Doodles Made by a 6-year-old Boy Named Onfim, from Russia, c. 1240-1260 CE: created nearly 800 years ago, these drawings were scrawled onto the homework/spelling exercises of a little boy in Novgorod

Over the last 75 years, excavations in and around Novgorod, in Russia, have led to the discovery of hundreds of documents dating back to the Middle Ages. These documents were made using pieces of bark from the local birch trees; they include letters, notes, spelling exercises, shopping lists, receipts, and legal documents, among other things.

The most famous examples are the panels that contain the writing exercises of a 6-7 year-old boy named Onfim, whose work was often accompanied by drawings of knights, fantastical beasts, battle scenes, and depictions of himself in various forms.

These are just a few examples:

Birch-Bark Document no.199: on the back of a panel that had been used for his spelling exercises, Onfim drew this picture of himself as a wild beast, writing "I am a wild beast" in the center of the drawing; the beast is also shown holding a sign that says "Greetings from Onfim to Danilo," likely referring to a friend or classmate.

Birch-Bark Document no.200: Onfim began writing the Cyrillic alphabet at the top of this panel, but he then stopped to draw a picture of himself as a warrior on horseback, labeling the figure with his name; the drawing shows him wielding a sword while he impales his enemy with a spear.

Birch-Bark Document no.202: the boy's mother and father are depicted in this drawing, which accompanies another writing exercise.

Birch-Bark Document no.206: Onfim began to copy a liturgical prayer (the Troparion of the Sixth Hour) onto this strip of bark, but he apparently got distracted after writing just the first few words, and started drawing a row of people along the bottom of the panel instead.

The examples above are just a few of the many documents that have been unearthed in Novgorod (now known as Veliky Novgorod) and its surrounding areas. More than a thousand birch-bark manuscripts and styli have been found throughout the region, suggesting that there was a high rate of literacy among the local inhabitants. Most of these documents were created during the 11th-15th centuries, when Novgorod served as the capital city of the Novgorod Republic; they had been buried in the thick, wet clay that permeates the local soil, in conditions that allowed them to remain almost perfectly preserved for hundreds of years.

I know that Onfim's drawings are pretty well-known already, but my most recent post involved a very similar writing exercise/doodle from a child in Medieval Egypt, so I just thought I'd post some of Onfim's work, as well.

I think i remember a doodle thing you drew where Starscream was shouting "do you want to be hated?" at megs and i can't find it for the life of me 😭

hey! this ask actually sent me on a bit of a journey—I could not remember the post you’re talking about at all, which doesn’t usually happen with stuff I’ve made! It felt very familiar, but I could not recall anything else about it.

At first I thought you might be thinking of this scene from Terror of the Skies—

—where merc Starscream berates Megatron for sparing her. It’s close, but the wording clearly isn’t correct, and I didn’t feel like the context was quite right.

So, I thought it might be from another short comic, Black Hole—

—which seemed like a sure fire hit, given the entire story of the comic—but even then, Starscream never said those exact words in this comic. I felt like whatever it was had to be closer.

While I was scrolling through my backlogs, though, I remembered a really specific project that I never ended up completing. It was extremely unfinished and i was pretty sure I’d never posted it anywhere outside of Twitter, but it stuck out in my mind. So I went to find it, and sure enough:

I did write that, but apparently, it was Elita and Megatron!

There’s still a good chance this isn’t exactly what you’re thinking of, but it is the closest thing I could think of or find. I stopped working on this WIP so long ago that I know the second panel was supposed to have words, but i completely forget what they were. I won’t spoil what I remember about the context, but you can make your own inferences if you’d like.

Sorry for the long thread, your ask genuinely intrigued me! especially since it’s still possible that there’s another post somewhere even further back that I’m forgetting that fits the bill. Ghost x FemReader x Soap

Content: Soulmate AU, fluff, no angst

Despite having made contact with your soulmates it had taken another 2 weeks before finally being able to meet up in person. They had managed to get in contact with your coach though and the three of you were able to exchange phone numbers.

 It turns out that Sun and Moon, or Johnny and Simon as you know them now, had found each other a while ago. They had just been waiting for you to show yourself; which led you to where you were now. Sitting on a plane making your way to England; to them.

You wished that you could've dropped everything and ran to them, but you needed to stay and cheer on your fellow teammates during their events. That didn't mean you weren't almost constantly talking or texting with them though.

