Hi RJ! I hope you are having a great time with your partner! Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was curious what DU Drow’s thoughts are to Astarion marking him like he did to himself. I know you’ve mentioned that Drow did a lot of the scarification as a teen to cope with things, and in your Bhaalist AU Drow has Astarion do some of the face marks. But I saw the art with Astarion’s bite marks on Drow’s ass and I doubt Drow was unhappy about that lol. Does he like having permanent marks from his partner? Do they ever bring any sort of blood/knifeplay into their relationship? I’d be super interested to hear Drow’s thoughts about it! And alternatively what you think Astarion would feel about it.

Your art is absolutely gorgeous and you are easily one of my favorite artists of all time. Your mastery of body shape, facial expressions, telling a story through character design, everything makes me swoon at your art. And that's a very interesting question! Besides for his forearm scars (which were a weird show of dominance in his bhaalspawn days) DU drow's facial and chest scarification were actually done by Orin, and as you can guess he is very into the idea of being permanently marked by his partner - definitely the kind of guy to get your name tattooed on him six months into the relationship.

He does have an inkling of good sense and propriety, though. It's kind of a pillar of the character that he knows how to operate in society in favor of coming across as pleasant and only an acceptable level of eccentric, which is to say that he has the vaguest idea that requesting that Astarion mutilate him for his own pleasure might not bode well. This, as it is the case for everything else, is my own take on the character, but Astarion does not strike my as someone who would want to permanently harm their partner once he's made a genuine emotional bond with them. DU drow realizes this, plus there's the whole treating-him-with-kid's-gloves complex which leads him to believe this would be a sensitive topic, given Astarion's own background.

But DU drow often fantasizes about the scenario, specially during sex or moments where he is emotionally overwhelmed with his love for him. It takes him some time to make the connection between his own scars and what they mean about past relationships, but perhaps at some point an opportunity would arise where he makes such request - and he would do it because it's important, and because he has to for once in his life trust Astarion to either A) participate enthusiastically or B) Allow him to choose to take on the discomfort of his own free-will, and see it as a sign of love and compromise rather than the helplessness he imposes upon him.

And I think that depending on how it was presented, Astarion would do it. He wouldn't do it on a whim, or just to get DU drow's rocks off, but he would do it if he saw that it was something that he really needed, and for good reason. He wouldn't like the process, but he would appreciate having that trust put on him and to have the chance to care for his partner, to have him ask him for help, as weird as the request might be.

What would be König's favorite ans least favorite type of humor? My friend and are think it's funny to default to 'die/kill them' in funny contexts. Like 'gotta feed the cats' gets a response of 'hunt down a deer and skin it. cheaper than buying a brand', and 'then perish' is used *so* often. Would König understand this type of humor? Would he like it? Would he hate it?

I personally think he has a serious tone when he talks, and he can’t help it since his German is influencing his English to be more nerdy? For example, he says “Leave the warfare to me!” and “Finally some worthy adversaries!” and of course the “I’ve got a person of interest in my sights!” ☝️🤓 He is literally a big dork istg

He’d rather not joke around too much since his social anxiety would hold him back a lot. But it doesn’t mean that he lacks the sense of humour. He just needs a little push of stress, and it would be one of the ways to calm him down.

I imagine him getting patched up, mumbling “They really shot my ass down this time” while biting down the pain. Or if he’s patching up others, he’d say “Scheiße, you better go for a lottery after this, they beat you up like a piñata and you’re still alive.”

And yes, he will understand dark humour and give a chuckle or two, he’d use them if he’s texting to Nikto or Horangi lol. Something close to: “If they give me another American apple pie shit again, I’ll crack their heads open like eggs to bake a decent Apfelstrudel.”

He will hate jokes that are making fun of people’s appearance. He’s definitely uncomfortable with his own, that’s why he wears his mask almost like his second skin. He could just use a simple balaclava but no, this man throws a T-shirt over his noggin to cover everything except his eyes.

Sooo I've been working on the next chapter (29) of ANE, but unfortunately I had to cut stuff and rewrite it because it wasn't playing out how I wanted. Norrrrr did it Segway into the next chapter I have boarded out all that good.

