​Colorado like everything is locked, and every single restroom in the whole state required a key for entry that you have to get from an employee. And the makeup section in Walmart is in its own weird little cube with a separate cashier so you don’t steal and are trapped in there. You can’t even bring your cart with you. It’s like prison. I’m from Minnesota and have spent decades in and out of Wisconsin too. None of that happens there.

>go to cvs for toothpaste and cold medicine

>hit button for employee to open the toothpaste case

>grabs it before i can

>"i have to hold this at the front for you until you check out"

>go to cold medicine aisle

>ring bell for employee to open the cough medicine case

>nobody shows up

>ring again

>take cold medicine and go to check out

>grab toothpaste from unmanned register

>have to use self checkout

I am genuinely convinced that a part of this is also to make sure we keep our phones as close as possible as much as possible. Because when you want to turn on your lights and grab your phone, why not also scroll a bit, why not look through that shopping app? Now you have seen probably about 20 more ads only because you wanted to turn on your lights.

During this sequence that’s supposed to feel victorious and like, “yeah things aren’t perfect, but the good guys won today!” Merlin watches Guinevere and Arthur hug intimately and you know what? He looks sad.

He looks like he wishes he could touch Arthur so freely and affectionately. He looks like he’s desperate to be seen for everything he is and everything he’s done for him. He looks like he’s accepting he’ll never be with Arthur like that and it’s breaking his heart.

That man is deeply in love and he can’t do anything about it. He is happy for them because he just wants them to be happy, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel like a dagger in his heart.

It reminds me of that quote from Sherlock, “you look sad when you think he can’t see you”

I’m sure other people feel the same and have said similar things, but I think there's just a point in the Rizz™️ debate where we just need to acknowledge Edwin has it. Like people are doing mental gymnastics to be like “well he has some awkward traits so he can’t have Rizz™️ so it must be like negative Rizz™️ that just becomes positive” but I’m like… hello? Edwin Payne is a dark academia dream boat.

He knows dead languages. He dresses impeccably. He moves like a ballerina. He is insanely well read, he never stops learning. He’s clever (clever enough to escape hell). He has a high pain threshold and acts like that’s NOTHING. His sense of humor is cutting. Sure he has flaws, everyone has flaws. That’s being human (or like… a dead human). He was an incredibly fucking gorgeous, charming human being and then he died, tragically.

It’s okay Edwin Payne, I see you beautiful.

looking back on stuff and realising you don't actually have any friends

of course the show that is fundamentally centered around two sisters and their tragedies becomes centered around men and said sisters are sidelined and their arcs are pushed to the sidelines and all the phenomenal care that went into their characters went down the drain. ​one’s arc is literally “the traumatized / mentally unwell character’s happy ending is committing suicide because they are simply too broken to heal and be happy” trope, and her mental instability is forgotten. the other is reduced to a mere plot device, has no agency of her own, and her trauma and anger is treated like a complete and utter joke for the sake of a shitty ship, and because the writers literally, point blank, were bored with her. it’s so sad because the tragedy of these sisters is so utterly devastating, so encompassing and so intricately woven into the narrative. but make it about two men i suppose?