Johnny and Simon talking over the phone matched the way they drew. With Johnny being talkative and open; while Simon was more reserved and added his input when he deemed it necessary. Their voices had initially surprised you, but surprise was soon replaced by butterflies in your chest with the way they said your name. 

Plans were quickly made to meet up as soon as you were able to. Everything was happening so fast, but at the same time not fast enough. 

All throughout the plane ride Johnny and you had been exchanging little doodles; Simon adding his little hearts next to all of them. Making sure to let you know that he was here, and engaged with what you two were doing. 

"Ladies and gentlemen, please remain seated, we are about to land in just a moment." The pilot announced to the plane; it was time.  Time to meet your soulmates. You had a photo of them already, Johnny had sent it on the second day of you three talking to each other saying it was only fair that you know what they look like as well.

The photo has been very cute, you may or may not have made it your phone's screen saver. It was them lying down together with Johnny smiling wide at the camera while Simon's face was partly hidden behind Johnny's head. Leaving you only to see his intense stare and blonde hair.  

You make your way off the plane to the baggage claim making sure to keep an eye out for two certain individuals. It isn't until you spot a giant sign with your name on it surrounded by purple stars do you finally see them. 

Simon is standing stoically, a bouquet of flowers in his hands, and with a plain black face mask covering the bottom half of his face. 

Johnny on the other hand is practically jumping where he stands. He is also holding onto the sign and starts to excitedly shake it once he catches your eyes. "Lass, over here!" He yells as he pats on Simon's shoulder before pointing to where you're currently standing.

You can't help but smile watching them. Doing your best to not all out run to them as they too start to walk towards you.

As soon as you’re in arms reach Johnny drops the signs and picks you up. Spinning the two of you in circles, giggling while holding onto one another. He quickly places you down right in front of Simon.

"These are for you." Simon holds out the flowers for you to take.

"They're beautiful!" You bring the flowers close to your chest smelling them before you hesitantly open your arms out in a hug. It seems that was all Simon needed before he too was pulling you close to his chest; holding you tight. 

"Well done love, winning the gold, we're disappointed we weren't able to be there, but just know we were watching you the whole time."  Simon whispers before he releases you from his grip kneeling down and picking up your bag. Obviously ignoring your remarks about how you can carry your own stuff. 

"Aye let him carry it lass heaven knows once he gets his hands on something he doesn't let go." Johnny says, giving you a wink. 

"Oi don't start with that now Johnny." 

"I didn't say anything that wasn't true Lt." A mischievous grin spreads on his face as he turns to face you, "Simon here might act all big and tough, but I promise ya he's a softie."

 "I'll keep that in mind next time we train MacTavish. Let's see if you still feel that way afterwards." 

In a faux whisper that clearly meant for all to hear Johnny leans into your ear and says, "See what did I tell ya; a softie that one." 

Simon doesn't say anything, simply glares at the other man in front of him.

You couldn't help but laugh at how the two are acting. It's cute to see them bickering with one another; you feel content to just listen to them talk.

Upon hearing you laugh both turn towards you. Simon's eyes lose that glare once making eye contact with you. "I can be soft for you though, love." His hand comes up to caress your check. 

You feel your face become hot as his hand continues to touch you for just a few more moments before pulling away as he looks towards the other. “Johnny, pick up the sign and let’s get out of here.” 

"Aye, let's get you home bonnie! We have the entire day planned out for you; starting with you taking all the relaxation you need. Take a nap, shower, or whatever you need while me and the big guy here make our ice princess a very special meal."

Johnny holds your hand, and Simon has a hand on the small of your back as the three of you make your way out of the airport. 

Home that was a good way to describe what you were feeling right now; you felt like you were home right now standing between the two of them. There was still a lot you had to learn about them, but you would gladly spend a million lifetimes doing so if needed.

Juno is a big horror movie fan

i sat down and finished the "doodle" i started forever ago.

Jack is "chaperoning" scary movie night but didn't think it would be this bad D:

Juno is a big fan of practical effects in horror, and this is a big thing they bond over with Shaun. in another life, they would've gone into film and maybe worked on Shaun's movies making surprisingly sexy werewolf transformations lol

followed by: Juno checking to see if Jack is good when Shaun goes to grab a drink, him givin' a weak thumbs up from the hallway. Juno feels bad and makes it up to him with an 80's romcom night

for a spooky, yandere clown ghost, Jack surprisingly doesn't handle horror well

(me neither, Jack. i like horror movie stories but not watching the actual movies. horror summary channels like Dead Meat, Ryan Hollinger and Found Flix are common background videos while I'm writing/drawing. this was supposed to be them watching a Dario Argento film but i've never actually seen any of them lol)

ive been doodling Shaun a lot lately after i drew this a while back, and happy to say i've gotten better since lol

OKAY, I think I'm done for now.