Ultimately i had to slow down and change the events that occured which ment major delete time. (This has happened before unfortunately, but ya gotta kill some darlings to progress. 😔)

Also, unrelated to the current FP eps, I have a lot of thoughts about the "Nol is a trash friend because Dieter likes Shinae" and the "Dieter is so good he deserves Shinae but Nol is so sad he also deserves her" and "Dieter is better because he's stable" takes going on but lmao idk how to really coherently deliver them and essentially it all boils down to: Shinae is no object or prize to be won or deserved, she owes Dieter nothing, Nol owes Dieter nothing, no one is consciously acting on anything, feelings are complicated.

Like. Idk man we (ans by we I mean people who still think this way) have GOT to start acting like relationships are "earned" by deserving love interests, gotta stop acting like feelings are something we can control, gotta stop acting like fiction should always reflect reality and also must make the "correct" and healthy choices or else it's bad, and we gotta stop the weirdly ableist notion that someone makes a better partner if they have their shit together and those who don't are bad partners. 💀

Happy to announce I finally started writing the next ANE chapter! Or the next season as I'm calling it to amuse myself LOL I've had the itch for a while but life was doing the thing it does.

Before anyone is disappointed, this next chapter doesn't YET get back to Izzantar. We gotta first check in with the gang and give continuation to a plot thread that I set several parts ago - but we will finally find out wtf Izzy did after that I promise.

Random adhd thoughts about yautja

Music has to be a big part of their culture right? They must have to have some kind of stringed instruments since the obviously can't play any woodwinds with how their face structure is.

Would yautja like heavy metal music? Would they like screamo? Would they see it as a battle cry?

Yautja must have some kind of war cries or battle cries/chants when they are in battle or before they go to battle as a fear tactic. Just imagine a whole army of yautja running straight at you while chanting some ancient battle cry.

How would yautja meat taste like? Would it be sweat or bitter?

Do yautja have any natural medicine that works as a laxative? Like how we have plumbs and dates as natural laxatives?

How does that fruit stew of their's taste like? (Forgot the name of it)

How strong is c'ntlip of an intoxicating beverage for humans?

Since the Matriarchs run things back on Yautja-Prime, it means their society is a Matriarchy. Do they have specific slurs for male yautja that are degrading?

Not me thinking about how yautjas canonically have nipples... at 2am...

Is it normalized for a female yautja to hit on a male and not seen as creepy by their society no matter the context or would it be seen as creepy no matter the context?

Sucklings (pups) would definitely be raised by their clan and their parents as one big family unit.

I feel like the yautja's predlocks would feel smooth, slightly soft, and a little oily. I can see them taking care of their locks by rubbing special oils into them. I can also see couples/mates doing this with each other since their predlocks are very sensitive.

I can't get the image out of my head that the male yautja love to get prettied up for their female counterparts when they aren't out hunting.

I can imagine how agressive and protective a mother yautja gets after giving birth. Like her hormones gotta be really wack, so she sees everyone as a threat. Even her mate.

Do yautja have candy or sweets? Like something simular to chocolate or ice cream? Maybe something like hard candy where they can just lick it

I wanna give a yautja peanut butter and watch them struggle to eat/lick it. I wonder if that would be torture to them...

How would a yautja react to eating ice cream? Would they love it? Oh lol, they would probably get really bad brain freeze after taking a whole bite out of a cone or something thinking it won't be that cold but then, surprise, brain freeze.

I wanna give a yautja an energy drink and see what happens.

I can see yautja having floor tables like how some Asian households have. They just seem the type to have those since they are easy to store ans don't take up much room. Just imagine all those young mouths that they older yautja have to feed

Since yautja live much longer than humans, they must age a lot slower too. Probably like 2.5 times as slow. So would they develop that slow too or would they pick things up pretty quick like human babies?

This isn't very detailed because I genuinely think that the majority of them wouldn't give a shit. Like, we have seen how much they praise one another so I severely doubt any of them would take it to heart.

Hongjoong: lol. We already know he ain't about this shit. Just glares at you. Like it might even start a fight dead ass. Like not a real one, he is just genuinely salty. He might be purposefully keeping you away from the other members for a few days as a direct result.

