Also I never said ace/aro people don't exist? Where is that coming from? That feels like a "gotcha" out of left field that I don't appreciate. Many of my friends are aro and ace and their experiences and feelings are all valid and equal to mine.

I never said that you have to sleep with someone to date them. I said that people do not call someone they are just sleeping with once or twice a partner/boyfriend/girlfriend. If anything that is saying the opposite - not that sex makes a relationship, but that sex does not make a relationship.

From what I am understanding, you're saying that Eddie was probably lying to Buck when he said Shannon was the first person he dated, and that Buck was correct in saying Shannon was the first person he slept with. My counterpoint is that Eddie met Shannon very young. I know teens have sex, I sure did, but I doubt that Eddie or Shannon had a very long or storied sexual history before dating.

I think it's far more likely than Shannon was the first person Eddie dated, and the first person he slept with.

That's my personal interpretation. And to be honest, I think that it's a little ridiculous that we're now getting into a split-hair discussion over what was supposed to be a mostly-silly post. I'm frankly not interested in continuing this conversation, and I say that with politeness and respect. I'm especially not interested in continuing it in such a public forum. And perhaps that's on me for replying to you in the first place and making this a discussion. Someday I'll learn, ha ha.

i don't know who needs to hear this today but the jedi would not be body-shy

especially during the war. some would be uncomfortable, sure, or even heavily dislike being nude and/or bathing around others, but the point of that is that would be respected as a choice. there is a very large difference between preferring not to be nude around others, for cultural religious or personal reasons, versus being ashamed. nothing you can do can convince me jedi would be ashamed or embarrassed of their or others' bodies.
