so much supernatural discourse boils down to claiming a thing we actually see dean do on the show is something he would not do, claiming a thing we see dean specifically not do on the show is something he would do, claiming something all the main characters do is something dean alone is doing, or claiming something sam does on the show is something dean did.

i absolutely cannot believe people are trying to start discourse about whether nex benedict was actually nonbinary / whether it was okay for him to describe himself as nonbinary to some people if he didn’t actually identify that way as if he isn’t literally DEAD because he was KILLED. this is a MURDERED CHILD and these monsters are so busy getting mad at the possibility that he might have been a trans boy who described himself as nonbinary to his family because that was easier for them to take that they’re turning a CHILD who was MURDERED into fucking discourse. even when we die at the hands of cis people’s violence, our own community finds a way to make us the villains of the story.

and all of this bullshit on top of the ways that cis people are already trying to say our grief over his death is unjustified. all of this on top of people claiming he wasn’t murdered and speculating on other causes of death (i literally saw someone say he “clearly went home and took the coward’s way out” and i have never been more disgusted) or claiming that he started the fight as if any action on his part could’ve been enough to justify his death. i am haunted by the sound of his father screaming that his child was not filth because that is what people have been saying about this poor kid, that’s how cruelly his memory is being treated, and even the trans community can’t get it’s shit together enough to look past the stupid discourse and see the tragedy in front of us. did you all forget that it was supposed to be up to us to grieve him in the way he deserves when the rest of the world fails to care if people like him live or die? did you all forget that this child was our sibling, the future of our community, a life that we should have had the chance to know and treasure while he was still here but that we now have a responsibility to hold close to our hearts in his absence? nex’s life was precious and it was ended far too soon and if you truly believe that anything is more important than mourning his life and fighting for a world where no more trans people have to meet such an awful fate, you’re a traitor to this community and you do not deserve the place you occupy within it.

i’m so tired. i can’t even imagine how tired his family must be, to see the public treat the child they’re grieving so horribly, to see the world fail their baby again. leave him alone. he was already robbed of peace in life; the least you can do is let him finally have it in death.

Something about the fact that these shots are all grouped together, one after another, visually giving them equal weight just gets me. The narrative knows what's going to happen between JGY and Huaisang at this point, knows how it's going to treat JGY at the end of everything. And it still takes time to show Meng Yao instinctively and immediately going in front of Huaisang and Huaisang instinctively and immediately hiding behind him. It takes the time--literally, showed it in the background and focused on it with the same general amount of time as the other shots--to show that this act of protection and trust are just as real and true as Jiang Cheng defending his sister, as Wen Qing defending her younger brother.

Like, I dunno! There are other Nie juniors there! They have swords and shit! Huaisang could have gone and hid behind the wall, but he hid behind Meng Yao! And Meng Yao could have moved back with Huaisang, but he steps directly in front of him!

There's a lot CQL did to JGY's character and narrative that I don't like and that flatten or just straight up erase his full complexity. But I really appreciate the lengths that it went to in Episode 4 to explicitly tell us that he does not hesitate to protect Huaisang, even though at this point he does not have a sword and definitely does not have anywhere near the same cultivation power (if any) as any of the rest of the people in the room.

Right now, after being publicly humiliated, unarmed and definitely outclassed, he is brave. Along with the rest of the characters, he's allowed to be uncomplicatedly young and loyal and just as innocent as any of the other students there.

2024 and we're still on the "nick furcillo is actually evil because of how he acted when infected" debate, oh my god i'm so tired- maybe it's just me, but i wouldn't trust how a person acts when they're infected with the virus that makes you explode and eat people. why are we taking THAT as "the real nick"?? are we not listening to all the others in game vehemently saying "that's not nick"???

"but dylan told kaitlyn to run away when he was about to turn, that means deep down he's selfless and kind and nick emma and max are actually evil-" did you also notice that dylan shows like, no symptoms of the infection until the literal moment he turns? maybe, just maybe, the answer lies in the writers not planning ahead for him being infected and it was definitely the afterthought of his character's status? but don't mention that, it's a lot easier for people to characterize nick emma and max as evil because they're not as well liked by the fandom like dylan is, people are more willing to throw them under the bus because of that.

i take this stupid werewolf game so damn seriously and i'm willing to go down in flames defending nick. it's so much more impactful to have an insecure but sweet teen get corrupted by a mind altering dehumanizing curse, rather than have it revealed that "they were always actually like this in secret." that singlehandedly eliminates all the stakes. having a "he was actually evil all along!" character just thrown in with a bunch of otherwise realistic adults is messy whiplash. no nuance, just morose bleakness.

I need to say it again, I cannot believe people think Dorian would sacrifice his friends (against their will) or harm any of them in any way for selfish reasons. He has stated again and again that he doesn't care for gods, he only cares for people. He wants to save human lives. As many as he can. He wants his friends (all of them, including the CK, who are currently essentially the god's hostages) to live their lives. And in his mind that can only be achieved by chasing the gods off. All his life, the gods have forsaken him. No good experiences. Only trauma. He is not selfish. Nor is he stupid. He has always put people first. He wants to do this for Cyrus. For Opal. For his friends. He doesn't know how. There is no right answer. But nothing else matters.

You know, I gotta wonder if when Wolverine was first conceptualized, if they had this vision of him in mind. Regardless if they did or didn’t, it honestly does make my heart a little happy to know that some how they made character that was more than likely meant to just be [insert badass male fantasy] and were able to mold him into this person who definitely has this violent past, this rage and animalistic instinct, but is in many ways is more human than the rest of the people he knows because of how much love and empathy he possesses despite his animalistic nature.

As I read a lot of Logan’s stories I’m seeing that a lot of his more off putting and violent tendencies aren’t even his “nature” but more of a means for him to survive, a way to protect himself from hurt (god could you imagine a story where his more prickly personality was a side effect of his healing factor?) and if Logan could have things his way, he would chose love every time because when he’s given the chance, that who he proves himself to be.

He’s the best at what he does and what he does is love and care for the people around him.

especially considering how chipper j*mes has been recently , piping up on logan's radio as often as he can to tell him how wonderful he's doing after that article . i'm not saying it isn't true ; it's been confirmed by marcus ericsson on the swedish podcast viaplay F1 .

i personally find it ridiculous to see that a team principal is no longer speaking with his own driver . that , for whatever reason , he dislikes logan so much that it's lead to this . and the mistreatment of logan will continue . just wait until we find out in two weeks that alex's new teammate isn't logan , and better yet logan might even be replaced after the summer break . it's absolute heinous for him to be continuously treated this way , and it's absolutely infuriating . to see logan continue to be treated like this makes my blood boil . i genuinely am beginning to believe that they only kept logan on the team because of the fanbase and american sponsors he brought in . and to think that could be true is actually insane . it's incredible to me that a team principal can be so conceited that this is what his relationship looks like with a driver . that he only speaks to him and is kind for pr reasons , as we've clearly seen . and it makes me both so sad and so pissed off for logan . he genuinely deserves SO MUCH better .