@electrozeistyking and I a little while ago talked about how GD!N would react to DAS!Cyn. They went on about in a reblog but basically he would be extremely happy bc DAS!Cyn is a separate entity to the Absolute Solver, therefore meaning she's not the one behind everything.

So at first they probably both would be extremely happy. DAS!Cyn in her own AU upon meeting N first is absolutely terrified that he might hate her after everything the AS made her do. So the fact GD!N would react very positively to her presence would be a huge a relief to her.

Now, the issue is that the "Dormant" in "Dormant" Absolute Solver is in quotations for a reason. It simply lost interest in her as a main host / had no need for her anymore. It still has admin rights over DAS!Cyn and she still has a Solver Form. Though she doesn't use it by choice bc of PTSD triggers (until possibly a specific point in Ep7 but I'm waiting for ep8 to decide).

So yeah I think that would make both GD!N and DAS!Cyn kinda anxious to put it lightly.

Well funny story.

DAS!Cyn always was comforted by her brothers core back at the manor, when they first reuite at the start of Ep6 and she sees DAS!Uzi summon her Solver wings and tail, her instinct is pressing closer to DAS!Ns chest for comfort. Her memories of the Solver features are very very blurry, but she is triggered by seeing them regardless.

I thought It was cute the girls have that in common, so I decided to draw them and GD!N sleeping with the girls having their heads close to his core :3

The first two are based on Zeisty saying GD!N would probably pick DAS!Cyn up and spin her around. Also you probably noticed between this doodle, the first drawing & the Tiny!N & DAS crossover post, but DAS!Cyn displays flowers on her visor to emote happiness!

The 3rd and 4th are just random interactions between the kiddos lol. I feel like Beanie probably would be happy to have another Auntie, not to mention one closer to her age so they can do silly kid stuff together. DAS!Cyn... oh boy

She would feel a whole range of emotions; grief about missing so much of her brothers life (like he has a kid ffs), guilt and self blame after finding out what happened to Uzi (she blames herself for everything the AS caused, even tho she never agreed to it) which might end up in a "slight" breakdown, anger at the AS for causing GD!N that kind of pain and eventually once she processed all those emotions she probably would be excited to get to know Beanie. Like!! Imagine finding out you have a little Niece!!

She probably would struggle to easily keep up with Beanie bc she still has motor issues like in canonverse so she's a little slower, so it'd be mostly her trying not to fall over her own feet whilst being dragged around by an excited toddler who probably even with child lock is stronger than her lmao.

Also I drew DAS!Cyn in an alternate outfit bc I wanted to actually kinda show the oil reserve canister,,,

Yeah, DAS!Cyn kinda didn't take it well either when she first realized the AS technically can still take over if it really wanted to after she transferred bodies in an attempt to escape. Imagine getting your core nearly crushed in an attempt to flee from robo satan just to find out entity STILL can use you for their bidding. Like!!! Damn that's not fair the kid nearly fucking died trying to break free!!!

DAS!Cyn definitely would want to spare Beanie the horrors too. DAS!Cyn herself is mentally like 7-10/11 at best 6-9 at worst -- despite kids usually just saying whatever comes to mind, she repressed most AS related stuff for a reason, she definitely wouldn't share what she knows with her newfound niece

I feel things would be either super great and happy or super traumatizing depending on when in the timeline we throw DAS!Cyn at them. If she's there during ep 6-7? Oh boy. Oh no. DAS!Cyn & DAS!N have an exchange during Ep7 that would not go over so well if it was GD!N in DAS!Ns place, because it would be awfully similar to GD!Uzis death -- she doesn't die, because DAS!N can't get himself to shoot with her being so close to the AS, despite her literally shouting at him to do it and that she won't be angry, that'll be fine. -- yeah I don't think GD!N would handle that well 😭 Zeisty feel free to get the angst train rolling if you wanna add your two cents on how that'd go over -- any point before that? Probably fine. Post S1? I'd imagine also fine depending on what Ep8 throws at us (except like... look at ideas list for more info*)

