How good is their memory 

Ohh I have so many thoughts about Morwen and memory

I think her memory is very good. We know from canon that she is highly observant and I think these traits are connected for her. Her memory tends to be expansive and sweeping. She remembers more details about places than people and, sort of the opposite to what I talked about when I got this question for Aerin, Morwen remembers more facts about events and experiences than somatic details or sensory details though she does have these as well. She sometimes works hard to suppress emotional responses to familiar sensations.

Morwen is incredibly stubborn in her memory (as in other things). If you remember something differently you are almost never going to convince her of this and even having your recollection acknowledged can be difficult. This is, occasionally a strain in her close relationships. I think in Morwen’s adamancy though there is a fear; her memories of Dorthonion and later, of Rían, of Húrin, and everyone else she has lost, are all she has and she does not react well to having them challenged even in casual conversations

I talked about this here but I also like the possibility that her memory was altered after her second encounter with Glaurung.

Howdy hello- guess who made a wings au :)

More to come with this eventually- I’m working on my designs for other characters at the moment, but for now we’ve got Red-Tailed Hawk for Curt and Eagle Owl for Owen.

For DMA I had Barn Owl wings because a) Barn Owls are beautiful and I wanted to draw the wings for them, and more importantly, b) Owen would probably want to disguise his wings, and it would make sense if it was as a different type of owl. I just assume he’d dye his feathers in some way or another. Look- just don’t think about it too much.

Look people can discourse about how problematic a ship is and how terrible people are for shipping it all they want, but the reasons they try and assign for shipping something are usually pretty ridiculous. The only actual point of discrimination on whether or not I’m gonna ship a pairing is just how narratively compelling the character dynamic is. Do they play off each in an interesting way? Is there some good narrative symbolism involved?? I’m there.

Yes that does mean I’m often a basic bitch and end up enjoying whichever slash and femslash ships are popular BUT there’s usually a reason why a bunch of writers have gotten into something! Tbh! Shit being popular doesn’t mean it’s bad, stuff usually pops off for A reason, regardless of it’s a reason you personally agree with.

(And NEVER took an art class. That’s fucking what- 💀 I need to take one I actually need to at this point-)

Also also also- I’ve learned a lot of things! Anatomy, exaggerative expression, stretchy cartooniness, ALL OF THESE ARE JUST- I can’t believe I’ve learned all this because one day I decided: “Maybe I should ACTUALLY get a social media for my art? 🤔” AND I DID IT AND CHANGED MY LIFE‼️‼️‼️
