Hello and sorry to @flamingbluepanda who asked for heartfelt declarations of love. Does murder count? But thank you so much for this! I've been neck deep in chaos and this has been lovely to step back for a second because it's such a wonderful prompt. And thank you once again to @galladrabbles too!

Crimson scores his palms like lacerations, soaking into the creases of his skin and no amount of lather will erase the stain. He trembles over the basin and begs the water to run clear before they can be traced and discovered, because they will be questioned; Terry Milkovich’s gut didn’t cleave itself.

Ian groans and growls at the damned blood, tears of frustration welling and pooling as he scrubs and scours and scratches and claws…

A grounding touch dispels his frantic thoughts.

“Your hands are clean,” his lover whispers, soft.

One of the funniest parts about the whole “Leo not giving Draxum any grace” idea is that Draxum is one of the ONLY notable older men in the show that Leo isn’t willing to give a proper second chance to OR really hear out in the first place.

No seriously it’s genuinely a Thing.

Leo literally stops fighting him to watch his magic act lol plus he helps Warren save him #if we count other older men then the list grows to continue the following #Tim Dunkman? Leo notably does his best to do good in Tim’s eyes #apologizing earnestly to Tim even when it’s not his fault even #and this is another older man Leo refers to as a surrogate father #Leo also quickly falls for the evil hair Yokai Masseur’s lies despite the bad vibes he got #Leo also was the main one who went easy on Bullhop #and let’s not forget Señor Hueso and Leo’s strong attachment to him despite Hueso’s consistent insults and annoyance #like even WARREN gets Leo’s sympathy and assistance when they all helped him get Hypno back #you can even argue that Leo WAS willing to hear Draxum out when they first met #and Leo assumed Draxum was surrendering before the whole ‘BARON DRAXUM DOES NOT SURRENDER’ thing #hell he’s not even antagonistic really to Draxum he just doesn’t really like him #he’ll listen to his advice if necessary #anyway this being a fairly consistent character trait of Leo’s is funny to me #it’s always specifically older men too - Big Mama does NOT get anything but immediate suspicion #not all of them but most of the ones Leo has specific interactions with are like this #I’m just saying!!! Splinter I love you dearly but your boys have Issues™️#anyway each of the boys has something like this going on #Leo’s are just weirdly consistent and happen a lot for a two season show

veilguard spoilers regarding a josie romance. but can we talk about the letter josie sends to a romanced inquisitor because. i’m sorry. fucking losing my mind at the fact that the inquisitor and josephine are close enough friends with the guy the inquisitor duels in her romance to be invited to meet his third child. implying they’ve been invited to the other two. at a baby shower and getting introduced as the one who dueled the baby’s father because he was trying to steal your girl. antivan romances insane.

NO LITERALLLYYYYY. AND HE’S AN IN LAW. ITS TOO FUNNY. i cannot imagine how they met and how yvette probably was like “teehee…. the man that my sister spurned…. has fallen in love with ME!” and the best/worst part is that ortranto really has. i like to think of them running around with each other and secretly meeting as though their families actually hate each other (they really don’t lol) . the ortrantos would probably be delighted to have their son actually marry a montilyet like they wanted, even better that they’re actually in love and it’s not arranged!

i have this image of josie going like “you can’t marry him. is this a joke, because it’s not funny. i almost embarrassed him! the only reason the ortrantos do not hate us is because he is a very kind man who saw that i was in love with the inquisitor! ….yes i suppose a very kind man like that could love you…….. yes of course i want you to be happy…… yvette gabrielle montilyet, i fear you are not hearing what i’m saying— DON’T SAY YOU ARE ALREADY AN ORTRANTO. DID YOU ELOPE? ah okay. don’t do that. i said don’t do that. yvette come back and listen to me” etc etc

of course i must believe that there was a big scene caused (once again) by a montilyet and ortranto that ends with lord ortranto making a speech where the publicly declares his love for yvette in front of all of antiva city to see and hear. so there’s no backing out from this one. in my mind there’s a rehash of the big “BECAUSE I LOVE HER!” (ortranto, desperate but genuine), “you do?” (completely aghast josie who has somehow missed the fact her sister has been giggling even more than usual), plus an “OF COURSE HE DOES!” (a thrilled yvette) that reminds josie so fondly of her own love story that she's immediately relaxed (and suddenly accepting) about this whole thing <3