Seonghwa: doesn't care. Ur like "wow they look so cool" and he's like "I know right" while he doesn't care that you think another member is cool he might be more than a lil satisfied if you do the same for him. Idk man he just likes his members and doesn't see it as an issue.

Yunho: laughs it off. Might be a little disappointed, but he also gets it that your with him and not the other members so who really won this battle lolz.

Yeosang: is unamused, but nothing really beyond that. Like might have a sour face for a little bit. Might be a little more needy that usual. But won't outwardly get mad or upset with either of you. He gets it, his members are cool.

San: legit pout. Isn't even upset that your excited over another member, it's more that you didn't get as excited when he appeared on camera. Just give him attention and kisses ans he will be fine, he will be a little smug afterwards so all in all just a lil dramatic.

Quick Update

Short answer: Yes I’m alive lol. I still haven’t been writing a lot but I’m still here. Another fandom has temporarily stolen my interest (I won’t be writing for it though). I will most likely be writing a guide for Lance in ANE episode 9, but no promises as I’ve really been having trouble taking care of myself as of late.

Extended answer: 

(Regarding guides:) I work Thursday and my sleep schedule is screwed so I don’t know if I’ll have the energy to be coherent enough to make a guide that makes sense (it depends on how my night so far goes - I’m playing my life by the moments as of late) while still having enough energy to work afterwards, so I’ll see what I can do but no promises on the guide. It’s very tempting to play through the episode immediately though (also so I can avoid spoilers) so not all hope is lost. I’ll probably give an update in the morning if I’m up to play it before the episode is released. 

(Regarding writings:) I still don’t know when I’ll get back to writing as my job has completely screwed my mental health so I’m working on damage control to keep myself grounded which means that writing is on the back burner for me. The situation has gotten much better to the point where almost everything is fixed, but unfortunately there’s a lot of damage that can’t be immediately undone so I’ll need time to relax again to the point of being able to concentrate and write (in the mean time, if anyone wants me to post a few sections of some WIPs I have, feel free to comment on this post that you’re interested so I know to post a couple - just keep in mind that they’re works in progress so it won’t be completely polished off). 

(Regarding other distractions:) Eldarya has been usurped and I’m into another fandom of which I probably won’t name (because I’m very shy about it for reasons I still don’t understand lol). I’ll definitely swing back around to Eldarya in time and kick my rear to start writing again but right now with everything going on in my life my interests align with other things, so I won’t pressure myself. I’m also pretty busy planning out some traveling for next month to scout out areas I’m interested in moving to, as I may be moving in the next couple of years, so that of course takes time and research. And holidays. Holidays take up a ridiculous amount of time in my life for some reason. Or maybe that’s my anxiety about the holidays coming up that’s making me think that. Anyways, I don’t have enough time and patience on my hands to try and realign my interests with Eldarya again right now, but I’m happy to play a new episode. I’ll definitely come back eventually, I just gotta get things sorted out and off my back.

Meera : Full point for the first one, but I think Aurora is a good person overall, she has some issues, which we need to work out. And I don't hate Zaid, I just don't like how he is always in a grumpy melancholic mood.

Ethan : Which is very justified of him given that he has to work with the interns the majority of his work hours.

Meera : Easy, pinching the bridge of his nose and rolling his eyes when annoyed, which is all the time by the way.

He thinks he won't practice medicine anymore because he can't solve Naveen's case but I know he won't be able to resist helping people and ofcourse that is what Naveen always wanted. So, professionally, he is doing wonders. Inspiring thousands of hearts, guiding hundreds of young doctors and saving millions of lives. The diagnostic team has becomes globally recognised. He has written another book or two. Maybe won the Lasker Awards.

Personally, I hope he is happy and not lonely. He needs someone by his side. Someone who can tolerate his sarcasm and critisisim. Someone who will put a smile on his face when he wakes up beside her. Maybe he'll have a family, if that someone is really strong-willed. (let's out a dry laugh)

What do you find the most impressive about him?

His passion for what he does. He just lights up and enrapts the entire room when he speaks about medicine. And I just get lost in the sea of passion in his eyes. Also his stubbornness and unwillingness to give up is really impressive.

