If you've ever read my headcanons about the Potter kids (here) you might remember that one of my headcanons is Lily finding herself in a similar situation in her love life as her father. Lorcan Scamander liked her for years when they were younger then they meet again in their 20s and she falls for him.

Mainly because I like the idea that at least one Potter every generation finds themselves in that dynamic (James and Lily, Harry and Ginny, Lily L. and Lorcan)

A guy problem is a conversation between Lily and Harry where Lily asks her dad for advice after discovering she'll have to work on a case with Lorcan (and unspeakable). Lily is an Auror, and Harry is the head of the DMLE.

"Lils!" "Merlin! Don't hex me!" He puts away his wand with that exasperated face she swears he has perfected even more since she was a child. "You might think about knocking next time! I'm pretty sure your mother and I taught you how to do that," "Yes, but... Well," Her palms sweat. "Dad." She throws herself on one of the chairs in front of his desk, and looks into his green gaze, "I have a problem, a big problem," "A big paperwork problem or a big 'I let a criminal escape' problem?" "It's not work-related," Lily takes a deep breath, she can do it. "I mean, it is, a bit, vaguely... because it's distracting and I have to work--" "Lils?" His voice is a unique mix of impatience and worry, maybe even a touch of curiosity. "Can't you come home later so we can talk then?" "Nope. It's driving me insane, I need--" "Lils," He pinches the bridge of his nose and she supposes he's counting to ten. "What kind of problem?" "Er-- A guy problem," His eyes pop wide open, terror all over his face. "Er--" Merlin, they are even awkward in the same way, "Wouldn't your mother be better for that?"
