I love these tours because you get to visit parts of the stations that are normally locked away and discover treasures such as 1940s posters​. February Rare Book Pick

February's #RareBookPick is from 'The Antiquarian repertory : a miscellaneous assemblage of topography, history, biography, customs, and manners' (1807). This 19th-century illustration depicts of the recumbent Knights Templar sculpted figures found in Temple Church, London, UK. The Knights Templar were a powerful and wealthy Christian military order who fought in the Crusades. The official founding year was 1129, with the order disbanded in 1312.

The Temple was the Knights Templars' headquarters in England. The Round Church was consecrated in 1185 and was modelled on the circular Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, the most sacred place of the Holy Land and so of the whole world. 

Temple Church has also gained fame in recent years as it was featured in the novel The Da Vinci Code and also the film of the same name. The church has been in the care of Inner and Middle Temple for 400 years. If you would like to visit the church it is currently open 10:00-16:00 for sightseeing. Find out more here.

I am going to be honest here. I understand why Marinette lied (told half the truth) to Adrien. And I get that she didn't want to hurt him more. I know with my heart I would have probably maybe the same choice too. And I will defend her choice because she did want she thought was right.

BUT ugh!

I HATE how she decided that for him. Like yet again he gets his choice taken away from him. He is at the whim of everyone was decided what is best for him which is something Adrien dislikes.

Even Kagami knows that this wasn't the best idea. She says Marinette is blinded by love. And I agree.

I just don't like it. 😐

There are probably dozens of Roberts' personal journals hidden under a loose floorboard in his rooms in Zelo's Town. The man's a prolific writer.

Nearly everything related to organisation and administration in the New Sequence is recorded in exceptional detail. It's not for his own sake--his memory is excellent in that capacity, and he's able to recall any of the over a dozen projects concurrently happening. Regardless, he ensures that everything is recorded for posterity, and for easy access on a bookshelf in his office, should anyone need it.

As for his own diaries... his writings are almost equally detailed, though slightly perplexing to outside eyes. There are so many things he may do or think that he feels could be potentially damaging knowledge in the wrong hands. As a result, he uses a lot of euphemism or unusual turns of phrase, decipherable only to him, to write about it. These are the notebooks that remain hidden, and he's extremely protective of them. Even in London, he's established a new hiding spot. Should either Roberts or Nite know what they were looking for in the other's home they would instantly find it. They instinctively use the same hiding places.
