It’s okay. We’re disabled, they don’t want to accommodate us. “No it’s not okay. People are always going to treat us like this if we don’t do something or say anything... And I’m not disabled” You sign to the scientist, dejectedly sitting on a bench, Viktor himself struggling to drop himself down beside you for a second.

But you are disabled. You can’t listen to music. You stare at him in disbelief, frowning: “Then I’ll go somewhere where I can feel the vibrations.” You were in denial.

You can’t sit in the back of the classroom because you can’t hear the lectures. You shrug: “Then I’ll sit in the front so I can at least see the board.”

You wouldn’t have been able to read my lips if we did get into the bar. You shake your head: “Then we’ll sit where there is light so I can read your lips... I find ways to make it work.”

It was then Viktor... was starting to get it. He found ways to get around, just like you. How could he not see that before?

It made him feel kinda bad for taking pity on you; For believing your Deafness was weakness. It hurt, knowing that he projected his beliefs that disability was weakness onto you because he always considered himself to be weak.

Above all, it surprised him that you always found ways to prove him wrong. To inspire him.

“...Guess you could say “a cripple and a Deafie walk into a bar” is a pretty shitty start to a joke.” Viktor signed.

Your mouth went agape, taking note of his stupid, smug smile on his horrible, stupid face. 

Still, you couldn’t stop yourself from snickering lowly at his horrible joke to make you feel better. Hey, at least he was trying!

“How long have you been waiting to say that one?” 

Longer than you think~

You linked arms with Viktor, resting your head on his left shoulder. Viktor dropped his head on top of yours, shutting his eyes with a satisfied sigh.

Maybe it was for the better that you didn’t get in. You two could go somewhere that didn’t involve too much standing for Viktor and somewhere that wasn’t too dark so you would be able to read his lips. 

Either way, you two would find ways to make it work.

And the lyric “I’d be foolish if I trusted you after everything you’ve done” really applies to all of them

this is for when vi leaves caitlyn, because she really did go out of her normal life and the rules mostly for herself but for Vi too. I don’t want it to seem like it’s too toxic, just that caitlyn feels left behind and even says “I’d do it all again” (also don’t take this one too seriously, caitlyn had her own motivations aside from vi but I still think it fits)
