Music turns upbeat and whimsical. Cut to a tight shot of a custodian in the public gardens, bent over away from camera. She notices the camera and stands up, wiping her cheek with a glove and smudging it with dirt. She smiles.

“I use mine outdoors. It’s perfect for getting dirty in the garden with a friend.”

An assistant hustles past with an armful of papers, and the camera follows. They walk and talk.

“I keep mine in my bag. The boss really likes to ride me hard at the drop of a hat, so I try to stay prepared.”

They enter a coffeeshop as a barista exits. The camera follows while he erects a sidewalk sign - it reads “Piltover’s favorite hole-in-the-wall! Come on in.”

“I get mine out in the morning. My partner is an early riser, so we always start our day with a hot, fresh grind.”

Sunlight flares off the shop window and the shot transitions to an even brighter hexgate thrumming fast and humming in warning.

Slow zoom in through an open door of the lab, Viktor working at a desk facing away. He notices the crew and turns, goggles still on, perplexed.

“What is this? Who let you in here, I told them absolutely no filming in the—“

Diligently pounding away at the Next. Big. Thing.

Cut to the forge kiln blazing away around a thick rod of steel, turning white hot. Tongs pull it out a little, then back in, then full out. Sensual jazz music backs the steady hammering sound of steel on steel. Slo-mo pan over sweating abs. Flexing back. Fist gripping a thick-handled hammer. 2/3 shot of Jayce sitting, shirtless, hammer in hand, full spread, swiping sweat off his brow and neck.

“Innovation has always been a give and take. You gave me a hard thrust into the spotlight, and I took it in stride…but Hextech has always been about the people of this city first and never the glory, whole stop. Councilwoman Medarda enters from the right and tucks his hair into a more perfect swoop. She rests her arm on his shoulder and looks at the camera.

Tight push in on just her. She raises a finger to her lips in a hushing motion.

one thing that's missing from these convos about amc not submitting assad zaman for a golden globes nom that makes it 10x more malicious on amc's part is that a nomination isn't just like oh... ~simple appreciation for an actor's performance. even if there's no win, it results in a profile boost for these actors & them being able to command a higher salary when it comes to future projects. it's something that gets notice on their CV. these studios and networks love being able to market their shit with things like "starring golden globe nominee john doe" or "emmy winner jane doe." the emmys are more prestigious than the golden globes which are more prestigious than the critics choice awards (the one they submitted him for with two other actors lol). actors get nominated and have the opportunity to get attention from social media posts, article mentions, attending the red carpet, having their name announced and a little clip of their acting shown. that's not nothing! attention from possible new fans, publications, execs, peers, producers, directors, fashion houses & other industries which could lead to $$$ and sponsorships. I won't make any presumptions about the cast's finances but I do know amc is probably not paying them their worth, least of all the bangladeshi muslim who barely had any major roles in tv/film prior to the show.

there are fees and costs associated with submitting for awards consideration and FYC ads. the network basically took a look at assad's brown skin and name and said they don't think he's worth the money over the white actor who had less screentime and narrative importance (to the season ig) which is absolutely crazy lmao. it shouldn't be controversial to say that and you can't not discuss this without bringing up sam's name. this has nothing to do with whether he "deserved" to be submitted (and even if I said he doesn't deserve it over assad who's gonna beat my ass?). this white man isn't being persecuted by conversations about blatant racism. but I'd expect nothing less from this fanbase x.

Elrond with dramborleg

This drawing was for @armenelols and @polutrope post about elrond using a family heirloom "dramborleg".

Oh boy I had so much fun.

My main thought while painting this was " what would be different about elrond?"

And the answer is alot but a the same time nothing.

Elrond is in a way a sad character he kind of lost everything and the only constance in his life is the heralded past of his ancestors/family and friends.

He almost can't remember his parents but he can read about them even maglor is ,despite being a kindslayer, described as strong imposing and a mighty warrior.

His own brother,who chooses mortality,is a revered king!

This elrond that I depicted here is not the lord of Riverdale. Not married yet.

This is a elrond who will stand between evil and his folk.

Just like his ancestors did.

He is holding a legacy of strong unrelenting men who did change the tides of war who done the impossible no one else did before them!.

This is also elrond who found out that his brothers legacy Numenor is at the bottom of the sea - because of sauron.

This is a elrond who becomes a lord for many different kind of elves because he is a different kind of elve.

The way in the fight w the museum director insul gets the same big injuries he has given trianon (so far), aand particularly the ones that T thinks back on often as specific sources of fear/humiliation/control (pepper sprayed in the eyes; kicked in the balls; choked with smth small and thin ((wire / car window)))….. im too tired to formulate a proper Thought abt this but the fact this all happens right in front of tjat one painting of dante & virgil in hell + insul and the director are in the exact same pose right as insul is about to die* is obviously so meant to evoke the idea of contrappasso….. at this stage trianon isnt “””strong””” enough (doesnt understand Insul enough and most importantly doesnt fully inhabit himself and his own strengths) to be able to pay back Insul’s violence (as he does later, though not in such a literal way anymore) so tje director will do for now🥰 bc they both need to descend into hell they both need to be subject to physical and psychological violence in order to strip down layers……. so its cool how the director serves that purpose for this phase 1 both in story for insul himself (who eats shit in this fight) and also as a sort of alert for the reader like make no mistake they are BOTH gonna get put thru the ringer. even the top has to wade through cocytus! or smth

Ive had this legitimate conspiracy theory since I heard the rumor back in 2019 that the Child's Play remake was supposed to be an original plot before being adapted into a remake that there are people out there wanting to make original horror movies but some executive keeps going "well, it probably won't sell unless it's under the name of an existing franchise" and slapping a new name on them

Because what do you mean the Until Dawn movie is going to have none of the same characters, plot elements, or even setting

What do you mean it's about an entirely different cast with an entirely new plot

I could understand if they just wanted to make a movie within the Dark Pictures Anthology and realized that the name might turn people away because of the poor game reception, but why pretend it was ever going to be Until Dawn