I don't think so he will. Like the chances are really really thin but trust me if he does I wouldn't dare say no. (colour rises to her cheeks)

If she manages to save her lisence she'll be a wonderful doctor. She'll save innumerable lives and be one of the brightest stars in medicine. I am sure she'll secure a spot on the DT and maybe even lead it someday. She'll make me proud. (smiles genuinely)

Personally I hope she'll be with someone who loves her more than anything and that she is with literally anybody else but that scalpel jockey. She'll have a loving caring partner who'll cook her meals when she comes home from a twelve hour shift. She'll have amazing friends especially the ones she has now. They really love her and they didn't think twice before helping her out with Mrs. Martinez's case.

Maybe she'll have a family. A few kids who will also grow up to show a stunning reflection of their mother.

What specifically do you find attractive about her?

Ethan : I can't say attractive but I'll say I like her personality. She has a magnetic one that makes sure to turn heads any time she walks into a room. Also I love that she cares so deeply about people and she is willing to go out of her way to put a smile on these people's face. Like for example Mrs. Martinez.

My guardian/dmbj au (the iron triangle comes to the city, w xie and xiaoge go on a date, zhao yunlan recognizes xiaoge as a criminal suspected of being a super-powered killer like 20 years ago when zhao yunlan was a kid and his dad was chief and goes to try and confront him and takes xiaoge into custody and wu xie by extension, then in the SID xiaoge doesn't talk and wu xie BLATANTLY LIES and acts obstructive and threatens and then when zhao yunlan is talking to shen wei, xiaoge breaks them out easily. Zhao yunlan and shen wei pursue, then catch them in a warehouse deal later - illegal - where xiaoge is probably killing some thugs who were gonna kill them, oops zhao yunlan sees and DEF wants to arrest him and shen wei thinks xiaoge is a danger to zhao yunlan when xiaoge Fights Back, pangzi ends up dragging his 2 dummies out and either shooting at or throwing a grenade AT superpower scary Black Cloak Envoy so now it's personal to zhao yunlan. Shen Wei and zhao yunlan find the iron triangles hotel room, and inside pangzi discusses maybe shooting their pursuers, xiaoge is like I can make a scene ans break us out or yeah I vote kill them, wu xie is like is there ANY peaceful way to resolve this? Pangzi is like well we gotta make it to the getaway car first. Wu xies talking them down and calling xiao hua then letting zhao yunlan take them all in. Xiao hua attempts to buy them out to save them but SID doesn't take bail. Then the rest is unplanned but I assume iron triangle help with a monster problem so shen wei and zhao yunlan will let them out of holding, then iron triangle flees in the chaos of the aftermath and notes to themselves lol better not visit that city again we are wanted men oops.)

BOTH of my guardian/silent reading aus (one I'm which fei du is a dixingren and is involved in a case and luo wenzhou protects him as zhao yunlan investigates, and another in Ye Old Haxing where fei du is adopted by a rich family but gravitiates to his 2 favorite guys on the guards being Tan and Luo, and Shen Wei picks out he's a dixingren because when he touches blood he can see the history of what happened to a person bur we all know fei du is afraid of blood but he still wants to help cases with his reasoning skills and he and luo and Tan end up helping kunlun and shen wei with some Rebel Chief tracking)

My other post Guardian fix it fic where Ye Zun and Shen Wei are reincarnated, Zhao Yunlan is the immortal now cause his life is tied to the guardian lantern, da qing is still immortal and his roommate as they live in Dixing - zhao yunlan founded a school like shen wei always wanted there. Shen Wei graduates, becomes s professor, and has a crush on fellow faculty member Zhao Yunlan. His bro ye zun notices said crush and orchestrates meet cutes of extreme proportions to try to get them together, accidentally has some meet cutes with da qing cause da qing thinks ye zun is actually trying to hurt zhao yunlan so he keeps catching ye zun mid meet cute plan executing, and some older dixingren are after Shen Wei and Ye Zuns reincarnations because of the damage those two got blamed for in their past lives.

4. May eventually write a Patpran from Bad Buddy guardian au. Pran as Shen Wei, Pat as Zhao Yunlan. Listen it would be amazing and at least 2 other people have mentioned it now and tje idea is INSPIRED and I hope someone writes it. But like in a year if no one has I might at least make a quick one-shot about it. It would work So Well