I'll assume that'd be Beanie reacting to seeing DAS!Cyn having the Solver tail and possibly the glitching Solver symbol in her visor. Yeah she definitely would try to play it off and go try and hide somewhere until she can get it under control again. High stress or negative emotions causes her Solver to act up (unrelated to the AS, just her own Solver form without the entity controlling anything!!) So what I said above to her reaction to the news of GD!Uzi being dead? And possibly finding out the reason why? Yeah that might trigger her tail and wings to pop out and her to basically be reduced to a hyperventilating ball on the floor because of proceeding to blame herself for all of GD!Ns suffering due to thinking the AS actions & it being a danger are her fault

Other things I kinda wanted to doodle but didn't for now, might do at a later point;

Cyn still has a Solver Core, which is the same as a DD core (except smaller lol). So I was playing with the idea of Beanie noticing that her core sounds different from GD!Ns due to hers being severely damaged and actively leaking after the AS attempted to crush it during the body transfer. DAS!Cyn then trying to play it off

Some kind of acknowledgement of the Oil reserve canister on DAS!Cyns back, it was made by Tessa before the AS did the medurder and stuff. It's supposed to help keep the Solver in check by preventing overheating, hence why its directly connected to her chest where her core is

There was something else but it slipped my mind

Smth I'm not gonna say publicly for now until Zeisty posts something about it and/or eventually posts the chapters bc I don't want to spoil esp not bc it isn't my place to :" (if you're curious, Zeisty, lmk I can tell you in VC or DMs lol) but it partly would possibly be related to the 1st idea listed

* I have an idea for what happens to Cyns original body (the one the AS uses & that wears Tessa) post Ep8 IF Ep8 let's me do it that is. I think it could be fun to crossover that idea bc of GD!Ns ghost sight.... tho it definitely also would be fucking stressful and trauma inducing bc Solver stuff sooo yeah rip (again, if you want I could elaborate in vc or DMs on this bc I want to first wait and see what the season finale brings before I do anything "official" with this)

GD!N reacting to the information that DAS!Cyn canonly shot "Tessas" gun at the AS (well technically at its tentacles. Point being that kid fired a gun/knows how to use one) -- which again could be very interesting if we were to toss them into the same Ep7 bc that's when she does it

Possibly GD!N finding out ab the scars/cracks surrounding DAS!Cyns core bc,,, yeah

HAPPY 1-YEAR OF DRAWING ANNIVERSARY TO ME!

(Warning: slightly longer post incoming cause sometimes I gotta be a sentimental bitch ok? So let's go on a little trip down memory lane.)

This day, a year ago, I made my very first fanart. It was dnf (if that surprises you, then welcome to being on my blog for the very first time). I drew a little frog face too so I could use it as a watermark (fun fact: I still use that very same first one).

I immediately put my drawing up on twt because I told myself that I wasn't gonna be afraid of having people see that I was at the very beginning of this journey and had no clue what I was doing. That instead of being bad at art, I was gonna be awesome at being a beginner who doesn't know shit.

I started with little doodles and silly comics and then I laughed way too long when the first drawing of mine that gained some attention was a dnf butt joke. At the time I was trying to balance shipping and non-shipping art so I didn't even draw dnf that much but in hindsight it's probably the only possible way this could have gone.

At the very end of August I woke up to @honelle56 caps-locking at me in my messages - I was very confused and tired (I am no morning person and I will never be, fuck off with your mornings) because Dranart liked my drawing of singing Dream. Dranart was my 17th follower on twt which is a useless yet extremely funny fact about my time on that hellsite.

I also drew human!patches because a) patches was and will always be my favorite dteam member and b) it was a really cute trend and while I do love drawing dream, george and sapnap, I was also quite happy to try drawing anything but a white man for once. And I really liked how the drawing turned out.

Much, much later, I tried to draw my first slightly more realistic looking drawing. I was extremely confused on how to draw anything like this. Especially their hair gave me tons of trouble but given my experience, I think it's not a bad attempt.

When hijacked smp started I obviously wanted to participate, and I drew c!blu who doesn't associate with any side in particular but instead serves soup to everyone who visits her tavern 'The Soup House'. She also wants to be paid in stories from all around the map.

One of the events I was most excited about was dnf week. I even collaborated with two talented writers and I drew the corresponding art for two fics.

(Fun or not so fun fact: when twt had like three hundred collaborative aneurysms about the situation at that moment, that was when I created this tumblr account. I didn't use it super actively (I guess I needed another situation to fully make the switch) but I at least started the account that now developed quite a bit since then.)