#josie to me also feels more awkward than she lets on because she's quite good at being graceful and kind #but he is kind of. you know. the guy she rejected in front of val royeaux #i think the most out of character thing is that josie doesnt notice her sister and ortranto meeting up and falling in love etc #but i also think she can be busy enough being an ambassador/running the family business/eldest daughter #that she somehow misses it. for the sake of this beautiful idea i have. and also it would be cute and funny <3 #also like the image of yvette saying ‘i’m getting married to adorno!’ and inq is like yeah ok :] congrats!#later asks josie like ‘oh yeah. who was the guy ur sister is marrying’ and josie pauses thinking abt how to say this LOL #this is also how trev finds out ortranto’s first name is adorno. nearly dies laughing over the whole situation i think #he really is like a footnote in her mind where she's like ':/ guy who almost married my beautiful wife' and then almost #without any issue she's able to go like 'GUY WHO IS MY IN LAW. Spent the last billion hours inventing fictional foods and brands for my OCs to enjoy

#I should emphasize that none of these are even a little important to my story #There is so much worldbuilding around diet and dietary needs and gov response to dietary needs and none of it is even a little important #I just think a world with hybrid people has very interesting implications for what foods are considered acceptable #Which means I gotta be careful to only show them eating food that fits those little boxes #Considering my lazy ass im probably never gonna draw them holding these things with enough detail to matter but whatever I can dream #I like the one that just says Tea can you tell I was running out of ideas #its based on arizona green tea but arizona is not a place that exists in universe and I didnt wanna invent a state so I just. didnt. Not a big deal to me. I like it, I see all the appeals, I just personally like Rarijack more.

#ask me #anon #if you wanna know why i like rarijack more i just think they're a healthier depiction of a domestic and longterm relationship #appledash gives me the vibes of gfs that'll eventually break up #because from s1 to s8 their relationship and communication with each other on serious things never really matures or grows #they were competitive and petty in s1 and they were competitive and petty in s8 #arguably worse cuz in that s8 episode their dynamic becomes so toxic they almost cause a student under their care to drown #both of them have a superiority complex that's constantly conflicting with each other and it never really gets resolved #but with rarijack there's a very clear arc of development you can follow in their character #and multiple episodes show how they'll argue and eventually come back together and apologize and communicate and work to better things #you can watch them grow to like and understand each other. in s1 aj scoffs and makes fun of rarity's work in fashion #but in a later season (after some conflict) aj says that she doesn't understand fashion but she knows it means a lot to rarity so it means #a lot to her too. and that's what love is to me. “it didn't mean anything to me until it meant something to you”#it's genuinely really sweet and i'd argue rarijack /feels/ the most romantic out of all the main 6 ships. through arguing they grow closer #which is how it's supposed to be in relationships that last! you argue to work out your interpersonal problems and understand each other #(which is why it's genuinely kinda baffling to me that appledash ended up being canonically married because they never gave me those vibes)#but it really doesn't matter. they're cartoon horses! have fun with them

Call me homophobic, but I don't actually think it's great representation to stick a complex, dynamic, newly-realized bisexual character permanently with a flat, boring, underdeveloped love interest just because that was the first guy who showed interest.

#in my hater era #like what you like #but goddamn #the argument that this is somehow outstanding queer representation is baffling #they have had 13 episodes to DO something with this character and they have chosen not to #no development anywhere #even though they literally brought him back so there is built-in background ripe for the picking #and yet #anti bucktommy #anti tommy kinard #the saddest part is #i don't even hate him #he's not important enough to hate #there is just absolutely nothing to him #and that's sad because whether or not he was intended to be long-term or endgame #the writers are better than this and the character SHOULD have SOME development #like why are we all swooning over 911 shoehorning in a returning character to tell a bi buck story #but treating that character like the most expendable love interest in history #i don't like him but actually i think queer characters #and especially ones who are part of such a major later-in-life bisexual realization storyline for a beloved main #deserve a little more respect than what 911 has been giving him #anyway #might delete later i don't know #also i need to stop looking at the 911 subreddit #worst takes i've ever seen that place is a cesspool
