Yay thank you!! I actually did these for my canon worldstate already (here), so I'm going to answer for my secondary worldstate instead!

8. who do they hate the most, and do they have an arch-nemesis?

luc surana: he hates just about any authority figure he meets equally, but his arch-nemesis is arl eamon. luc's primary aspiration in life post-blight is to be the worst not-legally-but-spiritually-son-in-law of eamon's life.

belladonna 'do' hawke: there's no one do dislikes more than themself.

dahlian lavellan: dahlian can't allow hate or any other strong emotions into her heart or else it'll break her--even corypheus is just a job/responsibility to her, as are most of the secondary antags--but she never quite lets go of a low-simmer resentment toward cassandra as first and foremost her jailor. and she does execute alexius without a second thought because she saw her daughter die in the alt timeline.

theneneria 'thorne' lavellan: she hates the inquisition generally, the first warden specifically, and her arch-nemesis is solas. even before the dread wolf reveal, just for breaking her mom's heart a couple of times over.

10. are they good horse riders?

luc surana: no. absolutely not. he's never even seen a horse before leaving the tower and he thinks they're stinky and mean.

belladonna 'do' hawke: leandra insisted on teaching her bc Any Good (not) Noble (not) Girl should know how, but it's been a while since do had reason to do it, so she's p rusty

dahlian lavellan: yes! she prefers harts to horses, but she's a skilled rider nonetheless, and riding is one of the few times ever when she's with the inquisition when she feels like she can be in her own head/body instead of at a constant detachment

theneneria 'thorne' lavellan: she's passable but she prefers not to have to depend on anything else in combat, including a mount.

12. attitude towards Mabari?

luc surana: he pretends he doesn't like them. they're stinky & slobbery & gross & he has a rotating set of derogatory epithets by which he refers to the ostagar mabari... but when he tries to desert (long story), stinkface sticks with him, and he's not-so-secretly really quite fond of the creature

belladonna 'do' hawke: loveloveLOVES them. My Lady Pawlessa is do's precious beloved and the two are utterly inseparable

dahlian lavellan: indifferent.

theneneria 'thorne' lavellan: a mabari would fix her. unfortunately due to the aforementioned near-lethal aversion to dependency the furthest she can go is staring covetously and forlornly at warden norrie's mabari while dreaming of the warmth and comfort of a big slobbery dog tongue licking her cheek.

y'all i've been upset about nanowrimo's shenanigans since last year, when kids weren't safe, and now there's this AI shitshow, and i want to cry about it again, because nano has been SO IMPORTANT to me since 2008--it helped me hack my writing process and make a bunch of cool shit, and i've written so many stories i love using it as a jumping off point. but. we gotta protect kids, and we gotta get the fuck out of here with AI bullshit.

so. the decision i have come to is that i will still be participating in nano. but now it stands for "now a's [that's me] novel writing month." i'm still going to write a book in november, and i'm still going to shoot for the 1,667 words/day (even though my finished projects wind up way longer than that, invariably), because i've structured my creative life around this routine, but i won't be using their site any more.

i will also not be tagging my november project posts as nanowrimo, but i WILL still be tagging them as "nano[YEAR]" (because that's been my tagging system for untitled projects for uh. years.). and it's now a's novel writing month :)