I didn't really draw at all through January and February and I actually kinda thought I would move on from that hobby and fandom (not because of negative feelings, just because I didn't really have the urge to create anything within this fandom) and then situations happened and now I am here; and for some reason that is beyond any logic and my understanding I am now even more insane about dteam.

Wild to me but we are rolling with it now, I guess.

Since I got here, I drew more than ever (I actually think I might have made more drawings in the month since I got here than I made the whole rest of the year). There's just such an active and funny community here that cares about fan works for the sake of creating and not just because a CC might see it.

Unfortunately, Tumblr won't let me add more than 10 images in one post (maybe fortunately for everyone who has this monstrosity of a post on their dash). you were a very close friend of vi's. you'd stuck around when she needed somebody the most. you were the only person she knew she could rely on ever since vander passed. no matter how many fights you had, how life treated you both, how many opposites against your friendship there seemed to be in the way. vi's feelings turned into something deeper a while ago. she realised she loved you after she had an awful day at work, and the only person she needed to see was you.

despite a recent fight you had over vi letting her stress get the best of her, she bought you your favorite fast food and a heart pin for your bag, you loved those accessories, she noted. you were surprised to see her sitting at your doorstep with some paperbags after you came back from work.

"cupcake, you're finally here...happy to see me? i...got you those fries and sandwich you like...with a cupcake! just like you... listen, i know i was bad to you and i said mean things. you can punch me in the face! go on! what you mean no? ok...then, forget the punching. (y/n)...(y/n). i don't know how to be lovey dovey and stuff but i am trying here. i like you. i really do. can i come in? we can eat this...and maybe i talk you into being my valentine."

caitlyn slipped a lock of her long hair behind her ear as she anxiously tapped her foot against the wooden tiles of the hallway of your building. the enforcer sucked in a breath, glancing between the bouquet of white and red roses she'd ordered at the local flower shop. you both met at a local piltover festival while caitlyn was on duty. she helped you retrieve your stolen wallet and she'd been awestruck with you ever since. she knew you worked at a local cafe and she would always order her morning breakfast with you, sharing small conversations that meant a lot to her.

Caitlyn gathered enough courage to knock gently on your door. There is no turning back now, she thought to herself, as the monotonous sound of your footsteps began getting closer and closer until the knob turned, followed by the low creak of the door. And then your face emerged, your full body following. She couldn't help but smile. You were the most beautiful girl she'd ever seen.

"hello, (y/n). good afternoon! how are you? i am quite fine, too. better now, actually, after seeing you. oh, this bouquet? no, no, no, it isn't for me. i ordered it for you. i remember you told me you are fond of roses. they did remind me of you. so...would you like to go to the movies with me? amazing! and lastly...be my valentine, please."

jinx spent the whole morning and afternoon preparing a surprise for you. she was your best friend, but the blue haired girl wanted to be so much more than that. she'd loved you for such a long time, but never felt courageous enough to ask you out. the voices would convince her that you would never feel the same for such a loser like her. but this time, after two years, she wouldn't waste another valentine away from the girl she loved.

she broke into your house while you were visiting your family and went straight into your bedroom to give you her gift and proposal: with her colour sprays and inventions, she painted your walls and drew on them with little doodles of hearts, adorable animals, you both in a beautiful garden...she also spread handmade gifts all over your room. your bed was covered in red dye with hearts and a monkey robot on top of it held a banner: "(y/n), i love you! be my valentine!"

"toots, ya finally came home! ya like your surprise!? don't look so dumbfounded, it's amazin'! it took me hoooours to finish. look at that lil spinning ballerina i made for ya! and the bed, so soft! aaaand...will you be my valentine!? i love ya, toots! i want you to be my girl and we will kaboom boom blah togetha'! wait...ya love me back! aaaaah, i told y'all, she is mine! now come lay on ya nice bed and we will cuddle, valentine!"

you were one of the girls who worked at babette's. though not as a stripper or a prostitute, you were a waitress, trying to make some money in order to survive in zaun. if you were lucky enough, you'd get some tips here and there from drunks who were hopeful to get under your pants. however, sevika was different. you felt no malice coming from her. silco's right hand woman was different from the men who could only see you as a piece of meat. she actually treated you with respect. the bare minimum, yes. but in zaun, the minimum was a lot.

sevika was fond of you. you were a woman who she felt something she couldn't quite get a grasp on towards. it was a weird sensation on her chest, seeing you. her heart would pump faster and she'd feel thrilled whenever you demonstrated to be impressed by a story she told. it wasn't that she didn't feel physically attracted to you. she did. oh, how she did...though it was more than that. and that persistent, unknown feeling annoyed her.

you were dead concerned when sevika showed up bruised and bloodied from a street fight with vi. she definitely didn't expect to have you on your stupid cupid costume at valentine's day to be patching her up and gently cleaning her wounds, inside a small spare room of the bar. the sounds of the muffled loud music and you humming to yourself were swirling around her head as she glanced at you, releasing a strained breath.

Lately I haven't posted much my kindergarten OC so I decided to post some sketch from my old sketchbook from 2 years ago :D

Amity

Amity's design at that time still did not change much

Hmmm I'm not really good at taking care of this sketchbook ._.’

The cat that Amity is holding is named Samako and he is acting as hall monitor. He is a Tuxedo cat and he wears a special collar that allows him to communicate with the people in the kindergarten ( This collar was made for him by Principal ). He is 4 years old ( 32 years old in human years ). This is just the first hall monitor, the second hall monitor is a rather large Samoyed dog named Yuki. I just added her recently so she is not fully drawn yet ( I have not written information for these two characters yet )

Aether's hair design has also been changed… This time I'm really changing it and not using this old one

He is a child model and he is a richer person compared to other children. Even though he is rich, he is rarely brag ( He is a humble person…except that he is bad at controlling his anger and he also often appears unapproachable to others )

Aether doesn't really like Ivy…but she's the only one and can talk comfortably ( It sounds extremely absurd🤔…Even I don't even understand why I wrote him like that 😅 )

This is one of the many reasons why he doesn't like Ivy ( Here they are in martial arts class )

This is Emily, Aether's younger sister. He loves his sister very much and will gets mad when someone bullies her ( I haven't written much information about this character yet )

And the last character is Ivy ( I draw her quite a lot and she is also my favorite character 😊 ). Her design is also kept the same, except for the two strings on her hoodie ( I removed it ❌)

She is a hacker and also the smartest kid. This also proves that there are quite a lot of electronic devices in this kindergarten. For example ( Cameras with listening devices are installed everywhere in the kindergarten ) and many other devices that I will mention other time ( There are quite lot and I don't think I'll be able to list them all here, sorry about that ). You see a talking cat in the kindergarten, that is enough to understand, right?

before anything, I would like to clarify that I am not a main AleRudy artist, hence I dont draw them very often! So take this tutorial lightheartedly

there's a few notable features that Ale and Rudy have which I compiled it here, this is again, just based on my own interpretation

initially or for quick doodle i usually just draw his mutton chop like a bar, it brings the message across and its easy to do

for the next 2, those are my recent doodle i guess? basically just to make his beard more bushy, and for the 3rd one is more so i want to make his hair curly....and messy kinda :] i think its hot LOL

Eyes

yeah so the thing about Price is his eyes are a different shape than the other members (yes im aware they ALL have different eye shape bear with me here), his eyes are more round and shorter, so that's what I like to take note of whenever i draw beeg Price

you can see the red lines that kinda shows the general shape if we compare his eye with Ghost's ones for example

also I tend to draw his eyelid covering like half the eye just for the smexy effects lol

although he aint THAT old yet but i always add the crow feet and eye bags sometimes, more so when i draw non-chibi Price

Mini McCoy drawing I did in the note space of May 5th in my 2023 diary, which is when I watched “Star Trek TOS - S01E15: Shore Leave” for the second time.

I only drew him recently, despite having watched the episode eight months ago! At least that means I can post it around Easter though, because for me the episode always feels Easter-y with how sunny it is and of course the White Rabbit’s appearance.

This drawing was the bane of my existence for a while. It took me 10 days to complete from start to finish! Ok, so I wasn’t drawing on every one of those 10 days, but this still took me way longer than it should have for its size. I don’t know what was so hard about it exactly, I had to constantly alter the jawline and eyes, and don’t get me started on the mouth! I think the angle was a difficult one for any face, but for some reason Doctor McCoy was another level. I never draw guidelines for my diary doodles because they’re so small, I just free draw the outlines, but with this one I could’ve done with having some guidelines. And of course, I struggle with blending colour, especially for skin tones as well. But, after all that, I am fairly pleased with how he came out. Thank goodness.
